• Monica (1/5): My day was horrible because I was not able to sleep at night and I am requesting 100% refund - I only like the fact that they recommended I take the bus to the airport. I didn’t like that my door did not have a safety lock or chain that worked. I did not like the noise level as it kept me up all night person next to me kept on having a loud phone call conversation and the person opposite me had the TV set blasted for this reason I’m requesting 100% refund.

• Ziggy (7/5): Convenient and simple hostel stay in an interesting part of Hong Kong - Good location and directions. Fair price for Hong Kong. Very small dormitory room and bathroom, but expected.
• Jay (10/5): Great stay - convenient, clean, simple. - The room was clean and spacious. We were 3 pax and happy to have had an individual bed each. The location was great. We were a short walk from many food, shopping, and transport options. The staff was also very accommodating with our late check in (1am) and early check out (6.30am) - thank you! I’d recommend this place.

• Anna (5/5): Uncomfortable - Well located, less than 5 mins walk from the tube station. Access to a water machine, fridge, freezer and microwave was a bonus. Horrible, uncomfortable beds. The mattresses are not sprung. They are rock solid cushions. We couldn’t wait to leave this place and get a better night’s sleep elsewhere. Tiny room. Drain in bathroom smelt and made the room stink. Very thin windows so outside noise were disturbing. This place could be so much better with a few upgrades.

• Paul (8/5): Świetne miejsce - Bardzo czysto. Personel codziennie wyrzucał śmieci. Darmowa woda z automatu bez ograniczeń. Możliwość zostawienia bagaży po wymeldowaniu. W ogóle panie z personelu przemiłe i pomocne. Fantastyczna lokalizacja: max. 2 min. do metra i autobusów na lotnisko czy w inne części wyspy. W najbliższej okolicy pełno restauracji, kantor 50m, sklepy spożywcze. Serdecznie polecam. W nocy dość głośno, ale jeśli masz stopery to nie problem.
• Lilly (8/5): Good place, would come again - At first we were a bit confused that our room was in another building, a bit further away from the “main branch”, but the room was huge and the location was still very nice (close to public transportation). The owner was very lovely and they even borrowed us some umbrellas and helped us with the luggage to walk to the other building. One of the pillow sheets seemed to be not really clean and the shower curtain was made out of fabric and was kind of smelly. Also the toilet-seat was kind of broken, but not too bad.

• Carlos (7/5): - Is well located and it’s cheap, it’s clean Hot water was not working very well, water was warm and turned into cold eventually. The lady at the check in frack the first day was very helpful and polite. At the check out the last day, I needed to leave my luggage in a locker and she was not very happy about it. I left and I had to come back because I forgot something and she was rude with me, swearing in Chinese.

• ZIXUAN (10/5): - 来香港见朋友，玩了三天。旅馆在铜锣湾特别好的位置，离地铁各种巴士站都距离很近，出行便利，周边好吃的超多。老板叔叔人很超级无敌热情，帮我换了大房间，住得很舒服！有牙杯吹风机拖鞋排插衣架，热水和空调冷气都很好，公共区域有冰箱与微波炉，好有人文关怀的小房间！一切干净，设置合理。房东叔叔热心照顾，介绍景区，还聊聊人生。再来香港还会来这里！推荐大家！ 都好

• Abigail (3/5): Apartment block accommodation. - The host was very friendly and supportive in providing a refund when we arrived and could not stay at the property due to safety concerns of the building. This is a room on the 5th floor of an old apartment block building (repairs currently in progress). With the recent apartment block fire in Hong Kong, we did not feel safe staying here, especially as we did not realise from the listing and reviews that this is what we had booked. Luckily the host was very nice and accommodating in our request to cancel with a refund as we booked accommodation elsewhere.

