Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location and communication from check in staff. Apartment looked a bit worn-out but clean and ok for the cost.
- Marc (8/5): - Excellent location. Extremely clean and well maintained. the only exception- one of the beds was very soft and could not support two people comfortably
Management was very responsive.
- Marc-André (8/5): - Beautiful apartment, perfect for a stay in Toronto. Some pros, but many cons.
Pros :
- 2 bathrooms in the apartment - one next to each bedroom
- Easy to get the key (simple checkin)
- Fast answers from the owner
- Pool access on the 3rd floor (the room key did not work, but we asked someone in the hallway to open for us)
- Nice view from the balcony
Cons :
- The sheets of one bed were dirty (we replaced them on our arrival using the spares in the closet)
- Each bathroom had defective lamps
- Everything in the kitchen was in sets of 3 (chairs, glasses, small plates, forks) - not practical for a group of 4...
- No cups or regular plates in the kitchen
- One room is closed using clear glass door (not very intimate)
- Remote for the garage was not working
- One of the beds had the support slats fallen to the ground
- One of the bathroom's door was very hard to close and made an extreme noise.
- Mattresses are very cheap and extremely soft
Overall, we had a good time there, but the apartment would really need some improvements, specially for the price.
- Taca (4/5): Vacation in Toronto suite for rent: 832 Bay Street - One should be very careful booking with Vacation in Toronto company.
Apartment is poorly equipped. It had 3 small plates and 3 wine glasses in it. And that was it. There is no coffee maker, cups, pots...
Carpet in the bedroom is very dirty.
Bed falling apart with boards constantly moving.
Pictures on the Expedia website are deceiving since he second bedroom does not have proper walls, just glass sliding door, no curtains, no privacy.
I was taken advantage of in the emergency situation.
I booked 4 nights. Unfortunately, on the second night my wallet with apartment key in it was stolen. Company's emergency contact person failed to provide appropriate assistance and I had to deal with the locksmith in the middle of the night in order to access the apartment. To top if of, the Vacation in Toronto company contact person threatened me with criminal charges, refused to answer any phone calls and text messages the following day, made false accusation with the Expedia and made me leave the apartment the next day. (no refunds).
I will never use Vacation in Toronto company to book accommodation.
- Cathy (6/5): near college and young - overall it was ok, we stayed 1 night and were charged a cleaning fee of ninety dollars which I think is a bit much for a one night. The email said that we had to put the sheets in the washing machine and the garbage at the front door for the cleaners. !! I was not happy about that and contacted the renter to ask why I was paying a cleaning fee. Her response said that "we didn't have to do that"........So why put it in the email? I felt that it was underhanded and that she only wanted pay for the cleaners to come in for a shorter time if we did some of the work.
The apartment it's self needs some TLC and the beds were very cheap. If you pay that much for a place to stay, the quality should reflect the price.
The place was clean and the owner did get back to us promptly, but it didn't out way the rest of our experience.
