Well appointed, super comfortable, friendly and helpful host and the most beautiful garden, pool and terrace. An idillyc, wonderful home from home. The frog chorus was utterly hilarious and charming. • Sue (10/5): An excellent apartment, but the swimming pool and garden make this place exceptional. - Casa Azul is a truly magical place to stay. Fiona was a wonderful host, making us feel very welcome and it was a treat to find home-made orange marmalade and cookies waiting for us in the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, the apartment comfortable and clean, though we spent most of our time outside enjoying the environment and garden; whether you like sun or shade, there are lots of places to relax. The frogs were in full throttle during our stay, which made it all the more entertaining, but the biggest treat was swimming in the natural pool. We hope to return one day. Nothing, it was perfect.

• Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Everything we needed and more at Casa Azul. The apartment was lovely, modern and clean with everything we needed for our stay. Thanks especially for the homemade pizza night made in the pizza oven. The pool was great and enjoyed talking to the frogs.
• Justin (10/5): B - Perfect little get away, private but not remote, modern yet with character Fiona and Steve's property is a true sanctuary, it's close enough to the small town to pop to the shops or head to a bar, but secluded enough that you arent bothered by any noise or traffic. It is easy to find as their directions are accurate and it's close to the main Tomar to Coimbra toll road. This road is very quiet with little in the way of traffic so you dont hear any road noise at the property. Their accommodation gives you privacy to just go with the flow at your own pace but if you need them they are just a quick shout up to their balcony above. The bedroom has everything you would expect and is very quiet as its effectively half built into the hill side. The bathroom is spacious and well appointed with a bath and shower as well as the WC. Kitchen lounge area has all the bits you need to cater for yourselves and all the appliances are easy to use. Fiona also includes a little welcome pack of teas, coffee pods etc, but just check with her first. We also found we didnt have to buy salt, pepper, some dried herbs etc as these were already there. There is an outside BBQ if you want to use it but it was so hot that we mostly existed on salads and fish. Outside of your front door (you have your own door) is the seating area with adequately sized and comfortable chairs as well as rafita garden furniture. A couple of comfy sun loungers are there for you to use by the pool. In the morning we would have our coffee and toast (with Fionas excellent orange marmalde) on the outside table, enjoying the morning Ray's of sunshine, but the veranda also provides plenty of shade in the hotter parts of the day as well. The pool is a nice combination of wildlife, plant life area and your swimming area. They are seperated by a mesh but, yes, you get the odd tadpole, Newt or frog exercises in the human side.