• Manon (6/5): Oké verblijf maar receptie moeilijk te bereiken. - De receptie was niet makkelijk te bereiken. We moesten elke keer wachten voor de deur en iemand bellen via whatsapp om open te komen doen. Het personeel was wel erg vriendelijk eens ze er waren. We mochten onze bagage achter laten op de dag van onze check out tot we onze vlucht terug moesten nemen. Fijn dat we onze water flessen mochten hervullen. Er hangt een sterke onaangename geur in de gang. Dat is niet het geval in de kamer alle geluk.
• Marco (6/5): - De kamer was betaalbaar voor Hong Kong, en met een gordijntje en een prima bed was het qua accommodatie die je kunt vinden in Hong Kong prima. Ook waren er 2 badkamers, een koelkast en een magnetron, wat erg handig was voor een budgetreiziger. Dit komt helaas door Hong Kong's slechte woonsituatie, maar veel mensen gebruikten dit hostel als accommodatie omdat ze geen woning hebben. Dat was prima en ze waren aardig, maar dat betekent ook dat ze de kamer meer als huis gebruiken; ik moest me zeker aan hun schema aanpassen om voldoende slaap te krijgen, en sterk ruikend eten in de kamer was vrij standaard. Ook zat er een licht in mijn bed, maar dit licht was verdeeld voor mij en het bed naast me. Wanneer de persoon naast me het licht aan deed, werd mijn bed verlicht. Bonus: dit is zeer uniek aan mijn verblijf, maar hostelregels zijn niet zo duidelijk in China/Hong Kong en dat was ook hier te merken. Echter heb ik door de jetlag een nacht niet kunnen slapen, waarna ik helaas heb moeten luisteren naar hoe mijn buurman aan het masturberen was. Tja, daar kan het hostel niet zoveel aan doen, maar dat is het risico bij budgethostels in China.
• Holly (8/5): - Good location 2 mins from Causeway Bay MTR. Very clean room apart from thick dirt on windows. Helpful luggage storage. Free water machine in reception. £65 per night and not even a towel included seems excessive, though towels are available for rent. At least there is toilet paper and soap. Some rooms overlook a really busy main road but horns are not used so it was Ok. The side street is quiet. hong kong is famously expensive - budget accordingly! By the way, late December 2025 - bamboo scaffolding around the building but no green netting. Hotel is only on the 3rd floor so easy to get out if needed. We felt safe.

It was nasty ( things from nose was on the wall in bedroom and bathroom), everywhere was moldy, we didn’t get even towels. Everything including floors, walls, beds was horrible. It was not minimum standards of hygiene. And also was very cold inside.

• Jenny (9/5): Great value for location but not a social hostel - - Excellent location in Causeway Bay - easy to reach from airport with A11 direct bus (1 hour ride). - Close to everything (shops, restaurants, metro, tram, ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui) - Staff is kind and can speak English - Bed was clean, private (with dark curtain) with individual light and lots of electric plugs (adapter included) - Hot water and good shower pressure (complimentary soap and shampoo) but towel for rent. - Convenient eletronic key card - Small locker for backpack (bring your own padlock) but only a few. - 1 cold water bottle offered at check-in and free drinkable water dispenser. - Good and strong free wifi - Fridge, kettle, microwave available in the dorm - 2 lifts in the building, reception in on 3rd floor and my dorm room was on 2nd floor (third lift does not stop at lower floors) - Common areas are very small and not designed for socializing. - Not enough lockers for everyone - As the common areas are very small, some people eat in their beds..

• Tereza (9/5): - As a group of students travelling to Hong Kong for a few days, we had a hard time finding nice but affordable accommodation. When we arrived at Timehouse Hostel, having heard of our friends' poor experiences with other local hostels, we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was simple but clean and spacious, with a very nice bathroom and all equipment we could possibly need. The location was amazing, next to a metro station on Hong Kong Island and with a direct bus route to the airport. The staff were kind and helpful, and the stay overall exceeded out expectation in the best possible sense. Great value for the price, especially in the area! If you like to sleep with an open window, note there's a lot of noise from the street outside at night, although that probably applies to the entire area. Nothing that earplugs couldn't fix.
• Su Hlaing (6/5): Great location. - It is conveniently located in causeway bay and have a bus stop to airport just one minute walk. The bed is comfortable and the shower room is decent size. The space is tiny but it is expected with the price you pay for the location.
