La colazione è stata buona nel complesso, ma non è ben chiaro il motivo per cui, pur essendo inclusa al momento della prenotazione, sono stati aggiunti degli extra fee che non erano menzionati prima. La chiarezza è totalmente mancata sia al momento della pasto che al pagamento finale. Il mio consiglio è di non pagare l'extra della colazione alla prenotazione e farla altrove.

Annalisa (10/5): Comfort room. - Service and accomodations. The valet guys surronding my vehicle to compete for my tip. Somehow, they knew I was a big tipper and four of the valet guys three black and one hispanic surronded my vehicle to assist with loading my very light luggage in my car after I checked out of the hotel. Four guys was not necessary. I was working with the hispanic guy who had serviced me with a luggage cart and took my escorted me and my luggage to the front enterence.

Ambassador813213 (10/5): Great location and staff - We stayed here for a short visit to Houston and appreciated the friendly and welcoming front desk staff. The hotel is in a very convenient location, just a short drive to Rice University and the Museum District, which made it easy to explore the area. However, the facility maintenance needs improvement. The toilet in our room couldn’t be flushed properly. Although the maintenance staff came promptly to fix it, the same issue happened again the next day. It was a bit disappointing since everything else was pleasant. Overall, great location and service, but the hotel could benefit from better upkeep of its facilities.
michaeltC3565GW (2/5): It was no fun. - We showed up at 3:00 pm to check in. It was an Ambassador stay so there should have been an upgrade - I pay $225 a year or whatever it is for Ambassador status. Our room was not ready. So here's the thing - you market yourself as a top tier hotel - to me, that means your customers should always come first. Instead, I felt like we were merely an inconvenience. We were sent up to the "club" (which we'd already paid for) to wait. It was 3:00, so nothing was out in the club. We just sat there. And sat there. And sat there. Until 5:00 pm at which time the club opened up and food came out as well as drinks. Our room still wasn't ready. We waited until 5:45 for our room, which was supposed to be ready at 3:00 pm. Here's how it should have gone: "I'm sorry, you're room is not ready. Why don't you all sit at the bar, we'll give you some drinks and some snacks for your family. As soon as your room is ready, we'll let you know." Or, "I'm sorry, your room isn't ready. We're going to put you in two rooms with two queens each, so your kids can have one room and you and your wife can have the other. It's the least we can do." Or, "Your room isn't ready, so we're going to upgrade you to a suite like we should have done in the first place." But none of that is what happened. Instead, we sat alone in an empty club for 2.75 hours. Almost three hours before our room was ready. I've been treated better at Holiday Inns and certainly better at a Marriott or Hyatt. The "upgrade:" We got the same room I paid for. I'm still not sure what the upgrade was, if anything. On our bill it showed some sort of "naturalist" package, but we paid for that. There was an $87.53 charge for "The Naturalist Dinner - Wine." To me, an upgrade is the next level of room, not a charge of $87 for some wine that you didn't ask for. I didn't feel like we got an "Ambassador upgrade." Meanwhile, we're waiting for almost three hours in the empty "club." I eventually went down to ask what was going on. The desk offered me 5000 points for my inconvenience. Here's what I think: customer service it taking care of your customers, not placating them with a minimal gesture that you read off of some corporate check list. My family was treated badly, I was embarrassed, and our weekend away was a disappointment. I know - first world problems. But I'm paying first world prices, so I think I get to expect first world service. None of that happened. At the end of the day, I think someone sent up a cheese tray to make it all ok. Gee, thanks. Look, I know you need to make a profit. But i also know you market yourselves as an upscale hotel that takes care of its customers. I didn't feel like we were at an upscale hotel and I didn't feel like we were what mattered. I felt like the Intercontinental Houston didn't really care about our experience. That's not what I want for my family.

kerstyn (8/5): Location, comfort and style. - Location, professional staff with great attitude. The restaurant: great cuisine - we loved the hummus especially. The Restaurant/Bar Area are a little cold and impersonal, less cheerful than a guest who goes to MD Anderson might find comfort in. Concierge and Maid service ware outstanding. All in all one a great stay. The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Soft bathrobes to boot. The bar area and the Restaurant feel and ambiance, perhaps due to the very high ceilings, are a bit dated and cold. Since many guests may be visiting also MD Anderson for treatment, a warmer, more soothing environ in color and especially light, may be great. The morning coffee, albeit very good, is expensive $6+. We found other comparable Hotels offeer free coffee in the morning for guests staying a full week, like we did.

Michael (4/5): - We did not have the breakfast. The one time I attempted to retrieve from the dining area I didn't manage to even catch the eye of the young woman behind the counter. We enjoyed the bar area the staff were incredible. The ribeye steak, I believe was a sirloin. Either way it was overcooked and overpriced. The room service menu was very limited.

The rooms are clean, the beds are SO comfortable, and I LOVE the shower (water pressure and temp were on spot). The front desk personnel were nice and welcoming. This particular hotel is my go-to when in Houston! We had a cheer comp at the convention center, and it was about a 15-minute drive. NRG Stadium was also not too far.

