- Neha (10/5): One on Bollard offers the perfect blend of warmth, comfort, beauty, and location. - One on Bollard, hosted by the wonderful husband-and-wife duo Diane and Rob, was easily one of the coziest and most memorable stays we had in South Africa. From the moment we arrived, their genuine passion for hosting was evident, the warmth, care, and thought they put into making guests feel welcome is truly exceptional. Everything felt personal and heartfelt, from Rob’s exciting and thoughtfully prepared food menu to the handwritten welcome and departure letters. It genuinely felt less like a guesthouse and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. They guide you patiently through everything, activities, routes, recommendations, making your stay completely stress-free. The location itself feels straight out of a movie. Set on a beautiful island surrounded by lagoons and beaches, the area is incredibly scenic, polished, and serene. The island is home to elegant, well-maintained houses that give it a luxurious feel, yet it remains peaceful and refreshingly less touristy. The beach days we spent here were some of the best of our entire trip. Knysna as a base is also perfectly located, well connected to incredible adventure and nature spots like Tsitsikamma National Park and Plettenberg Bay so 2 nights are not enough here.

Se eu pudesse, daria nota 11 para esta hospedagem em Knysna! Diane e Rob são anfitriões maravilhosos! A casa é linda, situada em uma ilha calma, segura e muito, muito bonita! Os quartos e banheiros são amplos, muito bem decorados e extremamente confortáveis! O café da manhã é extraordinário, o melhor de todos!! - NAVIN (10/5): Absolute Perfect Vacation - the hosts were absolutely fantastic and caring and ensured that the experience was exceptional. The location on leisure island was very quiet and relaxing. The hosts were attentive to all minor details and catering to our special needs and we were treated like family and felt welcome. We got our laundry cleaned by the staff. Our hosts reserved our dinner and booked for our massage at Petuza and recommended places to visit. Our kids loved the host and their lovely dog quickly became their friend. We even had a personalised departure note which was heartwarming. Would recommend absolutely to anyone visiting Knysna. We are a bit unacustomed to sharing the common living room but got used to the friendly open settings. We had a few bathroom water leaks problem which were rectified.

Удобные, просторные, светлые номера с продуманным интерьером, обустроенные с душой и вниманием к потребностям гостей. Очень удобные кровати -спишь, как в раю, и просыпаешься под пение птиц. Прекрасно оснащенный всем необходимым просторный санузел. Завтраки - дадут фору мишленовскому ресторану. Мы испытали настоящий восторг. Наши желания предвосхищались и выполнялись мгновенно. Нам всем очень хочется вернуться!
- Tobias (10/5): Schönes Guesthouse mit liebevollen Besitzern! - Sehr schönes Guest House. Mit viel liebe zum Detail. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Man merkt das sie es gerne machen. Viele Tipps erhalten zu Ausflügen und Restaurants. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und gross. Das Frühstück ist super, viele selbst gemachte Dinge. Es gibt jeden morgen ein Special zum bestellen vom Hausherrn mit frischen Zutaten. Alles in allem ein Super Guesthouse. Wir können es sehr empfehlen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und läd zu einem entspannten Tag ein auf einer kleinen Insel.
- Christoph (10/5): Sensationell!!! - Das Frühstück war großartig und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Alle Produkte werden von den Gastgebern selber hergestellt und liebevoll zubereitet. Jeden Tag gibt es ein besonderes warmes Gericht zum Frühstück. Der Pfannkuchen mit Banane, Honig und Speck ist der Hammer! Die Gastgeber sind außergewöhnlich freundlich und zugewandt. Sie haben alle Wünsche umgehend erfüllt und immer tolle Anregungen gegeben. Jeden Abend wurde uns ein anderes tolles Lokal vorgeschlagen und ein Tisch reserviert. Klasse! Dass unser Aufenthalt so kurz war!

