Nicht nur die Suite war wunderschön eingerichtet und sehr sauber – das gesamte Riad ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet und verbindet authentischen marokkanischen Charme mit einer warmen und einladenden Atmosphäre. Jede Ecke des Hauses strahlt Stil, Ruhe und Persönlichkeit aus. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Geoffroy für die großartige Gastfreundschaft und die perfekte Organisation. Ebenso möchten wir Mourad danken, der sich mit viel Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit um unsere Gäste gekümmert hat und dafür sorgte, dass sie sich rundum wohlgefühlt haben. • Leslie (10/5): A gorgeous Riad in a wonderful location - This is where you want to stay in Fes. Geoffroy is an amazing host. This lovingly restored Riad is his home, and he welcomes you in like a friend. The rooms are gorgeous. You'll eat a wonderful breakfast in the interior courtyard, with music and the sounds of the fountain in the background. The location is great if you have a car. Safe indoor parking is right next door. If you don't know what to do in Fes, Geoffroy has lots of ideas for you. We loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful place. Highly recommend!!

The house itself is stunning—beautifully renovated and decorated with such care and impeccable taste by Geoffroy. It strikes the perfect balance between traditional charm and modern comfort. A huge thank you to Geoffroy and Mouad for being such incredibly kind and attentive hosts. From the moment we arrived until our departure, we felt truly looked after. One of the highlights was the personalized map Geoffroy provided; the tips and recommended stops were spot on and helped us navigate the beauty of Fes perfectly. A few more things we liked: Breakfast: Delicious and fresh. In our case, due to the bad weather, it was served in the stunning covered courtyard lounge, which always had beautiful fresh flowers on the table, but they also have a beautiful rooftop! On our final day, we had to leave early in the morning to reach the desert; they kindly prepared a breakfast bag for us to take on the road, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Location: The riad is perfectly situated. It is tucked away from the noise of the heart of the Medina, yet only a few steps away from all the action. We highly recommend Dar Dalila to anyone visiting Fes. If we ever return to the city, we will definitely stay here again!
• J.M. (10/5): - Wir wurden sehr nett und gastfreundlich empfangen, obwohl wir zu früh angekommen sind. Wir haben für das Smartphone eine Mobile App empfohlen bekommen, mit der wir selbständig durch die verwinkelten Gassen der alten Medina gehen konnten, die Hot Spots als Markierungspunkte und ein paar gute Tipps gleich mit dazu. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll und originalgetreu hergerichtet und hat wie üblich die Fenster aller Zimmer zum Innenhof. Auch bei unserer Abreise schon um 08:00 zeigten sich die Hausherren flexibel und wir haben ein Lunchpaket mit auf den Weg bekommen.

La maison a été rénovée avec tellement de bon goût et d'amour pour les details..c'est juste incroyable ! J'avais un peu peur de voyager toute seule comme femme, mais l'accueil des deux hôtes était tellement chaleureux et rassurant que je me suis senti directement à l'aise et les conseils de Geoffroy étaient très précieux ! Du vrai beurre rendra le petit déjeuner du matin encore plus agréable :)

• Jenny (10/5): - We returned to Dar Dalila, where we'd already spent a week, following a two night mini break in Chefchaouene and as much as we enjoyed Chefchaouene we were perfectly happy to leave knowing what awaited us in Fes. As mentioned in my previous review the riad is exceptionally beautiful, exceptionally elegant, and exceptionally clean and comfortable. Exceptionally. But it's the passion behind it all on the part of Geoffroy the owner (and consummate perfectionist) and the ever smiling, ever courteous, Morad, that gives Dar Dalila its soul. From the moment you walk through the door you' get to leave all your cares behind and revel in an atmosphere that can only be described as magical. The music. The flowers. The candles. The attention to every single detail. It's just wonderful. Just ONE word of warning (and yes, I'm teasing). If, like me, you thought you knew how to make a bed properly, be prepared to learn otherwise. It's a bit of an inside joke but if you ever have the pleasure of staying at Dar Dalila yourself you'll get the joke soon enough. (I'm not sure if it was Geoffroy or Morad who corrected my obviously sub standard bed making attempts each morning but I do suspect that whoever it was did so with the help of a ruler ;) Just one of many reasons why of all the places we've ever stayed it's this one that's truly raised the bar.) On a beaucoup apprécié l'ensemble de l'expérience, qu'il s'agisse du logement où l'on retrouve toute l'âme du Maroc ou de l'amour porté par Geoffroy pour ce lieu. On a également beaucoup apprécié l'ensemble des recommandations faites qui nous permettent de découvrir Fes sous un autre œil.

He has done marvelous work with the riad. Everything is just perfect - the room is big and clean, the breakfast is lovely, the location is perfect. There is no such thing.

