• Sheila (7/5): Lovely Scenic Country Side Estate with Outstanding Food and Service - Wonderful remote Hotel captures the charm and culture of the Tuscany countryside. The staff were delightful and the food impeccable with lovely extras with pool, dining room, and complientary wine tasting(s). The electrical outlets are older, so ask for current charger. The roads are not paved and quite challenging with traveling to and fro the facility. It was convenient for price and outstanding scenery. roads are not good - you are in the mountains so expect winding, unpaved, rocky roads with sheep dogs chasing your car.

La Tenuta Fattoria Vecchia di Baccianello è uno di questi ✨ Immersa in un paesaggio che sembra uscito da un dipinto, questa tenuta è un piccolo angolo di paradiso dove il tempo rallenta e ogni dettaglio racconta autenticità. I vigneti si estendono a perdita d’occhio, accarezzati dalla luce dorata del tramonto, mentre l’atmosfera è quella calda e genuina tipica della campagna italiana più vera. L’accoglienza è semplicemente impeccabile: si percepisce subito la passione e l’amore per la terra, per il vino e per l’ospitalità. • Ralf (10/5): Unsere Erwartungen wurden deutlich übertroffen und ein Wiedersehen wird es sicher geben - Das war einfach nur Perfekt. Das Tenuta Fattoria Vecchia hat unsere Erwartungen nochmal übertroffen. Die Deluxe Junior Suite war für uns einfach perfekt. Die große Terrasse mit perfekter Ausrichtung zum Sonnenuntergang war einfach nur beeindruckend. Das Dinner war ebenso sehr gut. Die Speisekarte ist zwar recht übersichtlich, aber für uns war das absolut ausreichend. Zusätzlich ist es mir ein Anliegen, die Mitarbeiterin Zenovia extra zu erwähnen: Sie hat uns sehr tolle und hilfreiche Tips zu Reisezielen im Umland gegeben, welche wir dann auch alle besucht haben. Das war absolut außergewöhnlich und für uns sehr hilfreich. Dank ihr haben wir eine bleibende Erinnerung an diesen Kurztrip. Herzlichen Dank Zenovia ! Was wir nicht so gut fanden, war zum einen das Brot. Klar ... wir sind mit der deutschen Vielfalt an Brot sicherlich verwöhnt. Aber auch in Italien könnte man vielleicht 2-3 Sorten zur Verfügung stellen. Außerdem ist die Zufahrt ein Abenteuer für sich. Denkt man auf den ersten Metern noch, dass das schon ziemlich eng ist, so ist die Schotterstrasse auf den letzten ca. 500 Metern schon eine Herausforderung für das Fahrzeug. Mit einem tiefergelegten Fahrzeug möchte ich da nicht anreisen.
• Matthias (10/5): - Eine Oase der Ruhe. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Das Frühstück wird jeden Morgen vom freundlichen und engagierten Personal serviert, es gibt frischen gepressten Orangensaft. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist überschaubar, aber lecker! Auf Wunsch gibt es ein leichtes Mittagessen, das man am Morgen bestellen muss. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Abendessen, es gibt reichlich Auswahl, die Portionen sind ein wahrer Genuss und groß genug, um satt zu werden! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

• Martina (9/5): Sehr erholsam. Gut zum Abschalten. Toller Pool und Blick in die Ferne. - Sehr freundlicher Empfang und Service, insbesondere durch die herzliche und sehr zuvorkommende Zenovia. Sie gibt der Tenuta die entscheidende positive Herzlichkeit, so dass wir uns willkommen fühlten. Toller Blick in die Weite mit schönen Sonnenuntergängen. Gutes Frühstück. Gute Atmosphäre auf der tollen Terrasse und im Restaurant. Sehr reichliche Portionen. Ein fantastischer Pool. Das morgendliche Ausfüllen des Frühstück Zettels ist etwas umständlich. Wir hatten leider Regen und dann kann man nicht mehr viel machen, außer zu lesen, da die Anlage auf dem Hügel im Abseits liegt.

Special mention for the staff, they were so lovely and made our stay even more appreciable. The view from the pool area is stunning (and from our room's balcony). We enjoyed two dinners in the restaurant, it was great. The bathroom felt a bit old, but we suppose it's also part of the authenticity of the place. It was sparkling clean nonetheless.

