O pequeno almoço podia ter mais variedade, como por exemplo manga que é abundante na Guiné Bissau nesta altura do ano. Não tem canais portugueses na TV.

Boa localização, nada mais que isso. Como já chegamos tarde, o transfer não nos foi buscar ao aeroporto, partiu e deixou-nos no meio do nada e sem qualquer explicação. Tivemos de apanhar outro meio de transporte, o que aquela hora da noite foi muito contrangedor. Tivemos sorte, o taxista foi muito simpático e acolhedor, mas o serviço do hotel falhou.

• Eralperen (2/5): Disaster - It is a 3-star hotel (maximum) in international standards. The wi-fi connection is very very very weak. The café/bar (Corisco Cafe) charges more than the prices listed on the menu. So, be careful. The service quality is an absolute joke. The food is extremely poor, and the prices are unreasonably high. Overall, there is a serious problem with both their integrity and work ethic. The gym is also very expensive, not clean and very hot like a sauna.
• Jeff (10/5): - Probably the best hotel in Bissau. If you don’t speak Portuguese, the language barrier is an issue with the staff. The restaurant is fair at best but passable and clean. The hotel itself is very clean with a reliable airport shuttle very important here. Did have some issues with the bathroom flooding based on the way the tiles are laid in the shower, but the rooms are freshly remodeled good standard all in all an excellent stay

I’ll like to stay there during my - Location, convenience, the guy we met at the reception when I arrived and the one on the day I was leaving were good and professional. There was a particular guy in charge of the restaurant during dinner was exceptionally good and friendly. The mattress was not good for me and while booking I made a note asking for orthopaedic one. That affected my well being and I see that as a failure. There were no halal meals, so the options were really limited - thanks to the good guy, I could have starved.

The manager, Cesar, was beyond helpful, going out of his way on multiple occasions to help us or make our lives easier there. A really nice guy who spoke many languages and helped translate. He always made you feel like you were his priority. Saying that, all the staff were lovely and always helpful. The breakfast is amazing - a spread of cooked options, pastries, cereals, juices, freshly made to order crepes, cakes, breads and spreads, fruit… and the list really does go on. The hotel was spotlessly clean in every room. The pool and outside area is beautiful and you can get drinks and food ordered to your sun lounger. We enjoyed our time spent at this hotel a lot. Thank you Cesar and Ceiba Hotel.

• timtraveler14 (10/5): The number one hotel in Bissau. Simply spectacular. - This was a fabulous hotel. The breakfast and dinners were superb. My room had a nice view. The gym and pool were excellent. Most importantly the staff at the front desk, the restaurant, the security guards, the small little snack bar on the first floor, housekeeping and throughout the hotel were outstanding. Specifically noteworthy with exemplary service and friendliness were Seco in the restaurant, Jailson Saqui at the front desk, Herculano the shuttle driver, and Myra the housekeeper who was so helpful and had the best smile. Also the hotel has a nice lobby, spacious pool area and three ATM’s.

• Jayson (4/5): Be very very careful with this hotel for fraudulent charges and dishonest employees. - The hotel is the nicest in the city with modern facilities, a comfortable room, and a great pool. The hotel intentionally charged me a substantially higher rate than I reserved through booking.com. When confronted, they said they didn’t speak English, and said it was something I had to resolve with Booking.com. I submitted all the paperwork to booking, and the hotel refused to refund the difference. Be very very careful with this hotel for fraudulent charges and dishonest employees.

Seco in the restaurant was so fantastic, very friendly. Maya, in housekeeping, did a very good job in cleaning my room. Very friendly. Jailson Saqui at the front desk was outstanding. Herculano, the shuttle driver was very friendly and helped me out a lot. All of the staff including the security guards were exceptionally good. I loved the hotel. This is the hotel that everyone should stay at in Bissau. I loved the hotel!

