Guest Reviews
- Katharine (9/5): Stunning Salerno Studio - The location in old town, ease of getting around from the apartment, the light in the morning, the decor. Only the climb up 3 flights if stairs but having said that the beautiful steps, the beautiful open arch windows and view of the bell tower are not to be missed
- Alexandra (10/5): Great stay in Salerno - We had a great stay at Vicolo dei Sartori. The location is excellent, right in the historic center—about a 20-minute walk from both the train station and the port. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, which made everything very convenient. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped with all the essentials. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and pillows, as well as the large bathroom. Although there isn’t a full kitchen, there is a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and basic cutlery and glasses, which were perfectly adequate for a quick breakfast. One thing to keep in mind is that the apartment is on the third floor and there’s no elevator. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, and I would happily recommend it.
- Olena (10/5): Highly recommended place. Very cosy, great view, very clean and stylish - Location, refurbishment and the host It was perfect

- Izabela (10/5): - The room and the bathroom were very spacious. Location is amazing, in the middle of the old part of the city, but quiet. Lots of restaurants and bars around. 5 min walk to the beach. 15-20 min walk to the train/bus/ferry station. The host was very friendly, responsive and even welcome us in person. This room is on the third floor, no elevator. For us - no problem.

- Leo (10/5): Spacious, nice, calm, comfortable and romantic suite in historical heart of ancient Salerno! - To say it is situated in a old town of Salerno is to say nothing - it is situated in the very heart of historical core of that city! And it is absolutely quite, very comfortable . It is not just a room, but a space for you to feel like at home. Literally 2 minutes walk to the sea promenade as well! The only thing is that the apprtment is in the fourth floor and it might be difficult to carry herva luggage upstairs ( for elderly people). We managed it easily though ( strong man of 56 years old).
And Mimmo, our host, went an extra mile to help us get forgotten sunglasses in a shop nearby and ship those to our home location. Mille Grazie, Mimmo!

- Naima (9/5): - Posizione comoda, molto accogliente
- antonio (10/5): - Muito boa localização, o quarto melhor que nas fotos.
- emily (10/5): lovely stay in the old town - Position in the old town and very modern in an old building
- Pasquale (9/5): Nice apartment in a great location. Mimo was extremely helpful and ensured everything was taken care of. He even booked - Great location and tastefully updated. Lots of stairs!
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional -
- Terence (8/5): Great stay; could be better with a few small changes - Great location ; lovely spacious bedroom and bathroom Insufficient crockery and cutlery for an apartment. No kettle, iron or drying rack. No wine on arrival. Three flights of stairs to navigate with suitcases. Squeaky bed.
- Thomas (10/5): Excellent location in the center of a beautiful city. Large and wonderful Accommodation. - Didn't have breakfast, the location at the center of Salerno was excellent. Close to restaurants, shops and ferries. Simply ideal. Mimmo, our host was very friendly and extremely helpful. Can only recommend the large and clean accommodation, my partner and me loved it. By the way, Salerno is worth a visit. I really love Salerno.
- Boldred (9/5): luxury haven after a day of sight seeing - Location is great, really central and only 20 min walk/5min bus ride from the train station. Mimmo is a great host and helps out where possible. The apartment is spacious with a gem: a big bath room with a large well functioning walk in shower! The fridge and microwave are great, especially if you're traveling with a kid. The bed is real comfy. The bedroom has a nice French balcony. Even with both doors (double glazing) open we didn't experience any noise at night. Salerno is a breath of fresh air if you want to explore the Amalfi coast (where you're in a tourist sardine can). The Sita bus stop to Amalfi coast is a 5 min walk, the ferry 20min. And yes the Path of the God's is a beautiful hike. Nothing! if I do have to mention something, what could be handy for those who want to eat in is a tea towel and perhaps a bit of dishwashing liquid. Can't think of anything else.
- Jing (10/5): Exceptional - The location is very good, very close to the beach and very good food around.
The room was spacious, it was a single apartment with lots of space, the bedroom was large, everywhere was clean and well equipped, which made it very relaxing. The landlord was very friendly and check-in was very convenient, it was a very good choice to choose this B&B. Everything is good
- Junwen (9/5): Very good! Wish I could stay for a bit longer - The room was bright and clean. A comfortable shower that separates the dry and wet sections. The host was very friendly. He replied to messages quickly and helped us with our luggages. Great location with a variety of dining options. The hair dryer wasn't working very well. The coffee was bad (but what can I expect from coffee capsule anyway)
- Ivana (9/5): Superb -
- Erika (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the location in the old town. The host is really nice and helpful. The apartment is clean and spacious. We would like to come back soon. Thanks a lot!
