Guest Reviews
- Jason (10/5): Wonderful Anniversary Weekend getaway - Incredibly comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Daylesford Spa Villa 5 was a wonderful anniversary weekend getaway.
Conveniently close to the centre of Daylesford, you wouldn't realise it given how quiet it was. Nothing - it was fantastic.
- Amanda (10/5): -
- Bergerac1 (9/5): - Comfortable bed with plenty of storage space for clothes. Well equipped kitchen with good appliances. Nespresso machine is a nice touch.
Easy access and parking at the front of the unit.
Good clear communication by Dayget the agent.
Lovely view down the valley. Very little to dislike. Perhaps another power outlet in the kitchen and a few blankets for those like us that don't require doonas even in cold climates.

- Andrew (8/5): -
- Douglas (10/5): Very comfortable place to spend a few days. - The property is very comfortable. It has excellent wifi and the ability to connect to streaming services.
The kitchen is very modern with easy to use appliances.
The property is positioned among other properties so that it is completely shielded from the other properties ensuring privacy. While the property is only 1.5km from town, it is very difficult to walk (especially at night), as the path is quite steep and dark.
- Terence (10/5): We were very impressed and delighted with the property and hope to stay again soon. - The property was beautifully presented, immaculate and had everything a guest could possibly need.
Thank you making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.
We will be visiting again as soon as we can, and will thoroughly recommend your property to family and friends We could not fault a single thing!
- Simone (8/5): Lovely secluded property with plenty of amenities for a relaxing stay. - Great location, quiet and yet close to town.
Beautiful green outlook from every window. Lovely cosy rooms, fantastic spa bath, good kitchen and very private. The Daylesford gift hamper was a very nice surprise. Minor things such as not having a blanket for the bed as an alternative to the quilt which was way too hot. Also would be nice to have a coffee capsule machine as we brought some pods with us.
- Janice (8/5): Comfortable & enjoyable - The layout & decor Thought would be closer to town centre
- Rachel (10/5): Quiet, relaxing, and self contained. Perfect for a quick getaway. -
- Brian (10/5): Magnificent and we will be back and I have already recommended it to family and friends - Na Na

- Zya (8/5): - The property was comfortable, quiet and a close walk to town. The gas fire place in the centre is charming and the spa bath was a lovely bonus. The only thing I didnt like were the pillows on the bed, they were very high and uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping with a cushion.
- Charlie (10/5): -
- Kylie (9/5): - I had a wonderful stay here! The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything I could have needed. The huge spa bath was an amazing bonus, and the bed was super comfortable — I slept so well. The location was also fantastic, just a few minutes from town, making it easy to explore Daylesford. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!
- Diane (8/5): Comfortable and sweet - The location was close to town and quiet. The views were serene and natural and beautiful. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The furniture was outdated and the couch was stained/dirty. There were structural and design issues (cracks on the ceiling, mould in the corner of the room, shower was so close to the door that the water sprayed everywhere as it didn’t have a shower door). Although it didn’t entirely impact our stay, it just made it a little tiny ick.
- Peter (10/5): Delightful accommodation with great view over Drs Gully. - Well appointed kitchen, comfortable bed and pillows, amazing spa bath and spectacular view down Doctors gully to the kangaroos! Nothing
- Nicole (10/5): A wonderful short stay - The property was perfect for a relaxing get away. Our stay was at the end of winter so we enjoyed the coziness of…
Reverse cycle air con (x2), gas heated fireplace and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Huge comfy bed with a variety of pillows including memory foam. Fully equipped kitchen. Medium sized fridge. The property could benefit from updating and upgrading the toiletries.
- Alicia (10/5): This stay was just what we needed so relaxing and everything you need at your fingers tips.cant wait to come back loved - Where the property was located was just magical. My partner and would have loved to stay longer. N/A
- Adrea (9/5): - The wifi was really fast, the bath was big and warm, the fire was cozy, and there were always kangaroos grazing out the back Nothing :)
- Linda (10/5): Memorable and can’t wait to do it again - It was quiet relaxing and very comfy Our stay was too short!
- Nancy (10/5): Very happy. - Everything it was a lovely property and great stay very happy.
- Su-fen (9/5): Absolutely worth the stay! - Absolutely fabulous!
For our first time to Daylesford - we couldn't have asked for better accommodation. It was centrally located in Daylesford and was within walking distance to town ( though, with the poor weather, we drove everywhere). Collection of keys was easy - from a lockbox using a code provided to us. Easy parking right at the front of the villa.
The first look at the villa was breathtaking - the views were beautiful ( we spotted a kangaroo!) and there was a welcome box with coffee/ tea/ sparkling water/ pretzels/ nuts etc awaiting us as well. Someone has left the heater on which was great as it was very cold in Daylesford.