- Simone (10/5): Großartig und wunderbar! - Diese Unterkunft ist ein kleines Juwel: Tolle und sehr schöne Zimmer mit einer eigenen kleinen Terrasse, großem Badezimmer, gemütlichen Betten, vielen kleinen liebevollen Details und wirklich allem, was das Herz eines Reisenden verzückt. Das Frühstück war köstlich! Jeden Morgen gab es ein Frühstücksspecial: karamellisierter Apfelpfannkuchen oder Pilze mit Pesto sind nur zwei Beispiele. Neben diesen Specials gab es dann noch Müsli, Käse, Früchte, selbstgebackene Muffins und selbstgebackenes Brot, Säfte, Wurst,… Diane und ihr Mann sind unglaublich freundliche, hilfsbereite und liebevolle Gastgeber, die immer und zu jeder Uhrzeit für ihre Gäste da sind und wertvolle Tipps geben, Taxis und Ausflüge anfragen, Restaurants reservieren und einfach alles für ihr Gäste machen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt geliebt und unser 7-jähriger Sohn auch. Für ihn gab es sogar extra Sandspielzeug! Dankeschön ihr zwei, dass ihr unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht habt. Ihr seid wunderbare Gastgeber! Gerne möchten wir noch einmal zu euch kommen.
- Joan (9/5): Heel fijn guesthouse - De ligging van dit guesthouse is heel prettig. Onze kamer was groot, schoon en comfortabel. Zo ook de badkamer. De eigenaars waren uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze gaven fantastische aanbevelingen en maakten ook de reserveringen voor ons. Het ontbijt was vers, verrukkelijk en gevarieerd. Het enige wat we minder vonden was het geluid van de waterleiding. Wanneer de buren douchen is dat goed hoorbaar.

Die beiden sind unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam – wir haben auf unseren Reisen noch nie so warmherzige und tolle Menschen kennengelernt. Die Unterkunft selbst ist wunderschön und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man spürt, wie sehr sich Diane & Rob um ihre Gäste kümmern! Das Essen war fantastisch, besonders die täglichen Specials – etwas ganz Besonderes! Auch die Tipps und Empfehlungen der Gastgeber waren super hilfreich. Wirklich ein ganz besonderer Ort mit ganz besonderen Menschen :)) Josi & Dan alles war fantastisch!

The food was great, particularly the breakfast fruit compote. They are very adventurous ensuring that each breakfast option is unique and tasty. Dianne and Rob are the most caring hosts who go out of their way to ensure your comfort. On the first night we didn’t have a car. Rob opted to drive us to the restaurant for dinner and picked us up. The following morning, Dianne drove us to Plett to pick up our rental. Simply put, it was amazing. There is absolutely nothing to fault.

Tolle Zimmer mit viel Platz und Terrasse, man kann sich im sehr schön eingerichteten Haus frei bewegen. Die Gastgeber Diane und Rob sind die nettesten, besten Gastgeber, die wir je erlebt haben! Großartige Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung, die sensationell schön ist. Wir wären am liebsten eine ganze Woche geblieben, so viel gab es zu sehen und so wohl haben wir uns hier gefühlt. Rob and Diane clearly went out of their way for all their guests to make it a very personal experience for everyone. Breakfast offered a variety of wholesome and delicious options. The hosts, Rob and Diane are phenomenal and really created an atmosphere of relaxation during our vacation. I would highly recommend this family friendly hotel to anyone looking to enjoy the beautiful sights, views, sea and surroundings of Leisure Island, Knysna.

