Guest Reviews
- Barnaby (1/5): Don’t bother - ⛔️Beware this hotel is a scam,You book they cancel
and they are sneaky ringing you up on a mobile Number not associated with the hotel and cancelling then you only get £5 refund and booking.com don’t help,STAY WELL CLEAR ⛔️
- Oldham (1/5): Bad - We got all the way there which was a 3 hour journey just see a post outside saying the building is closed down we had no money to pay for anywhere else to stay so had to travel all the way back home the say day!!!!
- Gillian (1/5): Bad -
- Mark (1/5): Bad - Shut
- Joey (3/5): Poor -
- Bon (1/5): Bad - We arrived nobody in reception, text owner, he text back booking cancelled, had paid in advance,am. now trying to claim off insurance, do not go here, it's rotten, scammer
- Taryn (1/5): AVOID BOOKING, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!! - I wouldn't know we walked out of the property after being inside for 4 minutes. Everything! The customer service was absolutley shocking, it was filthy and smelt like there was a decomposing animal somewhere.
- Danielle (1/5): You will need therapy after visiting this place!! - Absolutely nothing. I liked leaving the front door and breathe again Everything!!! We walked in and it absolutely stank of sewage it was difficult to breathe. The walls were peeling and covered in black mold. There were no lights on at all and we got taken to the bar area if you can call it that where there were piles of dirty washing and rubbish everywhere. We were then told there was no booking for us which we were over the moon about and got turned away. We then had to book somewhere else near by last minute. We complained to booking.com and asked them to request a full refund which he responded with a refusal but offered a change of date . I wouldn't even let an animal stay in that place let alone a human!!!! Avoid at all costs, do not waste your money.
- Topham (1/5): Bad - Nothing they canceled my booking at the last minute with no excuse over a text and the guy I talked to on the phone was very rude and unpleasant Everything
- Chantelle (1/5): Bad - disgusting don’t recommend to anybody. arrived in cleethorpes and suddenly got a message saying no such booking meaning they weren’t giving me a room or giving me back a refund! i then had to contact my bank asking for a refund as i had to find another place to stay.
- Vicki (1/5): Horrible - The location Unfortunately the only clean part seems to be to be the entrance hall, walking up stairs to my room id already decided it wasnt going to be a great stay. The walls were damaged and the carpets dirty, my room was dusty it had 3 cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and a dead spider in the corner, the pictures were dusty and so was the bed frame and side table. The skirting boards again dusty and dirty. I didn’t stay and checked out soon after. When I explained why im not staying i received no apology or offer to clean or refund me just ok see u later!! Waste of £60 and ruined my weekend!!
- Carly (1/5): Will not be staying here again and definitely won’t recommend to anyone. - The location. No shower door, damp in the room, old dirty carpet on floor, paint falling off the walls, tea and coffee facilities very poor. Bar on the photo’s advertised looked really good but the bar actually looked more like a storage room. Pictures advertised on Booking.com looking nothing like the actual hotel.
- Gary (1/5): Bad - Nothing took my money never let me through the door with my partner at night freezing cold.. very poor attitude from the owner. Tried to ask for £100 extra to let us stay. Even though he said the heating in our was broken.. fuming with this place. Don't recommend to anyone....@!!!@!
- Cheryl (1/5): Scary and intimidating, scam demanding addiobal money last minute - Nothing at all Horrendous pre stay experience. I was advised via text my room had been cancelled the day of travel unless I paid an extra £20 per night. Intimidating and scary communications and I had to find alternative accommodation last minute. Would not recommend for solo female traveller as the ‘host’ communication was disturbing.
- Kye (1/5): DON'T STAY HERE - Very rude staff
The staff were very unwelcoming
Very cold
- Stobbs (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, very comfortable and clean room, close to all the amenities and very fairly priced NA
- Andrew (6/5): Pleasant - Location Although understand the Hotel is undergoing a refurb, there is some way to go, my room had been redecorated and furnished and although a little tight was adequate for a short overnight stay.
For the price paid was more than adequate, although difficult to contact regarding a possible late arrival. Would say more of a Guest House with additional facilities than a Hotel.