Die Tenuta Fattoria Vecchia überzeugt mit herrlicher Lage, einem atemberaubenden Blick in die Natur und einer warmen, familiären Atmosphäre. Die Zimmer sind charmant eingerichtet, das Essen ist sehr gut, und das Team ist unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit. Ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen und Genießen – wir kommen gerne wieder!
• Dr. Karsten (3/5): Theoretisch Potential - signifikante Defizite - Schöne Lage, toller Blick. Für italienische Verhältnisse sehr gutes Frühstück. Personal überwiegend freundlich und engagiert, allerdings sollte man nicht widersprechen und keine eigenen Wünsche äußern (meine Frau wollte auf der Terrasse zu Abend essen), sonst wird man einige Tage ignoriert! Wenn zeitgleich viele Frühstücksgäste erscheinen, leicht überfordert. Suite gebucht. Eine von zweien. Lokalisiert im Erdgeschoss. Beim Betreten Schimmelgeruch. Auch Schimmel in der Dusche. Zwei Klimageräte aus dem Baumarkt, Höllenlärm, nachts um 1 Uhr 31 Grad im Raum bei 95% relativer Feuchte - kurz: unerträglich! Die Bettwäsche war immer klamm. Schrankraum so begrenzt, dass wir die ganze Zeit überwiegend aus dem Koffer gelebt haben, der gebuchten „Suite“ sicher unwürdig. Pool gut gelegen. Leider Pooldusche während der gesamten Zeit defekt - immerhin nach 10 Tagen ein Schild in 4 Sprachen aufgehängt, das über den Sachtatbestand informierte. Fazit: bei Temperaturen von knapp 40 Grad gingen alle Gäste schwitzend und völlig ungeduscht ins Wasser - hygienisch äußerst bedenklich, zudem die Poolpflege mit überschaubarem Engagement durchgeführt wurde. Kein Tresor, keine Minibar im Zimmer. 22 Uhr endet jeder Service. Sehr überschaubare Speisekarte mittags und am Abend. Letzte 700 m der Zuwegung unbefestigte Schotterpiste, für Sportwagen (eigentlich) nicht geeignet. Offensichtlich von Hotelkette übernommen, sicher muss man Startschwierigkeiten zugestehen. Nach Kontakt mit der zuständigen Managerin und sachlicher Äußerung berechtigter Kritik Beschimpfungen, Beleidigungen und Drohungen - keine Entschuldigung (wohl von den Mitarbeitern vor Ort - sogar schriftlich per Mail) - das ist völlig inakzeptabel!!

Sehr gutes Frühstück und Abendessen à la Carte. Nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Tolles Ambiente und schöne Sonnenuntergänge. Abgelegen in einer sehr spärlich besiedelten Gegend der Toskana. Die Anfahrt über eine enge Schotterstraße gestaltet sich etwas schwierig bei Gegenverkehr.

Breakfast is basic (bread, omelette not tasty at all) and not matching with dinner experience. Probably chef comes only for dinner.. so breakfast quality is the only thing which might be improved here.

• Michael (8/5): Beautiful property set in the Tuscan hills - The property is beautiful, the location has some amazing views and it’s good value for money compared to the rest of rural Tuscany The room we were first given was not the room that was advertised, the property contacted us to tell us we were going to be in a different room but when we got there we were put in another room (Pisa). The mattress in Pisa was really bad and should be replaced. We were moved into another room (the one that was initially shared) and the bed was much better. The property doesn’t yet have air conditioning, something that the staff told us would be put in next year. It was 30 degrees when we were there and it was bearable, but I can’t imagine the rooms being pleasant in the high 30’s. The property is also quite remote, which is not a bad thing, but there were no fridges in the rooms. This coupled with the fact the bar/restaurant closes early means you can get a drink after 10pm. Having a fridge would have been so useful and would not be hard to add. The staff were lovely, but often very busy. If you want a drink by the pool you have to walk back up to the bar area, ask the staff, who multiple times said they were too busy and could I come back. You then wait by the bar area for them to make the drink, this experience would have been nicer if you could ask for a drink and they make it and bring it down when they have time, even if they’re busy this means I don’t have to wait around for the staff. A couple of times they had run out of Aperol/Campari/Lemoncello. It shouldn’t be hard to have stock of 6 bottles of each at all times so you don’t run out? We didn’t eat at the restaurant as we felt the prices were too high for the quality of breakfast we got, there are plenty of nice restaurants within a 10-20 minute drive that have good food at half the price. Overall the stay was pleasant, if there was a good mattress in Pisa, or we got the room we were initially told, and there was air conditioning and a fridge this place would be a 9 for sure
• Hannah (9/5): Would be back!!! - Beautiful, stunning views, staff was amazing. Our room was stunning with a little balcony over looking Tuscany. We had a crazy storm at night but it was so peaceful and one of the best sleeps I've ever had. For the money, what you get is fantastic. Pool was amazing, and we went to a local restaurant down the hill (3 mins drive) which was hand made pasta and oh my god I think it was the best pasta I've ever had!! A few things to note: restaurant isn't open sometimes which is a shame, breakfast could be improved (the bruschetta was rock hard and inedible) but th rest was good. Baths in rooms are for visual purposes only, and cannot function as baths apparently...which is a shame..

