- Deborah (8/5): - The overall stay was good..myself and my daughter just wanted a little getaway close to a beach Parlee beach was great..The only thing that I was not too happy about was the restaurant staff 1 lady( French)was not very pleasant when we asked questions. And the menu was not very accommodating to people who didn’t like seafood, but it would never stop me from going to the Inn our room was great! We had a very good weekend.

- Kevin (4/5): - Our stay at Hôtel du Vieux Port was okay, but the music in the restaurant downstairs was left on all night and was very disruptive to our sleep. We ended up having to drown out the pervasive noise of the endless drum beat with the sound of a fan. The restaurant staff made me feel like we (as guests of the hotel) were a bit of an annoyance, and leaving the music on certainly didn't make me feel like they cared about the quality of our experience. Additionally, the description of our room failed to mention that the bathroom (which was admittedly very nice) was across the public hallway from our bedroom. While it was private, it did mean that any time we needed to use the bathroom (including at 3am when the music woke us both up) we felt like we needed to hurry and sneak across the hall. Overall, I would pick a different hotel for our next visit.

- Katie (10/5): Cozy and luxurious boutique hotel - Wonderfully cozy little boutique hotel located downtown Shediac. The rooms are tastefully decorated to make you feel at home and comfortable but also with a touch of luxurious details that elevate the whole experience. We were two couples so we took the sweet which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms which are seperated by a door. The restaurant is also very nice with a well varied menu and great service. I highly recommend this place for your next Shediac stay.

Pay close attention to the special instructions, there is no hotel desk on site for check-in, nor did we encounter any hotel staff in person. We received timely email communication regarding door codes for entry. Also note when booking that one of the rooms has a separate private bathroom across the hall.

Once we got there was not even staff in the building where the restaurant where we had planned to have breakfast. the Phone staff was friendly and patient but we definitely missed having someone to greet us in person. I know at least one customer was lost because of the remote registration. Otherwise, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable, but to me the pillows were like bricks.

All the communication was done thru email and I was asked to do self check-in and self check-out. The breakfast looked so nice (24 dollar buffet). I was looking forward to having a chance to meet staff there while eating the looking nice breakfast but sadly restaurant was not open for breakfast. Then why they keep the breakfast menu in the room? I guess I'm an old school. Self check-in with no greeting and self check-out with no goodbye... hmmm I do not like it but I still like the hotel so I may come back.

The space gives a bed/breakfast feel but zero staff on site and zero breakfast available The outside of the property and front stairs needs some work! The staff that arrived in the morning were so kind and generous, using camp stoves to make coffee and breakfast. It was quite an adventure and an experience we will always remember. - Lena (10/5): - The property is a beautiful century old inn. The floors are all inlaid wood patterns and the woodwork is amazing. The room was light and bright and the bed was very comfortable. I especially loved the relaxing music playing softly in our room when we arrived. The food was all on charcuterie boards, including breakfast and it was amazing. We sat out on the patio in the evening listening to live music and then moved to the propane fireplace after sunset to enjoy some drinks. Fantastic anniversary get away in a quaint little town. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bathrobes would of been appreciated. Also. No mirror in bedroom. Had to go across hall if needed a mirror. We stayed Friday night. Live entertainment in restaurant downstairs till midnight. We’re travelling. Needed our sleep . Would never stay again . Pictures look good online but comfort and food night sleep important when travelling

- Liz (8/5): - We spent one night at this B&B type hotel. It is right on Main Street in Shediac within walking distance to restaurants. It has a good size parking lot in the back but the driveway can be easily missed. There is a large grassy area with a gazebo and conversation pieces. The property does not have a front desk so it is punch code access. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite on the 2nd floor. It was incredibly clean and had modern decor/bedding unlike most B&B style hotels. When you walk in the door to the suite there was a little hallway that lead to the bedrooms. I was happy to have the 2 rooms as our daughter sleeps better in her own room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, it felt like I was sleeping in my own bed. I didn’t give this 5/5 because the a/c was a loud window unit and not central a/c. It was also only located in one of the rooms so it didn’t cool down the whole suite. We had our 9 month old in the second bedroom so we couldn’t have the window a/c on as we wouldn’t hear her. Since it was cooler at night, we were able to open all the windows. My other concern for this room was that it didn’t have a deadbolt or chain lock on the main door to the suite like the other room(just a door handle lock). The stronger locks were on the doors leading to the bedrooms. While that would be okay if it was just adults, since I had a baby with me, I couldn’t exactly lock her in the separate room at night. I would definitely stay here again if I wasn’t traveling with kids.
