Cathie (9/5): Amazing apart from local ppl booking and keeping me uo all night firstbsat ,it was awful ! - Beautiful view ,clean and tidy amazing staff ,when they were there ! Spanish ppl booked apartments on thd Friday and sat first week I was there ,Saturday night they let their friends in ,swimming in the pool ,carrying on until half 2 in the morning, then partied either side of my room ,until half six in the morning ! Did not expect to be kept up all night !

Matthew (10/5): Another Great Stay - Just returned from another fantastic stay at the Calypso . We stayed for 4 weeks this time ( March - April 2025 ). Absolutely no complaints at all . We love everything about the place . As usual we made the most of the free laundry room . You can wash your towels and belongings as many times as you like during your stay but the best part is we haven’t once ever taken any dirty washing back home with us . I would recommend the Calypso to everyone and once again we will be definitely returning at a later date .
David Lawrence (6/5): - Smell of drains throughout our stay. Worse some days more than others, especially at night. Air conditioning likely source although not sure. Management quickly sent a technician to check but it didnt resolve or inidcate a souce although it was slightly better just after their visit. Untelated, my wife had her phone and purse snatched on the steps down to Olas mall. We chased and got it back missing euros only but it was a bad experience and happened at 6.30pm so peak time in broad daylight.

Des (6/5): Pleasant - Everything was OK just. No staff to contact personally unless you were lucky enough to meet a cleaner. There is no cleaning service. If you have a problem you need to solve you have to contact management through booking.com. The pool was not cleaned once in the week were there. Only 10 Sun loungers and some are damaged. Any information about the area was in an office that was not attended while we were there .
David (7/5): Good after check in - Nice location, reasonably quiet. Check on processed was a bit sketchy, checked in both adults through web online process. Entering card details etc. Seemed to be all good, only to receive email once we arrived that card hadn’t been processed for some reason, which was a bit off putting as it was a Sunday and no real help. Finally found out we had to use credit card only for the purpose of £150 security for damages that may occur. Eventually got sorted. Be worth while stating that credit card only accepted, and why did it all go through on line as accepted only to receive email on day of arrival to say there was a problem. 🙈
Laine (8/5): Great apartments, convenient with lovely view, missing a few details. - Clean, nicely decorated, includes a safe, balcony with lovely views. Lots of amenities including gym, washing machines, swimming pool and garden. Very quick to reply on Whatsapp. Small bathroom, overlooked balcony, no staff on-site, no oven in kitchen.

Could be cleaner in the room.Some of the area around the pool looking a bit worn and needs some work. Note on a very steep hill we enjoyed the extra work out going up and down the steps each day to the nearest beach could be a issue with someone with mobility issues.

Sabrina (6/5): Pleasant - Bed was comfy, complex quiet enough to relax Check in time was 3pm messaged owner at 2.55 as didn't want to make our way to property without code, advised code would he send at 3pm when we were due to check in! Apartment OK but needs a good clean, shower overflows if you stay in it longer than 3 minutes, only one set of towels provided for 4 nights stay. No bin in kitchen. Pool is meant to be heated but was freezing cold, messaged owner to be advised. It's solar panel heated and what did I expect for January time! Apartment is a long walk into town with lots of steps. So not advisable for people with walking restrictions Apartment cost over 110 a night and being honest you can get better apartments. For this price closet to town.

Lynsey (9/5): Lovely clean apartment - The property was lovely and very clean and tidy. The small kitchen had everything we needed. Shower was great. The bed was a little hard for my tastes but that’s obviously a personal preference. I think it’s worth noting that in the studio apartment there is no door to the shower area so if you’re planning on sharing this apartment with a friend then that’s a consideration. I liked the location but if you want to be in the thick of it re the main shopping area and beach then this possibly isn’t the place for you. I really liked the nearby restaurants though. They were all divine.
Anna (8/5): A nice place with quiet evenings close to the touristy center - The apartment has a great balcony, in the flat were all the needed supplies and the check in was very easy. It‘s also not an issue to park in front of the property. The location was quite calm, you can walk to the town center in 10 minutes, you just have to count with a lot of stairs. If you want to be perfectly isolated, this is not the place for you. People walk past your flat to their units and you’re therefore quite exposed.
Jane (9/5): Great price , Great Place . - Nice clean Apartment . Number 102 . Opened up straight onto the pool . Big long terrace compared to the floors above & yet apparently these apartments next to the pool are classed as the cheapest because you don't get a scenic view. Suited us perfectly. Also they have privacy glass so you can see out but people can't see in . Not that there was anybody to see in anyway . Had the pool to our selves most days . We stayed for 3 weeks & didn't expect any cleaning service but to our surprise the cleaners did a full clean , bed sheet , towel change once a week . Everything is provided for guests if you want to do your own cleaning . There is a small laundry provided for free . Washers, dryers, etc . Used this all the time . No washing to do when we got home so no complaints there . Good WIFI too . All in all great value for money & nice peaceful place with short walk to restaurants , bars , harbour , etc . There wasn't anything that we disliked. In fact we've rebooked for a whole month early next year .

Kitchen was fully stocked and the apartment was very clean and well maintained. Only two things bugged us about our stay (we did have a great visit) We Didn’t see any staff for the duration of our 6 day stay and also we didn’t get fresh/clean towels during our stay considering we were there for almost a week.

