• Vijayalaxmi (8/5): The Elysian resort is a quiet and comfortable place to rest and recuperate. - The garden pictures on the website attracted me to book in Elysian Resort. They have a gorgeous garden out front but at the back where the rooms are located, it is rather basic. So the garden view is not actually what one imagines it might be. Still the property is big. They gave me a choice of rooms because the allotted room did not have any garden view or balcony as mentioned in the reservation. Some rooms do not have a functional water jet spray/bidet arrangement in the bathroom. The one I stayed in was also not functioning well. Apart from this, everything about the room was great. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Maxine for making our stay very pleasant. I felt that the mattress should be replaced as it had started sagging.

The service in the restaurant is extremely slow an inattentive, although the food is okay. It takes more than an hour to get dinner even when we were the only guests in the restaurant. The common areas of the hotel are very worn down. The pool is dirty and I would not take the chance swimming in the pool. Most of the equipment in the gym room is out of order.

• cmweru2002 (2/5): Not suitable for special needs children, poor service - I visited with my family. Very poor service from the reception. We had carried a bottle of water for my 6 year old child. At the reception, we were advised that they did not allow drinks from outside. We had just carried the water mixed with Himalayan salt, nothing else. My daughter is a special needs child, with autism. If you Google about autism, you’ll see that they are possessive on stuff and any routine change stresses them. My daughter can only drink water from her green bottle, and water mixed with Himalayan salt for detox purposes. The receptionists refused to understand. I asked them to then pour the water so we can have access, one of them was so fast to rush to pour it out, I changed my mind about staying (decided to leave) and asked them not to pour, she still went ahead and poured the water. I left the hotel disgruntled and my daughter being autistic, was very upset and cried as she couldn’t understand why we left, yet she was looking forward to the bouncing castle. As we were approaching the gate, one of the receptionist came to give us bottle of water but I couldn’t accept it after such mistreatment and the child couldn’t have taken it anyway. I understand that food and drinks from outside are forbidden but what happens if one has a special needs child? Clearly, it’s not an all inclusive and do not visit if you have a special needs child. Almost forgot, when I explained to them that the water bottle was for the child, the lady at the reception rudely answered ‘what child’? Does my 6 year old look like an adult? I’ve never come across such act of inhumanity. They really looked down upon us. But anyway, one may not understand if they do not have a special needs child.

• finetimez (10/5): Nairobi surprise - I call this a surprise, because the quality of this hotel is very high, and yet the cost is quite economical. My daughter and I stayed here for three nights. We found all of the staff to be helpful, multiple restaurant meals were quite tasty, and the grounds were pretty and expansive. In addition, the decor in the rooms was distinctive, and the bathroom was large. The location is also good, in the northern suburb of Runda. I would definitely stay here again, if I ever return to Nairobi.

• Himesh (8/5): small hotel with few rooms away from hustle bustle of the City. 24 hour restaurant is a bonus - - Good quiet location away from city noise yet not very far from Nairobi city. - Resort is well maintained , clean and comfortable offering a pleasant stay. - 24 hour restaurant/coffee shop is a bonus especially if travelling at odd hours Event and Conferencing facilities intergrated within the Resorts grounds can create a distraction and event activities might hinder with your stay.

The staff were kind and ready to assist like John from the restaurant, all the receptionists on duty during my stay and the gentlemen doing the room cleaning. The resort was well kept and rooms extremely clean. I can't rave enough about the food. It was excellent. Thank you for the great experience. I look forward to going back again.

• 430jeniffern (2/5): worst restaurant ever - we arrived it looked like a promising place.it had a swimming pool and a big play ground. we played with my sister for about 35mins. we came back to my parents and lo and behold, NO WAITER FOR 35 MINUTES. i was honestly surprised that i was sent to call over a waiter manually. she came gave the order to another waitress and we waited. 1hr 30mins passed no food or drink. later after 30mins or so we got the news that our order hadn't even been placed. we left and went to galitos. ELYSIAN IS THE WORSTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! don't recomend.

• Saeed (9/5): Superb - The solitude of the place with a very warm staff was an unforgettable experience. The green lawns and ambience was really welcoming and calming at the same time . Slight issues with maintenance of the rooms were seen but were rectified on pointing out . There was not a significant drawback overall .
