- Lauren (6/5): Clean and cosy. Did the job for what I needed but do not feel it was worth the money spent. - The property was on the main road and very close to where I was visiting.
The staff, when they were around, were lovely. Upon arrival I felt like it was a bit of a ghost town but in the evening when the restaurant was open. Everyone was lovely. The room was cosy. Unfortunately the money that was spent for two nights was in my opinion wayy too much. The room was clean but there were hairs in the bathroom. My room was DIRECTLY above the Indian restaurant kitchen and I could hear the chefs shouting and talking all evening on Saturday night as well as the doo slamming back and forth.
The rooms amenities are vintage in closing th trouser press and hairdryer. I feel these could do with an update. Coffee was decaff only and had one sachet. However the housekeeping lady assisted me with this the next day. Still decaff but stocked me up! Thankyou!
- Maria (10/5): -
- Sarah (5/5): - It was close to P Louise which was the purpose of the stay.
They allowed an early check in.. The cleanliness of the room. Sweets and tobacco in the top drawer and chocolate in the cupboard. It was really hot, the valve was broken on the radiator so could not turn it down. Opened the window, but so loud with traffic.
- Kyle (1/5): Cancelled my room the night before Manchester Marathon without proper explanation - They cancelled my room the night before the Manchester Marathon with little to no proper explanation. I was told my room was “shut for maintenance”, as if it was a toilet cubicle rather than accommodation.
This left me completely stranded at the worst possible time, with hotel prices massively inflated due to the marathon weekend. It’s hard not to feel like the booking was cancelled so the room could be resold at a higher rate once demand increased.
I only managed to find a room that was cheap enough that evening once I was in Manchester, so had the stress of travelling up there without a place to stay booked.
- Joanne (8/5): Will stay again - The little
Touches like the welcome bag
- valeska (7/5): -
- Nicola (5/5): - friendly staff not clean
- Paul (7/5): -
- v (6/5): - We were early and they accommodated us.
The heating in the room wouldn't turn off, but we were moved to a more comfortable room. All problems were rectified
- Dmitry (10/5): -
- John (4/5): - Good food good staff My room wasn’t ready no tea or biscuits
Bed uncomfortable
My last stay was great a pity about this one
- Reece (9/5): -
- Tracy (1/5): - Nothing Everything not as adverised no breakfast or normal restaurant no helpful staff was a curry shop with rooms above absolute disgrace i requested a refund but no luck
- Donna (8/5): -
- Lennox (9/5): Comfortable room, good location. - Reception staff was very welcoming and helpful Such a pity breakfast is not available
- Sarah (6/5): Good location. Unable to turn heating off. - Location to the airport and free parking. Could not turn the radiator off so the room was red hot. Had to have the windows open which was noisy. Was up early for the airport so not happy with the noise.
- Will (7/5): -
- Guddu (10/5): -
- Michael (6/5): Poor night sleep due to aircraft noise - Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, excellent on site restaurant bring your own booze. Under the flight path very poor nights sleep
- Andy (8/5): - It was a nice talking distance to the centre. Not serving alcohol was a small let down for me. 9
- Karen (10/5): - What a fabulous hotel. A warm welcome. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed super comfy and the 'goody' bag for your stay was a lovely touch. The restaurant downstairs looked very inviting too. Nothing. It was a lovely stay.
- Robert JH (6/5): Adequate - Local for visiting family in Stockport; not too expensive; Has an amply sized carpark; Morrison's store 10min walk away with cafe offering good, cheap breakfasts. We saw the in house Indian restaurant was full in the evening and the diners seemed to be enjoying their meals. Adequate sized room for two people, bed comfortable, good shower, TV had iPlayer etc. No housekeeping to freshen the room during our stay; only one cup provided (with two saucers) and no hand wash soap - we used the little bottles of shower gel and shampoo to wash our hands. Reception not manned after closing time or in the morning before we went out at 9.30am; ensuite bathroom shelf above sink was a bit grubby; just one chair provided in the room.
- Gavin (7/5): - It was quite and clean. Needs some TLC, considering there was a restaurant was disappointed they didnt do breakfast.
- Shannon (4/5): -
- Hussain (9/5): -
- David (7/5): Clean room, friendly staff, good location - Whilst a little dated it was clean, welcoming and room was well kept Our room was on the ground floor and roadside so was quite noisy, if we had the window open you could hear those using the restaurant attached very loud as it was next to the exit.
- Nick (4/5): Poor - Distance to designation Had to ask for toilet roll
- Sue (7/5): - Has Indian restaurant didn’t realise so noisy
- Jill (7/5): -
- Joseph (8/5): -
- Ivana (7/5): Its ok - Comfortable bed Heating which i couldn't turn on, needed to open windows but it was loud outside because of the restaurant below hotel
- british (9/5): - Very friendly courteous staff...also very helpful. The hotel is clean with a good atmosphere....and the the location iz excellent....I would recommend 👌 I would prefer cheaper pricing maybe....but overall a lovely place to stay!