- Dean (3/5): Poor -
- Donna (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (5/5): Passable - Bed was good and good night's sleep. Room was nice and warm. No hot water at washbasin. Shower head needed cleaning, water in every direction. Kettle did not work properly. Coffee mugs were dirty. Carpet needed hoovering.
- Donald (7/5): Did the job. - Only required a bed fir the night.
- Steve (6/5): Value for money but could be better. - The actual bedroom and bed were nice, the ensuite could do with an update and the communal areas a little tatty but overall I would stay there again for the price as a place to lay my head after a night out. The ensuite need referring and the communal areas updating.
- Jade (8/5): Beautiful room perfect location - The location was perfect, the staff where lovely, the room was beautiful! Room 4!
I'd definitely recommend this for a affordable couple of nights away! I'll be back. Only thing is breakfast wasn't available but everything else was perfect
Thank you for a lovely stay
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional - Value for the money.
Will be staying there again
- Coulbeck (3/5): Poor -
- Abigail (5/5): Ok stay - would maybe go back - Clean - comfy bed - nice dressing table etc Staff were not that accommodating- were plunt & not welcoming
- Smith (1/5): Bad - Pp The guy who let us in made out he was a painter and decorator yet when we got there on the door was a number to call for book in and it was the same guy that was making out he was a painter and decorater that answered he made out the heating had gone yet was booking other people in when we got there and has given us a false number to ring for a refund disgusting behaviour
- Len (3/5): Poor - The location was great Very disappointed with accommodation nothing like pictures. Had rooms changed our original rooms up rickety fire escape no wardrobe old bed no chair basic would be an understatement
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - Location n staff Was charged double, because booking.com or ovo double booked us..tried contacting you and tried contacting the hotel...Im still £101 out of pocket..expensive weekend in cleethorpes
- Wilkinson (3/5): Poor - Unclean the dressing table stool had an inch of dust on it, a cushion on the chairs near the windows had brown marks on it. (God knows what that was)smelly, a pungent smell of damp. The bathroom window had no or little cover, the blind did not close properly & had a broken slat which was just placed on the window sill. The window looked out on to the street, and bath was in front of the window so we had no privacy to use the bath. After checking in, could not contact anyone on reception for a hairdrier, as it wasn't in the room as expected, but in the reception.
- Abolina (3/5): Poor -
- Jason (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly staff who sorted our issue out straight away. Booked twin beds, unfortunately our room was no longer available and was given another room that was too small. Owner booked us another room in his sister hotel.
- Jack (7/5): Cheap and cheerful - Location was brilliant, cheap, basic but has everything you need for a little break away!
- Alistair (6/5): A short break in Cleethorpes. - The location is excellent,10 minutes walk from the centre of Cleethorpes and situated on the sea front.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room was a little cramped but clean and comfortable. I've got to be fair, here. I booked 2 nights at the hotel on the day that I travelled to Cleethorpes. The hotel had only 1 room left (Room 10) and it was at the top of an outdoor staircase. I've had pains in my right leg and found it difficult to climb the stairs. Had I known about the staircase in advance,I would have chosen a different hotel.
Since I returned home,I have been bombarded with e-mails from the hotel, asking me for a review. Just 1 would have been sufficient
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (3/5): poor. - location dirty. cobwebs covered the bedroom, carpet disgusting. very clever with the pictures of the hotel
- Ricky (1/5): Don’t bother waiting money or time - Nothing got abuse from other residents with children I was too it was 8 20 pm told them before nine but last check in at 8.30 pm wow rang the number provided even the main office couldn’t get hold of owner oyo wow No show owners
- Clifford (1/5): Worst b&b i have ever stayed in - room very musty smell.Drains smell from ensuite on second night.Hence 1 rating. We could not have stayed there a week.