The staff here is the most wonderful group of people who cannot do enough for you and consistently happy each time you walk into a room. That I had to leave !
• Robert (9/5): Amazing staff, setting, views, good facilities, the perfect base for your Tuscany adventure. - The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, and available. The location of the property is stunning, situated atop a hill just outside of the village of Baccinello, you're offered panoramic views of the gorgeous Tuscan countryside over to Grosetto in the west. The sunset has to be seen to be believed! Our room was lovely, spacious, cool (very thick walls) and well appointed. The other facilities were great, a large terrace for communal dining, a small but perfectly usable pool (with the same views out west), and nice quiet spots dotted around for a drink or simply relaxing. The restaurant is a little limited in choice for lunch & dinner, and quite expensive for what you get. The food was sometimes amazing - the wild board ragu, and the lasagne were immense - but other times it felt a little basic. That said, we were restricted by not having a car so dined there every night. If you're able to head out then this will be less of an issue. Pizza Party was a highlight, not the most authentic pizza but good fun, super tasty and a real treat.

The whole building and especially our room (San Gimignano), pool area and just the whole place is a real gem in the middle of tuscan landscape. There is a nice view all over olive tree fields and you have no other building in sight. Especially the staff was extraordinary friendly and the service during breakfast was really outstanding. We really like the concept of the breakfast, with choosing between different classic breakfast options. Thanks for the nice stay!

• Amber (9/5): Incredibly authentic Tuscan getaway - We loved this property. Spectacular views and intimate setting perfect for a romantic getaway. Owner and staff were so friendly and accomodating. Dinner every evening was so wonderful and we ate every course. Staff even went out of their way to serve us drinks and aperativs in the afternoon before dinner. The rooms were so beautifully renovated with vintage charm. We truly felt we had an authentic experience in Tuscany. Unfortunately, due to the rainy weather in the days before we arrived, the property was unable to open the pool. This wasn't a dealbreaker for us but definitely a disappointment. We would have liked to relax on the property for at least a day by the pool. We weren't warned that the pool was closed but we noticed a small reciprocation on our bill at checkout at least. Not a negative aspect for us - but those who are not confident drivers should be warned that it is a tricky route up to the property by car, especially for a slightly larger car and for any trips to the surrounding towns will require some driving.

Hier haben wir immer sehr gute Empfehlungen bekommen! Auch an den Tagen an denen das Restaurant abends geschlossen war sind hilfreiche Tipps für umliegende Restaurants gegeben worden! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
• Kristyna (10/5): Just book it! - This place can’t be described or captured in a photo, it must be experienced personally. We loved the view over the surrounding landscape, the atmosphere especially during mornings and evenings as well as hospitality of the staff. We also appreciated that it was an owner himself who cooked for us. A breakfast menu was the same every day but still rich and tasteful. A dinner menu was simple but delicious. Nothing was a problem. We were absolutely satisfied, but if we could provide some feedback for even better experience (so it is the top of the top), it would be these minor improvements: -a minibar / a small fridge in a room would come into handy, espec. during heatwaves (eventhough it was not a problem to leave some food in a kitchen, it was not as comfortable as having it in your room) - more vegetables for breakfast (but we know we eat it a lot, so we simply brought our own and the “problem” was solved).

The rooms were comfortable and clean and the place was beautiful. We loved the poolside area! The food we had at breakfast and dinner was delicious and really high quality. I could look at that view all day The road up was a little bumpy but I can't blame the hotel for that!

My husband and I decided on Florence and rural Tuscany for our honeymoon and Tenuta FV did not disappoint. From the point of booking, I received a lovely email confirmation, telling me how much they looked forward to our visit. It all added to the excitement of the forthcoming trip. Just prior to the trip, I received text messages with useful information on the area and interesting places to visit and again, the personal touch of saying how much they looked forward to welcoming us. We left Florence and drove the two hours to Maremma. The setting, up a narrow, winding road/track is spectacular. With 360 degree views, the surrounding countryside is beautiful & the tranquility awe inspiring. The 17th century farmhouse/country house is immaculate and perfectly kept. We were greeted warmly by Luchia? by name and congratulated on our wedding. We were then told that despite arriving 3 hours prior to check in, our room was ready! We were shown to the Superior Galileo room, with a beautiful triple aspect view. (Quite possibly the best room in the place as it was our honeymoon). The metal framed bed sat in front of a lovely wooden balcony with view over the pool and gardens. It’s difficult to describe fully the personal touches but to be greeted with a vase of freshly cut flowers for our honeymoon is beyond our expectations. How wonderful. Tuscany was in the grip of a heatwave upon our arrival, reaching 40+ degrees. There is no air conditioning at the property, but each room has thick wooden shutters and a large fan. After a few days, the temperature became more manageable. The location has its own micro climate with some lovely, refreshing winds. Breakfast is a very relaxing affair, with a large selection of high quality foods to choose from. My personal favourite was the bruschetta with Tenuta olive oil! Again, the service was on point & personal. nothing

• willi (10/5): - Wir hatten wunderschöne 9 Tage in der Tenuta Faktoria Vecchia, so wie wir uns einen Urlaub in der Toscana erträumt hatten. Ein sehr altes Haus mit einem fantastischen Blick in die Toscana. Die Gastgeber waren äusserst zuvorkommend und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Anfahrt über eine Schotterstrasse war etwas gewöhnunsbedürftig. Das Haus ist empfehlenswert.
