Guest Reviews
- Aubrey (10/5): - The staff are very nice especially the guy that greeted us at the front desk. Room is of good size and clean.
- Janzic (8/5): -
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Yvonne peiyi (8/5): 总体干净舒服,性价比高 - 位置好,近湖边,我们早上可以看到日出好美 有点旧,可以翻新一下
- Santos (10/5): Rooms is clean and all we need for beddings and toiletries was there . - Accessible and easy to find .. None

- Annette (10/5): -
- Ann Louise (8/5): Beautiful time - The excellent staff..especially Richard & Prince ..who went out of their way to help with my handicapped friend. Hot tub very small and dangerous to get into. Also one elevator only & with handicap person..if elevator broke ..could be problems
- Cory (9/5): - Great location. Having a balcony with the lake view is the best deal of all!! And pet friendly too.
- Margaret (7/5): - We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel. We felt that the room could have been cleaned more thoroughly as there were traces of food stuck to the coffee table, especially for the price we paid for the night. The overall cleanliness of the room. See above.
- Veronika (9/5): -
- Beverly (7/5): It was satisfactory. - Location is nice. Room was clean. Elevators are warm inside.
- Elizabeth (7/5): average - The breakfast was fine. the beds were fine. The location was fine. The loud noise from across the street lasted until 1:30 am = not your fault. The room had shabby furnishings. The hallways were dark, poorly lit and had stained carpets. The price was easily the most money we have ever paid for an older hotel with shabby furnishings. We did not have a lake view for the $274 nightly rate. We have stayed at much better places for less money.
- Emilie (9/5): - The view was amazing, room was well cleaned
- Gay (7/5): Relaxing and quiet - The staff at the restaurant were good. And the food and drinks were good.
Rooms were very clean The air conditioner did not work well.
Poor pillows

- McCullough (10/5): -
- Craig (7/5): Nice getaway for a few days. Gimli has a lot to offer. - Location and extremely comfortable bed. Nice shops Quite dated. Definitely needs a refresh.
- Goossen (8/5): -
- Jerry (8/5): -
- Victor (4/5): - Good location, friendly staff, great restaurant but the room was full of flies inside that did not let us rest all night buzzing in our ears and crawling on us. We arrived at 7pm and after dinner we spent 30 minutes trying to eliminate them but could not do all of them and ended up waking up constantly. Just exhausting.
- Dianne (10/5): - Clean and the staff was very friendly.
- Christopher (10/5): - Lakeside at its best!
- Adrianna (6/5): - The facility is outdated, with very old, uncomfortable matresses and pillows. I hope owners would invest into renovting this beautiful resort.
- Terry (10/5): - It was quiet and close to everything we wanted.
- Bev (10/5): - Clean, comfortable room.
- Byron (6/5): - Enjoyed my stay.
- Marcia (8/5): - A little dated but clean. Staff were very friendly.
- Rick (10/5): - Beach view was somewhat obstructed.
Did not visit bar as I don't dri k.
- shauna (10/5): - Check in was a breeze. Wedding venue was lovely
- Jenn (5/5): Beautiful location needs some tlc - The breakfast at the hotel was good. The location is beautiful!! The room needs work. Tiles were loose and popping up in the bathroom. The room is dated and could use a good clean. The beds were comfy for the 2 nights we were there. All staff we encountered were very friendly. We went to the pool it was good really liked the indoor and outdoor pool. I would close the doors in the hallway to the pool as there was a strong foul odour and looked like maintenance rooms possibly. Be sure to stop and check out the Gimli glider museum that’s in the hotel it’s fantastic. Fix up the rooms like broken tiles. The rooms could use a good cleaning. Hallways to pool smelled terrible close the doors to the maintenance rooms in the hallway may help with the smell and appearance.
- Kawaljeet (10/5): - ,,
- Juliana (6/5): -
- Margaret (6/5): Room in need of an overall very old looking - Didn’t have a beach view.
Room was in a need of an overall.
Bathroom some tiles cracked new flooring badly needed. Wood furniture were all scraped.
- Shantel (10/5): - Loved the balcony! We had a view of the beach and water. So lovely.
- Alexandra (9/5): -
- Ronald (10/5): - Room was clean, food was delicious, service was good.
- Ian (9/5): Conveanent to church for funeral - Comfortable beds and clean rooms Close to downtown
- Peter (10/5): - The hotel is comfortable, unpretentious, somewhat old fashioned and very friendly. The rooms facing the lake have a beautiful view, and the Seagull's restaurant offers well made meals at a very reasonable price. This is a great place to stay if you want to relax and leave your daily pressures behind.
- Ahmad (10/5): - Great get away.
- Bernadette (10/5): - Hotel was situated on the shores of the lake. You are able to walk the pier and the boardwalk. Beautiful views from my hotel room.
- Analiza (10/5): - Great
- Brinder-Paul (10/5): - Excellent service. Loved the hot tub experience after day of pickleballing. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - It was a great place. Everyone we met were so nice.
- charlie (10/5): - The balcony and beach
- Vicki (10/5): - Nice sized suite.
- David (8/5): - Balcony with partial Lake view was nice
- Barbara (8/5): - The hotel is nothing special (getting a little run down) but the amenities were nice and the area is beautiful.
- Diane (8/5): Girls getaway! - Our girls stay was wonderful. The room was great. We had beeakfast at the restaurant. Very tasty. The staff was very accomodating.
Your front entrance could use a fresh up with some new furniture.