- Tina (10/5): Lovely - Everything would recommend
- Lorraine (7/5): Good -
- Jackson (9/5): Superb -
- Andreea (4/5): Disappointing - The location The smell of room and beds
- Bailey (1/5): Bad -
- Hoyland (7/5): Good -
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Location was excellent for what we needed
- Shaw (10/5): Exceptional - Good location and parking facilities staff very welcoming ind very clean definitely stay there again Nothing
- Rpain (6/5): Pleasant -
- Carol (6/5): Pleasant - Location and value for money
- Deanne (5/5): Did the job - Good location, nice size rooms, good bedding, towels and drink facilities An elevator was listed, there wasn’t one. I traveled with an elderly relative who required a lift
Hair dryers listed-none in the room
Our room wasn’t secure. The landing opened onto an open fire escape into an open car park
- Peter (1/5): Substandard - Nothing The room and the facilitys
- Kerrie (4/5): Not very pleasant - That is was close to the seafront and cheap Wasn’t very clean and very cold n the room. The man there wasn’t very nice and made us feel very uncomfortable. We only went to ask about parking for an old couple who was also staying there and he was very rude. Told us that when we got back in not to basically make any noise or he would throw us out (we was only going out for food. He just assumed we was going out all night drinking) if it wasn’t late we would not have stayed there and paid for somewhere else. We got up at 7am and left. when we first got there he didn’t say hello just looked at us. Would not recommend
- Stainforth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danielle (8/5): Very good -
- Ryan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Joanne (10/5): Great value - Amazing location
Staff amazing All fine
- Parry (8/5): Very good -
- Jamie (8/5): Very good - Friendliness of staff n good car parking Being charged twice, both booking.com and won't take responsablity🤔🤔
- Susan (5/5): Passable - Na Cleanliness of hotel
- Steph (4/5): Please avoid - The beds were comfy No view, the bedroom had no windows, no air al was available, no passwords given or ,è.
Ww.
Saà we, get promised a wine or champagne on arrival I don't drink anyway but they don't even mention it.
Please avoid realistically it's not comfortable.
Thje lady receptionist was pleasant, I bet the only reason the place has custom.
- Jakub (1/5): I don't recommend - ALll Hotel A hotel for people who like to give each other a vein leadership
- Anonymous (5/5): Cheap and cheerful would stay again but ask for extra blankets - Close to the beach The bed was not Comfortable I was cold at night the quilt wasn’t very warm there was some fighting and shouting out side it was a bit unnerving
- Wilson (6/5): Pleasant - Convenient location No staff available to let us in. Dirt in places
- Khalil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (4/5): Whole place is in need of an urgent remodelling - I was given an upgraded room upon check in. It was clean in the bedroom. If that was the “upgraded room” then I hate to imagine what the original room would have been like. The whole place smelled like damp. Nothing appears to have been changed or redecorated for at least 30 years.
- Holden (6/5): Pleasant - Was on see front Was not what was expected rundown there was stay in residential n bar no breakfast and was advertised there was laundry and things ll over reception
- Anonymous (2/5): Spoiled are weekend - Nothing not as shown on the advertisement It wasnt clean or pleasant,on arrival I had to wait for a man that was power cleaning all the sludge away from the entrance electric cable running threw the hall with leaking hose pipe next to it that I had to get passed with cases. The owners were away never anybody around to ask them for help on 3 occasions we tried ringing the bell,as we had no running hot water to our sink my husband had to boil a kettle to have a shave. The shower only just worked one day then the next day it got over heated and unbearable couldn’t Controle the temperature then it went straight to cold it didn’t then work so we couldn’t both have a shower anymore. The shower had black mould all around.
the lower tiles were cracked .The bed was on the floor that s no good. When your young like 18 years that’s ok but when your nearly 60 it’s hard to get in and out of bed it was like sleeping on the floor It wasn’t very comfortable we both had aching backs after 2
nights sleeping on it.It was advertised that there was a lounge with a bar that was always locked and never any staff around. The pictures advertised didn’t look like the actual place and inside are room wasn’t like the pictures shown.Nobody-really introduced us to everything that was available ,the carpets on stair’s and corridors were dirty.
No staff not a very welcoming place a-tall we shall not be going ever again.
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, really comfortable bed, and a lovely room.
- Elaine (2/5): Avoid - Just the location. Would not recommend at all. The place is run down, needs lots of work. Not very clean and cobwebs everywhere you look. No running hot water. Had to shower in another room (shower trickled water) after waiting 45 mins for ‘water to heat up’. Water never got hot so think boiler broke. Would not rate as 3* at all. Won’t be returning or recommending this hotel.
