Guest Reviews
- Scott (8/5): Ear plugs - Room was clean, large The 4 am wake up
- Dexter (2/5): - The view was nice!! It has so much potential!! How run down it is !! The bathroom was not clean and we have been backpacking for ages!! Our door did not lock and the pool had algae floating at the top. Its sad because this place is in such a nice spot and could have so much potential if they had more staff to up keep it. But it looks like one person is doing everything and no maintenance for anything. Luckily they have a safe for our important documents so we could feel at ease to go out for the day !! Nothing else could be locked up !!
There was mold in the fridge and blood stains on the floor outside !!
- Jani-Aleksi (5/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): Richtig guter Tipp !!! - Alles, tollste Unterkunft unserer Reise
- Asier (8/5): -
- Zheng (1/5): The worst hotel I have ever experienced. - Not at all There is no service at all, change your order to a cheaper one without any communication before arrive. And promise to cancel after reject the relocate, but they just take away your money after you gone. Anyone who wants to live should be noticed the how bad the hotel is.
- Fernando (7/5): -
- Claire (4/5): Was stressful at the start as they hadn’t got our booking so we were taken elsewhere and then had to negotiate with some - The ocean view Being told to move to another place as they had messed up our booking
- Xavier (5/5): Excelent views and nice place to stay with groups or couple, but quite dirty. - The Ocean Villa is so nice, with it’s swimming pool facing the sea and a beautiful garden. Beds are good and the big mirror in the room is so useful. It is REALLY DIRTY! All the small things that doesn’t directly depend on the regular clean is full of dirtiness and grease. The bathroom is the dirtiest part by far, with dust over the shower.
During the stay, you seem to be controlled, as the people working there ask you at all times “where do you go?”.
- Gerard (8/5): Very good -
- Jan (1/5): Tragic comedy - Nothing Totally scam, they are over book and told you their system is not working properly. Not even chance to get some kind of compensation. They put you to old, dirty cabin.
- Jeanne (7/5): Good -
- Nguyen (2/5): 15 mins away from main part of town on scooter. Access road to property is very poor. - Room was quite modern in design The access road to the property was in poor condition, featuring potholes and uneven surfaces. Operating a scooter on this road would require considerable experience, and it is not recommended for novice riders. The key lock to the property was damaged, preventing me from securing my room. Despite the staff’s assurances of the area’s safety, I found it difficult to trust their judgment and felt uncomfortable leaving my room unattended. Furthermore, after using the shower for a minute, the drain became blocked, causing the shower to overflow.
- Jodie (1/5): Aircon not cold, keep awake all night with music and the rooster - The view is amazing Dirty, no sleep, aircon not cold, loud, food is horrible
- Adam (9/5): Great infinity pool great quite location and value for money . - The service was great for a small community in nusa penida island, very friendly and helpful, food was good,
- Estrella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sergio (4/5): Disappointed - Staff Was dirty
- Darren (8/5): Lovely place, with a bit of room service be even better - Gorgeous views and lovely room No service or clean for room
- Carmel (6/5): Pleasant - Location, view, and villa beautifully
Staff were nice No Housekeeping
Aircon may have been dirty as there was a mouldy smell coming from the aircon.
Cutlery, dishes not very clean.
- Murtaza (3/5): Poor -
- Thierry (1/5): Be carefull - Nothing Be careful : The hotel contacted us 30 min before your arrival to inform us there is no availability.
They proposed to do the cancellation request, but we wait it until now.
We will certainly be not refunded, all the booking is lost ( 2 nights for 9 persons).
This is my worst experience on booking.
- Lydia (1/5): WHAT STAY WHEN YOU GET A SHOCK THAT THE HOTEL THAT YOU BOOKED DOESN'T EXIST. - It was not existing. There was no Hotel. Imagine to our shock and no body is receiving the calls. The last minute trauma we went through alongwith my senior citizen mom. Booking.Com has cheated us. The amount was collected online at the time of Booking and There was no hotel existing. What we went through cannot be explained. It was there duty to intimate us. This was the only place the money was collected in advance. It's shocking 😲 total scam.
