Can see some work is being done Room was extremely basic with bunk beds not comfortable not very clean could hear everything even owner telling residents to stop or they leave. Definitely won’t be staying again as we left during night 230 as had enough

Which is so disgusting given the beds are right next too it. No towels to have a shower even though it states on the description Filthy rooms with dirty bed sheets We were woken in the night by someone kicking a door in and it sounded like he had to dragged out the building. DO NOT GO HERE WITH CHILDREN!! Soon as you walk into the property you are met with a room full of people who are clearly living in there. And one of them thinks it's OK to stand having a pee in the shared bathroom with the door wide open for everyone too see. The description on booking.com is all lies and definitely doesn't describe the rooms. Place wants closing.

Carl (9/5): A Little Gem - The owners were very friendly and everything was ready for us when we arrived The room was clean and had a kettle also had a bunk bed as well as a double bed The hotel is close to all the sites and only minutes walk to the beach Your own toilet and wash basin is a bonus Kids games room is a nice touch and a great spot to chill whilst the kids play pool or board games Shared bathroom wasn't ideal but you are aware this is the case at the point of booking so it's not a surprise

Rowan-Lee (10/5): The Merlin hotel 😊 - Manager and manager in training both really nice decent guys. Everything's okay. It's heating is a little too cold needs the radiators bleeding probably. Other than that nice atmosphere quiet at night so get decent night's sleep, love the place it's a safe place to stay.

Society (3/5): Loud and intoxicated owners and people shouting at the front doorstep. - Lot's of beds to fit everyone The owners and other people staying were rowdy and unpredictable and the police were called.There was laughing shouting and hollering until 5am. There is black mould behind the curtains and the plugs spark.

David (1/5): Wouldn’t recommend coming to this hotel to anyone - Nothing The hotel living standards are not what you expect in a hotel the are very much below and cleanliness is not up to a hygiene standard either also my room door was not secure
thomas (3/5): As a last choice it’s better than sleeping on a bench. - It is very central Paper thin walls, poor maintenance, low cleanliness. Every door had a sign on it saying “please don’t slam the doors” whilst also having strong automatic door closers that ripped them out of your hand and slammed them shut. The tarmac outside is actually mouldy carpet. There’s stains on every surface. The mattress was the cheapest possible and clearly very old. The room stank of smoke not because someone smoked in it but because the manager stood in the courtyard outside smoking under the window. Hotels / guest-houses sink or swim on the basics- be clean, safe, comfortable and almost anything else can be forgiven. Be mouldy, stained, cold, noisy and mouldy and there’s no discount that makes the stay worthwhile. I wish this was better because there is so much potential.

Leon (1/5): Never again. - Comfort Men running up and down the corridor, shouting at each other all night long. Leak from upstairs that soaked the beds. Inability of management to fix the leak or move us. He said it was the upstairs shower leaking and he didn't have access to stop shower or leak. But he seemed to look after all the other noisy young men ok. No parking for visitors. Steep steps outside.
