Lisa (7/5): Clean, very friendly staff, great location. When renovations are done will be nice affordable stay - Breakfast wasn't much. The coffee was surprisingly good, though, so I grabbed that and a granola bar which was fine with me. Even at check in our room wasn't ready but fair enough it was BTS concert week, lol! The staff were very nice though and figured out a way to get us into a room. It was in the midst of renovation so the room had some glitches but the renovation looked nice. I think once the renovation is done this place will be a very good value as long as the room rates don't go up too much.

Amanda (10/5): Our stay was perfect. - The people running this establishment were absolutely wonderful, so warm, kind and helpful. They made our stay such a great experience! This is an older property is in the process of renewal, but you can tell the owners take pride in the place and I look forward to seeing what they do next.
Vonci (10/5): My Stanford Stay! - I had the most pleasant stay at this motel. From the moment I interacted with the people who run this place I was greeted (first online) (then when I arrived) with a hospitality I havent seen in years. They were friendly, super knowlegable about the area, they filked me in on foid and bus stops I was going to need before the event. They were genuinely interested and they made sure I wasnt left with any uncertainties, since I was traveling alone. I cant say enough about the brother and sister who run this place and about those people I didnt get the chance to meet in person. Everyone was so kind and accomodating. They are remodeling all the rooms and the room I got was so nice. The bedding was top notch, and the shower was huge. They had good towels and ia nroom fridge and microwave. In the morning I had a lovely chat over good coffee and LOTS of scrumptious pastries. No one rushed me off the property by check out and I was allowed to leave my car there as I ventured off to the event. Like I said, I traveled alone and I felt a bit out of my comfort zone. Upon arriving at the Stanford Motor Inn I immediately knew I was in good hands and my trip was as memorable as I had hoped it would be. If your ever in Stanford or any of the cities surrounding it youll see a ton of hotel/motels to choose from, please take my advice and book a stay here. They deserve it and so will you. Thanks you guys, I will be back one day with my daughter this time. I had a blast! I hated the fact that I couldnt stay longer.

The place was outdated. AC was old and super loud. The sitting chair had a massive questionable stain. The bed was very thin; I could feel the springs when laying down.

Lesia (10/5): Love this place - The staff was very depending and welcoming. This hotel is doing renovations. Once they are done it will be my go to stay location. The need want comfortable but this is getting fixed with the renovation. I still think this is the best due to the friendliness of the hotel staff.

The plants outside were wonderful and well cared for! The place looks worn and tired. It needs updating, cleaned and painted. Our toilet was plugged and our door would not open unless you kicked it. Some mold was noted on the wall in the bathroom.

That shows in all the details: complementary water bottle when checking in, changing our room from two doubles to two queens; nice painting around the walls; cute butterfly face towel folding decor... Nice location: close to Stanford university, there are a couple of good Chinese restaurants nearly. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is very simple: mainly pastry, juice, coffee. I would consider it as a nice snack instead of breakfast.

Aerie (10/5): - I love this place. As I was checking out, I heard another guest saying the same. You should not expect a luxury hotel. It is a clean, honest hotel in the middle of one of the most expensive places on the planet. What really sets this place apart is the staff. They are so warm and friendly that it immediately sets you at ease. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. Nearly 20 years ago, when we were starting our organization at Stanford, we came here. Over the years, we have always come back. Even as we have grown, this is my favorite place to stay near Stanford. Thank you to the whole team!

Ziemowit (7/5): - A typical motel/inn in Palo Alto, although on a more fancy side (lots of vegetation around, interesting style). Very professional, helpful and friendly staff, available in hotel I think 24/7. Room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable, large TV and good furniture (a lot of drawers, desk, several light sources). Fast WiFi Only two issues - but for me they were rather major: Air conditioning in room is much too loud, its hard to sleep with it turned on. Air conditioning controller is also not set-up properly, hysteresis loop is too wide, i.e. AC cools room and then turns off and waits for a long period of time. As a result during night it is periodically either too cold or too hot. Breakfast is I think typical for US motels - mostly DIY from dry packages or sweet buns packed in foil. It would be good to have something fresh and healthy (vegetables, buns, butter, stuff to make sandwiches, etc.).

Danielle (5/5): Inn has great staff, make over needed. - Staff and location are great! The location is old. Rooms are stuffy and a Lil hummid. Our bed was extremely hard and lumpy. The AC unit sounded like a small plane taking off. Thankfully, the staff was extremely nice, helpful and friendly... but if you need an extra blanket after a certain time, no luck. The housekeepers leave for the night.

The staff person agreed to cancel the reservation and refund our money but over a week later, still have not received the refund. Messaged the property multiple times but no response. HORRIBLE PLACE THAT STEALS YOUR MONEY - DO NOT STAY!

My husband was in the hospital for surgery, and while I stayed with him through the nights, it was so nice to have a clean, comfortable room to keep my things, shower and nap. They were very understanding that I may need to extend my stay, and offered to help in anyway. The location was convenient as well. I would recommend d the Stanford Motor Inn. The air conditioning was effective but noisy when it continually recycled. Fortunately it was cool enough that I could turn off the cooling function. It is okay if you are on a budget, however, I would pay a little more for a little better.

Matt (10/5): Stay in Palo Alto - Great stay in Palo Alto-close to the sights and parks of the area for family entertainment and then the concert at Stanford. For the overall cost, the property was great and quiet and we appreciated the drink service in the lobby area and free breakfast.
