- Manfred (8/5): Would come again - Hotel is situated in a quiet area and around 15 min walk along the river away from the city. Split level room was quiet, beds in good condition. Be aware of the stairs to reach the bedroom. Missing bid of possibilities to sit at the table. Room was clean. Missing some hooks in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but same like other hotels in Bretagne. Staff could be bit more aware of missing items at the buffet.

- Carolin Juliane (8/5): - Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig und man hat einen Parkplatz! Das ist wirklich top! Man kann zu Fuß in rund 10-15 Minuten im Zentrum sein, was auch entspannt ist. Es gibt klimatisierte und große Zimmer. Einzig die Kissen sind unseres Erachtens furchtbar und viel zu dick. Wir konnten nicht damit schlafen und mussten auf die Zierkissen des Sofas zurückgreifen, damit es einigermaßen ging. Ansonsten hat alles gepasst!

- JAYNE (10/5): - Excellent hotel on the edge of Quimper. It was a little difficult to find at first even with Google maps. Reception staff were really friendly and especially helpful when we explained that we hadn't booked breakfast as my partner is gluten intolerant.. they assured us that there would be gluten free bread available for him and there was! We had an enormous room which was impeccably clean and well laid out. Parking was free and safe. It's a short 10/15 minute walk along the river into Quimper where there are many restaurants and bars but there are also a couple of excellent restaurants with a few steps of the hotel if you don't fancy the walk. All in all this was a lovely stay during our tour of beautiful Brittany and we would stay here again when in the area.
- Nomad15685883031 (10/5): Great location and great staff - We had a lovely family vacation based in Quimper, and we truly enjoyed staying at Hotel Ginkgo. The staff were especially helpful, providing recommendations for day trips and making all sorts of arrangements on our behalf. The rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. We loved being within walking distance of the town center but still away from all the hustle and bustle. A great experience.

The only food you can have is some Lasagne from the micro wave. Give it 3 stars at the maximum , even as an hotel guest you have to pay 35 Euro to enter the spa

- 481betsyb (4/5): This is 2 or 3 star hotel, definitely not 4. - The hotel is in a lovely old building. The rooms are modern, but definitely not four stars. I had a junior suite which was utilitarian. The sloping roof made it impossible to see the river or even stand up in most of the room. The chairs were beanbag chairs. Staff were helpful enough. The breakfast which had been posted for €10 was billed to me at € 20. It’s away from the main part of town so not much to do within walking distance.

- maria (10/5): - L’Hôtel si trova nel contesto di uno splendido piccolo borgo medioevale, con annesso orto botanico, sulle rive del fiume Odet. Un luogo magico. Sapiente ristrutturazione e trasformazione dell’edificio storico in hotel. L’accoglienza è stata ottima da parte del personale. In particolare Adele, che nel fornire preziose informazioni sui luoghi da visitare e ristoranti, ha reso piacevole la nostra permanenza a quimper. L’Hôtel è vicino al centro storico…una passeggiata di 15 minuti lungo il fiume. La struttura è curata nei minimi dettagli. Noi abbiamo alloggiato nella camera al piano terra con scala interna molto carina, con bagno grande e molto comodo. Patio con sedie e tavolini all’esterno. Favolosa permanenza. L’ideale è visitare il centro storico decisamente grazioso verso sera quando la maggior parte dei turisti sono andati via.

The hotel is immaculate, the breakfast is delicious, and they took special care to make sure our 10 year old felt special. We came back to a clean room one afternoon and found the staff had staged his stuffed animals in an embrace on the pillow. Highly recommend.
- Trip57786129075 (6/5): Overpriced 3* hotel - Definitely not a 4* hotel, low 3 at best. Avoid the hugely overpriced breakfast at €19 the whole buffet wouldn’t cost that. We were shown to our room by the handyman who later stated there was no white wine on the premises for a Kir as I say no way a 4* hotel, very disappointing.

- Koszuta (10/5): A truly excellent address in Quimper - This privately owned hotel is in a quiet and unique part of Quimper, 10 minutes maximum walking distance along the river Odet from the town centre. It is a beautifully converted listed building with spacious rooms in the main building and compact split-level accommodation in a row of 6 small adjacent 'houses'. The owners have tastefully decorated everywhere combining modern art works with very comfortable furnishings. We spent 5 nights in a suite, the bed was fabulous and housekeeping was amazing! Warm thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. The owners were very present and everyone was friendly and helpful. There is no bar or restaurant (2 bars and 2 restaurants very close!) but a selection of drinks can be served in the lounge. One evening we ordered a platter of cheese and charcuterie to eat in our room - wow! Breakfast is tasty and very well presented, "full English" is not offered but not needed when freshly scrambled eggs can be enjoyed if the fruits, pastries, breads etc. are not enough! There is a private car park and a spacious outdoor area which must be delightful in warm weather.

Tout fût parfait : l'acceuil, la chambre, la grande salle de bain, le cadre, la proximité du centre ville (env 1,2 Km de la cathédrale de Quimper), la possibilité de se restaurer à proximité (sur les conseils de l'hôtel, nous avons dîner au "restau à vins". The suites are a bit odd, having two stories and being detached from the main building, but the room was ample and modern. The breakfast spread was excellent. Je trouve assez agréable ce petit effet duplex qui donne plus l'impression d'être dans un appartement que dans une chambre. Malheureusement je n'ai pas eu le temps de profiter du spa (que l'on ne m'a pas proposé d'ailleurs). Un petit plus pour l'écran plat que l'on peut pivoter pour regarder la télé depuis un fauteuil plutôt que depuis le lit. Quand on est 2 c'est un autre problème je pense… Je reviendrai surement.
- Suzannedlv (10/5): - Love this hotel! There is nothing not to like. We had a big beautiful, clean, modern room. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect adjacent to a lovely garden and the river. It is also in a lovely part of the old town. We had breakfast which was very nice. Staff gave us excellent restaurant recommendations which we greatly appreciated! We will stay there again in the future and we highly recommend this hotel.

- Sylvia (10/5): A delightful stay in a beautiful boutique hotel - Located on the grounds of an old priory close to the center of Quimper in charming, peaceful gardens, the Ginkgo is a beautiful boutique hotel -- a gem of refinement and tranquility. Owned, redesigned and managed by a former architect/interior designer, every room is brandnew, bright, airy, and minimalist (we stayed in one of the lovely two-floor rooms with the bedroom upstairs and the sparkling bathroom and workspace downstairs), and and every decorative and functional item was selected with exceptional taste and care, handmade as much as possible by local artisans. The exterior designs and the calming color scheme inside likewise draw on Breton history and nature. Ask the owneress, Catherine, about the story behind the Warhol-inspired paintings in the breakfast room/lounge! Speaking of breakfasts, the buffet was ample and the (mostly) locally sourced food delicious. We were truly disappointed that we were only able to stay one night, and so could not enjoy the spa on the grounds, Biloba, or another night of the Gingko's hospitality.
- Mendilin (10/5): Tastefully designed - Located in quimper original old town, surrounded by ancient buildings and cathedral. Ancient exterior modern interior. 15mins walk from quimper town. Very clean and great comfort. Easy parking.
- sabrina (8/5): Paraît - Parfait petit hôtel , moderne , chambre très confortable et spacieuse. Tout neuf , rien à redire à part qu’il n’y a pas de petit déjeuner si vous partez très tôt