• Jenny (10/5): Pure Perfection - I can honestly say that during all our travels Dar Dalila is BY FAR the most STUNNINGLY beautiful, elegant, breathtaking accommodation in which we've ever stayed (and we've stayed in some really lovely places). The architecture, the comfort, the attention to detail, the obvious effort to stay true to the Moroccan history and culture and to showcase the skill of Moroccan artisans, - whose skills are TRULY incredible - all of it just left us enthralled. Around every corner we found something to marvel at - the woodwork, the stonework, the beautiful terrace with its garden and far reaching view, the lamps, the furniture, I could literally go on and on (but won't because honestly? My description of Dar Dalila could never, ever do it justice). And then, of course, there was Geoffroy the owner, aided by the lovely Morad, whose hospitality exceeded any and all expectations and whose generosity of spirit touched our hearts. We arrived as guests but left as friends and it's inconceivable that we would ever return to Fez without returning to Dar Dalila. Stay there yourself and you'll totally understand why that's the case.

The house itself is absolutely stunning - a true Moroccan style home where every room feels like a piece of art. You can clearly see the owner's care and attention to detail in every corner. It feels like living inside a beautifully curated museum, everything is incredibly clean, well maintained and thoughtfully designed. But beyond the beauty of the place, the real treasure is the hosts Geoffrey and Mourad. They are some of the kindest and genuinely warm people I’ve met. They also went above and beyond to make the stay exceptional: great local restaurant recommendations, a helpful guide map of Fez, delicious breakfasts and Moroccan tea, beautiful music throughout the house, rooftop with a stunning view and more. You are missing out if you don’t stay here at least once in your life. I will definitely come back.

• bitnic (10/5): We will definitely not forget this accommodation, we feel so lucky for the choice we made! - We don't think we've ever stayed in a more spectacular accommodation and photographed every corner as in DarDalila! A typical Moroccan house, renovated with such care, using local materials and traditional artisans from the Fes region. And all of this is seen both in the details but also in the warmth and pride with which Geoffrey, the owner, speaks and radiates when guests are amazed by what they see and find when they step through the entrance. The delicious breakfast served in the living room, with the small artesian fountain whispering and relaxing music in the background, is a memory that will always remain in our minds. The wifi signal was very good, the room was also spectacular, the sheets were very clean and the towels were always changed when needed, thanks to Mourad who takes care of everything beeing in order. Geoffrey gave us valuable information about what to visit in the medina and helped us with a Maps.me app to navigate the maze of streets much better. The accommodation is very easy to find, near the BabZiat gate, with a few good restaurants nearby and a max of 10-15 min from the center of the Medina. The period in which we were accommodated was a cold one, especially at night and we had the unpleasant experience that the air conditioning was turned off at night from the general source, we don't know exactly for what reason, probably to protect the electrical installation or consumption. But on the last night we found understanding with our host and we didn't suffer from the cold anymore.

I would also add that Geoffroy makes some incredible food/restaurant recommendations. We would highly recommend this place as the ambience is perfect. It's a gem of a location and very close to Bab Ziat, which is handy for arrival and transfer. Furthermore the location is easy to find if you get a bit lost due to its proximity to Bab Ziat. The photos do not do this place justice! We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Fes.

• Giuditta (10/5): Amazing experience - The stay at Dar Dalila was one of the highlights of our trip and by far the best stay we had in Morocco. Geoffroy and Mourad welcomed us in their beautiful Dar and made us feel at home from the start. The building is incredible. Splendid finishes and furniture throughout that are the result of a full refurbishment they carried out. Our room on the first floor was exceptional. It had high ceilings and amazing decorations that we felt like we were sleeping in a palace. The photos don't give enough justice. Indoor and outdoor areas are clean and we did not experience any noise at night as the Dar is in a quiet neighbourhood. The breakfast was served at 9am (later than usual due to Ramadan) on the terrace overlooking the city. We loved having breakfast with the peacefulness of that view. Also the breakfast was the best we had among all in Morocco, both in quantity and quality of products. Geoffroy is a great host, he spent time getting to know us and providing us with many precious tips to go around Fes. The Dar is conveniently located at walking distance from the main attractions and it is also easily accessible from the road. We hope to visit again!

We just couldn't stop admiring the amazing craftsmanship of the interior. It's a peaceful home filled with love, it's an oasis within a busy city and it's a place where you feel instantly relaxed as soon as you enter the door. The hosts are welcoming and super friendly. The breakfast ist delicious. The rooms are amazing. We had a wonderful time and hope we can come back one day!
• Jasmine (10/5): Like staying in a mini palace! - Staying at Dar Dalila was like staying at a mini palace in Fes. The house is beautiful and Geoffrey and Murad are the best hosts with impeccable taste. They both love to spend time getting to know the guests and helped provide great recommendations in the area. It was definitely a highlight of the trip for me to spend time with the hosts over breakfast and tea. The breakfast is your basic breakfast with breads eggs and coffee/tea but really well put together. Geoffrey also made us the best chocolate cake one day and also packaged a breakfast for the day we were leaving early. The location is a quick 5-7 min walk to the Medina and close to everything. Highly recommend this place if you want to have a place that has the comforts of a home and also luxurious at the same time. The wifi is a bit spotty and the network around the area is not great.