- rosemary (8/5): Pilsbury golf - Golf friends having a get together
- Jax (8/5): - I was here nearly 15 years ago and the hotel property were first class - it’s still retains the lovely structure and of course the setting is amazing - Lake Winnipeg is truly beautiful and humbling is such an interesting Icelandic Heritage place. However the hotel its self is Shabby Genteel now - for $181 .00 I’ve stayed n far superior hotels around the world.
The towel “shelf” fell of the bathroom wall when I used the toilet at 2am and took a hand towel to dry my hands - it was barely secured on the wall. The bathroom could do with a good upgrade - the amenities lotion, hand soap and shampoo were really good as was the rainwater shower head but….
The lady at the front desk when I checked in hmm - pointedly said yes you’re in the basic room! Yes we were! Television remotes didn’t work, we got new batteries and it still next work -,we only had the weather channel!
Would I stay here again no - not for the price we paid - I’m sure I can find something comparable price wise - after all as was pointed out Basic Room!!!
The staff in the dining room were lovely as was Richard early morning front desk clerk whom I reported the fallen towel rack too.
I want my $100 deposit back - we didn’t break it - IT FELl OFF
- Linda (8/5): - Balcony was a plus and having the lake right there was super.
- Jona (8/5): - Loved the Beach view.
- Cdn Rob (8/5): Great location on the lake - Great location on lake, balcony with partial lake view, coffee/tea, fridge, microwave in room, work desk, separate bedroom, comfortable bed, near restaurants. All went well.
- Luzviminda (8/5): - I like the view at the seagull dining room..
We did not like Robins cafeteria..it's not a clean area to dine in.
- BRIGITTE (7/5): -
- Linda (8/5): I enjoyed my stay very much. - Location, view , pool, hottub and restaurant
- Fred (9/5): -
- Kenneth (10/5): - Check in was smooth! All staff are very friendly. Rooms are also clean!
- Ray (6/5): - Good location. I wouldnt say it was dirty but quite overdue for a refresh. Only one night so didnt really use extra facilities but did eat at the restaurant amd would also say average.
Overall satisfactory for price.
- James (8/5): - Dated but comfortable
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Beautiful scenery very walkable and great dining options
- Sandra (6/5): - It was nice to be close to everything. We enjoyed seeing Gimli sites that were open...but the Gimli Glider and tourism information was closed. We are Deaf and the closed captioning on our TV was not working. All TV's must have closed captioning available...it was mandated by the government.
- Melanie (10/5): - Great !! Rooms could use some newer upgrades but it was very clean and we had a great experience! Loved the attached restaurant that over looks the water !
- Jhonmer (8/5): - The resort is outdated and need of upgrade urgently. Very outdated and noisy AC unit. Carpets dirty and stinky. Swimming pools dirty. Hottub worst
- Carl (8/5): - Outdated and needs a major reno.
- Scott (8/5): - Front desk staff were great! The hotel needs a facelift, hallways, updating the rooms!! The pools and location were perfect.
- Kim (8/5): - Located in the heart of Gimli this hotel puts everything at your finger tips. It’s across the street from the best fish place.
- Dwight (5/5): I've been to many hotels than provided more for a lot less money. Not good value for the price. - The location was very good, right on the beach (although we were not there to use the beach). The indoor pool was closed and the outdoor pool did not look very inviting - small, with little space to sit around it.
The furniture in the rooms looked old and well-worn.
- Kathy (8/5): Sweet Spot - Great spot to get your beach vibe on.
Gorgeous sunrises, fabulous local food.
- Desaulniers (10/5): -
- Amanda (6/5): - Staff was very friendly. Pool is great!
Our room needed maintenance...the screen door fell off, the towel rod fell off the wall (we were able to fix) and the toilet didn't flush. Maintenance was called more than once to fix it.
- Paula (8/5): - Clean quiet lots to do great pools in and out hot tub beach a metre away beach/lake view great friendly staff so relaxing
- Inha (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The location is good but the hotel is run down and unmaintained. The cleaners do a good job but the over all room, halls and hotel has been unkept.
Service was horrible primarily due to lack of.
In a day when you can rent cottages and homes maintaining and upgrading should be a priority.
- Eseyas (8/5): - The hot tab and the swimming pool was nice
- Raymond (8/5): - Everything was good!
- David (10/5): - All was good
- Christopher Ivan (8/5): - Very expensive- not considerate
- Susan (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- Adam (10/5): - Great location
- Nimfa (4/5): - close to the beach, nice location, our hotel washroom dirty, floor, bathtub with hair, drawers dusty.
- HJay (6/5): - Great location and area. Hotel is tired.
- Chris (7/5): Great people checking in, helpful. Lots of chlorine in indoor pool. Was cold and windy so we used it - No breakfast included. Fridge too small, no microwave.
- Nadiia (8/5): -
- Venelin (8/5): - Gimliis a lovely place to visit!
- Pamela (8/5): - We had a good time. Thank you
- Bev (8/5): - Love that it is right by the water & shopping!!
- Quinn (4/5): - Really too bad there isn't anyone else to give them competition.
- Debbie (10/5): - Bed was comfortable and food was very good
- Mark (6/5): - The rooms need thoroughly cleaning. Unpleasant smell, fabric chair looks disgusting, it looks like puke still on it and animals hair. Very disappointed this time.
- TokaTpoHbCyka (6/5): -
- Bob (10/5): - Great location
Close to the beach
Close to many restaurants
