- Ruth Gildert (8/5): - It was a beautiful building which had been imaginatively converted into a hotel .The room we had (Room 16) was extremely comfortable with good facilities . Although it was up two flights of steep stairs & the building would not allow for a lift , the staff took all our( heavy) luggage up to the room on arrival without been asked & brought them back down on check out ! The staff were professional, courteous & nothing was too much trouble . Although it was May , the weather was unseasonally cold & the room took along time to warm up , despite an additional stand alone heater. The breakfast staff , whilst very pleasant were more than a little disorganised.

Car parking not large although we did manage to get a space on this occasion - bathroom not very spacious although the facilities were good quality. Leaving earrings behind, contacting hotel within 30 minutes of leaving room explaining exactly where I had left them, to be told that they were not there, I was very surprised to say the least!

All rooms.were kept to a high standard when they visited daily. All good was of a high and varied standard. Well our bathroom was a dream come true, large airy and there was both bath and wet room an unusual to find in hotels. We will be back as we had such a great hotel break. Nothing major. Perhaps explaining parking availability and pricing.

- Kathryn (9/5): A special place for a special occasion - Wonderful place to stay for a special occasion - the staff were kind, professional and friendly. The building is magnificent and our room was large and comfortable, with the added bonus of our own private patio. Breakfast was delicious and they even provided a birthday brownie for my partner without being asked, which made him feel really special. Despite being an accessible room, the bath was very inaccessible, with no grab handles. It was strange that blue badge holders still need to pay £10 for parking, given that much of Norwich offers free blue badge parking. There was a dimmer switch for the main lights, but it just caused them to strobe.

- nicola (9/5): Very enjoyable - Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a large comfortable room in the centre of Norwich and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely stay here again. I would have liked bath robes to be available and a couple of chairs to sit at the table to eat - there is plenty of room. We ordered a Indian take away to eat in the room in the evening and I ended up sitting on the floor not wanting to sit with it on my lap on the sofa or bed in case I made a mess. We were planning to have breakfast in the room but the lack of chairs to sit at the table was the reason we decided against this. The breakfast was very pleasant in the breakfast room.

The breakfast was delicious with incredible choice, local produce used, nothing too much effort for staff. My husband uses a walking aid and access was no pproblem, well thought out. The whole place is curated and historic. It felt very luxurious and the location right in town is perfect. A wonderful break. Nothing.

The room (room 2) was beautiful, the bed gloriously comfortable, the location great and the staff lovely. Breakfast is superb. I love the historic ambience. It should have been easier to contact reception when I couldn't turn up the heating.

Great location, excellent food. Gorgeous, but some areas needed a little attention. The flooring in room 16 was a bit worn and stained, similarly on the stairs leading to the room. Some of the skirtings needed cleaning or re-painting.

Parking was OK but I went to the public car park initially, just passed the front of the hotel, then checked with reception and was given clear instructions for the parking space around the back, included with the booking. Busy time of year with multiple functions meant a lot of drunken noisy guests getting taxis just below our room (no 6) for an hour from 11pm. Worse on Saturday night. Really inconsiderate. It would have been right outside ground floor room 1's window so I suggest avoiding booking room 1 and 6 during the festive period. Perhaps staff could remind people leaving that there are people trying to sleep as it's a hotel as well as a venue?
- Ruth (9/5): Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. - Everything about the Assembly House is wonderful! The welcome from the staff on Reception, the room, the food and the location are all superb. We were able to park in the car park without any difficulty and the central location meant we could walk round the city with ease. The Christmas decorations were beautiful and our stay was topped by the excellent afternoon tea. Nothing we didn’t like!

- Nicola (10/5): - Great central location and definitely the most stylish, comfortable and enjoyable hotel in Norwich. Rooms are excellent. Shame there isn’t a restaurant or evening facilities

- Andrew (9/5): Very comfortable in the very heart of Norwich. - Great shower, outstanding breakfast. Fantastic location. Room could be a little too warm. Air con took time to adjust so not sure if anything was happening.
- jeremy (10/5): Still our favourite for Christmas shopping in Norwich. - Large comfortable room. More like home from home than chain hotels. Easy parking. Excellent food. Charming, helpful staff. Christmas decorations this time of year. Time to re-do the carpeting on the stairs. No problems.

- Sarah (9/5): - Decoration, building, welcoming customer service team. Bed was so comfortable. Room was clean and fresh. Large bathroom and shower. Impressive building and great location. Hot tap in bathroom too stiff to use, english breakfast tea would be great to have in room opposed to just earl grey, room got quite cold although heater was provided. Had to have blinds drawn most of time as felt over looked. Didnt detract from the stay. Very nice hotel.
- Samantha (9/5): Can't wait to come back! - Room was stunning and exceeded pictures on website. The bath was huge, we could have swam in it and the breakfast was exceptional. All in all a gorgeous stay, good value for money Only slight inconvenience was that carpark isn't private, so we struggled to find a spot and had to park elsewhere and then move it to the hotel late evening in order to get a spot

- Deborah (10/5): A wonderful stay in wonderful surroundings - The room was fabulous. We attended a party at the hotel and the buffet, catered by your chef was fun and imaginative. Breakfast was lovely. Parking was a nightmare.

- Stephen (8/5): Great, would stay again. - Its right next door to the Theatre Royal, which was great. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast superb and great choice of freshly cooked food. The only downside is having to walk outside from the room to breakfast.

- Doris (10/5): Can’t wait to return. - Our stay was excellent. Our room was to the highest quality in every way. One of the most comfortable and beautiful rooms I ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot of rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely, gracious and helpful. The location is perfect for the theatre and all other major attractions are within walking distance. Not a single thing.

- Claire (10/5): Perfect Hotel With Fabulous Staff - The hotel was lovely with fantastic staff. The location could not be better. Excellent breakfast in the morning with decent coffee! The property was excellent but would not recommend the attic room if you have trouble walking or elderly as the stairs are steep to the property.