- Nastase (9/5): Superb - Everything is great: position, big room, it's quite an apartment, the bathroom is big, the silence. Very nice and cosy and we had everything we needed: cosmentics, towels, iron machine. Very good! The locations is upstairs
- Helen (8/5): Clean, quiet and comfortable - It was spacious quiet and clean It is called bed and breakfast but there’s no breakfast!
- Nicolas (10/5): Exceptional - In the center of Salerno. Very calm and quiet area
- Amanda (9/5): Great base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and archaeological sites - The location was great, right in the historic centre, with easy access to the promenade and a level walk to the station and ferry port
The apartment was in a traditional building but had been tastefully modernised to a high standard. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was lovely, with toiletries provided. The host was friendly, gave us suggestions for places to eat and messaged during our stay to check everything was OK. There was a coffee machine, fridge and microwave so we could have hot or cold drinks There was nothing we didn't like. The facilities would be even better if some plates and cutlery were provided for eating snacks.
- Debbie (8/5): Very good - Beautiful open space and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was perfect. A little noisy at night and air conditioning wasn't working on second night.
- Lucila (10/5): A hundred percent yes. Comfortable, cozy, and stunningly beautiful. - We loved the place, so spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was stunning, and the decoration was gorgeous. It was an instant yes. And Mimmo, the host, was beyond kind and friendly. If we go back to Salerno, we'll definitely come back to this b&b.
- Voineagu (10/5): Great accommodation, amazing host. - The property is very clean, the host was very friendly and polite and helped us with a lot of information. Fast responsive and made us the experience even better. For some people the property might be far away from the port (Salerno Concordia). Not a big deal but in the peak summer time it will not the easiest walk.
- Samuel (9/5): Great place in the heart of Salerno - The room was great, bigger than I expected, everything in the room is new, the bed is super comfortable I loved this place It is in a third floor and there is no elevator because it is an old building so keep that in mind if you are traveling with big suitcases
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, spacious, and quiet. The property was lovely. I was not prepared for the 62 steps up to the apartment from the far end of the road from the train station.
- Björn (10/5): Recommending! - Everything great! Nothing
- Michalis (9/5): Superb - Very good and comfortable room, excellent location. The host is very helpful, very gentle, and always on call. His food recommendations are excellent. No elevator, but this suits the traditional character of the building.
- Lucas (9/5): Lovely stay in the historic center - Really nice place, amazing and comfortable bed. Big and spacious bathroom with an amazing shower. We had an early check in (extra price for this) which was much needed because of a heavy rain day in Salerno. Host was very attentive and sent us some restaurant recommendations. We were aware that there were many steps, but it is quite tiresome at the end of the day :)
- Freeman (10/5): We loved this place and Salerno for the location between the Amalfi coast and access to Cilento. - Location and size. The host was super helpful.
- Matthew (9/5): Great stay, clean, comfy room. - Nice and clean, comfy, and good location. Host was a Great help with places to eat and how to get the boat taxis. No issues. Just to be aware it is up a few flights of steps but no problems for our stay.
- Caroline (10/5): Beautiful central apartment - Mimmo is an amazing host and gave us many tips what to visit in the area. The apartment is really beautiful and spacious in the historical centre of Salerno a few minutes from the beach. We will definitely return 😊 -
- Teresa (10/5): Mimmo was welcoming and always checked in on us. He gave us some wonderful recommendations for dinner. - The property is beautiful, walking distance to restaurants and the port, and tastefully done. Nothing
- Jan (9/5): Nicest place in campania so far - Beautifully designed flat in old town, quite and modern Second foldable bed had nice comfy mattress, but in was in a hallway, more for a kids or one adult. Main bed was huge and large, mattress a bit too soft but that’s personal prefference
- Pina (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - B&B was close to the ocean front, restaurants. Short walk to most everything we wanted to see.
The host was helpful and available when I had questions. The room is a good size, clean, and looks newly renovated. The only confusion was about the second bed. I knew that their was a second pullout and was expecting to use it as I was traveling with my son. There were no sheets for it, and we were charged an extra $50 euros to have that bed made up. Perhaps my mistake. I should have mentioned that at the start.
All in all, it is a beautiful space. Clean and well situated.
- Jenni (9/5): A comfortable and spacious room in a great location with a very accommodating host. - The apartment was located in the old part of town and within walking distance to everything we needed. The room was spacious and comfortable There are 60 steps up the the apartment. This did not worry us but one just needs to be aware. Good exercise. 😀
When we requested glasses for water, bowls and sppons these were quickly provided.
- Brent (7/5): Good - Amenities of the property worked well. Shower, Air con, bed, coffee, no problem. Location has many shops and cafe nearby. Vicinity to the water is nice. Property was listed as having a balcony and English speaking staff. Both of those statements were barely true by the slightest technicality. Feel misled by the advertising.