All facilities were as the photos promised - beautiful, luxurious etc. And the bed! Can I mention the bed and the snuggly doona and pillows and heated blanket? It was heaven! I had the best sleeeep in that bed! I should have read the listing better - but there wasn't any WiFi available in the villa. Not a big deal as we had our phones & the unplanned 'tech detox' did wonders for us anyway.
- Genevieve (9/5): Perfect place to escape to - Quiet location, lovely views across the park with kangaroos laying in the sunshine. Bed is very comfortable, great underfloor heating in the bathroom which is handy for the cold weather.
You Don look into other units so feel very private. Nothing
- Wendy (9/5): -
- Larry (9/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): A few days alone to recharge, go hiking and read all day - Lovely villa! Very comfortable and cozy on a freezing few days. The huge windows offering great views, the wildlife out the back all day, comfortable bed, spa, spacious villa that was not at all cramped and cluttered and was extremely clean…all within a five minute walk of restaurants and wine bars. Having to leave 😩
- Geoffrey (10/5): - Excellent location overlooking valley and kangaroos grazing
Easy walk to main street
Very comfortable with gas fire adding warmth and ambience Nothing
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (10/5): We had a great time and would be very happy to stay in the villa again. - Comfort and amenities of the villa. Quietness on the property. Easy walk to Daylesford Lake and the shops and cafes. Extended check-out given to us because of maintenance work being done on property - cutting down blackberry bushes behind our villa. A couple of items were missed in the cleaning of the villa before our arrival. However, when notified, the agent sent the house cleaner back to clean the grill in the oven. My husband cleaned the BBQ plate before we could use it. (i have Coeliac Disease)
- Russell (8/5): Very well presented - Everything need for our stay was provided including a welcome pack The aircon in the kitchen wasn’t working.
- Sarah-jane (10/5): Exceptional - Fabulous stay at this villa 4,
Comfortable bed, and when the iron broke, it was replaced by staff very very quickly in that same hour. So special to see foxes, kangaroos and Joey's and kookaburras outside our window most mornings. Best part was how quiet it was. Absolutely no road noise at night. Excellent, friendly people to deal with and recommended for a comfortable weekend away. Gift hamper on arrival was a lovely touch too. Thank you. Don't turn the air conditioner on too hot/high, it sets the smoke alarm off, which is mounted very close to it. It had to be that, we didn't cook at all while we were there, as we were with family all weekend and just sleeping there. The fire however, doesn't set it off which was great and very cosy.
- Joshua (7/5): Good -
- Julie (9/5): Very comfortable and met all my expectations. Great stay for a lone traveler or with a partner - Location was great walking distance to town centre. The villa was spotless and provided all the amenities needed
- Evan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional - Nearly Everything was just right Not enough power points
- Chloe (6/5): Nice - The location was ideal and the view was beautiful The actual accommodation is outdated lots of paint peeling of the walls we also had a rainy day and came back to water running down the walls creating a large puddle
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Hands down, the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. It was exceptional. Everything, the place, the bed, the bath, the view, the bath.
- Mark (6/5): Pleasant - Whole place just needs a make over , getting a bit old.
- Di (10/5): Most relaxing time spent in villa 5. - Location was ideal. Nothing!
- Deanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Selina (9/5): Superb - Lovely villa, amazing view, great interior, perfect location, responsive staff The bbq was not clean at all, so couldn’t use.
- Victoria (9/5): lovely romantic weekend away - No neighbours around to pick in the windows not too happy with TV
- Dwayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (10/5): The best place in Daylesford. Quiet, serene and relaxing. - The place exceeded my expectations. it was absolutely stunning and I would definitely stay there again. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Mihaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Merryn (5/5): Tranquil but inadequate - The view of a vacant lot with bird life and kangaroos was lovely despite the blackberries. Less rules on leaving, a better bed, a heater with less sound and outside bbq lights that work.
- Bret (10/5): Perfect weather & perfect location - Everything was fantastic
- Snowcrow (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Delightful accommodation, secluded location with great valley outlook with easy walk to town centre - Very comfortable accommodation, great design of the property, secluded location with great valley outlook with easy walk to Daylesford town centre didn't book for long enough!
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - Toilet sisteen kept running
- Jenny (10/5): Stunning, amazing facilities, our villa had it all & more! - ..we absolutely loved everything about our stay
..so beautiful, so well designed, so clean, the many heat options were wonderful & lots of surprise extras, (..the hamper was a fantastic 'bonus')
..there was nothing that could have been improved! ..only that we would have liked to stay longer!!!