Attention to detail second to none - loved the small library. • Everything was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and all the amenities were readily available. • Enjoyed spending time on the balcony, watching the birds and taking in the sunset. LOCATION • Situated in Leisure Isle, the location was idyllic and perfect for a peaceful getaway. • The area is rich in enthralling history, adding a layer of intrigue to our stay. Advise a Featherbed Nature Reserve tour to learn more about the area and to savour stunning views. • Felt safe and secure throughout visit at all hours, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy time there. HOSTS You really would be hard pressed to find more affable and easy-going hosts. They went above and beyond in ensuring that you were comfy, relaxed and had all info you needed to have an incredible stay. Unparalleled customer service is definitely front and center of their agenda. • Diane and Rob were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrived. • Diane is a fantastic communicator, always on hand, providing reassurance and great recommendations with all the accurate links, no doubt (restaurants etc.) before, during, and after trip. Thank you for checking in and following up after we left! • Rob was most generous with his time and also offered invaluable advice on places to visit, enhancing our overall experience. Enjoyed your recommendation of the Old Nick Village. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. - Ashleigh (10/5): A 'must stay' in Knysna - It was just an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. A beautiful B&B is situated within walking distance to the beach. Well located to allow exploration of the garden route. Diane and Rob were so welcoming and accommodating. We were upgraded to the 'Sam Room'- a wonderful suite with its own sitting area and garden with its own private access. The room was large and comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The breakfast was incredible, with a wide selection of homemade deliciousness as well as a different breakfast special each morning. We had some cloudy weather during our stay. However, with Diane and Rob's assistance, we were not short of activities or the best table bookings at the local restaurants. Every little detail is taken care of, and nothing is too much to ask. Diane quickly noticed my love of tea and, without asking, stocked our room so we wouldn't run out. Their years of travelling and experience are clearly evident from their customer service (although we left feeling more like family than customers), well thought out breakfast menu and expert knowledge of the area (activities and restaurants). The B&B is situated on Leisure Isle, which has a beautiful beach and Steenkamp nature reserve- perfect for afternoon walks. If you're planning a trip to Knysna (or the Garden Route), as a couple/family/group of friends, this is definitely the place to stay.

It’s the beautifully decorated and very comfortably furnished home of Diane and Rob who are the most welcoming hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They have made every effort to ensure guests are not only comfortable in their home but in Knysna. They offered great advice on places to visit and things to do. Our room was very comfortable and large with a lovely private garden. Their home is on leisure island which is lovely area with beautiful homes and very nice beaches. - Julie (10/5): One on Bollard is like being home on Leisure Isle! - Rob and Diane are exceptional hosts. Arriving at One on Bollard is like arriving home. Rooms are spacious, very well appointed with a private garden. A few steps away from the shore of Leisure Isle for endless walks or activities. Rob and Diane had great recommendations for dinner and very helpful in arranging transport for dinner. We sadly only stayed for one night but could have easily stayed longer. Rob makes fabulous homemade goodies for breakfast. Do not skip breakfast! Loved our stay! Absolutely nothing!
- Dörthe (10/5): Exceptional - Location The location was remarkable. Situated on beautiful Leisure island. We just had a super short walk to the beach. Everything felt super safe. Accommodation The guesthouse had beautiful interior and lovely details. The owners have really thought of providing everything to have a carefree stay, e.g beach bag with towels. What was best about the stay were definitely the hosts, who made our family feel welcome from minute one. They had great tips for trips and activities and even booked tables at restaurants for us. Definitely recommend staying here!

- Michelle (10/5): Absolutely fabulous stay! - We loved our stay at One on Bollard! The house is gorgeous, the rooms are immaculate and well appointed, and the best parts are hosts Diane and Rob. They couldn't be more welcoming and helpful - they provided some wonderful suggestions for restaurants, and even offered to make reservations for us. The breakfast was gorgeous and delicious, and almost everything is homemade - even the yogurt! We could easily have spent a week here, and will be back next time we're in Knysna!

- Stephen (10/5): A perfect place to enjoy Knysna, with great hosts and amenities. - The location was perfect on the beach in seconds. The room was large and well appointed with lots of lovely stylish touches. Our hosts Diane and Rob were attentive and super in organising transport, recommending great restaurants and things to do. Breakfast was sensational with mostly home made dishes including the bread and butter! Really there was nothing to dislike.

Rob and Diane went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our stay in the area. They took the time to get to know out likes and dislikes, and made suggestions accordingly. - Sarah (10/5): The most wonderful time ❤️ - Diane and Rob were the most wonderful hosts, really helpful with ensuring we did all the best things and ate at the best places and such lovely people, nothing felt like a bother. Our room (gizmo) was really comfortable and everything we could possibly need (and more) was provided... the attention to detail is exceptional (even the hair dryer was great!). The breakfast was spectacular, virtually everything home made, with different special cooked breakfast every day (they have 32 apparently) and different flavoured fresh muffins... our little boy LOVED them! The island itself is like a hidden gem, tranquil, beautiful and safe. I couldn't recommend more highly and hope to visit again soon.

The one on bollard lodge is absolutely beautiful, peaceful.It is located in the beautiful leasure island. It is difficult to reflect how great was the experience! Everything was perfect.
