We didn’t think that 102 steps would be required to reach our 4th floor room also, our sleep was disturbed on our last 2 nights by a large group (~10) of rowdy young men returning back to their rooms at 3-4am.

• Valý (7/5): Super well located, cozy little hotel. - The location was fantastic! I liked the general vibe of the hotel, it's quaint, charming and has a warmth to it. There was a bit of a smell from sewage pipes (I assume) in the small lobby, which wasn't the nicest first impression. But no smell in the room whatsoever. Our room faced a school court yard so when we opened the window it was noisy. But when closed, the windows kept the noise away which was good. Didn't like that I had to carry my heavy bag up 4-5 flights of stairs. Don't think that it's very accessible for older people and people with disabilities. The room we got was tiny, but clean and bright.

Only the fact that there is no elevator so you must trek up to the floor of your room by stairs … but if you’re in good shape there is no worry!! Enjoy your stay here everyone is delightful!!

• Blesse (10/5): Wonderful. I highly recommend Chiado 44. - Chiado 44 was perfect for my stay in Lisbon. The location was great as it was easy to get to many sites, either by walking or bus. Nearby were many good restaurants and an especially wonderful cafe/bakery. The staff was very kind and helpful. I really can’t think of anything. However, if someone has difficulty with going up many stairs, this would not be a good place.

The breakfast was wonderful, freshly prepared eggs at choice, coffee selection, fresh juice. Staff helpful and friendly. Location very convenient to metro and sightseeing of old town, yet quiet. To get to the beautiful view you must take stairs, no lift available. It helped us get our exercise in, which was not bad. Staff helps with luggage. Room was a bit small, then again, we were out all day and we didn't mind. A narrow cabinet to unpack shirts would have been great.

• Kass (8/5): Très bien placé ! - Hôtel très sympa et très bien placé dans Lisbonne. Le personnel est également très gentil et avenant. Si nous revenons à Lisbonne, nous réserverons à nouveau ici. Il faudrait peut-être revoir la peinture sur les murs / le tour de fenêtre qui commence à moisir.
• Frauke (8/5): Sehr nettes Hotel im Chiado-Viertel - Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer im.1. Stock mit Erker und Blick auf den Fluss.( Je höher man wohnt, desto besser wird dieser). Die Einrichtung ist einfach, aber nett. Das Zimmer hat TV, Wlan und Kühlschrank, das Badezimmer ist mit Ritualsartikel ausgestattet. Das fanden wir sehr schön. Ja, man muss viele Treppensteigen, aber das ist keine Überraschung, wenn man sich im Vorfeld die Hotelbeschreibung gut durchliest. Uns hat es nicht gestört. Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich gut. Man ist schnell bei der UBahn, Bahn etc und die Einkaufsstraßen des Chiado-Viertels und auch das Barrio Alto sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Das Einchecken war auch umkompliziert und wir könnten am Anreise- (und Abreisetag) unser Gepäck an der Rezeption aufbewahren, um bereits Lissabon zu erkunden. In der Zwischenzeit wurde unser Gepäck sogar auf das Zimmer gebracht! Alles in allem haben wir uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und auch die Damen, die an der Rezeption arbeiten, waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden beim nächsten Lissabon-Besuch dort wieder buchen. Eigentlich nichts. Das Einzige, was mir aufgefallen ist, dass uns das Wasser aus dem Hahn als trinkbar empfohlen wurde. Das würde ich allerdings nicht empfehlen, da es sehr stark nach Chlor riecht. Das ist aber sicherlich kein Manko des Hotels.

I made the mistake of thinking breakfast was part of room cost. It was not and it was fine but boring. I recommend you find a good breakfast restaurant if you stay a few days

The room itself, though small, was full of lovely touches and used the space well. I struggled with the non feather duvet, and sound carried between rooms.

The most central part of Lisbon with numerous restaurants and bars around the corner. 5 minute walk from the Metro stop.

Breakfast was nice, different types of eggs and cold meats and cheese. Freshly squeezed orange juice each morning and the milk was kept lovely and cold. Found it all nice, knew about all the steps before we arrived so definitely not for the elderly, but they didn't takes away from our lovely stay.

The rooms are minimalist; we didn't have a lot of luggage, so there was plenty of space for everything. The room was clean, odor-free, and cleaned daily. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river; it's small, but plenty large enough for a morning coffee. Thanks to the hotel staff for a wonderful stay! -

Clean with Rituals toiletries which I always appreciate. Nice litte balcony with a view. Stairs are fine, yeh there are a few so it is an issue if you have mobility issues, but totally fine if you don’t. Good value for money. The bathroom does not offer a lot of privacy.

• thomas (10/5): L'Hotel Chiado44 ti farà sentire accolto, coccolato e benvenuto. - Sono felice di aver scelto il Chiado 44 ! Si trova in una posizione perfetta per una vacanza breve essendo vicina ai principali mezzi di trasporto e si raggiungono le mete turistiche del centro anche a piedi. Appena usciti dall'Hotel ci si ritrova subito in un quartiere importante per la sua storia. La movida notturna è a due passi ma al tempo stesso non disturba la quiete dell'Hotel. Dai piani alti si intravede il fiume quindi la vista è un valore aggiunto. Lo staff è il massimo per cortesia e professionalità. Le camere dotate di ogni comfort e pulitissime. Privo di ascensore ma a Lisbona scale e salite fanno parte della sua bellezza. Lo consiglio a tutti senza alcun dubbio. Forse è migliorabile il menù della colazione che è comunque più che sufficiente.

• Larissa (10/5): A must-stay in Lisbon! - The views, location, and staff were all amazing! The beds were very comfortable. The front desk staff helped us plan activities and went out of their way to double check our train tickets, and also brought our luggage up the stairs which was such a nice surprise! It’s expected so it’s not truly a complaint, but the 10 flights of stairs were rough after a long day of walking but again expected!
