- Penny (8/5): Very good value. Good breakfast. Roadside rooms are noisy. - The room was clean and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast (paid for separately). Bring earplugs if you have a roadside room as it is very noisy from about 6 am onwards. Probably best to ask for a room away from the road.

- Tommy (5/5): Unable to Sleep for Noise - Room was clean, bed mattress was comfortable. Kept awake all night by the constant traffic noise and an extremely squeaky bed. Aware they can't do anything about the traffic but windows appeared to provide no muffling of sound. Perhaps window upgrades needed, So if the room is somewhere cheap to get a sleep I'm afraid it's failed its primary function.

- James (7/5): Not a b and b, just a room. - Room was clean and good wee balcony No breakfast at all. Usually a b and b offers some sort of breakfast.. Not clearly stated that only a paid for breakfast was available as an extra.

- Adrian (10/5): Excellent stay, delicious food and all extremely reasonable as well. - Everything was excellent, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate three times during our stay including breakfast, all of our meals were delicious (especially the omelette). Would definitely look to stay again in the future. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Hotel also offers smaller portions for pensioners. Bar was good with wide range of sports being shown. Nothing really as hotel met our expectations.

- Jane (8/5): Excellent value for money - Breakfast was extra but very good value and also the meals were good pub grub. Helpful staff , they ordered a taxi for us when requested . Little fridge in the room with 2 bottles of water and tea coffee and biscuits . There were microwaves and cutlery available for guests for warming takeaways ? And a mini library of books No complaints about anything, such good value
- Ulla (9/5): Mycket fräscht och välplanerat rum. - Riktigt bra överraskning! Rummet var över förväntan, litet med otroligt väl planerat. Mycket sköna sängar och sängkläder. Stort och fräscht badrum och härliga handdukar. Det fanns ett litet hopfällbart bord som man kunde använda om man ville äta på rummet. Utanför rummet fanns det mikrovågsugn, tallrikar, bestick m.m. Jättebra om man har barn och inte kan/vill äta ute på restaurang. Vattenflaskor i kylen, te och kaffe. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Matbutiker i närheten. Vi skulle till flygplatsen tidigt nästa morgon och hann därför inte äta frukost. På restaurangen erbjöds det annars olika typer av frukostar. Det var inte inkluderat i rums priset. Stor parkering bakom hotellet som var kameraövervakad. Lätt att ta sig ut och till flygplatsen. Dåligt med ventilation, blev varmt på natten. Låg precis bredvid en mycket trafikerad väg, så vi kunde inte ha fönstret öppet. Ta med öronproppar! Inget speciellt trevligt läge om man ville besöka andra restauranger osv.

Its a different vibe in ten summer. - The staff were friendly and accommodating to an early check in which we were extremely grateful for and they allowed our dog to stay which was the main reason. The room was freezing cold, ypu couldn't stay in the shower for longer than a few minutes or it flooded. The bed was so uncofortabke. The guests doors from other rooms were extremely loud every time they entered or left. Im sure due to no fault of their own. Just simple things that would have made our stay more comfortable.

- Maryanne (9/5): One night in Kirkcaldy - Nice big room X2 bottles of water, tea and coffee in the room. Claw feet bath Allowed pets and rang me when they were barking. Got there at 1.30 said room ready but couldn’t check in until 2 - after travelling for 6 hours, this was petty. Towels in bathroom too thin and small. Rooms above pub so expect pub associated noise and disturbed sleep in the night, if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast is extra. So thought overall it was bit expensive. Nothing worse than trying to eat your breakfast listening to a hoover.

- Sonny (1/5): Dashboard thing needs to stay in sync - It looks lovely but the place was already booked by the time we booked it and got there. Nothing just the system needs to be more in sync as we were homeless booking some place to stay for the night(s) required to work on things.
- Dolene (7/5): Large room, but noisy!! - The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was big and the food was amazing. The bedding smelled a bit like damp and fusty. The mattress was a bit too soft. The hot water is controlled so the bath was not very hot. Unfortunately the room is facing the main street so its rather loud. The room was a bit hot but couldn't open the window due to the loud traffic.

Comfy beds, sparkly clean, great bath and shower. Loved microwave, fridge and kettle with tea/coffee, biscuits and bottled water in the room. So handy. It was nice and warm. Parking round the back too. Nothing.

- Zenon (6/5): A Budget Option If That's What You Need - We chose The Elbow Room based on other reviews and because it was a stop that fit our travel itinerary. Overall, what you receive for your money is probably a reasonable balance. Translation: inexpensive but you don't get much. I would say that the owners are trying their best but missing the mark. The breakfast was mediocre at best and the cleanliness so so. The shower stall walls need a thorough cleaning. What looked like a pattern in the wall material was actually mildew streaked up and down. We aren't aren't upset about our stay but rather concede that the Elbow Room is one those you get what you pay for places. You can certainly find better options that will cost more and perhaps we should have done just that.

- Dean (7/5): Good but could have been great with a few tweaks. - Our room was spacious, featuring comfortable beds and a pleasant sitting area. The bathroom was also large with a full bathtub and a separate shower. The free parking was greatly appreciated. There was no hot water in the shower. It was tepid at best. As well, the shower didn't drain well, so you ended up standing in water. The light above the sink was not working.
