- Andrei (10/5): Couldn't be better. - There was a personal touch in this experience. The owner would come out and have breakfast with the guests, making us feel welcome. We had nice conversations, and he had given us lots of useful information about the town. Next time we go to Cape Town, I will try to book a room at La Rose B&B again. Can't really think of anything we wouldn't like. It was just perfect.

On a aimé le petit déjeuner avec du vrai pain Français et des gâteaux maison, la literie était bonne et l’accueil super La salle d’eau de notre chambre était microscopique , surtout la douche avec l’eau qui part partout et le rideau de douche en plastique qui colle à la peau … c’est vraiment le seul défaut de la chambre ( chambre du bas à gauche dans la maison principale jaune )

- Ellen (10/5): - A truly unique and charming stay! Rose B&B has a wonderful riad-like atmosphere, with a beautiful rooftop terrace in the middle of Bo-Kaap. One of the highlights was the shared breakfast table, which social environment – such a lovely touch. The overall experience we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something a bit different from a standard hotel stay.

- Peter Schumacher (9/5): Super Unterkunft in Spitzenlage - Das B&B liegt sehr zentral in der Innenstadt. Von dort sind fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut zu erreichen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und es wurde extra ein Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus für uns frei gehalten. Bei dem Frühstück hat es an nichts gefehlt, es war super lecker und umfangreich. Der Hausherr war jeden Morgen mit am Frühstückstisch um allen Gästen, so gewünscht, entsprechnde Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants oder sonstige Informationenn zu geben. Hier haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicherlich gerne wieder. Aufgrund der Lage des Hauses in einem historischen Stadtviertel sind die Räume und Zugangswege nur überschaubar groß, aber alles ist gut machbar.

- Mourad (10/5): Highly recommended! - I had a wonderful stay at La Rose Bed & Breakfast, ideally located in the historic Bo-Kaap area of Cape Town. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Bree Street and Long Street, with everything you need close by. The real highlight of the experience is the owner, Yoann. He gives incredibly valuable advice on how to explore Cape Town, and if you enjoy thoughtful, engaging conversations in the morning before starting your day, he is truly someone special to meet. A special mention as well for the staff, who are always available, attentive, and genuinely kind, making the stay even more enjoyable. For my next trip, I honestly won’t even look for another place — I’ll be coming back here without hesitation. Highly recommended!

- Monika (9/5): Nettes B&B im Bo Kaap Viertel in zentraler Lage - Das La Rose B&B liegt sehr zentral im bunten Bo Kaap Viertel. Unsere Zimmer lagen recht ruhig in einem Hinterhaus, wo auch das Frühstück serviert wurde. Sehr netter Kontakt mit dem Besitzer Yoann, der einem auch noch tolle Tipps zu Kapstadt geben konnte. Zum Frühstück gab es viele verschiedene Brotsorten, leckere Marmeladen und Eier in diversen Variationen sowie frischen Obstsalat. Da wir erst abends abgereist sind, konnten wir unser Gepäck in einem Schrank verschließen und hatten auch noch die Gelegenheit zu duschen. Da im Bo Kaap Viertel viele Muslime Leben wurden wir morgens schon um kurz nach 5 durch den Muezzin der nahegelegenen Moschee geweckt.

- Emmanuelle Gourgoulis (10/5): - The place is truly authentic and reflects the house style of Ko Baap. It felt very safe since the property is fully gated. The room was spacious, the bathroom had hot water, and the real highlight was how much it felt like visiting a friend or relative. Yohan is incredibly hospitable, and so is his wife — you really feel like one big family during breakfast, which I almost missed and definitely recommend not skipping. Also everyone is very LGBTI+ and vegan friendly too. I would absolutely recommend this place and would love to visit again. I wished I had more days:)

We did have issues with the air conditioner, but they ultimately were resolved. Our host allowed us to store our luggage on the premises.

- Patrik (9/5): Friendly hotel with great atmosphere. - Really nice and friendly place with very kind and helpful staff and owner. Breakfast in the common inner courtyard where you feel like a big family along a big table is great and the breakfasts were full and very well cooked. Good coffee. Lots of interesting discussions as the owner joins in at breakfast. Also, sitting on the top terrace at night with a drink in the warm evenings was very nice. We recommend this place and will stay again when we visit Cape Town next time.