- Alejandra (7/5): Good - The room is comfortable The breakfast is poor
- Ruby (5/5): Disappointing - We were upgraded The place was really disappointing. The photos are extremely out dated, very run down, very un clean. Felt like cleaning is not something they do between guests. The place itself felt like it was falling apart in some areas. The staff also promised a pick up which was booked and then when we arrived no one was there to get us so we had to make our own way. Glad we only stayed 2 nights, wouldn’t book again.
- Curti (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (5/5): Passable - The view from the bungalows and the pools The lack of cleaning, lack of information on where to go to have breakfast,
- Vaida (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luisa (9/5): I would come back!! - Everything! Amazing location and bed is comfortable! Pool is amazing and they opened the bar in the pool for us! Was so good 🙏 Breakfast is poor
Continental breakfast should be better
- William (8/5): Very good - The pool and the room Wifi was weak
- Hitesh (1/5): Bad - nothing this place is strictly not recommended for stay..
they have no reception area..not cleanliness... they have no sufficient staff...only one person to take all responsibility..
we were change the hotel immediately...
- Zsóka (8/5): Very good - Unfortunately we left something there and they did not help us at all, to collect it somehow. They did not answer any of our messages.
- Alina (6/5): An affordable accommodation in Nusa Penida - The pool area is nice, the staff is friendly. You can also rent a scooter from the property.
We wanted to explore the island so for us the road until property was not a big deal because guess what, all the roads on the island are the same. To sum up it’s a nice accommodation, affordable. Of course depends on what you want, this is not a luxury one. The breakfast was basic no diversity. In the morning at 4 pm the mosque is very loud, they sang for one hour.
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional Stay - Everything. It is an exceptional place. Beautiful beyond words. The location is a walking distance to a few restaurants and local stores. A bit far from the harbor, but you can rent a scooter there when you stay.
Exceptional staff are always there to help you with anything you need. There is nothing I didn't like. It was exceptional
- Jon (6/5): Great stay but property needs a bit of TLC - The huts are really lovely, as is the pool area. The property needs a bit of maintenance and better cleaning. The mosquito nets were dirty and generally it felt like a nice hotel was starting to slip a little. The concierge was also pretty disinterested and not particularly attentive
- Tammiemw22 (8/5): Great little hideaway - Room was lovely, a little dated but very comfortable.
The pool was lovely after a long day. It isn't dirty they just use alot of chlorine which makes it cloudy.
The banana pancakes were delicious at breakfast.
Yes there are geckos and noises at night but you are also in the wilderness.....embrace it. The guy at reception initially wasn't welcoming or informative but after the first day he warmed up.
There's alot of construction going on and the road to the property is very difficult.
If you don't ride scooters this is not the place for you.
- Michelle (8/5): Very nice room. - The house and the pool was exactly like the photos.
The staff are very friendly and hard working.
The view was amazing. Property next to Sunrise was building and disturbed the quiet.
The location was quite far from the popular attractions and finding a good restaurant was though.
- Lily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wangwei (7/5): Good -
- Alvarez (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (9/5): Absolutely loved staying here - comfortable and amazing views - definitely recommend! - I loved the room with the pool view and the fact that there are some lovely restaurants just around the corner
- Ruda (7/5): Good - I like that it has a beautiful view. Big parking for motorcycles. I like their room, very clean and neat to look at. There's a friendly cats too. The location for me is alright. Breakfast is free, but food choices are very limited like only 3 choices of food only. The pancakes are very tasty. Staffs will greet and smiles at you. There's a routine religious worship every late afternoon, but it is actually alright with us as we respect the culture of bali. My husband cannot sleep during our first night in the accomodation, he said that someone/something making noises outside the room that it looks like it wanted to open the door, so he stayed alert. But during our 2nd night, we slept well.
- Daniele (8/5): Very good facility for the money - Nice accommodation with good WiFi and good breakfast.
Staff is very gentle and kind The location is not far from the coast but to reach the harbour or the village u need a taxi or rent a scooter. We don’t drive scooters and taxi was quite expensive compared to the prices of the island
- Bernadette (7/5): Overall, it was okay - value for money was ok Location going to the villa was not the prettiest nor the easiest. Most of their facility needs an upgrade too. Would be nice if the serve lunch/dinner too.
