Staff members were kind and helpful Location is overall good but pretty far from station center so going shopping is a bit far.

The view from our bed was amazing!! The food was good with a good choice of dinners. Breakfast was yummy Staff were friendly and we loved the facilities - the spa and pool etc... When we arrived it felt like the hotel wasn't ready for us, with staff cleaning everywhere and a bit hectic There was a big conference while we were there and we found that some nights we had no space to sit in the bar area and it was very loud late at night with people shouting up and down the corridors. We felt a bit taken over and not personal. We were 10 minutes walk to the centre and on the way back was up a steep hill

- Ricky (8/5): Nice hotel, would recommend - Good location, nice facilities, good size rooms, good value for money, food was nice, reception and restaurant staff were really friendly, cleaning staff were nice. Spa staff and equipment room staff were typically rude French towards English. This stereotype should be stamped out and for that I only give it an 8 out of ten. The reception staff and restaurant staff clearly got the memo but I just think from a business perspective, bad apples in the bunch ruin it for all. Management need to stamp out this French vs English culture mentality, it’s pathetic, without tourism there jobs wouldn’t exist, so they should be grateful to everyone no matter there ethnicity, religion and nationality. I will say however, it wouldn’t stop me going back there.

- Bertrand (10/5): fantastic place and an amazing holiday which we hope to repeat. - room with fantastic views. energetic and freindly staff even in the face of miserable (other) guests. great ski equipment hire. great communal spaces. food was very good quality and plentiful and staff very efficient and friendly. warm room and good lighting both bright when needed and dim also when switching down. car parking was perfect. reception was always welcoming and always helpful. the spa was great but a little tired and needs a good deep clean. poor detail on the wine list at the bar. we originally asked for two singles (and one double) but the room was set up as a double and bunk beds. but this was not a major problem as one of my sons slept on the sofa bed as the bunk bed was too short. communication through Booking.Com was not easy or good and made it more complicated than it should have been.

N’avons pas été prévenus que le hammam était en panne, et sommes restés 6 jours sans pouvoir en bénéficier. L’avons signalé a la réceptionniste qui est restée indifférente. Avons diné au restaurant de l’hôtel et une fois sur place et lors de notre choix, le serveur nous informe que le tarif menu n’est pas exact comme indiqué sur la carte mais majoré de 2€ Dommage que vos cartes n’aient pas été mises à jour ! D’autre part, lors du choix de nos desserts, les 2 que nous avions choisi n’étaient plus disponibles ! Encore dommage !!!! Pourtant nous n’étions pas si nombreux dans l’hôtel cette semaine.

- Yulia (7/5): 4-star hotel with strong food options, best enjoyed with realistic expectations - Overall, Altezza Arc 1800 is a solid 4-star hotel and largely meets expectations for its category. Rooms are comfortable and functional, and the food offering is one of the hotel’s strengths. We booked half board (breakfast and dinner included), which is worth highlighting — there was a good variety of food and the quality was consistently good without feeling repetitive. There is no lunch service in the hotel, but around 3 pm the bar offers snacks such as crepes and light bites, which is convenient after skiing, even though it is not possible to have a proper lunch or soup during the day. The spa area (pool/sauna/jacuzzi) is a definite plus, especially after a day on the slopes. We personally did not use the jacuzzi, but family members mentioned it was usually quite busy. The views from the hotel’s common areas are absolutely stunning and a real highlight of the stay. Staff are generally friendly and try to be helpful. We also stayed during one of the busiest weeks of the year, the New Year period, so we were aware the hotel was operating at full capacity. Overall organization and communication could be improved. Email responses before and during the stay were often slow, and for practical matters (such as parking) calling the hotel directly was the most effective option. Upon arrival, parking instructions were unclear, and the assigned space was not available, which made the arrival experience unnecessarily stressful. During a fully booked week, dinner seating can be challenging. If you are travelling with a larger group and want to sit together in the main restaurant, it is strongly recommended to reserve a table in advance, as seating is split between the restaurant and a lobby/bar area. We experienced several operational issues, including housekeeping leaving balcony doors open (resulting in very cold rooms) and billing inconsistencies at dinner and check-out that required follow-up. Additionally, one of the two coffee machines at breakfast broke down mid-stay, leading to long queues, which was inconvenient given peak occupancy and somewhat surprising that the issue could not be resolved more quickly. To be fair, the hotel did acknowledge the inconveniences and offered a goodwill gesture, which was appreciated. These points are mentioned honestly as they did affect the overall experience. Location-wise, it is important to note that the hotel is located at the edge of Arc 1800. The hotel does offer ski-in access, but when snow conditions are not ideal — which was the case during our stay — the ski-in route is not straightforward and can be quite challenging. Access is less obvious and convenient than it may appear in descriptions. Ski-out is not immediate: you can walk a few minutes, put on skis and head towards Peisey, but if you want direct access to Les Arcs slopes, you still need to walk uphill for a few minutes to the nearest lift (Charmettoger). If you plan to take ski lessons, most schools meet in the village center, which requires a 10–15 minute walk — not ideal, especially with children.