- Natalie (10/5): We had a fantastic stay! We would definitely book again. Thank you! - I rang the office when we arrived in town (we were a bit early) and we we accommodated right away. Check in was a breeze and we LOVED the unit! We stayed in several Air BNBs during our stay and this one was .... WOW! Spectacular! The unit was perfect, really. We loved that the unit backed up to a wildlife area. Just a pity the neighbors in Unit 4 were so loud. :(
- Karl (10/5): Magnificent and Refreshing - Being able to relax, kids free in a quiet place Nothing
- Darren (7/5): Good -
- Jon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Very comfortable apartment - very well furnished and is in a very quiet location. -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional villa with all comforts provided with a wonderful location amongst wildlife and nature. - I booked this villa for my husband's 40th birthday so we could have a weekend of rest and relaxation, and it was absolutely perfect. The hamper provided by the hosts was so lovely and we just loved all the facilities of the villa.
The gas wood fire kept the villa so toasty and it was so relaxing being able to sit in bed, watch a movie and have the fire going.
The view from the decking was so picturesque and we enjoyed our coffee out there in the morning while watching the wild life. The spa was so comfortable and the bathroom had heated floors!!
An absolutely amazing stay and we did not want to leave! I hope we can return soon. I honestly can't think of anything that could have been improved on.
- Angelo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kane (9/5): Superb - So close to the main part of town. Excellent facilities. The spa was wonderful. We found a long hair in our bed. A part from that, it was great!
- Eloise (9/5): perfect for private couples retreat - very clean, quiet, and close to nature. we found it refreshing, a chance to recharge. and had good facilities so we could cook. bed was a little hard but linen was lovely and made for a nice sleep. the spa was a treat and was used every day. the balcony facing the gully was a highlight also watching the birds. the hamper was lovely also. it wasn’t exactly walking distance to town, but it made for a quiet experience. there was also some cleaning duties that were required to leave property as we found it. I would say for this price it would be good to not expect guests to take out own rubbish and fully clean kitchen etc. also some robes would have been nice as the villa has a spa and is marketed that way.. it would go a long way to go that extra mile. we also had to go out and fetch oil, salt and pepper etc, would be nice if these items were checked upon our check in and topped up.
- Jenine (9/5): lovely property but it is not located at the site on the booking.com map; on Millar - lovely quite property with bush view. Comfortable Spa bath and hanging chair The property was not located at the site on the booking.com map - on Millar st near the corner of Albert St , a street behind Coles. A very good central location, within waliking distance of shops/ restaurants. Nor was there a street number on the booking.com site. I eventually found it on Hospital St near the T intersection with Millar St, at the Hepburn end of Millar St. The best appoach is via Millar St as Hospital St is a steep dirt track down a gully to St Vincents St. The staff at DayGet were unaware of its location.
Also the booking.com site say that a photo ID would be sighted prior to getting access to the property. However I then kept recieving daily texts from DayGet asking me to register which surprised me as Booking.com had my details.
Registering involved up loading a photo of my drivers licence or passport on to their website, so I wouldn't have to check in. I emailed them and they agreed to let me register in person at their office in St Vincents St. They filled in the online form for me and didn't take a photo of my ID, just sighted it. They were very pleasant.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katie (9/5): Superb -
- Thalia (9/5): Superb - The villa is well-designed for privacy, we didn't hear or see any neighbours throughout our stay. Backs onto a great natural view, lots of birdlife The pillows weren't great, and there was some mould in the bathroom
- Brianna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caitlin (10/5): perfect getaway. everything you need. home away from home - such a cozy clean homey place, great location. has all facilities you need
- Mcglashan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Great place, very clean and lovely throughout - Highly recommended, great place, very clean, bathroom, bedroom and lounge were lovely.
- Zoe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Saliba (8/5): We loved our stay at villa 4 and had such a comfortable sleep, electric blanket was nice too. Spa was amazing and loved - Great bed and linen, spa, outdoor area, nice views, most items there to use. We both felt very cold in the villa. Split system was on and still wasn't warming up the area, we then put the fire place on and still didn't seem to heat the place up properly. Maybe the big windows weren't keeping the heat in. Maybe some thick curtains would do the trick.
Frying pan was old and scratched (food sticking to old pan wasn't fun)
Big ant problem. (Sorry we found that the top was broken on ant spray and could t use it) and no toilet spray left. These are only minor issues.
Picture online showed big tv and when we arrived smaller tv.
Wish you had WIFI
Couch would have been better but seats were still nice.
- Sherrilyn (10/5): Enjoyed our stay and will return again. - Breakfast Hamper was lovely. All facilities were excellent. We saw some kangaroos hopping around eating the grass. Nothing
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -

Also a little supply of condiments.
Salt, pepper. Oil etc. A pair of kitchen scissors.