From the moment I checked in, things didn’t feel right. The room and overall service didn’t meet the standards I expected — especially based on how the hotel is advertised. There were several issues that made the stay uncomfortable. I tried to remain patient, but the lack of communication and effort to address these problems made the situation even more frustrating. When you’re paying your hard-earned money, you expect at least basic comfort, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience this time. We came for a birthday trip for my wife and had a group of 10 of us staying at the hotel. When we arrived they accommodated our requests to have rooms nearby each other, sent champagne to our room for my wife and even made dinner reservations for us for a night. Excellent job - will 100% be back!

julierV7575MA (6/5): Shuttle me timber’s - I wanna start off with the hotel itself was lovely. The room service was great. The food was wonderful. The reason I stayed there was because I was having a procedure at the hospital nearby and I was told they had a shuttle service that could get me to my postop appointments with ease. That’s where I had issues. The Shuttle service, not the shuttle drivers(they were fab) The front desk person at Check in which I had to wait almost 45 minutes to get my room gave me the wrong information about the shuttle service. The valet manager helped me my first day when I had problems, but didn’t know the actual address of the place I was going, which was a mile away. I know that’s not a big deal, but it was a very big deal to me as that was the primary reason I was staying there. I feel like more communication needs to be between the front desk, hotel staff, and in the valet shuttle staff.

My room was clean, organized, and without clutter. I had appointments at nearby. Medical Center in the location of the hotel was perfect. Just enough distance to feel a part of the city, but not so far away to make travel and commute difficult.

The reason for my 3 stars is because of the room I stayed in, the room LOOKED nice but it smelled like someone had let their cats pee all over the place. They did spray the room a couple of time and had a maintenance man pour something in the drain but that didn’t help long term. It was one of those smells that your nose got used to once you were settled into the room. I did get some air freshener to help with coming in and out the room and that made it much more bearable.

ph0ugh1 (8/5): Great hotel in great location! - Although we were there slightly over 14 hours this time, we have been many times before. It was lovely to see Bouda & then Shola at the door. They are so helpful & joyful! Such assets to the hotel... The front desk, condition of the room, etc. were wonderful as usual. The lobby was bright and bustling - great for a drink or snack. Not sure I care for the new shuttle protocol. We waited over 30 minutes twice. If it had not been so windy, we could have walked from MD Anderson in less time. Where I marked off a star is due to the room service. While delivered promptly, the order was incorrect and the employee wanted to disagree with my husband whether the topping on the pizza was mushroom or the olive we ordered. I think most adults can recognize mushroom. We had to wait for a new pizza to be delivered. No apology; no comp. The crudite (vegs) was greatly lacking in spite of the beautiful hummus. Having room service when one arrives after a full day of travel is usually much appreciated, but this time it felt very unpleasant. That said, we'll be back. The pros far outweigh the cons. Just probably no room service next time.

She is exceptional. One of the nicest and kindest people I have encountered in many years of traveling. The executive chef Ibrahim cares so much about the quality of the food. An amazing effort that deserves to be recognized and applauded.

Nomad783502 (2/5): Poorest Stay at a branded Hotel around the World - My room booking was for 5 nights with breakfast. Surprisingly they charged extra $77.94 for the breakfast? I regret to place it on record that out of 5 breakfast, we took just 3 because of sub standard quality of food served at the bar. The food served at the breakfast buffet was generally stale, reheated, burnt and or leftovers. The fruit too was not fresh, rather left over from the previous days. There was no choice of meat except Pork. The bread too was not edible; we witnessed it hard, old and stinked.

The way we were treated by everyone we dealt with, was wonderful. The hotel's vibe is impressive, soaring, yet welcoming The decor simple but very impressive. Our room was well put together and made even more comfortable by the inclusion of bathrobes and slippers. And those bath products! The view we had made my stress level drop completely! We had a delicious dinner, and he had a Perfect Martini. Both our bartender and server were highly trained professionals, yet friendly and warm. Even the shuttle driver who took me to-and-from the hospital was a caring conversationist! My new happy place.

554emins (10/5): Best stay, home away from home - I think this is my new go to hotel in Houston. Sure there are pricier hotels promising fancier stays but for the penny wise, pragmatic traveler that wants a good combination of location, amenities, good rooms, excellent service and a can do attitude —- this is the place. I have stayed here twice so far both for business in the med center and for meeting with family visiting from international destinations. Both times have been excellent stays. The king premium rooms with lounge access are a travelers dream. The lounge access gives you two solid meals a day for free with great buffet selections and excellent service. Want to dine more? The restaurant at the lobby is a great choice. I had a great meal. Are you getting to your room late and need food, room service is great. I usually detest room service food but their food at this hotel is delicious. Staff are super friendly and helpful and will been over backwards to make sure your stay is a great one. The only negatives if I had to name any to keep this review fair and balanced… the gym could use more equipment (most people won’t use this feature), the daily parking is a bit expensive but you are parking in a safe garage at the heart of the med center so maybe affordable is not in the cards. I highly recommend you forego several fancier hotels and try this one first.
Angela (10/5): - Very nice staff. We arrived late in the middle night and leave in the next day, the staff offered us late check out at 2pm. Very helpful. The hotel location is very convenient too

ggP4283MY (10/5): Comfort and service stars - This visit became an extended stay due to a family emergency. The hotel is conveniently located for medical access as well as dining and shopping. The rooms are comfortable and the service is outstanding. This has become my choice when in Houston which happens several times a year.
Sunil1060 (10/5): Home away from home. - Great location, upgraded rooms. Front desk staff is eager to assist with every small need. Great restaurant and bar. Many guests are there for MD Anderson Cancer Hospital, however you don't feel you are in a hospital hotel.