• ToniT1079 (10/5): Luxurious Hotel Stay and Amazing Africa Art - The Ceiba Hotel is the most luxurious hotel in Guinea-Bissau with an open lobby with seating areas and tasteful African art. Our group stayed here on 2 separate occasions. Service is personal and attentive. Rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and lot of pillows. In the rooms, find water and coffee and tea maker, and a refrigerator. Walk-in shower with several toiletries, inc shave kit and dental kit. Th pool area offers several covered lounges in a beautiful setting. Lots of outdoor seating The Corisco Cafe is open 830am- 10pm for breakfast items, pastries, tapas, pizza, burgers, and a great tex Mex sausage dog fro indoor seating or outdoor near the pool. Excellent fitness room open 7am-11pm. Breakfast buffet includes a huge array of fruits, juices, pastries, proteins, yogurts, and so much. Accessibility Wheel chair accessible restrooms in lobby ond on two places on each floor with moveable hand rails, 5foot x 5 foot space. Accessible entry to hotel with automatic door and access to elevators and rooms. Walk in showers.

• N (10/5): Great hotel, would not recommend anything else in Bissau! - Hotel is really nice and well organized. The hotel has a new manager who clearly really cares about his employees/customers. From what I've seen, this is the best hotel you can find in Guinea-Bissau. The manager and staff organized a tour guide that also works at the hotel. Alfa spoke perfect English and also went above and beyond and helped me out to reach my next destination! (Thanks Alfa!) Everything went smoothly. Just know that Guinea-Bissau does not have a lot of English speakers but you can easily get by with the staff with basic French/Portuguese/Spanish and Google Translate if all else fails

I sent multiple messages and email for weeks but no one responded. Finally, a day before by arrival I had to call them to schedule the airport pick up. Staff in general were just ok. Not very warm. There are limited quality hotel options in Bissau. This property is supposedly 5-star but did not feel so.

• Marissa (10/5): Perfect stay at the Ceiba hotel! - Perfect stay at the Ceiba hotel! The hotel was clean, modern with a moderately sized room and good sized bathroom. The room had Ac, TV, iron and a fridge. The hotel had a nice gym with a good selection of machines and weights in a modern building overlooking the pool which also had AC. The pool area was very nice and modern complimented by palms trees to give it a tropical, beach feel. The restaurant food and service was amazing, all the food was very high quality fresh and cooked to perfection. Also the service was very efficient. The hotel has underground parking which is easily accessible via the lifts. The staff at the hotel very helpful although English speakers may struggle if you don’t have a second language. The staff mostly Portuguese or French but having Spanish or Italian will be sufficient to get by. The property stated that they offered many services such as ‘car washing’ however this was not available to us when we inquired.

• bretts11 (8/5): Great location for a Bissau tourist visit - Very nice hotel in the heart of Bissau, the location is easily walkable to the main attractions. Hotel generously offers a free airport shuttle also. I didn't even book a ride in advance, but I saw the Ceiba worker at the airport and he took me there with no questions asked. Unfortunately, there is no bar, but the cafe sells some drinks until 10pm. At times the cafe isn't capable of making change, and the credit card machine doesn't always work. The rooms at the hotel are very nice and everything worked well, including hot water and AC. Only difficulty at the hotel was lack of English skills, particularly in the restaurant. I wasn't able to get some basic answers back about if certain dishes were vegetarian or not.
• Robertas (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the hotel and the facilities for business meetings and even conference. Spacious rooms with comfortable bed expected in this region. The breakfast was good, however, the food supposed to be hot could be expected to hot but not cold. I have requested to make a sunny side up eggs and got fully fried.

However, one minor thing that very few people do speak English. I would expect as international hotel more people would be speaking English. All seems to be what would be expected. Hotel staff friendly and willing to assist you in case of need. One thing would point out that only few people speak English which would help to understand better each other.

Other staff (housekeeping) might be further trained in customer service, however. I would stay here if ever I return to Bissau.