The Dar is superbly renovated with great taste and attention to every detail. If you like architecture and furnitures, you will be served ! We enjoyed our little chats with Geoffrey and Mourad which made us feel like at a friend's house. They gave us very useful tips before exploring the medina on our own. Do not hesitate to stay there.

Tucked in a quiet neighborhood just steps from the main medinas of Fes, staying at Dar Dalila feels like being transported back in time to an exquisite Moroccan palace. Geoffroy has done an incredible job renovating the riad and filling it with gorgeous examples of local craftsmanship and artistry. We enjoyed chatting with Geoffroy and Mourad felt like we were visiting friends. We highly recommend staying at Dar Dalila not only for the beautiful decor but the warm, friendly reception as well.

• Julia (10/5): The perfect stay in Fes - Absolutely beautiful! We felt like we were staying in a palace! Geoffrey & Mourad were so friendly and accommodating, always around to greet us or answer questions. After all we had read about Fes, we were sure we would need to hire a guide to find our way in the labyrinth of a medina…but Geoffroy gave us an incredible itinerary for the day (which we ended up stretching into two days as we wanted to go back and do a couple things at a slower pace after seeing everything and learning our way a bit…and in Fes there always seems to be something new to see!) The breakfast was fantastic and fresh, the room so beautiful and quiet and the dar was VERY easy to find…and easy to direct a cab to (we arrived by train). We are already desperate to return to Morocco - and Fes - someday and would love to stay at this fantastic dar again! Wish we had stayed another day!

His riad is beautifully decorated, with every detail reflecting the care and thought he has poured into it. Staying there felt like being in a royal palace. Breakfast on the rooftop was magical, offering views of the city and a serene atmosphere. Geoffroy was also very attentive—he even packed me snacks for the road on the day I had to leave early for a day trip and couldn’t stay for breakfast. They keep the house spotless and everything is esthetically pleasing which gives your stay a high-end vibe. A calm oasis in the sometimes overwhelming medina. They make you feel like you’re not just a guest but a friend and Geoffrey’s wit and streetsmarts makes for many interesting conversations about all things in life. Combine this with great beds and bedding, hot strong showers and hearty breakfasts and you never want to leave.
• Letizia (10/5): Exceptional - If I could give 100/10, I would. We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The riad is stunning, looks even better than in the pictures. It was beautifully done and decorated, the room was gorgeous and everything was spotless. Mattress is hard, but that's Morocco (I think). Geoffrey and his colleague were both so wonderful, so friendly and insightful (we enjoyed very nice chats during breakfast). Parking was slightly eventful. Use the parking that is suggested, it's literally right around. While it looks a little shady, its all fine. We had to give our key to the guy there so he could manoeuvre it while we were away, also no problem. We paid ahead, not at the end, fyi. Location also really great as you can get there by car (only 20m of driving in the Medina), and from then on everything is very easily reachable on foot. The cherry on the cake: my partner has celiac allergy and Geoffrey baked us a gluten-free cake for breakfast - incredible. Will recommend to all and definitely will come back if we visit Morocco again -

Didn't like how young men in the old Medina..mislead you on the narrow streets just to ask for their help when you get lost so they can charge you for putting you on the right track after!

Geoffroy and Mourad are exceptional guests and very helpful, it’s great to spend time talking to them and sharing experiences about the town and the life in Morocco. This was our best stay in all Morocco! If you book, ask M. Geoffroy to take you on a tour of the house, there are dozens of great stories to tell about each piece of art! You’ll love it! Everything is great. We loved everything.

• Rana (10/5): The best Dar I stayed in Morocco - It was magical! Every detail was thought of very well, the design and the furniture of the place is mesmerizing. The host was super friendly and treated us like family. We had to leave at 7 am the last day which was before the breakfast time but the host didn't want to let us go without food, so he prepared some snacks for us to take on the way. I have no complaints except that the Wi-Fi was a little slow.

We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Fez, wanting to feel at home and among friends :) Nothing, everything was beyond our expectations.

Think crown over the bed, fountain in the living room, ancient artifacts, interior made by the very same people who crafted the decorations of the Moroccan royal palace... Add to that intelligent friendly hosts who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Ok, now this hotel is like that, probably even better. Just put ticks in all your boxes and book the room while it's available. We had to leave at the end!
