• 678zachz (2/5): Great service…horrible rooms - Not soundproof at all. It’s incredibly loud. Be prepared to hear your neighbors as well as those outdoors each night. The service and restaurants were great but this is hands down the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

• annaf837 (2/5): Rats in the restaurant. Staff unbothered. Avoid. - Visited on 5 May 2026 for a one-night business stay. Upon arrival for check-in, I witnessed rats in the food and beverage area. Not one — multiple. I reported this immediately to reception. To their credit, they refunded my room. However, what followed was deeply concerning: I asked staff to inform other guests to allow them to make informed decisions . They didn't. A staff member told me privately the food area would be closed. It wasn't. Guests continued to sit, eat, and drink while rats were visibly present. The manager's response? "It happens. Rats come from the outside in London." No area was closed. No guests were warned. No urgency whatsoever. I chose not to check in. Four colleagues who were with me witnessed the entire incident. The building itself is stylish, the location is great — but none of that matters if it is dirty and you're sharing the bar with vermin and management shrugs it off. This is a public health issue, not an inconvenience. I would not recommend this hotel until a full investigation has been completed and standards are demonstrably improved.

• hdj49 (2/5): If you are accustomed to higher-end hotels, don’t stay here. - From the rock hard bed and pillows, to the very small and spartan bathroom; “industrial” is the correct description of this hotel. The one bright spot is that it has a decent restaurant and bar downstairs. After experiencing other hotels around London, such as The Wellesley, The Hoxton was a huge disappointment. When we requested wash cloths, the hotel staff gave a smart-alec remark that “they don’t supply them as it is not a normal thing at London hotels.” He should have stated that it is not a normal thing at low-end London hotels, which The Hoxton definitely is. If you’re a young adult on a tight budget, this hotel may appeal to you. If you are an experienced traveler, that has enjoyed impeccable service t great hotels; don’t even think about it. The rooms are not very clean, the HVAC system doesn’t work properly, and security at the property is a joke.
• DayTrip791024 (10/5): Another quality Hoxton experience - This is a wonderful little hotel with a friendly staff and very good service. Location is very convenient being a short walk to the Northern line, and a 10 minute walk to Liverpool Street station and the Bishopsgate business district.
• Kathleen (9/5): Clean and comfortable - We try to find hotels without wall to wall carpeting due to my husbands allergies. And we try to be centrally located so we can walk, use the tube and buses easily. Good coffee in the beautiful lobby was a bonus. It fit our criteria and more. Oh and we loved we could open a window for fresh air. The rooms are small but not unbearable.

Within walking distance of lots of great historical places and shops and also close to London the hotel was lovely when we stepped inside very welcoming lovely lounge area and restaurant. The rooftop Terrace was also very sought after. The rooms were very clean and tidy and very nice.
• annehunter1 (10/5): A lovely place to stay - The Hoxton is very well placed for travel from King's Cross and St Pancras. This is a lively part of London with lots of local places to eat. The hotel is super friendly and has an excellent roof top bar with great views of London. The rooms are well appointed and very good value in London.
• ambervds (10/5): 10/10 stay, the best and most welcoming staff - We had such a lovely experience at The Hoxton Shoreditch, and a huge part of that was down to the incredible team. The staff truly went above and beyond - especially Amiyah and Angelica, who made our stay feel so personal from start to finish. One of us arrived early from the airport and we were kindly accommodated with an early check-in, which made such a difference after travelling. When we got to the room, we were greeted with a thoughtful card and a lovely surprise - such a small gesture, but it genuinely made the stay feel special and memorable. Communication throughout was seamless, check-in was completely flawless, and every interaction felt warm and genuine. It’s rare to come across this level of care and attention to detail, and it really stood out. In a world that’s becoming increasingly automated, it’s these human touches that make all the difference. The team should be incredibly proud - this is exactly the kind of service that keeps people coming back. Thank you again, and I really hope Amiyah and Angelica get the recognition they deserve! • 442elspethd (10/5): Charming weekend stay - The hotel is very welcoming and comfortable. Our room was big with a fantastic shower room. Incredibly comfy bed. We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was so we were not disturbed by traffic noise. Breakfast had lots of choice, was well cooked and presented and good value for money. The staff members were friendly and helpful. Angelica , who was the duty manager during our stay, made us feel very welcome. She was warm, friendly, competent and professional. We lost a brooch when in a taxi and it was returned to the hotel by the taxi driver and Angelica packaged it properly and made it ready to be returned to us by the courier we organised. We would stay there again.

• April (7/5): Great but not perfect - Decor is wonderful, both in the room and the lobby. Shower was very hot with great pressure & the bed very comfortable. Brilliant full size mirror. Reception staff unfortunately are rude, at times we felt they were surprised we were speaking to them. When we'd booked late check out but couldn't get into the room and went to reception to gain access, the staff didn't even look at us, let alone apologise for the inconvenience. No smart TV in the room or ability to screen cast. I would expect for a hotel chain of this status to offer smart TVs with the ability to screen mirror and use streaming apps.

• Stephen (6/5): Great location, great food and service in the restaurant and the bars...just don't expect good sleep - The Lama Inn had a great menu, the staff were excellent and the food was great. It was the same experience in Bambini for breakfast. The room was exceptionally noisy. We could hear everything from the room next door and they played music into the early hours. That couple with the fact that the pillows were so soft and there were no others available that were harder to potentially swap for, meant that the quality of sleep we had during our stay was very poor
• Robert (5/5): Premium pricing for a not very relaxing stay - Modern, comfortable room. Good location if you want to be amongst the ‘vibe’ of Shoreditch. Hotel lobby is very busy with people squatting on laptops/ doing zoom calls and generally using it as a ‘shared workspace’. By Friday/ Saturday evening it’s just too much of a zoo. Sound proofing between rooms is not good enough - can hear people moving around/ TVs. Too much ambient noise.

The rooms are a good size, beds were comfy, shower good, was very quiet at night/in the morning, we were on the 5th floor. We didn't eat at the hotel so i cannot leave a review for that.

Rooms and service are first rate and location to bars and restaurants could not be better. When we arrived at check-in time, every single seat in reception was taken by someone working with a laptop. • louise (8/5): I would recommend staying at the Hoxton, the Shoreditch location is ideal for anyone who wants to soak up the vibe of ea - Loved the style and vibe of the hotel, the layout of rooms are very well designed, stylish yet functional. There was only one person behind the bar, therefore, the breakfast we had ordered, we had eaten most of before our drinks arrived. The drinks were taken off the bill, which was very much appreciated.

Downstairs enough room to sit by the fireplace and relax and in the evening there’s lots of people and music but i love the energy. • Cheryl (9/5): Lovely stay in the Hoxton - The Hoxton in Shoreditch has been recently refurbished and the rooms, bar, reception etc are beautiful. The Hoxton hotels are always stylish. This one is in a good location, not far from Liverpool St station. Reception staff weren’t the friendliest.
