- Joanne (10/5): Highly recommend this venue and we will be back! - The team at Foresters have to be amongst the best in the world. Both before and after our stay, the communications were top notch, and they went the extra mile for us. The pub itself had excellent food, drinks, atmosphere and staff while the accommodations were cozy, comfy, well-appointed, clean and warm. The room was incredibly quiet given it was directly above the front entrance and outdoor seating area of the pub. We left some items in the room when we left, and the team were very accommodating at forwarding them back to me on the other side of the world! Not a single thing! Absolutely fantastic stay!

The staff were fantastic and were especially caring towards allergies and intolerances at the pub downstairs. The food was fantastic as well!! It’s really close to the train station and only a few stops away from Twickenham. Would 100% recommend and stay again. N/a

It was a short walk from Hampton Court Palace and a stone throw from the river. Perfect location. It would have been great to start the day with a breakfast but that wasnt really an issue as there was a perfect little cafe when we vacated the room.

- Gordon (8/5): Convenient comfortable pub stay in SW London region. - Nice comfortable room. Convenient location to access tourist activities in the area and public transport. Good food available in pub downstairs, for lunch and dinner. A bit noisy at times being on the High Street and being over a pub but slept well enough even so. No breakfast service but good proximity to local cafes.

Great vibe in the pub downstairs, but also quiet at night, even with the windows open. It was exceptionally hot (30+) during our stay - it was great that there was a fan supplied, but it was still a very warm night even with the windows open!

- Brogan (8/5): Good stay! - Perfectly acceptable room, bed was comfortable and big towels for the shower and all the amenities you could need coffee / tea etc. Traffic noise outside all dies down around 10pm so no problem there for sleeping. Very pleasant staff, would happily stay again. Unfortunately, I stayed during a heatwave and the room was way too hot. They provided a fan but it simply just blew hot air around. Opened the windows and it did cool down during the night but bear this in mind.

Good size room and comfortable bed. The hotel is situated at an intersection of a busy road and so there is a bit of traffic noise

When I booked this it was for an event at Hampton Court Palace- it’s further away than suggested (30-40 min walk). Hampton Wick has a few pubs (including this one) and they’re all nice. Would stay here again.

- Margaret (8/5): A pleasant alternative to staying in the busier Kingston-on-Thames. - Tastefully refurbished with the original brick walls standing. The provision of toiletries, water and so on had been thoughtfully provided. It is situated on a corner of the high street and we got some noise at night.

Easily ubered back Good pub downstairs. A couple meals one beef and wild mushroom pie, another Sunday roast.

- Ben (8/5): Great value, excellent service, comfortable rooms - Visited with my partner and elderly mother. Wasn’t sure what to expect but impressed. Very clean, looks recently decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do more to help. Special shout out to the young lad that checked us in and served us at the bar as well as the gentleman who help my mum up the stairs. Pretty sure he worked there! Only criticisms would be the need for a hand rail on the stairs as they’re are quite steep and being able to adjust the heat. The rooms were very warm. After a long journey we decided to eat at the pub below. Food was excellent and great value. Think it’s 10% off for guests.

Very close to both the train station and bus stop (300m) The bed was really comfortable. At room only it wasn’t the best value for money and there was no option for breakfast had we wanted some. The towels were small. The light in the bathroom was on all night with the outline shining through the doorframe. and we couldn’t see a switch to turn it off.
- James (9/5): Overall very good, would recommend it to anyone. - T By far the biggest asset of the property is the staff. Without exception friendly, professional and efficient. From the manager to all the staff they helped give us a truly memorable evening. I would highlight Ellie who was there from Checkin to dinner, nothing was too much trouble and her genuine smile really set the tone. The menu was good and varied, quality very good and delivered in a timely manner The room was clean and recently decorated. It was however quite small for two people, and the shower was cramped for a larger person! Although I understand, lack of parking and limited trains do make travel planning even more important. Perhaps an Uber account or taxi contact could ease this.

- Cameron (3/5): Very disappointed. - Lovely food served in the pub which rooms are above. Manager and staff very friendly in the pub. Great varied menu. Room was shabby. Carpet on walls, black satin draped material covering ceiling. Very dark room. No wardrobe had to hang clothes on hanger on back of door this would be ok for a night or two I suppose. Room very dusty; bed in an alcove which meant my husband had to climb across the bed to get is as not enough room to get over and the slide I slept had a narrow gap which was dusty; we tried to speak to manager but couldn’t as pub wasn’t open at check out time, we knocked to speak to him about our issues but no answer. The owner has since been quite dismissive comments on messenger asking me to remove a review on trip advisor. I’m not a complainer but with these issues and spending £300 for two nights it wasn’t cheap, I feel that people have a right to know the truth. I refused to shower as it was rusty and full of lime scale. The bathroom was also tiny and you couldn’t bend down to the sink rinse teeth once brushed.

The shower 🚿 was unbelievable along with shampoo and conditioner ... The location is perfect for a shopping trip at Riverside across the bridge over the River Thames 🏞️ ... Or a walk down the river after dark under the lanterns ... Take a trip to Hampton Court Palace ⛲ ... Simple bus SL7 all the way from as far as Croydon. The entrance is literally round the side of the pub but enough as not to hear anything ... All the staff were so polite, the atmosphere was unmatched, all the locals and on Rememberance Sunday 🎖️Such a beautiful building! Literally fell in love with this place, can't fault anything! 🌟 Can't wait to come back and explore some more ... 😊

They are also a decent size and the bathrooms are good. Only issue is lack of AC, but that’s typical of this type of accommodation. No AC.

- Emma (6/5): Good location, great bar. Rooms need a little investment - The location was great, few minutes from the station and walking distance to Kingston and bars/ restaurants along the Thames. Food and drink in the pub itself was great albeit expensive. The bar staff were lovely and the clientele were too. The housekeeping was really good. The room was very small, very little space to move and it was a sweat box. We had a fan but it didn't do much. For the price, air conditioning should be considered. The kettle was covered in limescale so I couldn't use it. Another easy thing to replace to make a difference for the next guests.