- Catherine (1/5): Very basic budget - View from room The hotel was very very run down, it desperately needs decorating it smells funny and needs fumigatimg. The rooms are not as pictures in booking description at all very old fashioned and dated. We paid to upgrade to Seaview the room was tidy and clean but again dated. There was no bar so the hotel owner said his partner would go get us some he brought a full crate but charged us 10 pound for 4cans! No breakfast the dining room was full of junk and and equipment . Not very nice at all would never stay here again
- Demi (8/5): Fantastic - Friendly staff great location Very warm
- Terry (10/5): Excellent mini break ! - Excellent mini break !
- Daniel (4/5): Disappointing -
- Jayde (5/5): Passable - the room was lovely the staff was rude kept knocking on the door to tell us to keep quiet has we was talking to loud
it took quite long to get in had to ring them 3/4 times has we was stood outside just under an hour
- Ben (6/5): Was ok for what I paid, I don’t think I’d stay in colder times as the room was cold when I got in and there wasn’t any h - Friendly greeting and location The water was cold when I stayed and I had to have a cold shower.
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Kirthney (5/5): OK for the money - Was close to beech Black mold on windows cob webs in coronas of the room and on lights and was accused of taking the TV remote
- Coops (4/5): Ok for one night as we had an event locally. - Located on sea front Run down generally, shared toilet out of order with a bad smell in the stairwell. Appreciate this was probably a temporary thing. Room was ok but all a bit dated.
- Brittany (2/5): Very poor - Location Shower needed some work, looked a mess eith tiles broken all over.
Also we was greeted my a gentleman who was very rude
The previous family who checked in before us said the exact same thing as we was checking in.
- Lidia (4/5): Disappointed would not go back - Not a lot Rude staff, very abrupt. I booked this hotel for my brother. On arrival was told he would be chucked out if he broke any rules. Check out was up to 10.30 but at 9am he was told to leave and hand the keys back.
- Diane (9/5): Superb -
- Adal (1/5): Bad -
- Michael (1/5): Bad - Nothing , Door handle came off wouldn't lock, window wouldn't shut ! Felt very unsafe
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Magdalena (2/5): Very poor -
- Timothy (2/5): rubbish - nothing the owner is a pig he kicked me and my friends out because he over booked the hotel so I lost out also
- Vicky (5/5): little bit like faulty towers but somewhere to sleep - the room was clean enough, somewhere to put your head down pulling in to the car park there were broken items from the hotel and it wasn’t very welcoming, there was a problem with the drains and when we arrived back to the hotel at midnight the smell was almost unbearable to the point my friend was nearly sick.
- Tracy (5/5): FAIR - THE BED WAS NOT VERY CLEAN
- Mount (8/5): Very good -
- Chantelle (1/5): they wouldn’t even let us in for no apparent reason what so evwr - nothing I need a refund for my booking, me and my partner turned up at the hotel at 11.30am we was advised that we couldn’t check in untill 2.30pm we then went back to the hotel to check and we was treated very poorly! The staff did not at any point take any sort details regarding our booking the only thing he did was be very rude and arrogant towards us! As customers I have never come across any logit company treat me with this level of disrespect I have as of now seeked further legal advice as this is a beach of policy! I want to be refunded in full amount and also I want to put a formal complain in towards staff as he was the most unprofessional staff member I have ever come across
- Crowcroft (2/5): Very poor - The fact it was close to the seafront I didn't like much so says everything
- Carl (7/5): Good -
- Kilburn (4/5): Disappointing -
- Michael (1/5): Bad - Toilet blocked up numerous times window on room I couldn't shut stuck door handle came off in my hand went to reception numerous times no one there place is in need of some serious reservation
- Melanie (8/5): brilliant - good location and comfy beds and clean
- Shawn (4/5): one night is all we would stay there for no more, not sure if we would stay here again, strange place - The location of the property great, The view was good, The staff are not very happy, The room smelled strange like it had not been cleaned and the rooms are cold, not value for money, CCTV camera bang outside the room which is weird
property needs some upgrades as it looks tired
- Barnes (7/5): Good - Reasonable for the price Very low bed
- Janine (8/5): basic accommodation, what we expected for what we paid. bed was comfy, room was clean. shower wasn’t too fabulous, water - had parking, was really good value and the location didn’t dislike anything, we got what we paid for
- Akinkuowo (9/5): Superb -
