Guest Reviews
- Julie (8/5): - Very quiet area and kept very tidy beds need to be updated and a quick lick of paint but we would stay again
- Soha (10/5): - We had a lovely time and felt very welcomed and accommodated
- Stephanie (10/5): Nice site - Had a great time in this lovely site . The accommodation was fairly small.
Had Everything we needed though .
Lovely staff welcoming and a nice guy doing the bins and cleaning windows etc .
- Paul (10/5): - Another great break on the island
- ADRIAN (10/5): - Great location and the site is very quiet (except when our terriers decided to bark at any thing passing by
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and comfortable. Lovely quiet location.
- Jay (10/5): - Great base for a holiday on the island, with nice walks to beaches, pubs and local shops near by. The accommodation is well kept and has everything someone self catering would need. The reception staff were great to deal with and really helpful. Very happy with our stay.
- Ermal (10/5): - Amazing very good,
Clean place , very quiet and relaxing
- Arun Sheshadri (10/5): - Wonderful Experience and I would give 5 start accommodation then advertise as 4 star
- Sumeet (6/5): Scope for Improvement - Stay was OK, not bad but at the same time nothing great.
No cafe or food options or entertainment available inside the property.
It's inside and commute is not easy.
Communication issues, no mobile connections, wifi is paid and does not make sense.
- Philip (10/5): Great Customer Service - Greeted by a very friendly and professional lady on reception. I travel alot and believe you don’t see this everyday. Ideal for the night / weekend trip. I’d need a more comfortable sofa if was going to stay the week. But still 100% stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bed/sofas uncomfortable - Accommodation with kitchen and setup was what I was after but the bed and sofas was awful to sit on and sleep in. Not what I needed after a hard days work.
- Christopher (10/5): Relaxing - Quaint, cute and peaceful
- Nicola (10/5): - The property sat in a nature reserve which was the habitat for wildfowl and particularly lots of geese. It’s a peaceful place to stay and the team are friendly and helpful, offering advice on places to visit or eat.
We had a very relaxing and restful time.
- Suzanne (10/5): Family break - Stayed in 4 bedroom house, perfect for an adult family of 6 and our dog. 3 bathrooms so 1 per couple worked well.
- melvyn (10/5): 1 week in September - Our stay for 1week was really nice we just used our accommodation as a base to explore the island.Accommodation was very clean and everything you needed could of done with some tongs in the kitchen for cooking breakfast under the grill sofas I found a little uncomfortable as you couldn’t rest your head back and relax but other than that a very enjoyable week in a two bedroom accommodation
- Ruth (10/5): - Great location and easy to walk to Ryde, St Helens and beaches.
- Clive (8/5): - The location was great, the staff were very good, we were comfortable however said as comfortable as we were the premises are bssic and showing their age.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location, property very nice would recommend
- Lyn (8/5): - Excessive cost of Wi-fi. Told it was available at The Blue Cafe, but this was never open while we were there.. Although we did not need them, the cost of extra towels seemed over the top.
- Mayur (10/5): - Me and my family have a very good experience staying at SEAVIEW HOLIDAYS.
Without any hesitation I would fully recommend to all families to book there. Every time I will book there only, only 1 minutes walking distance from where I was staying at the house. One Indian restaurant was only 5 minutes away by walk , Tesco extra supermarket only 7 minutes away by car. Everything was there, my kinds enjoyed a lot 10/10* to SEA VIEW HOLIDAYS.
- Graham (8/5): Lovely place to stay - It was a lovely stay and the accommodation was good. The only down side was that you had to pay for Wi-Fi and the network coverage was bad, and so this was necessary.
- Ann (10/5): Brilliant - Our stay was just lovely. The location is wonderful. It is so easy to walk into Ryde, or to use public transport that we parked up when we arrived and didn't touch the car again till we left. One unexpected delight was the night sky - relatively little light pollution meant it was possible to see the stars.