- Leanne (8/5): Good - Location No heating as had a young child
- shannon (2/5): Very disappointing stay, with unacceptable cleanliness issues throughout the room. - The location The cleanliness was very poor and below acceptable standards. The teapot contained visible mould, making it unusable. There were stains on the bedding, and the bed sheets appeared marked and not properly cleaned. Overall, the hygiene of the room was unacceptable and made the stay very uncomfortable.
- mark (10/5): Highly recommended - Great location, easy parking. Value for money had a nice meal in resteraunt N/a
- Mikaela (5/5): Ok, but restaurant was good. - It was a good location for the football ground, but quite strange having an Indian restaurant attached. It was ok, but needs to have a breakfast.
- Jonathan (10/5): - I thought i booked 2 nights but didnt. They took the stuff out my room and assisted me with booking another night.
- karen (9/5): Excellent, great value, would stay again and try restaurant too. - Staff were very professional, and our room had everything we could need. Very clean, large bathroom , great shower. Adjoining restaurant, we didn't try, but was very busy. It is on the flight path of Manchester , the noise didn't bother me, but if a light sleeper you may want to bring ear plugs.
- Beverley (8/5): -
- Jason (8/5): -
- Kristy (10/5): Will be back. X - Everyone was so unbelievably friendly.
We put a special request in for a take away meal from the Savanna restaurant and the guys went out of their way and delivered it to our room.
- lianne87 (8/5): - Friendly staff. Clean hotel, comfy beds It was very loud with music from the restaurant bar, we wouldnt of minded as adults vut had child with us
- Graham (9/5): -
- Gail (10/5): - We stayed 1 night as we were in the area . We were very impressed with our stay there 👏 All the staff were very pleasant and helpful . The room was very clean and a comfortable bed .The Bedding was clean and fresh .The room was warm, especially when the weather outside was awful. The Indian restaurant downstairs was a bonus 👌 very busy but found a lovely table for us. The food was excellent, plenty of it and cooked perfectly. It was so nice. I would definitely recommend staying and eating there. Thank you. The location was a short drive from the railway station . Northing
- Bartlomiej (8/5): -
- Lennox (5/5): - The room was comfortable On the last day the heat was turned off and there was no hot water after 11 whilst the maintenance men worked on the system. There was no prior notice given.
- Mohammed Khalid (10/5): -
- david (5/5): Adequate stay. - Location for us was perfect and free parking. Staff was very helpful Room was just very outdated and beds was just a double would have been better as a king size. Lots of noise from airplanes as had to have window open all night as it was hottest place on earth even when I turned radiator off.
- Tracy (3/5): A complete Shambles - Shower did not work, had to wash with cold water using the sink, also no hot water. No Staff in the hotel, no breakfast. Check out time no staff to be seen had to leave key on side and exit through side door as main door was locked. The hotel is a complete shambles
- Ian (10/5): Marvellous - This is the best hotel i have stayed in for yeats. Would highly recommend. Afeez and all the staff couldn't do enough for me. I will definitely go back
- Kirsty (6/5): It was ok - Close to where we needed to be The pillows. You got one. No good to me. There was some very old tatty ones in the wardrobe. Not good and the bathroom stuck of cat wee. I know it wasn’t that but that was the smell we had to keep the door open so the smell went.
- Donna (5/5): Donna - Staff were friendly & location Squeaky bed, stains on mattress cover and hairs crumbs in draws. Rm 6 stayed before & had rm 8 a few times which was alway lovely & clean with better tv options. So not to sure what happed this time.
- british (8/5): -
- Sam (9/5): - Easily accessible, very clean room N/a
- Samantha (2/5): Over priced for what is it. - The noise was horrendous. I got zero sleep. They need to sound proof the rooms. Could hear music from the restaurant in the room. We did get moved to a quieter room, but the sound from outside was horrendous. I was up all night. It’s close to an airport so all you can hear is aeroplanes taking off constantly. They need better sound proofing to dull this. Place smelled like onions because of the restaurant below. Was not the cleanest of places
- Watfa (8/5): -
- Mohammed (1/5): -
- Sturgess (10/5): Lovely staff great food clean room spacious - Everything perfect Chicken tikka took too long lol
- Mark (9/5): This place is ideal for what I wanted it for, just an overnight stay. - The hotel is situation right off a main arterial route, so finding it was a doddle. The car parking facilities were brilliant. Entering the hotel, I was greeted by two lovely members of staff. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. Not just pointing at stuff, but came out from the desk to show me where to go and explain check out procedure. Being on a main road, there is some road noise, but the room was really cosy and I did sleep.
