• jhuguet (10/5): Un hotel rural espectacular al lado de Cabárceno - Un paraje incomparable a unos minutos de Cabárceno y cerca de Santander. Un hotel rural muy acogedor unido a un torreón con siglos de historia. El despertarse con el sonido de los gallos no tiene precio. Luis, Lourdes y Carlota, unos anfitriones inmejorables, nos han hecho sentir como en casa. Muy buena gente con ganas de hacer las cosas bien y de agradar al cliente. Recomendable también cenar en el hotel rural, no sé nos olvidarán los torreznos!! Volveremos sin duda a la Casona Dos Lagos !!!

• NURIA (10/5): Un alojamiento muy especial - El sitio es espectacular, estuvimos alojados en el anexo que es una habitación para cuatro totalmente independiente y teníamos todos los detalles. Lo mejor es, sin duda la familia que lo lleva que nos hicieron pasar una estancia inolvidable por su educación y entrega. El desayuno y la cena de 10 por la calidad y el precio ajustado. Te ofrecen un desayuno que cuesta 7e y te dan un minimo de zumo de naranja, un cafe y pedimos un huevo revuelto sin pan.. todo bastante escaso y como con racionamiento... entendemos que es un establecimiento familiar pero creo que es la primera vez que no me dejan desayunar libremente un desayuno mediterraneo.
• Pau87 (7/5): - El entorno increible, relax , paisaje muy cerca de Santander o cabarceno aislados pero con buena carretera y muy cerca en coche.En familia muy recomendable para los niños El desayuno para mi gusto un poco simple, eche en falta algo de queso, embutido, fruta ..habia zumo muy pequeño, cafe y dos pequeñas tostadas con tomate o mantequilla o napolitana o cruasan a elegir por una de estas 3 opciones por 7 euros. Entiendo que estas en un hotel pero se nos quedó algo corto , prefiero pagar un poco mas y tener mas opciones, tortilla, fruta , las tostadas con algo que no sea mantequilla o tomate, ahora en el restaurante estuvimos muy cómodos

• Philip (8/5): Lovely place to stay, close to the Santander Ferry. Probably a little expensive for what you get but a very warm welcome - Staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. No lounge area. Rooms are very basic.

Bathtub had no plug and no overhead shower. The owner was painting but pleasant.Hus wife looked bored . No coffee or pudding offered after a poor dinner. Wouldn't stay again despite location.

Sin duda lo recomendaré y si volvemos por allí, no descartamos volver a alojarnos allí.

• Marta (8/5): SITIO CON ENCANTO - Un sitio precioso! Estuvimos este fin de semana para ver el parque de Cabárceno y estabamos al lado, pero también al lado de Santander. Fuimos con perro y una maravilla, zona verde para pasear y un entorno precioso. El hotel muy cómodo y muy bonito, me quedo con la belleza del sitio, la cama que era muy cómoda y se agradece para gente que le cuesta dormir fuera como a mi y con la amabilidad de los dueños, muy majos. Por cierto, la hamburguesa de la cena espectacular 😋 Nos quedaron cositas pendientes que ver, así que volveremos. Gracias 🙏🏼

• JUAN (9/5): Tranquilidad en medio de la naturaleza. - El hotel es super bonito y está en un entorno precioso. Muy tranquilo y rodeado de naturaleza. Todo muy bien cuidado tanto los interiores como las zonas verdes. Tiene una explanada de aparcamiento y está super cerca de Cabárceno. Es un hotel pequeño por lo que el trato es muy cercano. Aunque se puede salir paseando hacia el pueblo, me dio la sensación de que siempre era necesario moverse en coche. El restaurante-cafetería está pensado para los huéspedes y al ser un hotel pequeño no pueden ofrecer mucha variedad, aunque la calidad de la comida que preparan es excelente.

• nick (8/5): You have to pay for a beautiful house and gardens and that is reflected fairly in the price. Owners were delightful. - Fantastic gardens, great old house and lovely people. Charming patrons. Shower is good, room is spacious. Lots of rooms to choose from and some rooms lack soul. Ours had plenty of room but lacked the character that went with the rest of the house. Breakfast room is in a concrete rectangle by the car park; perfectly functional but disappointing when they have such a magnificent garden and main house. Nothing wrong with that but just a bit of a shame.

• JAVIER (9/5): Naturaleza en Cabárceno - El alojamiento es muy familia y tranquilo, trato cercano, pocas habitaciones. Las camas eran cómodas y confortables. Desayuno muy bien y posibilidad de cena si se precisa. Muy buena la ubicación respecto el Parque Natural de Cabárceno. Exteriores muy bonitos y agradable con una zona de un pequeño lago y zona ajardinada para relajarse. Aparcamiento gratuito en el mismo complejo. Para uno o dos días genial. Quizás se podría renovar algo el lavabo, pero en general todo estaba muy bien.

The ‘restaurant’ was more like a snack bar with burnt deep frozen pizza in the menu. Everything was there from a cheap supermarket, precooked. It was the worst food I have ever had in my plate in my entire life. After such a dinner we cancelled the breakfast. I was too risky.

Desde mi punto de vista el desayuno es caro por lo que se ofrece, tostadas, bolleria o fruta con bebida 7€. La cena es sencilla pero correcta, platos combinados o hamburguesa o pizza precocida, acorde con el precio, sin grandes pretensiones. Camas cómodas. Las habitaciones huelen mucho a humedad, creo que es un aspecto a mejorar. No hay aislamiento por lo que se escucha todo de las habitaciones contiguas, lo que dificulta el descanso bastante, también sería un punto a mejorar

An amazing property and gardens with a lake. Rooms are in adjoining wing . Quite rural and definitely a little bit of paradise . Was so calming and peaceful . Would highly recommend. Nothing I didn’t like as minor things were compensated for . Would’ve liked A/C as hottest June on record but room was actually not unbearably hot. Food choice very basic but served with a lovely smile from Luis wife . I am coeliac and they were v accommodating .

They provide us with access to their garage to store our bicycles overnight. Perfect for an overnight stay before getting the ferry back to the UK. • Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - We have stayed several times. Luis and his wife are very friendly. There used to be an on site restaurant that was run separate to the hotel. That has closed and now luis's wife cooks dinner and breakfast for you. It's very good home cooking. The hotel is an old 13th century manor house set in wonderful gardens. There are a few bars and restaurants 10 mins walk down the road.

• Tony (1/5): Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone. - The location is very impressive. When making the reservation in July I asked about having evening dinner in the restaurant, which was confirmed by email as being 'no problem', after checking in we were told it closed at the end of August, there were no nearby restaurants. I would have cancelled my reservation if I had been forewarned the restaurant had closed. We were prevented from accessing the garden and lake areas because they had been taken over by a very large number of people (100+) enjoying a private closed function. We also requested a double bed and a walk-in shower, which had also been acknowledged by the proprietor, we were allocated a room with small single beds and a 'climb in' shower over a bath. The room was cold and unheated. After a seven hour journey we wanted to relax and use facilities we'd been assured were available, they were not. Our room was in the actual tower (family room) and it was just amazing, like belonging to the medieval times and the view couldn't be better. I had the opportunity to get to know the history of this house and its ancestors.... The whole experience was just perfect.
