Kearney (6/5): Good but does not live up to the Aloft brand promise. - Location was great for my trip. Very spacious rooms & public areas. Comfortable beds. Coffee was very good. Toiletries smell and feel luxurious. Good shower pressure. Generous bottled water replenished daily. Very good prices due to the ME conflict. Direct access to the city centre mall and short walk (through the shopping centre) to the metro. It is trying to be too trendy. Style over substance, not aging particularly well. I have stayed here a number of times over the years. The Housekeeping and Maintainance are less than they were in the past. The shower & bathroom was in need of a deep clean rather than the superficial daily cleaning schedule. Surfaces felt grubby. Toiletries, two body wash and hair conditioner but no shampoo?? in the shower. Shower holder bracket mouldy and shelf hanging loosely. The lights in the wardrobe could not be turned off. The auto switches are not engaged when the doors are closed with irritating light escaping into (desired) darkened sleep space. Not to omit it is energy wasteful. The breakfast was lacking effort. Though the basics were all covered reasonably rather than at a good four star standard. The bar is huge and soulless.

Everything was there - shops, restaurants, supermarket etc. The room was big, cozy and clean. Staff was wonderful. Always smiling. Breakfast. Not that I am complaining but more choices would have been fantastic.

Mahmood (7/5): Hotel is great. - Location is good. Hotel is clean and staffs were friendly, especially the room cleaners. We arrived at the hotel around 3.45PM. I had requested for the interconnecting room in advance but still we had to wait till 5.15PM is when the room was allocated reasoning the guest had just vacated the room and time was needed for cleaning. Hotel policy for check out is 11AMM or 12Noon then how come it took so long to for us to get the room when we had requested well in advance.

Sitting area on Level 2 was nice with great views Pool area was lovely Hotel connected to a great Shopping Mall The hotel was great but our stay was during the start of the Middle East conflict which spoilt our stay as we had three flights cancelled and the uncertainty of the situation caused a lot stress and upset.
