- Sascha (10/5): Individuelle Unterkunft in Ita Thao - Eine wirklich einmalige Unterkunft. Die Besitzerin hat einen durch und durch gestalteten Ort geschaffen, jede Ecke des Hauses ist mit Liebe dekoriert. Das Zimmer war geräumig und der kleine Balkon mit Blick auf einen Ausschnitt des Sees ein nettes Extra. Man ist in wenigen Minuten am See und im Ort. Zur Seilbahn ist es ein kurzer Spaziergang am See entlang. Es dauert ein bisschen, bis das Wasser in der Dusche warm wird.

- 王 (4/5): - 接待人員親切有禮貌 老闆老闆娘年紀有點大態度很好親切 我一次訂兩間四人房，我朋友一進去的房間是沒有問題的，只是浴室的磁磚破損踩到會有空鼓感 我自己睡的這一間ㄧ進去霉味感很重很潮濕，因為我們要去附近老街逛逛，我就先開冷氣看看會不會好點，回來的時候霉味感有減輕，再來要洗澡的時候才發現沒有熱水，我朋友那間是有熱水的我趕緊讓小孩到朋友房間洗澡，而我趕緊跟老闆聯絡，聯絡上後才開熱水加熱器 這次入住的感覺讓我很不好

- Fish (4/5): "Economy Quadruple Room" is totally NOT recommended. - Great location, few minutes walk to center, ita thao port, cable car station. Free parking lot. No breakfast, and very less place/choice for breakfast nearby. Will never take "Economy Quadruple Room" again, lack of space (even I was all on my own, one person) in the room. It's located in the streetside and very noisy, sound-proofing was terrible. Window in the bathroom was moldy and difficult to open/close. The floor in the bathroom was wet when I first came in. Shower and toilet are all combined that means the bathroom floor will get all wet after shower. Very narrow entrance, one bed is stick close to the french window (the entrance). Only one chair in the room. Table lamp was out of order.
- Daniel (10/5): Sun Moon Lake Resort - Great downtown location. The hotel is full of amazing art, including lots of fantastic paintings from the owner's wife. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake. A great experience overall and all staff members were really nice and helpful (they also helped us with parking our car).

- Frances (10/5): Perfect location to explore the Sun Moon Lake - The hotel is beautiful and quirky. The owners are artists and collectors so it's stuffed with interesting object d'art. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were fine. Ours had a sit bath which was unusual but functional, there was plenty of hot water. Our rooms had a partial lake view. The rooms were well equipped with a fridge, kettle and TV. The beds were really hard and I was worried at first, but they were really comfortable. There were tables inside and in the garden - we bought takeaway breakfast and snacks and it was nice to be able to sit together as a family. It was close to all the street food and lake activities. It would have been nice to be able to buy coffee or a beer or even eat at the hotel. It's such a nice venue it felt a shame to have to go out.

- Zouk (6/5): Friendly staff - The owner is a very nice old man and will help you if you ask him about almost anything Bad isolation, you can hear anything that is being said in the neighboring rooms, the owner doesn't really speak English, so a Chinese speaker is kind of necessary.

Plenty of public areas to relax outside the room. The kitchen was closed (not sure if this was temporary or permanent) so there were no breakfast or other dining options there. The WiFi is via a local proxy, so should not be used for anything sensitive - and many secure laptop configurations will actually block its use.

- Elizabeth (8/5): Charming guesthouse. - Very cute, retro property, run by the sweetest old couple. Limited english but enough to get us checked in and to our room. The room was huge, and immaculately clean and we loved sitting on our balcony watching the sunset. Great location just a block from the port and main shopping street, but peaceful and quiet. This place is not sleek or modern, but is very charming and full of character. There wasn't a proper shower, just a handheld nozzle over the bathtub, meaning you basically had to sit in the tub to shower or risk water everywhere (or, just have a bath...).

- Matthew (10/5): - Great customer service! They are very helpful to guests, and it is a unique guesthouse with lots of wood and art. It is right around the corner from the Sun Moon village night market. There are a few resort villages around the lake, but this one is the closest to the cable car that goes to the Aboriginal Culture Park. The cable car is walking distance (and worth the ride), but you can also rent bicycles or electric bicycles very affordably near the hotel and get around easily.

- Tzu-hsin (10/5): Comfy Cozy and great Location - Very unique style compare with other properties in this area! Love the wood theme and cozy vibe! According to my German girlfriend, she hasn’t had such a good sleep for a very long time until her stay at this place. She’s super satisfied that she even asked for extending our stay for one more night! The insect net window to the balcony is a bit old for opening and closing. But this is the only minor imperfection of this place.
- Hui-ting (5/5): Very unusual stay... - well decorated garden and cool collection of furniture. Loud humming noise in the bathroom the whole night. The mosquito net on the door/window was broken at several places and we only got tape to fix it. Hair-dryer was broken and there was no person around midnight where we could ask for a substitute... The pictures showed us a nice view on the balcony of the garden, but our balcony face directly to the parking lot. There's also NO lake view as described in the room facilities on booking.com. We could hear quite clearly the people upstairs (moving furniture around) At the beginning, there was no hot water, but just slightly warmer water. We had to speak to the receptionist to adjust something in order to have hot water for shower.

The include toiletries, tea and bottles of water, which is nice I was given a room that is in other building not shown in the photos (not as nice as the one in the photos). The bathroom is in desperate need for refurbishment!