Kostenloser öffentlicher, aber sicherer Parkplatz vor dem Haus. Gute Ausstattung der Wohnung. Großartige Lage im Bo Kaap Viertel. Wir haben uns sicher gefühlt. Viele gute Restaurants fußläufig in der Nähe. Preis/Leistung gut. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen Einfache Bauart im verwinkelten Haus mit vielen engen Treppen. Es sind mehrere Häuser, die im Block verbunden sind. Je nach Wohnung auch Straßenlage oder teilweise sehr enge kleine Apartments mit unterschiedlicher Sicht. Nicht geeignet für Behinderte.

L’edificio è stato ristrutturato con grande gusto ed è ricco di fascino. Yoann è stato molto accogliente e ci ha dato ottimi consigli sulla città. La camera era molto spaziosa e il vero gioiello del posto è la terrazza, con una vista meravigliosa sulla Table Mountain. Tutto bello

The room was sufficient for our stay with daily cleaning. There was a fan and zircon to keep us cool during the hot nights. They also had a great breakfast selection and were vegan friendly! My family and I enjoyed the conversations with Yoann and his with with other guests during breakfast. It felt like having breakfast with friends/family having various conversations before our day started. Yoann and his wife were attentive to all the guests, remembering details about them making our stay extra special. The location was safe and Yoann was always available to help with any information or recommendations for things to do. Need I say the colourful houses are spectacular! Highly recommend staying here on a solo trip/ friends/family :) Nothing really! I loved my stay

Maybe not elderly as lots of stairs and trip hazard areas as it’s very old building .. felt a little wary in the area at night , its a great area for exploring in daylight hours get an uber home at night not that we encountered any issue at all , The neighbourhood felt inclusive

If you are well- traveled and enjoy lively conversation about a wide variety of topics with the owners and their guests from around the World, you will fit right in. If you want Hyatt- style sameness and blandness, this is probably not for you, but YOU will be the one missing a memorable stay. I would stay here again anytime ! Instant coffee in the room. Coffee was wonderful at breakfast, but a "pod- style" coffee maker would have been nice in the evening.

- Joao Paulo (7/5): My stay was short and very comfortable. Thank you! - The room (and bathroom) were very clean and tidy. The bed and linen were lovely - super comfy! Ample space for electrical items for charging purposes. The shower was excellent! The host, Yoann, was wonderful at keeping the conversation flowing at the breakfast table. Whilst De La Rosa do advertise offering a continental breakfast, personally, it would have been lovely to add some form of meat i.e. cold meats or bacon, and possibly another type of cheese. Also, it may be an option to add ear buds and cotton wool / swabs for the ladies.

It's 5 minutes to walk in to Long Street for the hop on hop off bus and perfectly safe. There are public safety marshalls everywhere.

- Miko (7/5): Nice stay, but I wish the insulation was better - The hosts were super nice! The breakfast was good and it was nice to chat with the hosts and other guests. The insulation between the room and the dining area was near non existent, which meant that it was hard to sleep after the breakfast started (7:30). Luckily, I had early wakeups on most mornings, so this was not a huge issue. Also, as there are many mosques in Bo-Kaap, the prayers carried over and woke me up every morning at 6:30.

- Gisela (8/5): Exceptional hosts - The breakfast time is the best moment, guests get together in the same table and discussions just flow, always interesting to hear the stories of other travellers! And the owners (and their friends) are extremely friendly and warm people, ready to give you good advice on what to do in the city and elsewhere, and they are curious about each of their guests. It is definitely not an impersonal place. The food in the breakfast is simple and tasty and homemade bread and cakes. The location is great, and it is easy to go from there to anywhere. It's a 20 min walk from the waterfront. My room was just in front of the breakfast area, so I did hear every sound and movement from 7h30 AM. For me it was oK, but if you like to sleep late, that can be an issue, so if that is your case, then make sure to ask for a room not too close to the social area.
