• Jasky (3/5): Obnoxious rude host with endless rules ruined what should have been a comfortable stay. - The location is exceptional and it is the only main advantage of this accommodation really. Also nice to be provided essentials in the fridge and a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. The host (Claudio) is obnoxious. I’ve travelled around the world and is possibly the worst host we’ve experienced. Blown away by his rude manner of communication, I wish I could post the WhatsApp messages here. He made the entire experience not enjoyable (and if you read his responses to previous negative reviews from others, you’ll know why - likely even his response to this). He is blunt (told us we better be on time because they have other check ins to do?), accusatory (said that the washing machine wasn’t working because I must have pressed it too many times), has way too many rules (like take out your own trash by walking down the street to drop it off, don’t unplug this, make sure you do this and that and expects everyone to know the rules like we’re his employees). It’s not like this is a budget accomodation. His client service needs a -10 review. Aside from that: 1. Single towel for a 4 night stay 2. No lift to get into the apartment, must carry bags up two flights of stairs 3. Not suitable for children, too many dangerous steps and no separation for sound not to travel 4. Small showers without much pressure 5. Floors weren’t super clean and sticky because it’s wet 6. The outside door key barely works, you have to keep jiggling it until you get it open

• Katja (9/5): Wunderschöne Wohnung - Wir wurden herzlich von Viktoria empfangen. Sie hat uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht, und mehr ( Sauna Dusche ). Es ist mit den Steinwänden ein tolle Atmosphäre. Der Balkon ist ein tolles Extra. Die beiden Sessel am bodentiefen Fenster , toll. Außerdem war es sehr sauber und die Lage ist sehr zentral um Florenz zu Fuß zu erkunden.
• tony (10/5): Great place in Florence. - Cool place in a great location. Good hosts and everything is pretty much brand new. Located above the coolest little bar in Florence. The stairs are a little treacherous and definitely for the young. If you need room to go up and down stairs or are not nimble, this is not the place for you. The HVAC in the main area is tricky to operate and needs a long time to cool the space down. It eventually worked, but took some engineering to figure out.
• Jay (8/5): Lovely modern property, great location walking distance to Duomo - The property location is excellent. About 6-minute walk to the Duomo but far enough away from the crowds. Right around the corner are lots of restaurants and cafes. Very convenient. The property is a lovely modern renovation and includes a small rooftop deck. Great sitting area, bathroom etc. The only real drawback is that one of the rooms is on the smaller side and access is via a small, twisting staircase (you can see in the photos). Overall, really nice property and photos are accurate.

• Pat (10/5): Great location, very comfortable! - Great Hosts. Met us at the property and gave us an overview of the property. Really quiet place but right in the city. good AC in the bedrooms and very comfortable. The only negative would be the stairs to the 2nd bedroom which is a spiral staircase. Just a bit to navigate, would be a consideration if anyone in your party has any mobility limitations.

Beautiful apartment, great soundproofing so that it's quiet when you want it to be. Washer and dryer was very convenient, kitchen is beautiful. One of the best apartments we've ever stayed in. Hosts greeted us, gave us a tour, were available throughout for questions, were just generally amazing and super responsive.

For travelers to Florence, though, beware - taxi cabs are difficult to find most of the time, but good exercise I suppose. Literally only a few minutes walk to the Duomo.

• Margaret (9/5): A lovely apartment in a great location. - Lovely fittings and finishing and great location. The view from the living room is a lovely streetscape. Victoria was very accommodating and personable. No view from the main bedroom or the terrace and the second bedroom is small with access to the second bathroom via a spiral staircase which is a bit tricky at night.

Claudio met us at the apartment and gave us a thorough tour, they even had some food and prosecco for us to get us started. Perfect location There really was not any negatives about the property. The dryer did not work properly, which I saw other reviews complain about so I was prepared.

The appartment was well equpped The spiral staircase to the second bedroom was difficult to use and dangerous in the night to use the toilet on the lower floor. The screen across the entrance to the main bedroom was poor, a door or curtain would have been better. The second bedroom was too small and noisy from the bar below.

• Melanie (10/5): The perfect place to stay! - The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay in Florence! The accommodation contains endless features and was not only beautifully furnished but well equipped (it has a private terrace and also a steam shower which we all loved!). This was the perfect place to retreat to after a full day exploring the city. We could not recommend this wonderful property any higher! It was amazing from start to finish!

Location is convenient and walkable to all restaurants, shops and attractions. The new windows do a great job of blocking out loud city noises. The quietest, in-city apartment I have ever stayed at by far. We really appreciated the starter groceries supplied by the owner. Renovations are amazing. Two very nice bathrooms including a steam shower in one. The wi fi was not working while we were there but management did everything they could to try and fix it. I'm sure this is not a regular occurrence. There are a few step downs in the apartment that can be tricky. Almost sprained my ankle missing the inset stairs in the upstairs bedroom.
• Mark (10/5): Experience Florence by starting here. Perfect location - Claudio was the perfect host. He was very informative and was able to relate to every member of our group. The location is absolutely the best. ...groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, city center life, and fresh market within steps. If you want to have the best experience of Florence, start here as your base. It is clear that the owners of the property did not spare in expense. This is a first class, art forward and classy location. When we returned late to the apartment the hallways were dark and had to use our camera flashlights to open the door.....but really there is no negative here.

