- Ganner (8/5): Solihull B&B - Parking, location, comfy bed, amenities you could walk too. Property looking a little dated
- Iqubal (10/5): -
- Gibson (8/5): - Parking.
Value for money.
Nice staff All ok
- Charlotte (8/5): Lovely stay overall. - Helen was an absolutely fab host and was easy to communicate with. I had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and tidy, and had everything in it that was needed. The wifi and parking were great. The location was good and the house felt safe. The single room was smaller than I expected. The sound proofing isn't perfect so you could hear other guests especially in the mornings.

- Iqubal (10/5): - Perfect as always Nothing
- Alexander (10/5): Very friendly, comfortable and clean stay. Would recommend - Comfortable, sensibly-sized room with an en-suite was great. The hostess was happy to let me use the microwave when I needed to heat my dinner, the procedure for getting in and out was straightforward enough whilst also being secure. The hostess was very friendly and helped me feel comfortable during my stay. The location was a little tricky to get to from where I needed to go and it's not particularly close to shops, but I didn't mind walking around a bit to get to where I needed.

- Anni Sophia (10/5): Lovely host and cozy atmosphere - The host was very warm, attentive, and kind, which was especially appreciated after a long and exhausting journey. The place felt like stepping into a cozy Gryffindor living room from Harry Potter — warm, welcoming, and full of character. Everything was neat, clean, and thoughtfully arranged, with a lovely old-fashioned English charm.
The environment outside was also very clean and decent, plus grocery shops & a few bars in close proximity. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back! Nothing really — I was very happy with my stay.
- Iqubal (10/5): -
- Andreas (8/5): All good for one night and at a fair price. - Very friendly and kind host. And everything was clean. The bedroom was small but still alright.
The bathroom was small and not well renovated. It looked like a botched up home job and worn.
- Arunima (9/5): - Nice, helpful hosts None
- DHowell (8/5): - Nice, helpful welcome; comfortable, clean and warm room; bedside tea and coffee making facilities; tasty, well-prepared breakfast. The single room was a little cramped.
- George (9/5): -
- Geoff (9/5): Would go there again. - Room was good.
Breakfast was excellent.
Owner was friendly. Nothing.
- David (8/5): -
- Alistair (9/5): No frills Guest House, had everything needed. Great for overnight stay, would stay again - No Frills Guest House, exactly what was required. Easy check in and out, clean, owner communication was great.
Would stay again Wasn't offered breakfast, but I didn't ask, as I needed to get away early anyway
- Richard (7/5): Comfortable home from home experience. Friendly host. - Good location, a busy road but just a short walk from a parade of shops including lovely bakery/cafe for breakfast. Helen was very friendly, the house was warm and welcoming. Comfy beds, good TV and drink making facilities. Clean and homely. Our room wasn't huge but was everything we needed. Free wi-fi. There is parking for 6 cars on the drive, when we arrived it was tricky to fit on, the owner moved her car forward for us. We weren't sure how it worked regarding those cars boxed in by others but it wasn't a problem for us as we were last in. We hadn't indicated an arrival time and had to ring the bell several times and telephone the owner to let us in. We would have appreciated maybe a key code box to let ourselves in. The shower was small but adequate. It would be nice to have a note in the room indicating breakfast arrangements and check out times etc.
- Tanveer (9/5): - The owner was incredible- helped me with a broken zip in the morning as I was leaving for a wedding!
- steven (10/5): Lovely place and very welcoming, would stay again - Very Nice breakfast, comfy bed, lovely view of the garden, friendly landlady
- Carol (9/5): Very good excellent host - Breakfast was very nice good choice
- punnorg (4/5): - Not much I can recall Had to wait for someone to drive to the property despite agreeing a check-in upfront. The entry of the porch entrance had a most putrid, fetid smell I cannot describe other than most unpleasant. The lady greeting was polite and a gentleman took me to the room and made no effort to engage other than state in a harsh tone that I must switch off the light before leaving the room, although I had just arrived. I found his conduct most unwelcoming and cold. The room itself was acceptable but the bathroom left a lot to be desired for the price paid. Will certainly consider B&Bs and small hotels carefully on Booking.com in the future, and balance my requirements with popular lodge companies which guarantee a quality room with a good standard bathroom at a less price. I picked this hotel because I wanted straightforward, direct parking at the front of the hotel. However, upon leaving 11am the next day, a car was blocking mine and I had to call the mobile number displayed on the porch wall. Yet another minor inconvenience. A poor selection and a lesson learnt.
- Stuart (10/5): Great place to stop for either a night or a week. - Clean and tidy . Friendly host . Nothing

