Guest Reviews
- Michael (7/5): Clean comfortable stay - Brilliant location and great value for money if you need a no frills place to stay. Maybe tea coffee in pod and a little fridge but for the price I see why they aren't included

- Diana (7/5): Was nice for a one night stay, won’t visit again. - The pods were cute and warm. Room had many ants. Room doesn’t come with towel service but it would be nice if it did for the price paid. I didn’t receive a code on the day of checkin as the instructions said I would. After needing to call after hours for support, I was told it was because booking.com was redacting entry codes from the emails sent. So, had I not been able to make the phone call (traveling from abroad so it was an intl call for me), I would have been out of luck in getting into a pod I paid for. Check out is at 10am and checkin is at 3pm and strangely those are the only hours they have on premise support. If you checkin after 3pm, no one is there to help if you need it. It makes no sense. Overall, it felt to be more costly than it should have been for the experience.

- Georgia (8/5): Enjoyable, comfortable and cosy. - Really lovely little cabin and very easy to get there via uber from York city centre. Easy self check-in with clear instructions and the interior was clean and well kept. Very cute little fire in our cabin which kept things cosy and a nice touch with there being hot water bottles too. The Cabin door was a little finickity and hard to close/lock at times but generally fine. Only main issue was that the toilet block was a short walk away, which was fine and as expected, however we had 2 occasions of separate people in 1 afternoon where they tried to get into our cabin thinking it was the toilets. Clearer sign posting/instructions would be helpful as they were trying to open our door and peering through the window.
We didn't drive but the car park facilities right next to the cabins were full so just a note that if its fully booked it can get full. There is parking but you just wont be able to see your car from your hut.

- Angela (7/5): Little Hide - The pod was cozy, and the cooked breakfast from the Willow Farm Shop was lovely. Instructions to get into the pod were clear. It was quite and peaceful. It needed some TLC. Broken steps into the pod, scratch marks on the walls and cobwebs on the lights.
The disabled shower room had no handrail when showering, it was unsafe. Was not impressed with the communal area, being in a shed wasn't good.
- Jessie (10/5): -
- Emma (8/5): Great stay! - Lovely quiet camping pod. Nice and warm and cosy with clean facilities Would have liked another wall socket
- Jake (10/5): Absolutely fantastic. - Everything about it was great. Can’t fault the place. Both me and my wife loved it.
- Alex (7/5): -
- Adele (5/5): - Good location, cheap in UBER to get to and from York.
Good communication from owners.
It's cheap to book, but in this case, you get what you pay for!
Toilets OK. It's very dark in hut, even with lights on.
Hut had a strong smell of urine, I didn't realise when booking , only some were dog friendly, but even so, the urine smell was strong, especially with the heat/sunny days,
The site flooded with bad rain, and gravel.very noisy when people are up and down all night for toilets
Wouldn't stay again.

- Corynn (10/5): A beautiful place - The pods are beautiful and cozy and clean. The grounds are well maintained, the facilities are beautifully clean and close enough that a shared bathroom is not inconvenient.
- JULIE (8/5): Nice but smaller than expected - Clean and comfortable with good transport into York. Showers and toilets further than expected. Would have been better if area in front of pod had some kind of fence so dog could sit outside.
- Simon (10/5): -
- Zoe (10/5): Really lovely little place to stay, still close to the town center, about 20 mins by car. - Really happy with this little cabin, super comfortable and had everything we needed for a nights stay. Lots of extra blankets and places to sit. Lots bigger than I expected! Lovely seating outside bonus! I didn’t know where the loos were. The signs could have been better or even a note in the booking or ok the website. But they were very clean and so were the showers.
- Summer (9/5): -
- Lily-Beth (10/5): -
- Amee (8/5): - So comfy and cosy
- Ian (9/5): - The hut was very clean and presented nice
- Hannah (6/5): Fabulous holiday! - Location, heating in the pod was excellent, nice site and cafe, friendly staff. Bedding was cosy, toilets were well heated and clean. Lots of wildlife around the site. No cutlery is provided, you get one teaspoon per pod. The kitchen is just a shed with a fridge, toaster and microwave. There is only a kettle in the pod. We bought milk to make tea and that got stolen within a couple of days. The site advertises being dog friendly, but there is nowhere to wash a pup, you arent allowed to take them in the showers and there is nowhere to tether them while you shower either, you arent permitted to leave your dog in the pod, so this would not be a suitable place for just one person and a dog. The pod itself is quite roomy, but there were no coat hooks and very little storage space, so it feels a bit cluttered but is otherwise really nice.
- Christopher (10/5): - The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the attention to detail—fresh linens, a comfortable bed, and a quiet atmosphere that made it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep.
The facilities were excellent, and everything was well-maintained. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, transport links, and dining options.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Great service, clean and comfortable rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere—I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant and stress-free stay.
- Sam (8/5): -
- Gemma (10/5): Cosy, comfortable stay. - Great value for money just 15 minutes from York. Really comfy and cosy. Lovely facilities, toilets and showers very clean and rooms were perfect with the heater and kettle making for a comfortable stay. Couldn’t fault the place Nothing!
- Lara (10/5): Perfect - Staff from start to finish were amazing at helping me sort hen party accommodation, domestic staff lovely on site
Comfortable, cosy , relaxing just what I’d been looking for
Cafe on site food was amazing homemade and super tasty Nothing we didn’t like definitely be returning
- Emmie (9/5): -
- Simone (10/5): - Very tidy and in beautiful location Ants all over
- Samantha (8/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Lovely stay in something different. - We stopped here for only one night after an afternoon engagement party as it was very close and a great price. The pod was lovely and cosy. The small cluster of pods was very pretty. The bedding was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. More spacious than I was expecting. Would highly recommend for something different and much better than a tent. There was only one toilet to use as the other toilet's light was strobing so unable to use. But it wasn't to much of a problem, I didn't need to wait.
- Nidhin (10/5): -
- Jack (10/5): - Bed was very comfy Walking to the toilet
- Talyssa (9/5): -
- Komal (7/5): It was a fine stay - The location was great, and staying in a hideout with basic necessities is always a good experience.” he toilets were a bit far, and the posh camping pod should have had at least an en-suite, especially considering the higher price compared to the regular ones. The BBQ timing was limited to 12, which seemed unfair. At times, it felt inconsistent some rules suggested it was a camping experience with limited facilities, while others stated that after 12 o’clock you couldn’t use the outdoor fire area.”
- Jeanette (10/5): - Quiet and peaceful stay. Extremely clean and comfortable. Lovely bedding. Fantastic cafe. Simply top class. It was perfect