• Colette (8/5): Very good - We loved the apartment. Liked sitting by patio doors looking out at the street below , enjoying a glass of wine. The apartment had everything you would need including a washing machine and a dryer. We were given a bottle of prosseco on arrival , milk , bacon , water etc which was a nice touch. Skirting coming away near bed so husband stubbed his toe. WiFi wasn't great. The televisions were set at a restricted volume which was far too low especially in the bedroom. The terrace at the top of the apartment has planters above on other apartments. On the second day one of these planters had fallen above the doorway to the terrace. A metal bracket had come off and was hanging above the door. If I hadn't spotted the bracket it could have fallen on my head.. If you not steady on your feet there are a lot of steps leading up to the apartment. There's no lift so you can struggle with a suitcase.

Location within minutes of the Duomo and a small piazza underneath with great restaurants and a lovely vibe in the evenings. The apartment was very spacious and Claudio was very helpful at all times. We would definitely return.

• Rajeev (10/5): absolutely amazing! - amazing property! perfect location, just down the street (about 6 min walk) from duomo, 6 min walk from Santa Croce, 10 min walk to palazzo vex hip and uffizi. apartment is stunning - clean, spacious, great views. tucked away from tourist areas but such amazing bars/cafes around. are at antico noe’s two nights in a row and the food was exceptional. restaurant is literally 1 min walk. also ate at new bridge pizza - amazing Naples style pizza only 1 min away. fresh local farmers market in the plaza Behind the property. apartment has a sauna! and a full kitchen! and a washer dryer. Claudio and Sandy were such amazing hosts - met us at the apartment and gave us such a welcoming tour of the apartment and the also gave us great suggestions about Florence. nothing At all!
• Sam (9/5): Stylish apartment in central Florence - We stayed as a group and enjoyed the modern, comfortable and well-decorated apartment. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The location was fantastic - close to the cathedral and with a small fruit and vegetable market and other shops downstairs. The kitchen was large and we enjoyed making a home-cooked meal together. The host welcomed us with an extensive tour of the apartment and also provided a bottle of sparkling wine for us to share. We attempted to wash and dry our clothing, but the dryer was ineffective (which was an issue as it was raining while we stayed). It would have been nice to stow our luggage at the apartment after checking-out (while the cleaners visited) but unfortunately this was not possible. The kitchen was missing some small (but helpful) items such as cleaning products, tea towels or extra bin bags.
• Maryann (10/5): Stone Walls Deluxe was in a perfect location and is a very beautiful space. - This is a fantastic location and a very cool space. And even though the area is super busy and full of night life, when the doors and windows are closed, it's very quiet. We loved sitting by the big windows, sipping a glass of wine and watching the street below. If you have an issue with stairs, it's not good for you. But, if not, just know it's got stairs, but that helps to break up the bedroom spaces. Claudio was very helpful and knowledgable and ensured we knew about the amenities and the highlights of the area. The upstairs bathroom needs a little more counter space. It's a little thing, but I had to put my toiletry bags on the floor.

• Senior (10/5): Don't overlook this historic and unique apartment. - We were greeted by Sandy, who checked us in and gave us all our very thorough instructions and keys and also recommended places to eat and any excursions we needed. There was no elevator, and she kindly carried all our luggage to the room. The lack of elevator didn't detract from the apartment at all as we all benefitted from climbing a few stairs after meals. The apartment was amazing, with 14th century walls and a washer and dryer! 2 of the bedrooms were upstairs but easy to access. The espresso machine was easy to use and there were snacks available for us if we needed them. The apartment was a very short walk from great restaurants and all of Florence's major attractions. We had an unexpected perk, which was a sauna built into the downstairs shower.....I accidentally turned it on and it was a very efficient sauna! Best thing though were the colored lights that you could turn on in the shower. Sandy was available any time we needed her to answer our questions which was very reassuring. She also was available to book any cabs we needed to get to the train station. We asked about a restaurant for good Florentine steak and Sandy directed us to La Carbonata Del Porrati......the steak and meal was amazing and the owner attentive and fun! Because of the restaurants nearby, it was a bit noisy but we all enjoyed the bustle of people enjoying their meals and libations. None of us considered it a detraction as we could shut windows and lessen the noise at bedtime.

The only downside during our stay was one of the neighbours was doing building work very early in the mornings and woke us several times with loud banging.. Apart from that, all was good..

• Arnold (9/5): Superb - The apartment is beautiful. The staff who greeted us were enthusiastic and immediately responded to every question or request we made. They helped us get our transport, arranged dinner reservations etc. There is less privacy in both bedrooms than expected.