- Anne (8/5): Friendly comfortable stay at a reasonable price - Close to NEC

- Lesley (8/5): A lovely one night stay in this comfortable guest house. - Our room was very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. The location was perfect for us, being so close to the Grand Union canal and we appreciated the little parade of shops/takeaways nearby.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect for what I needed will stay again - Friendly and felt safe
- Joudieh (9/5): Superb - I stayed for 10 days. The staff I met were exceptionally kind and helpful, and the room was very cosy and clean. They were on top of the game making sure I was comfortable and okay all throughout the stay. The fridge being on top of the wardrobe was slightly inconvenient but not a big deal.
- Tammy (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly Nothing
- Scott (8/5): Value for money - Didn't do breakfast as i was up early every day , but the house was close to a little collection of shops and takeaways if you wanted anything
- David (10/5): Very pleasant stay in large nicely old-fashioned townhouse. - Very pleasant room in a nice old fashioned large town house. Everything worked really well and was quiet. Location was on a main road a good ten minutes’ walk from the nearest station - but I knew that when I booked!
- Iqubal (10/5): Exceptional -

- Danielle (10/5): Quiet, private hideaway for a family visit in Solihull. - Clean, quiet and convenient. The owner was delightful- very thoughtful and kind. Would stay again without hesitation. Everything was great. As a non European I struggled with the shower settings but that my failing not the properties!
- Joanne (10/5): Lovely clean guesthouse with friendly staff - The property was clean and the room had good facilities. The owner was very friendly and helped in anyway possible
- Lee (10/5): Great guest house . Great staff , highly recommend. - Very clean & my room was very nice , good nights sleep ! great breakfast , I was kindly upgraded also . The staff were just great 👍. I’ll definitely book here again . Dinning room & sitting areas great also .

- Mf_22 (9/5): Delightful place in Solihull for your staying in Birmingham. - The location is very convenient to/from the park and ride stations to Moor Street, and close to residential area ideal for evening walks, and not far from a small supermarket, an Indian restaurant for evening meals, and cafes for breakfasts.
Bed was extremely comfortable; and Helen provided loads of teabags available (not the usual two as often happens!)! Off road parking is a great bonus too.
Last but not least, Helen upgraded my staying to double room with ensuite, which was a great bonus! :D The location is on a busy road to Birmingham city centre, which may lead to morning traffic noise if the window is left open, and the shower plate could use a thorough cleaning.
- Madison (10/5): Exceptional - I have stayed with Helen for over 5 weeks now (once every week) and each time she has been an absolute angel. I’m always treated with kindness and compassion and she always goes out her way to make sure i’m okay. Highly recommend
- Oluwatosin (9/5): Superb -
- Simon (9/5): Superb - Friendly, clean and flexible. Nothing
- Jennifer (9/5): Very happy to recommend Leaded Light - We had a very short stay before our 0600 flight from Birmingham International, so arrived after luggage drop off at the airport at about 1900 and left at 0400.
The property is easy to find and we arrived by X12 from the airport to Solihull Station and number 4 bus to Reservoir Road stop followed by a 2 minute walk.
There are places to eat and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk from Leaded Light.
I was very anxious about the reliability of a taxi at 0400 but needn't have worried as Vezu arrived early. It cost £18.50 to be dropped at departures or £12.50 to be dropped 10 minutes away at the free car park.
Leaded Light is very comfortable with a lovely owner who went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. The beds were comfortable and the ensuite had everything we needed. Sadly we missed breakfast!
We would definitely recommend Helen's lovely home.
- Matthews (9/5): would recommend, its a lovely period house and host was excellent - I was well taken care of by host. Nothing was too much trouble. Single room was good value. I missed not having a power shower, that was the only negative
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great and the room was very nice. Can't think of anything?
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Juste (9/5): Great value for money - They were very helpful and made sure my motorbike was kept safe. I appreciate that a lot! The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Internet was fast. Biscuits and coffee provided. N/A
- Felipe (10/5): Exceptional - Was just right.
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Iqubal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madison (10/5): Exceptional - Helen was absolutely lovely such a warm and welcoming lady and i felt very looked after. She even made me a hot water bottle which was really special. If i need to come back i would definitely stay again
- Louise (3/5): Tired guest house that could really benefit with updating - The free parking was convenient and the host was friendly Uncomfortable, squeaky bed (springs could be felt through the mattress), electric shower was not great, a front door that didn't close properly and a musty smell in the room.
The property is on a very busy road, so very noisy
- Clare (8/5): A very comfortable stay in a really convenient location with great hosts. - Very friendly host, warm and comfy room with everything I needed for an overnight stay. Good location close to Solihull Town Centre, and not far from NEC & the airport. Just small details that would have made it even better: a little treat was a nice touch (but sadly out of date) and the shower head was a little under-powered for my liking. Everything else was great.
- Iqubal (10/5): Exceptional -

- Annie (8/5): Good value guest house with ensuite and free parking - Nice welcome, given a larger room than booked, tea and coffee and kettle supplied, nice and warm free off road parking Very creaky bed, traffic loud through windows, bathroom very narrow and a little tired with a slightly funky smell
- Adrian (9/5): highly recommended - What a lovely welcome! Helen is very accommodating and interested in our stay being a success.