- Olivia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kamila (9/5): Superb -
- Valerie (10/5): Very nice place! -
- Myles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (1/5): AWFUL!!!!! They ruined our trip - The receptionist was very friendly They almost ruined our trip. We were taking the boat at 6.30 a.m. to return to bali to catch our return flight home. We requested and PAID for a taxi to the hotel to pick us up at 4.30 a.m. to go to the port. In the morning, no one showed up, we waited more than 30 minutes and no one came to pick us up. Desperately calling all the contact numbers, no one answered and there was absolutely no one on the premises. We were left COMPLETELY LANDED WITH OUR BAGS 40 MINUTES FROM THE PORT. We had to walk along those horrible roads with the suitcases until we got to the main street and stop anyone there. We were lucky that the port gives you an appointment 1 hour in advance and we had time. At 6.20 a.m. (10 minutes before the boat left) they wrote to us saying "sorry, we made a mistake" and with that they fixed everything and WITHOUT GIVING US A REFUND, without imagining the amount of money we were going to lose if we missed our return flight. Not to mention, we were given a room in front of the swimming pool and it wasn't like that.
- Aayush (7/5): Okay okay hotel - Early morning view is great Need some repair work in room. Closet, doors and other wood furniture need repairs.
- Sharanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (7/5): Good -
- Martino (6/5): Pleasant - The vue and swimming pool.
- Mikko (9/5): Value for money - The hotel manager was absolutely amazing person! My ride to the port didnt show up, so he volunteered to drive me there himself! He also answered every question and made sure my stay was comfortable. The location wasn't the best, had to drive a really bumpy road to get there. Views are great though.
- Amarendra (7/5): Good -
- Puneet (5/5): Passable - location not good, breakfast served had no variety and was not good, no room service
- Patel (10/5): Exceptional - view was amazing, rooms were great, restrooms were clean and hygenic, all the roads were to narrow and location was too inside from main street , the stay was peacefull
- Anonymous (7/5): Room is great, bathroom is awful - The price is really good, the pool is cool There are holes between the slab and the wall, if lights are on, every mosqitoe and bug can come in. Big Cockroaches as well.. No water pressure, hot water is for maybe 2 minutes
- Alessandro (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Nadranaomi (4/5): Disappointing -
- Higgins (7/5): Good - beautiful and tucked away with an amazing view gave them my clothes to wash, came back with more stains on them and they wasn’t washed properly.
- Ritaban (6/5): it was a decent stay, good room in the jungle but the price was not adding up to the facilities provided. - 1. views were good.
2. cooperative staff
3. offbeat location 1. handwash was not provided.
2. room lights were not working
3. lunch and dinner was mentioned but not provided because of lack of staff.
- Eisha (9/5): Superb -
- Beth (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sudip (10/5): yes nice to stay - yes yes
- Anonymous (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sachdev (1/5): Bad - Nothing
The staff over there was very irresponsible. So we were booked in for two nights. On the first night itself, there were neighbours next door knocked our door as they were drunk and when we complained about the same to the person who helped us check in didnt bother to warn them and instead asked us to speak to the neighbours as they belong to our country. We really didnt feel safe. So I would strongly suggest to avoid this place for your stay. Very limited breakfast options. Free water bottles were just provided on the first day.
- Martins (10/5): Great place, would recommend! - Staff was very friendly and helpful, view from our room was magnificent and breakfast was good. Electricity went out at one point, but was restored swiftly.
- Casey (4/5): we booked elsewhere due to the bathroom lighting situation - the pool and bed was really comfortable the location, the smell and the very poor bathroom lighting
- Mary (7/5): Affordable Villa in Nusa Penida with Stunning Views - The villa itself was very beautiful with an infinity pool view and overlooking the horizon. The main staff Putu seemed like he took care of every single from cooking, cleaning etc. He was very accommodating to all of our needs especially providing a driver/transportation when we went for dinner and tour of Kelingking beach. Outside and overall Nusa is not very walkable, but overall we enjoyed our two night stay and breakfast is included! The villas are paper thin - you can always hear the people outside and villas next door. There were a lot of sounds heard (creatures making a particular noise, the broadcast prayers/singing which occurred round the clock, and just general people talking from inside their villa) - so at times it was hard to relax. The villa, in spite its design and decor is not well maintained. There are lime scales all over the bathroom and bed sheets were not the most comfortable. Would've loved the option of a restaurant in the villa as its hard to get around.
