• San (5/5): Incredible views but not so great facilities and breakfast. - The views were beautiful. The mountains and bay was clearly visible from the room we stayed in and it was spectacular. The room was neat and clean. It is a relatively close drive to restaurants, the harbour and beach (about 5 mins). There is also the Mainstream Shopping Mall which is an 8-10 minute drive away. Parking space was awkward, it wasn't really a parking, just an entrance way that was very tight but fortunately we had a small car that just made it in. The pool was not clean and the breakfast was sad.

• Spocky62 (1/5): - Nach unserer Rückkehr nach Deutschland mussten wir feststellen, dass meiner Frau und mir ein Teil unseres Geldes aus unseren Geldbörsen fehlte. Unsere Euroscheine lagen die ganze Zeit im Tresor, der mit einem Schlüssel aufzumachen war. Wir hatten das Zimmer immer abgeschlossen! Nach unserer Ankunft in Deutschland haben wir uns beim Vermieter sofort beschwert, dass uns Geld fehlt. Dieser erwiderte, dass das in seinem Gästehaus nicht vorkommt!, obwohl eine Bewertung aus 2025 (Febr.) einen ähnlichen Sachverhalt aufwies. Achtung: Nie Geld im Zimmer und Tresor liegen lassen!!!

The property was beautiful, clean, and the overall stay was enjoyable. I loved almost everything about the property. The only issue was that the bed was extremely uncomfortable and very hard. In addition, at breakfast there were very limited options available for halaal guests. Most of the cold meat selection catered only for non-halaal guests, which made the breakfast choices quite restricted.

• Choon Guek (7/5): Staff members are lovely, comfortable bed and enjoyed breakfast! - Close to the harbor, the breakfast, the spacious room Coms - didn’t acknowledge my message/requests before I check in and cot only being prepared when I arrive, but it is okay, still resolved it for me. Overlooking squatter area but nothing wrong with it, just sharing our thoughts. Only have wine fridge inside room, and fridges in communal area doesn’t seem like it’s a shared facility and no room for anything extra.

• Pia (6/5): - Sehr grosse Zimmer Schöne Aussicht auf das Meer Sehr hellhörig, man bekommt ab 7 Uhr morgens alles mit. Frühstück wird nicht nachgelegt. Wir sind um 8.30 uhr frühstücken gegangen und sowohl das Obst als auch Wurst waren bereits vergriffen und wurden auch nicht nachgelegt. Insgesamt ist das Frühstücksangebot relativ klein.

Like the idea of an open kitchen so we could heat up the pasta dish. Very quite at night. TV now on streaming, couldn't get it to work. Seems more catered for overseas folk. Parking not good on site. Wife tripped on the uneven gate rail, cut her toe and hand and grazed the knee which affected her Two Oceans race. No green tea available.

Obwohl gebucht, hatten wir eine alte Klimaanlage, die nicht funktionierte. Der Grund für einen Auszug nach einer Nacht. Die Abwicklung der Stornierung von drei bezahlten Tagen verlief professionell. Die Lage. Man wohnt in einem Township nahen Bereich. Laute Musik und sehr! Viele laute Hunde durch die Nacht. Fühlten uns nicht sicher (5.Reise durch SA). Die Einrichtung ist in die Jahre gekommen. Tresor zum mitnehmen, nicht fixiert.

Die Townships am Rande haben gar nicht gestört! Sie sind zwar zu sehen, aber man hat mit ihnen nichts zu tun. Entgegen der negativen Bewertungen haben wir uns sehr sicher gefühlt, obwohl wir etwas skeptisch waren mit Baby. Alle haben nett gegrüßt und die Musik die ab und zu zu hören war, war toll und nicht laut und störend. Wir würden immer wieder hierher kommen! - Keine Ablage für die Koffer.

• Shane (10/5): Beautiful view. Green breakfast . Always full in Sumner. - Always great to be back here.. I often stay in off season for month or two in one of the incredible Hout Bay view rooms . But I fount a free night this summer ! The Rooms are super. Big beds, side lights, fresh sheets , nice shower and towels. Jeremiah and his team as always look after everyone and make incredible breakfasts to your tastes . Plus weetabix , yoghurts, and cereals / cheeses to start with on the sides . Then cooked breakfast.. !!!!! All good. Be careful of pool view room - can be noisy in morning while breakfast being prepared . But was grateful to have any room in summer honestly .

Running up and down the stairs screeming shouting, when its passed 10pm. I reached out to Bianca, she just ignored me. Not to talk about the bedding, it was dirty. I didnt feel comfortable to sleep. Breakfast time was so busy, when we got our food, the mushrooms were missing, on the menu it states mushrooms incl. There wasn't any jogurt, we had to ask for it. Not very organized.

We only stay for one night, but will not recommend it for a holiday stay

• DIANNA (8/5): - The place is nice and staff is decent. Booking.com showed that a one way airport drop off or pick up and late check out was included and it was not. Also staff will sometimes leave the guest house unattended.

• Susanne (6/5): - This place with a great view over the bay is unfortunately in desperate need of a handyman and a good cleaning person. Thorn bed sheets, loose door handles and half thorn out electrical sockets. Dirty spots on the walls and around the light switches. We had a room on the ground floor and could hear every single step of the guests (and the child) above our heads, including the TV and the ceiling fan. Other than that we would say it’s ok for one night, not more, but definitely NOT worth the high price.

• Toon (7/5): Great views but improvement in accommodation possible. - Amazing view and friendly staff who did a necessary laundry in Christmas time. We were in Christmas time and it was not so clean, like under the bed no one seems to look. Also you wake up between 6 and 7 am because there are no curtains equipped to hold back the bright sunlight. We would like to sleep at least 1 hour more and curtains that help with that. Also there was a lot of wind when we were there, which might be part of the Bay Area.

Was a bit surprised by the location , we asked a security company that said it was ok there but it just felt scary, because we were not prepared to drive through the township to get to the accommodation. We Got woken by the dogs and loud music from the township at 5 am and they decided to paint the same day we arrived …