- John (8/5): -
- Phoebe (6/5): - Nice staff and good location with plenty of parking The noise didn’t stop. Constant noise
- Rob (8/5): -
- Lauren (7/5): -
- Suzanne (3/5): - I liked the food but very pricey. Music town loud downstairs that staff was playing as cleaning and rooms not very clean full of dust around lights plus the iron didn’t work at all
- Peter (8/5): - The hotle rooms are very clean and the restaurant food is really good only thing wrong with the stay was room was way to hot and that was with turning heating off but would recommend if you dont mind room very hot
- Frank (8/5): Ein vernünftiges Hotel für ein Wochenende in England. - Saubere Zimmer
Personal war sehr freundlich Der Wasserdruck war sehr schwach in der Dusche.
- Julie (8/5): - Dressing space with wardrobe Lights were very bright
- Alexandra (7/5): -
- Mohammed (10/5): -
- Louise (7/5): - The staff was very friendly on arrival I felt conformable. The room was clean had a tv we ordered room.service the food was really good too Nothing would stay here again
- Derek (3/5): - Room smelt really badly of stale cigarette smoke
- Kelsey (3/5): I wouldn’t be back! - The room was a good size. Had to ask for bedding to be changed as hairs all over bed, bathroom wasn’t very clean at all and the fan was absolutely disgusting it has never been cleaned by the looks of it. One of the chairs in the room didn’t look like it had been cleaned also.
- sharon (9/5): -
- Rebecca 6932 (1/5): - This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Filthy bedding, dusty, light fittings masking taped to the wall. The menu on the website is not what is available... no breakfast facilities... nowhere local to get breakfast. Carpet hadn't been hovered. Dirty socks stuffed down the side of bed. Drawers were sticky. Black fingerprints on ceiling.
We I complained and asked for a refund I was refused... we left very quickly.
- Paul (8/5): - Clean friendly and relaxing
- Dee (8/5): Comfy and great location for football ground - We stayed here as was going football which was only short distance away the bed was high great for us 6ft and 5ft10 and very comfy you are on a flight path so if you are a light sleeper probably not great but we slept ok once staff finished for the night we was right next to kitchen. The bag with eye mask and 1 toothbrush and toothpaste was nice but was 2 of us there was damp in the room but tbh for the 1 night it was alright for us I can't fault the bed that was so comfy best bed I've ever slept in Only 1 item in welcome bag and the noise of staff til 11pm
- Francesco (8/5): Good comfortable location. - Great location, very spacious and comfortable room, and friendly staff. This was our second stay, and we’re likely to stay again. The restaurant is also very nice. A few small issues during our stay: there was no shower gel or soap provided, the toilet paper appeared half-used, and we also found a pair of used socks in the room.
Parking was a bit difficult as it’s shared with nearby restaurants. It might help to allocate parking spaces specifically for hotel guests.
- Geoff (7/5): Little bit tired but room clean and a nice gift bag with biccies etc - Close to Stockport County No bar
- Abdullah (2/5): - garden room is full of smell with indian food..🙁
- Mohammad (10/5): -
- Surin (10/5): Comfy and welcoming - Asif who was in reception was very welcoming and polite. He Allowed me to check in early as I was there for an appointment.
- Clarke (8/5): -
- Joanne (6/5): Quite expensive for what is offered. - Good location Black mould on ceiling in bathroom, dirty kettle, fan provided was completely caked in dust.
- carla (9/5): -
- Angi (7/5): A very good value property in a convenient location with plenty of (free) parking. - No breakfast provided, but that was reflected in the price. For the price, everything matched our expectations. To be picky, the net curtain at the window was tired and tatty - but that is a minor detail.
- emma (3/5): -
- Steven (4/5): Disappointing. Booking.com does not tell you the rooms are above an Indian restaurant. - Receptionist was pleasant on arrival. No Towels in room. No one on reception to ask. Had to borrow a towel from a work colleague who was staying at another hotel. No option for breakfast. Iron didn't work. Room dated with mould on the window frames. Traffic loud outside. Too expensive for what was on offer. No value for money.
- Max (2/5): - No breakfast available. Room was outdated, property has changed substantially since the photos were taken.
- Yvonne (10/5): I like the everything about the place - Very clean Walking through the restaurant
- Brian (6/5): -
- Roger (8/5): Pleasant stay close to Stockport centre -
- Jack (5/5): -
- Alexandra (9/5): Great - The receptionist was amazing, I forgot to ask her name but she was morrocon and complimented me on my tan I should of booked a hotel away from near the airport but that's my fault not the hotel
- Guy (8/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): Would stay there again as the hotel is very comfortable. - Staff ,comfort and cleanliness, excellent. However, on their website they show breakfast items laid out, but when we got there , we were advised it is room only. Not a massive problem, but the website needs to be changed.
- Hugh Martin (8/5): Welcoming staff, generously-sized room and very clean and comfortable. -
