- Tamara (10/5): - We have stayed twice now. Always extremely clean and we love the guest facilities. The guest kitchen is very handy, and as a family we love the sheltered outdoor space with a cubby house and bbq. Our go to place when staying in Coober Pedy now.

- Chris (4/5): - We stayed in a an underground room also known as a dugout in an opal mining town.The roo had rudimentary tea and coffee making facilities. We were expected to wash our dishes etc in a plastic bowl,there was no sink except in the bathroom.The decor was old ,the linen looked dated and dirty.There was a layer of dust on the floor.There were also ants on the floor..The furniture was old and the room smelt..It just looks like it could do with a makeover..

- Simon (10/5): - Love the quirky underground vibe. Room small but very practical, clean, and comfortable. Nice shared kitchen facility, we made good use of that. It was also great to sit outside with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. We only stayed one night - twice - in transit between Adelaide and Uluru, first northbound, then returning southbound a few days later. The town of Coober Pedy is also quirky in a good way, it looked neat and it would have been nice to spend an extra day to explore, but unfortunately we didnât have time.

When I arrived in a massive rain storm in a car, they helped me plan places that I would safely and easily make it to in my vehicle. The room was great and held temperatures wonderfully. I highly recommend staying here.

- Peter (10/5): Always great - We were back after a 12 year hiatis. Very comfortable motel room with 2 bedfooms. It is dug into the hillside, which keeps it cool. There is also air con. There is a basic kitchen with thepossibility to cook in the kitchen in the main house. We loved sitting outside for breakfast. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

The kitchen was very well stocked and very clean. There is a barbecue which would have been great to use but we chose to go out to Big Winch 360 on their recommendation. It was excellent.

The shared kitchen was generously set up and roomy, with plenty of crockery and appliances and the staff were very helpful and friendly - as well as understanding and generous about an accidental breakage in our shower. It is an excellent place to stay while you explore this fascinating town.

More asking people to be considerate of their fellow guests didnât make any difference and the bedroom backed on to carport which was also quite loud. Enjoyed the underground experience which is what we were after, great views and awesome concept

Parking ok right outside the door and not a bad view from the common patio area out front. The down side is that the common hallway to rooms is like an echo chamber. Unfortunately we were there at the same time as another group of noisy, ignorant and thoughtless families which made for a sleepless night.

- Helen (2/5): - I cannot fault the staff at this motel. However, the room was so small you couldnât move. Certainly there was no room for 2 people and 2 bags. It was also very noisy. But the worstâŚ.in the foyer was a light/fan which was on all night. The door to our room was coloured glass and there was a window beside it. All this would have been ok if the curtain was not semi sheer. It was like sleeping inside a kaleidoscope. When I spoke to the manager she said I wasnât the first to complain but the owner wonât do anything about it. Her solutionâŚ.give me a blanket to make a thicker curtain. I wanted to sleep underground in the complete dark and silence. This motel went no where near providing that experience

- Igor (10/5): - Very interesting property carved in the rock that delivers unusual living experience. Very friendly staff, good condition. Rooms have some weird smell, and because it is in the rock, there is no phone / 4g reception. Unfortunately, in the evenings and mornings when most guests were in their rooms, the Wi-Fi wasn't stable and could not cope with the load, probably worth upgrading the router. Everything else was great.

- Anthony (8/5): - We had the 2 bedroom family unit. Everything was great. The only complaint would be the bed in the main bedroom. A small double and possibly the hardest bed ive ever slept on resulting in 2 of the worst sleeps on the trip so far.
- Tom (10/5): - We're were at this property due to an enforced stay ( about 7 days) in Coober Pedy that resulted from closure of a major highway from flooding. The owner of the property was so helpful and generous and entertaining in suggesting ways that we could make the most of our 'enforced stay'... and we did. We'd unreservedly recommend this property because of the 'vibe' but also because the rooms and facilities were just, simply, great and appropriate to the place.