- Marina (8/5): excellent value for money and very attentive host - very good attention from the owner and a lovely property good central location however was noisy at night with the windows open
- Tadeusz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jurgita (9/5): Awesome - The location of the accommodation was fantastic, with main attractions just a 5-10 minute walk away. The place itself was quiet and cozy. The owner was extremely helpful and gave us recommendations for great places to eat in the area. When we requested an extra blanket, owner went above and beyond by providing us with three, which was a nice gesture. The owner also stocked the place with essentials such as water, shower gel, shampoo, and even small extras like a comb, which was a thoughtful touch. As a curly-haired girl, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hairdryer even had a diffuser. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with many bonus features and attentive hospitality from the owner. It's worth mentioning that the owner lives nearby, it's important to note that THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE ASPECT. However, it just for some people who might find it slightly awkward.
The owner respected our privacy and ensured we felt warmly welcomed. He was not intrusive. He even offered to have dinner with him, although we were busy exploring the city.
- Juliette (10/5): Great! - Very clean, perfect central location, a lot of good restaurants in the area. Host was very responsive, helpful & nice! Maybe add a water boiler to the “kitchen” amenities
- Nicolette (8/5): A good location to enjoy the historic center of Salerno - It is a nice apartment in a good location. Salerno has a lovely narrow-streeted historical center with a beautiful sea promenade and good restaurants; an old-world, but not touristy feel. This apartment was well located to take advantage of that. The bed was too soft for me, but the pull-out coach was very comfortable so I was slept well. It was a little off the main street, so was quiet at night. It was hard to communicate with our host in English. He was lovely on the phone and tried to explain the parking and how to enter the apartment in detail, but I had some trouble understanding at first. His assistant who met us to take us to the apartment was not helpful! There was no breakfast.
- Boran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fatih (9/5): Superb - Good location, clean and comfortable. The host is flexible and helpful. Not too far from the train station either. Easy to get to all the restaurants or the boardwalk. Not a huge deal for us but there is no elevator and the stairs are kinda steep. The unit is on the 4th floor so if you have any issues with climbing up stairs or carrying your suitcases, it could be a problem.
- Simon (10/5): Perfect place to explore this part of italy - The accommodation is located in the heart of the old town, perfectly placed to explore all the alleyways and shops. There is a very nice seafront promenade, good for walks. People are friendly and authentic, Salerno is less touristy than Sorrento and all the better for it. Can get to many other places for visits, like Naples, Pompeii etc. We had a lovely holiday and would highly recommend to anyone looking for the real Italy.
- Eunbee (10/5): I loved staying here!!! - My husband and I are on our honeymoon, but our budget is a bit tight since we are travelling for two full weeks and having to travel to different cities. We chose this place to visit Amalfi and Ravello since the pier is nearby, and its near the city center as well.
The apartment is so beautifully furnished with modern decor. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and the high ceilings opened up the space even more. I loved staying here ! There were shampoos and bodywash, and a dental kit in the bathroom which I didnt expect 👍
Towels and bedsheets smelled so fresh of laundry detergent.
Everything was so very clean.
The host gave us extremely good recommendations for nearby restaurants. We went to two of the recommended places and loved both. The stairs were hard to climb with huge suitecases, but the host so thankfully helped out with mine 😅. But so definately worth the climb, the room is amazing!
- Michael (9/5): I would stay here again. - Location is in the middle of the old city, close to everywhere we wanted to be except perhaps the port, which is about a 15 minute or so walk. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The location was quiet at night for sleeping. The host was responsive and helpful. The bathroom was large and the nice rain shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. I couldn't get the wine fridge to work, may be operator error though. The location is a little hard to find, and a PDF map or a Google Maps location URL with it clearly marked would be helpful if it had been sent via email before arrival. A few more hangars in the wardrobe would have been great. These are all, however, very small issues.
- Christine (9/5): Superb - B&B Vicolo dei Sartori was a great place to stay. It's in the historic area and close to the sea, shopping, restaurants, and bars. Communication with Domenico was great, and he was helpful in arranging a taxi back to the station for us. He also told us about restaurants and places to see while there. He's a great host. This was NOT a negative for us, but make sure you know that there are steps you have to climb to get to the B&B. If you have mobility issues, it might be a problem. It was all good.
- Leonardo (10/5): Best Stay at Salerno - The hospitality of the host Mimo, and cleanness of the room. Close to everything, restaurants, bus stops and a charming neighborhood.
- Ashley (10/5): Very comfortable and a great location. - Domenico was so kind and accommodating. He gave us lots of recommendations, helped us with the website to order ferry tickets, and gave us a lovely bottle of wine. The apartment had just about everything and the bed was SUPER comfortable!
- Marco (9/5): Superb -