Le fait qu il n y ait pas de snack pour le midi. Le fait que l hotel 4* ne propose pas de service navette (meme payante) jusqu au telepherique . (Longue attente dans les navettes gratuites et de plus surpeuplees) .

Il faudrait peut-être instauré des règles de bienséance pour certaines personnes, qui éviterait sûrement des conflits ! Dommage

On sent que l’équipe vit bien et que les personnes sont contentes de travailler ici - La qualité du service et de la nourriture dans le restaurant (produits de qualité, quantités, présentation) - La propreté des chambres et la vue. L’équipe a été arrangeante et nous a surclassé pour avoir une vue vallée ce qui est très appréciable - Certains équipements dysfonctionnels, notamment dans le spa (Jaccuzi extérieur et Hammam hors service, piscine froide). Comme nous sommes en fin de saison certains équipements n’ont pas été réparés, pourtant nous payons pour la prestation, ce qui est dommage. - Manque de conseils et de proposition pour les activités dans la station l’été. Ce serait top de proposer des services en collaboration avec la station (réductions sur les locations de vélo, parapente, carte Hero en réduction etc…)

- Maximilian (2/5): Ein Urlaubstag zum vergessen - Das Zimmer war in Ordnung allerdings sehr klein. Bitte auf die Quadratmeter achten. Das Holz an einigen Stellen ist sehr kaputt. Der Balkon ist nur für eine Person gedacht. ACHTUNG: wir hatten für die Nacht ein Zimmer mit drei Personen gebucht. Das Personal hat uns den Zutritt zu ihrem Restaurant verweigert, da dies angeblich ausgebucht sei. Dies war zu keinem Zeitpunkt der Fall. Nach einem 2-stündigen Gespräch mit dem Hotelpersonal kam noch immer zu keinem Ergebnis. Wir baten das Hotel aufgrund der Sprache ein Restaurant im Umkreis zu buchen. Auch hier war es erfolglos. Ergebnis: wir sind ohne Essen ins Bett gegangen. Ein Urlaubstag zum vergessen. Von einem 4-Sterne Hotel muss man erwarten, dass bei ausgewiesenem Restaurant eine Möglichkeit zur Bewirtung der Gäste besteht. Möchten Sie einen SCHLECHTEN Urlaubstag erleben, dann buchen Sie dieses Hotel!!

- Jo (10/5): Lovely cosy hotel with incredible views. - We loved our stay here. Great communication on arrival instructions before we got there as weren’t familiar with the area and weren’t driving. We got the funicular from bourg saint Maurice and then the free shuttle to the chamotteger stop. It all works very well together timing wise. Then it’s a short walk uphill (bit of a challenges with our suitcases but it was only short). It’s also a short walk down to the main area with a great choice of restaurants some shops and we were in the summer season but a whole host of activities for the kids. The whole hotel had a very cosy vibe with incredible views, definitely worth paying for a room with a view, loved the pool. Everything was clean and well kept,service was very friendly whoever we spoke to. Replen at breakfast was a little slow. there was a good choice and all was tasty just at times we were waiting a while for plates or still water. Room was clean and spacious only criticism was it was a little hot at times, air con would have been useful and it was 2 beds pushed together rather than a double which I don’t find the comfiest and pillow choice wasn’t great they were very soft and no alternatives. We didn’t like the rule where you could only eat there if you were half board the first day we had a LONG day of travel but had to go out and find dinner where as we would have liked to stay at the hotel but didn’t want to eat every night to make it half board. This felt a little money making. Overall we loved our stay.

Chambre spacieuse et agréable, tout comme l'espace détente et spa. Merci au réceptionniste lors de notre arrivée, qui a été très aimable et s'est démené pour trouver une solution à notre problème. Odeur de cigarette dans la chambre en arrivant, nous avons du changer de chambre... Prix du parking assez élevé (10 euros par nuit...). Nous espérions une remise commerciale suite au désagrément de la chambre en début de séjour ... Seul point négatif.

