Guest Reviews
- Vytautas (9/5): Not a single regret choosing Phu Chaem house - Friendly staff, good location, nice terrace with good view. I really enjoyed my stay Using the wall plug was one hell of a challenge
- Jake (9/5): Better than expected. - Great no major issues. Great price for what it is! Clean and pleasant. No kettle and a cold shower. Beds are pretty hard as well if your not used to the Thai firmness.
- Mohd Ikmal (9/5): had a very pleasant stay at Phu Chaem House in Mae Chaem. The hospitality was excellent, and the owner was extremely fr - Everything

- Mr G (10/5): It was a brilliant stay, nice view and supportive staff. They gave me full access to the kitchen. - The staff and the facilities

- Machmut (9/5): Perfekt, hab mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt. :-) - - Kurz gesagt, es war alles super. :-))
- Adam (9/5): - What a delightful little town Nada
- Peter (9/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal 🥰

- Sawangwit (10/5): -
- catherine (9/5): Jungle bungalow - Private bungalow tucked away
Convenient stop on the loop No real breakfast or coffee options in the morning. Just some sachets which would pass in an emergency I guess
- Thomas (8/5): -
- Paul (10/5): A good stay before driving up Doi Inthanon. - Single bungalows set in well kept gardens and can park your car right next to the bungalow.
The staff were very friendly and a friendly cat. A very hard bed
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Louis Rupert (8/5): -
- Priyan (8/5): Good price-quality for a private cabin short-stay - The owner was super friendly and offered me breakfast and coffee in the morning. The location was good to get to Doi Inthanon and the price was really good. It's a private cabin with your own front porch and parking if you need it, good AC and fridge. The bed is unbelievably hard, like a lot of beds in Thailand, but this one was extreme to me. For one night, I guess okay. Unfortunately, the roosters started making noise next to my cabin at 5 in the morning, even before sunrise. Not such a good sleep.

- Sonja (8/5): Preiswerte schöne Unterkunft - Sehr netter Empfang, sauberer Bungalow.
- 9w6vx (9/5): Overall, a good place to stay. - Comfy bed. Bungalow had AC and bathroom. No kettle for hot water.
- Michel (8/5): -
- Vivek (10/5): -
- Laurie (10/5): Great place to stay in Mae Chaem. Great value! - Easy to find, even after dark, quick check in, quiet and beautiful area! Toast and coffee at breakfast. Room clean and comfortable. Has all the amenities. Good AC but also a nice fan. Nothing. Everything was great!
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms were spacious, AC worked great, comfy beds. The family that runs the hotel are lovely people.
- Stijn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Johannes (8/5): Very good - Very quiet. Good value for money
- Roland (10/5): Exceptional - Easy nice clean
- Christa (5/5): Budget stay, adequate for 1 night - - owner was friendly.
- beautiful scenery. - I thought I sat on concrete when I sat on a bed. It was the hardest mattress ever.
- duvet was really thin and I wore my down jacket to keep even fraction of warm. I did not sleep at all!
- fridge had mould inside as they keep turning the fridge off without having it air out.
- even there is 1,5m between the houses you can still hear your neighbours.
- Naomi (9/5): Beautiful location - Loved the location! It’s beautiful with fantastic gardens.
Smooth check in. And great little breakfast included.
Short walk to the nearest restaurant. The bed was pretty hard. Slept great the first night though.
- Yuna (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Spacious bungalows in authentic Mae Chaem. - Our stay at Phu Chaem House was great. The bungalows are spacious with nice balconies where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful mountains. The rooms were clean, and it was convenient to park our car right next to the bungalow. The WiFi is reliable, and the location at the edge of town is easily accessible without needing a 4x4 vehicle. Mae Chaem itself is a hidden gem on the Mae Hong Son Loop, offering incredible hills and mountain views. Its authenticity made our visit even more special. While the town location is convenient, those looking for a more nature-immersive experience might prefer a stay in a more remote spot.
- Sarah (10/5): Excellent value rooms in a beautiful spot - The location, the rural outlook, the big room, the big picture window, the air-con, the warmth of the lady who welcomed me and the man who bid me farewell, the small price, the simple complementary self-service breakfast of toast and jams, tea/coffee, bananas - which put me on till lunchtime. (Chaem Gate restaurant is 9 mins walk or a very short drive for a good and varied dinner menu.) Some beautiful waterfalls and scenic drives in the area if you have time to explore. Nothing. (Yes, the bed has no squishiness at all, but I'd got used to that in Chiang Mai, too, so not a problem; that said, mattress toppers could be a good investment in future if only to encourage people to stay longer.)
- Amanda (8/5): Good value, in a lovely setting with friendly staff - The cabin was clean, had everything I needed including hot water in the shower, shampoo and conditioner, water, extra toilet paper and an extra blanket, which I needed. Staff were friendly and I always love it when they have cats I can pay. They also gave me some water and bananas to take away when my driver came? Which was very sweet of them Roosters!
- Delta (8/5): Very good -
- Rita (5/5): Passable - Location is good Bed is concrete hard
- Jettaya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (8/5): Very good -
- Bryanna (7/5): Nice enough for a one or two night stay. - Location was great, room was nice and clean and had its own parking spot which was nice. Owner was friendly and there was free tea, coffee and toast in the morning which was a nice added bonus. The mattress was beyond firm - probably the hardest bed we’ve ever slept on.
Drainage smelt a little bit but probably normal for the area.
- Keith (7/5): Good - Sadly, we left before breakfast was served.
- Martin (10/5): Perfect stop off on the MHS Loop. - Relaxing stay, very chilled. Host was lovely and even went out on his bike to get us some cold beers! Nothing.
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional - Was fantastic to be back at this wonderful place after 4 years. I came here for 3 days and stayed for 9 weeks. I've stayed at many beautiful places over Thailand but hands down Phu Chaem House is the best in Thailand.
I dont only feel like a guest here I feel like part of the family and Eddy, Addy, Mama, Melodie and Mixer are both my Thai family and good friends.
This time around was the same as last time. Amazing welcome, hospitality, warmth, all modern amenities, great value with a breathtaking view of the countryside.
Thanks again to my Phu Chaem house family from Bazza.
- James (8/5): Good choice in Mae Cham - Friendly staff and comfortable room. Very quiet but close enough by bike to town.
- Ed (10/5): Nice stay in beautifull vilage with view - The room was nice,
The situation is very quiet The corners of the bed

- Basic toast, coffee & tea provided.
- Seating on the terrace. - The toaster was broken but the staff quickly replaced with another working one.

- Norman (8/5): Very good -
- Yosoyyoberdi (9/5): Superb -
- Violetta (10/5): Perfect place to stay near Doi Inthanon - I really liked the location: sort of remote, but still close to the shops and restaurants. Beautiful garden and view. Nice, spacious room, hot water and the WIFI was super good!

- Șerbănescu (9/5): Superb -
- Texashornedfrog (8/5): We had a wonderful stay. This place books up fast. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay again! - The breakfast was breakfast snacks, toasts, and jam. It would have been great to have a kettle in the room to make our own hot coffee - but it was nice they had a really good assortment of coffees and teas in the reception area.
- Thierry (10/5): Perfect choice ! - Bungalows located in a nice garden, with a mountain view. Great place to relax, away from the town center: so quiet and zen. Owner is extremely friendly !!!

Perfect stay for what we were looking for. Room was clean. It’s in a quiet little town with beautiful views. Good restaurant down the road. Bed was a little hard but that’s what we expected for the cost of the stay.