- Gayraud (9/5): a very good value for money - location poor breakfast
- Nanni (8/5): it was overall a ver good stay. loved the place. - the peace, the quiet the area was pretty remote and no food delivery in nusa do have to eat and go to hotel
- Jon (8/5): Very good -
- Lily (7/5): absolutely beautiful place with lovely staff but with being very rural comes loud noises while you try to sleep! - beautiful view from the rooms and the pool. The man on reception was so kind and helpful to us. far out from restaurants etc so you have to use the mopeds which we rented directly from the hotel. it is also VERY loud at night due to animals in the surrounding areas and also on the roof of the terraces. Some must be worse than others as we moved rooms because we were kept awake by the noise and it was much better the second night.
- Mireia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faiz (9/5): Superb - The view from the pool is just breathtaking. A great place to have a quiet and relaxing holiday. Receptionist was super helpful and friendly. Check-in was really easy. Getting to the place was quite a challenge. There's very little option to eat at night since the cafe was closed. Need to take a scooter to get to the nearest mart as delivery options are very limited to the area.
- Alexandra (7/5): Good - the staff was able to help us book a tour within our budget that was amazing and hit all the places we wanted to go! the place is cute and depending which room you get it would be a great stay our bathroom ceiling was not fully enclosed so it is open to the outside… because of this it was extremely humid and there were so many bugs in our room. we killed 4 cockroaches and there were dozens of little bugs on the floor. the staff let us use another bathroom because it was so bad and that room actually had a closed bathroom so there were no bugs. i guess it just depends on which room you get. the place definitely looks nicer in the pictures
- Natalia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jack (8/5): gorgeous pool - gorgeous setting with comfy bed and lovely staff as it’s a bit remote there’s not a lot of good places to eat nearby ! would avoid most of them 💩
- Katriona (7/5): Lovely staff, comfortable stay but a bit far away from everything - Puta and the staff were beyond helpful and made the stay very comfortable. Beds were spacious and room was nice and comfy. Aggressive monkeys may visit at the pool. Location is a bit faraway from the Harbour - only way to get around is renting a motorbike yourself or hiring a driver.
- Akshit (1/5): Bad -
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Yuka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adela (6/5): ok to stay 1 night and move on - the pool is great, clean, warm and nice view. it’s very far away from everything, so you’ll need to rent a scooter or arrange a car pick up to go anywhere. The property looks worse than pics, the room itself is kind of ok, the bathroom is very badly maintained and smells of mold. For anyone who is looking for an authentic Balinese locally run accommodation, it’s a good choice.
- Teodora (3/5): Poor - Swimming pool Dirty and full of insects and animals
- David (10/5): great hotel nice pool and nice price - la piscina con vistas al amanecer la carretera para llegar esta en mal estado
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Himanshu (7/5): Good -
- Czesnowska (10/5): Beutyfull place with amazing view. -
- Lucy (8/5): Very good - It was quiet and the pool area is lovely. Our room was cleaned daily and we loved being able to retreat from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are a little more worn than the photos and it could be difficult to get to by car and/or into town if you're not willing to walk up the hill.
- Rana (8/5): great value for the price - clean and people there are so helpful great value for the price and the view is breath taking abit of a drive to the main attractions
- Esther (8/5): Very good - it’s nice and secluded. loved our host putu. he was so helpful and very friendly!!! he was our favorite the road to get to the location was very rough. rocky roads
- Tomas (8/5): Very good - View and pool very nice. Staff. Clean rooms My Friends didnt have hot water in the bathroom.
- Francisco (6/5): Not a good value for your money - Nice view and quite location is terrible, far away on a very narrow dirt road full of pot holes.
you will need a scooter (and be a good driver) or a taci at all times.
toilet was old mouldy, rusty and smelly. the towels were old and smelly.
- Alun (8/5): Very good -
- Amelia (8/5): Good for groups - Beautiful view from the pool. Overall clean and quiet. The location is very far from shops/restaurants. You need to be able to use a scooter if you stay here. Good for groups but not solo travelers
- Jasmine (9/5): Superb -