- Bridget (3/5): Honestly not that great - Location near centre of York great Very noisy neighbours - woke us up shouting for hours in a drunken state at 3am
- SteffM (8/5): Fantastic site - Perfect pod offering all the comfort from mattress right down to hot water bottles. Fantastic location and it's just as lovely, as it was, the first time we came, many years ago. Super clean, great size and a heater that warms you up in seconds! Thank you! Other than someone who stayed in a pod behind, who was loud / kept walking to and from their car at 3am, which meant sleep was disrupted a lot (even with loops/headphones), everything was perfect!
- Fiona (8/5): Comfortable pod and clean facilities - Pod is comfortable and clean. Toilets and showers were a short walk away and were clean and had plenty hot water. Having the fridge shack was very useful. Bus stop at end of driveway handy for trip into York. As toilet facilities are shared with caravan park I can imagine that it would be busy in peak holiday times and might mean queuing for washing up (only 1 sink) etc. Could do with a light above sofa for reading rather than just the 2 at bedhead.
- Sandra (8/5): - Lovely site, although road leading to pod was uneven. Very nice cafe, dog friendly. Pod very comfortable and warm. Noise from a truck moving a minibus that had got stuck on grass by car park aprox 11.30 pm. Got bus into York for day out. However bus back to site finished around 7. We had to walk from wigginton village along busy main road (no pavement) in pitch black because no buses or taxis available. Next day we used the park and ride which was a lot better.
- Catherine (8/5): Cheap cosy dog friendly pods - nice quiet venue All fine

- April (10/5): Clean, modern pod in a great location to enjoy York - Pod was clean, had a good amount of space and a helpful selection of items like coffee cups, a water bottle and a little heater. Despite being near other pods it felt very private and peaceful and was really cosy in the cold weather I don't do camping so this was a nice halfway house. I'm looking forward to coming again in the future.
- Jennifer (10/5): Wonderful relaxing stay, close to York. - Key box on the door. Although booking.com stripped out this detail from information emails, the host responded immediately and advised code. The pod was lovely, comfortable bed and had everything we needed. Cafe has amazing food and really friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.
- Marcus (10/5): -
- Bobbiejo (10/5): Amazing we will definitely be back - Very peaceful & relaxing
so quiet
very clean!
we loved it The fact we couldn't stay longer
- Joanne (6/5): -
- Molly (10/5): -
- Liam (8/5): -
- Alison (10/5): - It was exactly as described. It was warm and cosy with the heater.
- Andrejus (1/5): -
- Clare (10/5): Loved it! - Everything it was so lovely would highly recommend Nothing but because it was winder it was just a little dark near the door end as lights are the other end but minor and I would definitely stay again.
- Karen (10/5): - The pods were cosy and very clean. Love the extras such as the heater, waterbottles and kettle. Brilliant location (15mins from York) and close to multiple shops and food places. Dog friendly and the shower and toilets were very clean. 100% recommended and coming back here N/a
- Pahuja (8/5): I like the stay and entire experience. - Property was clean and quiet. Toilets were clean. I was not able to find out code and staff was helpful. I wish kitchen area had better arrangements. It is nice to sit out and eat. But during windy or rainy situations guests are forced to sit inside the pod and eat which isn’t quite helpful.
- Clare (9/5): Overnight stay for local birthday party - Lovely little pod. Warm and cosy. N/a
- Jason (10/5): Love it here - Everything Nothing
- Cheryl (10/5): Great getaway with a pooch! - Lovely Pod. Well furnished and alot thought about detail. Loved the hot water bottle in there.
- Simon (6/5): - Noisy electric heater.
- Mark (10/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): A wonderful stay, great value for money, highly recommend. - Lovely little spot, well equipped with everything you’ll need. Really helpful staff, will definitely be returning. Nothing.
- Chloe (7/5): Good for a night away - The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were warm and clean. It’s a shame you have to be in a Posh Pod to receive a sachet of instant coffee or tea. The road into the accommodation is really bad for the cars.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Lovely place very comfortable and clean and close to the town centre just a short drive in the car
- Stephanie (10/5): Lovely stay for a cosy night away - A gorgeous little camping property. Really well layered out facilities and they had thought about everything. The pods are really comfortable and warm and even though I was technically in a dog-friendly pod there was absolutely no signs that dogs may have stayed there in the past - very clean and tidy! The bathrooms were a short walk away and were clean, tidy and heated. I stayed by myself and felt very safe.

- Jackie (8/5): A very pleasant stay. - Clear instructions, clean pod and grounds. Door lock on Posh Pod Dove was difficult to open with the key on several occasions. The lock on one of the wet rooms was faulty.
