- Marcel (1/5): - There were wholes punched in the bathroom door, writing all over the walls and doors, what looked like claw marks high up on the doors, needles found in the light fixtures, random people knocking on door asking if a specific person is "home."

Only good thing is the convenient location - Bed was comfortable There was burn marks on the bathtub, room smelled weird, there was a stain on the comforter and a hair on the sheets. Toilet would move & wobble anytime it was sat on, shower floor was dirty.

- Jenna (8/5): It’s one of the better motel options in the area! Great price for what you get - Lots of reviews say the bed is uncomfortable or it’s loud when you move. If you are used to staying in motels and not high end hotels, it’s literally fine. The bed is much better than any other “motel” we’ve stayed at and it was super clean. It’s super quiet even though it’s close to interstate. Would definitely stay there again - price is great for what you get. The room key would stop working like once a day. But it was a quick fix after bringing it to the office. No big deal!

- Natalie (10/5): My stay was great and I will be back - We found this room bc the rooms in BR for the weekend was outrageous bc of lsu homecoming it’s not the Hilton by no means but if u was a clean good bed to sleep in with out all the low budget drama this is ur go to place they have smoking rooms witch is great for smokers and the mattress are beauty rest if u kno u know they have no loud music no people hanging outside looking sketchy I felt very Dave with my two year old ended up staying longer bc of how great the experience was

When I was getting the bed ready to sleep in I found someone's hairs on the sheet and what looked like either dried mud or dried poop in between the top sheet and the blanket.

- Kaylie (2/5): - This place is horrible they first asked for a deposit that they never have befoee nor is it listed on any website and u might as well kiss that goodbye no matter how clean ur room is when u check out they keep it. Second the roaches in the room r the sixe of small dogs. The dad who works in the office is rude n soeaks gery little english, also dont spill a drink after 9 or try to check out at night or your sleeping jn it cause they wont help u. Worst experience of my life! All the crackheads i almost got mugged trying to get to my room just to be woke up the mext morning to a police stand off four doors down 👎👎👎

The workers wasn't so friendly. Our room had a wooden board over the window. The cleaners never came in to clean during the whole visit and most of the time when they was out going room to room we left so they could come in and clean but they never did. The beds felt like we was sleep on a rock.

- Patrick (6/5): - I would rate it OK. The bad: Outside parking was not very clean; but not terrible. There was an old wash rag behind the toilet from a previous guest; Toilet seat missing paint in spots (for a lousy $15-20 they could fix this); AC worked but only ok (it was around 80° at night); I expected to be charged for my dog but I checked everywhere in my booking and it said pet friendly—and with nowhere to say yes I have a pet, I was charged $15 for the night only upon arrival. Maybe that’s an Expedia problem but someone needs to build that into my booking prior to arrival. The good: Room wasn’t cramped at all, bed was nice, tv and water were great, didn’t hear neighbors at all (it was a work crew too). You get what you pay for but I suspect for $15 more I’d get a better hotel. That said it was ok, at least for a guy traveling on his own who wants a place to sleep.

- Amy (1/5): Worst customer service EVER and definitely the staff does not care about their customers. - The location was good. The room I reserved was given away. In my reservation, I put in for pets and when I arrived I was CHARGED more for my furbabies AND I was told my room would be prorated since I was put in a room with double beds instead of my King Suite. NOPE, I did not receive any compensation. The bathroom had a douche bottle in the shower and we were not checked on throughout our stay. I had to ask for towels; they would not give me towels until I returned the old ones. What? They did not stop by to check but I was responsible for that. Then, we needed new sheets due to an accident and NOPE. The guy said have to come back in the morning. Thank goodness I had 4 throw blanketa to make due. I will never stay here again!

- Michael (4/5): Nightmare at Highland Inn - I don’t even know where to begin! There were so many issues! I guess I will start with the room temperature being 57 degrees upon arrival. Not shocking since the heater was turned off and there were gaps between the door and door jamb that lit up the room with sunlight. When I did turn on the heater, it was stuck on 86 degrees. Therefore, I had to turn it on for a little while until it warmed up, then had to turn it off to avoid feeling like I was sleeping in a sauna. It makes for a long night. The walls had visible patch work, strips of missing paint and gauged areas. The shower dripped 24/7. Finally there were black hairs in several places, on walls, countertops, sinks…

Staff was nice place just needs some real maintenance

- Cecil (6/5): It was near my friends house. - Clean friendly. For a handicap room the bed is too tall the bathtub was too tall for handicap people and the toilet was too short but was clean and service was good.

Also, I got charge at booking.com for the room and “everything” but when we showed up they charged us because our cat. In this post never talked about pet fee even though we got charged, we asked for a receipt so we can have proof of it and they were like “we don’t give receipts for it” also they refused to get the payment in card only cash. The shower tub was stuffed with napkins maybe stopping leaking water idk. I regret to stayed there for 3 nights. Nothing is like the pictures, at least not for us. Every morning we just wanted to leave, we couldn’t get a refund because of Booking policies.

- Andrew (4/5): - Not clean at all. Looks like that had a child working the front desk while the parents slept in the back. The room was not clean at all and smelled horrible. I would not suggest. The staff looked confused when I was trying to check in.
- Duke (2/5): - So the staff did not seem all there. Then the pillows in the room are pillow cases stuff with sheets. There is no working ice machine even though Theres an ice bucket. The TV cable Does not work at all front desk will not answer the phone do not stay here the bed is a very very old box spring hard (mattresses) there's a huge hole in the bathroom door. The sink is gross there's looks the be something written in blood on the outside of dressers night stand by bed. The inside lock on door is broken.
- Angela (2/5): - When I made the reservation there was no note of property under construction. The building is dirty, the refrigerator smelled. I had issues trying to get extra towels. the bed is also on some sort of a metal box so every time the person to either side of you hit their bed you heard a loud Metal bang. the list goes on but again they are renovating so I will chalk this stay up to that being the issues. I would not recommend anyone staying here until they finish the renovations. Like anything, there is potential if the property owners upgrade the place to the standards they would feel comfortable staying at their selves.