The cottage itself was lovely - very clean & well equipped. The staff in Reception were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful. This time we stayed for 4n, next time I would like 7 or 14,
- Claire (10/5): Lovely holiday and excellent location - We were upgraded on arrival to a larger property which was a lovely surprise. Had a great stay, location is excellent. Property was exceptionally clean. Reception staff were very helpful.
- Anthony (10/5): Cute, comfortable and Clean - Sea view is a beautiful and really comfortable place to stay. We absolutely loved it and would definitely go back to stay again
- Nitesh (8/5): - Overall good. Nice location. Bed could be better.
- Lorraine (8/5): - Well equipped and clean. Lovely big decked area although the weather meant we could only use it twice. Downstairs loo needs tiling to stop mildew on paint. Mattresses well past their best although they did all have a topper. Can get very noisy as all pathways are gravel
- mark (8/5): - We loved the location of our chalet. Looking out over the field on the right of the photo. About 100 Wild Barnacle Geese flew in almost every day!
We liked that our dog could come with us (- extra cleaning fee for dog)
The Reception staff were v friendly and helpfull. All essentials could be purchased from the reception shop.
We didnt like the fact that wifi in the chalet had to be purchased as an extra, but one of the owners explained he had had to pipe it in at great expense, then lockdown happened!
Free wifi was available at the on- site cafe though .
We had a thoroughly enjoyable 9 night stay. A great base to explore the island from, or just sit on the sheltered beaches nearby. 🙂
- Lily (8/5): - Good
- Yubaraj (10/5): - Stayed two night. Accommodation was pretty basic but everything was to the required standard. Telephone signal was very poor in the area particularly three was almost nonexistent. I had to pay £8 data for two days.
- Anita (10/5): - very nice
complex in a beautiful surrounding
- Tracey (10/5): Quiet and very clise to Seaview seafront. - Lovely and quiet holiday complex very close to seafront and bird sanctuary. Very helpful and friendly staff with small shop with forgotten essentials!
- JOHN (10/5): - Spent a great week here, and the place is so relaxing ,cottages were very nice....would def recommend it.....
- Sandra (8/5): Amazing Location - Our first experience of Seaview Hoildays on this beautiful relaxed Isle of Wight.. 5 minute walk to the beach and pubs/restaurants not much further. The accommodation is adequate for a holiday clean chalet a little tired and a really uncomfortable bed. Really disappointed that in this day and age that the WiFi was chargeable £23 for 1 week but necessary as the phone signal is very poor. But the negative aside location gets 5 stars 10 mins to Bembridge or Ryde also Tesco Superstore with Petrol Station also the same time. Hopefully with this being the year of the Staycation they will invest in some new mattresses and updates. Would we stay there again yes definitely.
- Dean (10/5): Lovely stay - Really lovely stay, the location is perfect. The property was really clean and had all the facilities you’d expect. We really appreciated the extras too such as teas and coffees. The information pack was full of places to visit. The staff were really friendly. Recommend to anyone wishing to visit the Isle of Wight.
- C (10/5): Chris E - A lovely clean and quiet location that was both well managed and well located.
Will be staying there again upon our next visit.
- Engrid (10/5): - Good place, quiet. Near the seaside. Highly recommend.
- Simon (10/5): - Staff where very nice and couldn’t ask for more from a family getaway. Can’t wait to go back again.
- Daniel (8/5): Perfect cottage for us and the dog. - We booked this as a last minute break and needed a somewhere dog friendly.
Seaview was very reasonably priced and was perfect for our trip.
Check in was easy (in fact they rang to say we could check in early which was great)
The 2 bed cottage was perfect for our trip, good location, not far for the sea and on a nice quiet nature reserve. It was clean and comfortable and just the right size for us and the dog. The kitchen had everything we needed as we did eat there a few times.
The wifi was great, you do have to pay for it but it was worth it as we had some wet days and we were able to download movies quickly so very useful.
Overall we loved our trip and would definitely recommend the Seaview Holiday Park.
- Brian (10/5): Covid free base for couples - This is an ideal base for a couple looking to get away from WFH and is only 15/20 minutes away from the Fishbourne ferry, plus Tesco superstore is only a short drive inland. Other places of interest never seemed that far away and you can safely get around the island on quiet roads.