Lenzuola, asciugamani e accappatoi di alta qualità, ciabatte, macchina caffè Nespresso a disposizione, prese corrente ovunque, cassaforte, frigorifero, Wi-Fi in camera disponibile e funzionante. Accesso gratuito in piscina, 2 vasche idromassaggio e sauna. Al nostro arrivo ci hanno omaggiato di borracce per l’acqua e distributore a disposizione. Colazione a buffet molto fornita con addetto alla preparazione della uova e crepa. Cena veramente ottima e complimenti allo chef. Da migliorare cuscini scomodi e più attenzione al rifacimento dei letti (presenza di pieghe fastidiose). Camerieri e addetti alla reception gentili e disponibili tranne una. Tempi lunghi di attesa alla cena (media attesa per 3 portate un’ora e mezza). Canali tv italiani praticamente assenti. La palestra ha a disposizione solo tapis roulants. Parcheggio esterno gratuito sempre pieno.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good Hotel but Unclear Booking Terms - We booked a half-board stay at Altezza Arc 1800 Hotel & Spa for our family of four (2 adults, 2 children aged 13 and 16) through Hotels.com. This booking proved to be a source of significant frustration and financial loss due to misleading information and a lack of support from Hotels.com. The hotel contacted us post-booking to inform us that our children's meals were not included in the half-board rate. When we contacted Hotels.com, we were told this was stated in the terms and conditions—a clause we found to be incredibly unclear. The T&Cs mentioned an exclusion for children aged 3-14, but our 16-year-old was not in this age range and could not be booked as an adult on the site. In a written communication, Hotels.com agreed to a refund. They instructed us to pay the hotel directly for the children's meals and submit the invoices for a full refund for the 16-year-old and a partial refund (minus EUR 15) for the 13-year-old. Trusting this agreement, we paid the hotel EUR 518 (EUR 259 per child). Upon our return, Hotels.com reneged on their promise, claiming the hotel had refused the refund. Despite providing all correspondence, invoices, and evidence of their initial agreement, the company has now stated they will not honor the refund. This experience highlights a significant breakdown in communication and customer service. The booking terms were ambiguous, and Hotels.com failed to follow through on a clear written promise, leaving us to bear a substantial and unexpected cost.

- chiara (8/5): Arc 1800 - La struttura è molto bella in una bella posizione rispetto alle funivie, c'è un bel centro benessere Nuxe dove rilassarsi dopo le passeggiate. La colazione è veramente eccezionale e variegata c'è di tutto e per tutti i gusti, vengono offerti prodotti locali di alta qualità, formaggi e salumi freschi. Anche le pietanze del ristorante sono veramente buone, ma purtroppo c'è poca scelta. Le camere sono spaziose pulite, il letto molto grande e gli asciugamani accappatoi molto morbidi. In camera c'è una macchina del caffè con capsule e tisane rifornite ogni giorno, questo è un altro piccolo lusso .. altra cosa importante l'acqua è sempre a disposizione degli ospiti per riempire le borracce! Hotel super green, si vede che ci tengono all'ambiente e al territorio. Il personale di reception è molto professionale nel risolvere problemi (abbiamo avuto inizialmente degli inconvenienti ma si sono attivati subito per risolvere e migliorare il nostro soggiorno) e questo fa la differenza.Torneremo appena possibile. La cosa che ci è piaciuta di meno è il servizio del ristorante ma non per il cibo che ho trovato veramente buono. Non consiglierei di fare la mezza pensione se ci si sta più di 3 gg, la sera il menù è sempre lo stesso. Bisogna riservare comunque il tavolo nonostante sia già inclusa nel prezzo pagato, ci sono degli extra in base ai piatti scelti...e non sempre la comunicazione con i camerieri è stata efficace, il servizio è lento e non è ben organizzato. Venivano diversi camerieri a chiedere sempre la stessa cosa (per esm prendere la comanda o il dessert) e alla fine nessuno te la portava.. nonostante la sala non fosse mai piena sembrava tutto così confuso... Sarebbe ideale un menù del giorno per i clienti o qualche variazione. La Spa è bella ma non viene controllata la presenza di bambini nelle yacuzzi. L'acqua della piscina e l'ambiente piscine erano freddi ! Suggerirei qualche attività giornaliera/serale per i clienti dell'hotel.

- Serge (9/5): Venez-y ! - En demi-pension: repas du soir avec de très bon produit. Le personnel de salle et en cuisine très attentifs et accpetant des petites variaitons pour satisfaire le client. Le petit déjeuner parfait aussi. Une grande variété de produits (graines, pains, formages, viénoiseries, gateaux vafriés, jambon, truite). Qualité très impressionnante. Il y a eu des clients très bruyants je chef de la salle a fait le maximum pour contenir ces agités. L'espace aquatique est super. La salle de gym est ok meme si quelques poids ou élastiques auraient plus compléter les nombreuses machines cardio - détail mineur Pour moi c'est une excellente expérience.

The hotel is very quiet, spotless, and has a fresh, pleasant smell everywhere. The rooms are big and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, especially with the French juices. A truly relaxing stay!

Cependant, l’unique option pour rafraîchir la chambre est d’ouvrir la fenêtre, car il n’y a pas de climatisation, mais la nuit reste relativement bruyante avec les personnes qui parlent sur les balcons jusqu’à minuit. L’insonorisation est minimale. Les chambres sont bruyantes. L’hôtel est familial, donc on entend les enfants sauter la nuit, les parents crier. De plus, ce qui serait très intéressant, c’est d’avoir au minimum en room service. J’ai été surpris qu’aucun service en chambre n’est proposé.