Bernadette (8/5): Nice Boutique apartment - Apartment was very clean and comfortable. Lovely small complex with great view. Air conditioning was great 🙂 The location was very remote and the amount of steps to nearest shop/restaurant was not easy. Taxis were needed to get back up, at least they were not expensive. There was little or no reception after checking in and no cleaning staff on a 7 night stay 😕 But would probably stay again we liked the apartment 🙂

Michael (9/5): What a place! Honest review. - Firstly, I loved my stay at Calypso Boutique. The views were incredible, it was as pictured/advertised, and I will definitely return if I'm in Puerto Rico. The location was insanely peaceful because it's the other side of the cliff and not on the main shopping centre/bar side. It was so quiet, literally silent at times, and one day I even had the pool to myself! The bedroom was clean, comfortable and modern, there's a thermostat on the wall so you can set the room to whatever temperature you like. The kitchen has all the essentials and modern tech, and the bathroom was equally as good. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. She ordered me a taxi the morning of my departure. It was also fairly priced. Thanks. This is just being extremely picky, but I am a bit of a perfectionist so I thought I'd mention some things. In the apartment it had a few marks on the walls, and there were a few small bugs that I had to spray and dispose of (they provided bug spray so maybe this is a common thing in Puerto Rico). Outside the pool surround could do with a fresh coat of paint, and the flooring around the pool and shower was a little bit tired. It also does have a few steps (around 150) to get there, it's not too bad but if you can't deal with them that day then it's only around 4 euros from the beach and 5 euros from the main centre in a taxi. There are taxis and ranks everywhere, or you could rent a car, there's always space to park outside. Besides those minor 'flaws' I couldn't fault it, and like I said I would definitely return. Sarah (7/5): Good - The hotel was very very clean we didn't see any staff self check in and out it was very very quiet area It was quite a walk to the main shopping centre and the pool was small it felt like intruding when there was another couple in the pool and you wanted to get in to also we also stayed on the more non tourist and more Spanish side to which I really liked as it helped me with my Spanish but my partner really didn't like that
Angela (1/5): Not for us, wasted our money - Absolutely nothing. It wasn't for us after checking the location etc. We didn't see the room so cannot comment on the room at all. 1. No reception 2. No amenities 3. Terrible location 4. Dirty streets, animal mess.

Denise (10/5): - Wir sind spät angekommen, was mit vorheriger Kommunikation aber kein Problem war. Parkplatz vorhanden, mit Sektflasche begrüßt worden. Ich mag die graue Bettwäsche, statt dem Standard-Weiß. Es wäre schön, wenn ab und zu mal durchgewischt würde, oder etwas vorhanden wäre, um es selbst zu machen. Aber ansonsten: alles prima, würde ich wieder wählen.
Abbie (10/5): Perfect location, very sunny & hot - The apartment was very clean & tidy. The pool was lovely, although a tad cold. The apartment came with everything you needed during your stay. Didn’t have a hair dryer even though it was stated one would be supplied. Didn’t see any memebers of staff apart from cleaners during my stay.

Sindija (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is new and beautiful. Terrace is quite big, bathroom was very cozy but super nice and new, bed was comfy and big. Kitchen has everything you need. Pool and bathing zone is great👌🏽 Overall one of the best places you can stay here because it is on the other side of the mountain so it’s superquiet at night, there aren’t any noises and it’s safe. Also the fact that there aren’t many apartments so you won’t be dealing with 100+ other guests.

Stephanie (10/5): Amazing - I liked how easy it was to check into this property. The facilties provided was everything we needed and more. The receptionist was more than helpful with any questions we had. There was a supermarket 3 mins walk from the property down some steps. Easy to go down hard to come back up but there is taxis everywhere you go. Beach was a 10 minute walk from the property. The town centre was another 10 after that. If you didn't want to go to the centre we had bars and restaurants just down the stairs from the apartments. Amazing stay. We will definitely come back to these apartments for our next stay in Puerto Rico.

Nicole (10/5): A lovely stay we will definitely return… - We booked a deluxe apartment which had a lovely view. The apartment was modern and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything for a holiday let. The bed was very comfy and the shower was modern and powerful. The only downside would be the pool area was small but we only used it a couple of times as we preferred to pay for a bed near the sea.

Kevin (8/5): I came away to take a break from a busy lifestyle and got the rest I required. - I was left alone and everything I required was there. The location was a bit further out of town than I thought but a pleasant walk in. No Egg cups which I purchased and left in the apartment with a new silicone spatula for making scrambled eggs.
Peter (10/5): Super apartments in a wonderful location - The apartments are lovely, built less than 7 years ago, with modern basic facilities. The gym area and laundry facilities were a bonus. Great location with lovely restaurants nearby. Helpful staff who were able to respond to our questions very quickly. If not on site, messaging was also very responsive. It's not a major problem, but be prepared to climb up and down a few steps to get to the beach and restaurant areas. Or you can also walk up and down along the road, which is slightly further but more gentle.

Walk down (140 odd steps) to the commercial centre in the evening, where we had a fantastic meal, and a fun evening in the Irish bar. A wonderful holiday! Nothing. Everything was fab.

Pool is small so not great if you like to swim but ok to cool off in...the gym, and laundry room was a great addition, we had a lovely stay and will definately return... I like to swim so I would prefer a bigger pool..im a keen walker and hiker but all the steps to get to the beach and center which are about 15/20mins walk can be a little hard on your calfes after a good few days, but that has no reflection on the apartment just a area comment...

Located in a quiet neighbourhood with restaurants just at the bottom of the hill.Apartment located on the better side for us. Parking on street for hire car. Not such an issue with the apartment,but to walk around you need to enjoy walking up stairs. Peurto Rico has lots lots of stairs. We quite like walking up stairs,be warned.

Anna (8/5): Bargain apartments great 💤 - I liked the fact our apartment was level with the pool so we could go swimming at night and that there wasn't many other people staying so it felt like we had it to ourselves. The bed was very comfortable and the room nice and dark and it was quiet so great to sleep. The apartments were up a hill so no good for me as I have a bad back so had to get taxi back and forth to the beaches and bars however it was very cheap price for the taxi at £3.85 to get back to hotel from the front where the bars are.