The two bedroom bungalow we stayed in was small but comfortable with a fridge, microwave and oven etc. There is Internet but at a high cost which in my opinion should be included in the accommodation rental!
Would strongly recommend The Boathouse if you like real ale (Goddards Brewery ales), The Old Fort for food and the Isle of Wight gin distillery for food and beverages which can be accessed directly from the site via the Lane at the back of the Seaview property if you have good shoes and fit enough to walk - otherwise a short drive.
This was our first visit and definitely not the last to IOW.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Family Break @ Seaview - Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Lots of space for our family of 5.
- Wendy (10/5): - The property was in a great location. The staff were really welcoming, and had taken great care to ensure everyone was kept safe
- Mel (10/5): - Love the location, really close to the beach! Amenities were amazing too with the exception of the wifi but we still love the place!
- samantha (8/5): - Everything was lovely apart from lack of hairdryer and the tv not having great reception
- Heike K. (10/5): Seaview - Sehr schöne, saubere kleine Wohnung in einer gemütlichen nicht erdrückenden Anlage. Leider keine Spülmaschine und wenig Geschirr. Ansonsten sehr gute Ausstattung.
Vermieter sehr nett, Kommunikation super! Nettes Cafe mit wlan in der Anlage. 3 Minuten zum Meer, Seaview ist ein toller Ort. Radwege wenige, jedoch ist Radfahren gut möglich.
- Daniel (10/5): Good family holiday. - Nice location near the beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location near the beach and nature reserve. Sea view itself is lovely with a great beach and cafes and a community shop. We would love to stay again but in a larger property. The only downside was cars driving past the chalets on the gravel driveway which was quite noisy.
- PM (10/5): - Lovely location and quietness. It was the perfect place to unwind
- Verified traveler (8/5): Scenic - good for nature lovers - Seaview Holiday Park - Pros: Beautiful location, quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced, clean and well equipped accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good decked outside space to front and rear of cottage with seating areas. Beach, coastal walks/shops within 5/10 minutes walk. (Nice cafe - the Dell at Puckpool Sands, approx 20 min walk along the promenade - left, past the Boathouse Pub).
Cons: Had to use wifi at Blue Cafe onsite as no signal for Network 3. Also had to park car on a field approx 200m from cottage so had to be organised (blue badge holders could park outside accommodation). Road outside cottage was pebbled so any traffic churned up the stones and was very noisy. We were lucky the site was quiet (June 2019) but I imagine this and noise from adjoining neighbours could be a problem in peak season. Although a good size, the beds were too soft and caused back-ache (could just be me!).
Eating out: We would recommend French Franks cafe in Cowes, Newport and Ryde for lunch (tasty, affordable food) and the Spy Glass Inn at Ventnor for evening meal - stunning views!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This beautiful property was so peaceful and calm, a treat to stay and I can't wait to book for next years holiday!
- richard (8/5): Beautiful quiet but needs some comforts. - We had a great week here it is a very beautiful site next to a nature reserve and a 5 min walk to the sea. It was quiet and the people were very polite. A lack of phone signal and WiFi was frustrating for streaming a movie at night (the WiFi mentioned in the description is central to the site and not worth bothering with at 0.5Mbs). Some good pubs in the area though. The property itself had lovely decking front and back but nothing comfortable to relax on.
- Jan&Jane (10/5): - I. A great location close to walks and nature reserve, can walk the coastal path to Ryde and beyond.
Property in clean and well kept ample of heating for those chilly nights, looks as though it has had a full refurbish.
Stayed here 22 years ago and won’t leave it that long again will come back next year in summer.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location and overall standard of the accommodation were very good. However, we all found that our beds were very uncomfortable - hard and very noisy when you turned over. A lack of sleep rather took the gloss off what was otherwise an enjoyable stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to beach & nearly Tesco exta - Only problem mobile network & Wi-fi over all nice cottages
