- Bernard (8/5): Convenient and comfortable stay. -
- Grethe (Margaretha Johanna) (1/5): Vreselijk ervaring - Oneerlijke gastvrouw

- Robert (10/5): Perfect, very very nice - Friendliness of staff at check-in
Location
Comfortable
Fridge in the room Curtains that let light through
- Leon (9/5): - Very comfortable Place!!
- Ines (6/5): Good place to stay for 1 or 2 nights if you don’t expect luxury and just need a good nights sleep. - Basic but safe, warm, comfortable beds and good location. A little dated interior and no included breakfast.
- Pamela (5/5): When a stay over to catch a ferry is needed it is fine -

- Ryan (10/5): -
- Mckie (3/5): Not recommended - Nothing Toilet dirty with skidmarks. Shower cubicle filthy. Radiator had dirty marks. Down stairs stank of pot. Had to go next door to St. ANNES to pay for our stay which seemed rather dodgie. Also cold in side. Would not recommend to anyone. I took pictures of the dirt.
- Paul (6/5): - Yes
- Pavlo (10/5): - Nice apartment
- Tina (8/5): Prima für Durchreise - Prima gelegen, schönes Haus, praktikabel eingerichtet Undichte Fenster, im Sommer ok. Im Winter vermutlich weniger schön

- Jeremy (9/5): Convenient, traditional British boarding house. Quiet, only 3 minutes walk to town centre - Nice room. Large, old style boarding house
- Elizabeth (5/5): Good location, comfy bed, but housekeeping need to keep their voices down! - Very comfy bed, great location, generous supplies of tea and coffee. General good level of cleanliness. Pleasant view from room over garden. Housekeeping shouting to each other from 8.30am on the Sunday! I worked in hotels for years and this is unbelievably poor behaviour for a weekend morning when guests will be sleeping! Fridge also did not work and was dirty inside.
- Massimo (8/5): -
- Alessandro Epifani (6/5): -
- Izabella (10/5): - Good price (as for Scotland ) , comfortable room, nice host - we were late due to road issues and we still could check in -
- Karin (5/5): - Die Lage.
- Ian (5/5): It was fit for purpose but read the small print before booking - There was no toilet in the room only a shower and sink which surprised me as I booked a family room for extra space. The toilet was shared on the landing with 2 other rooms. No hot breakfast option which is fine as lots of cafes nearby.

- rolf (2/5): - Ok, So we had to book in at a different guest house, clearly inconveniencing whoever booked us in, judging by the prickly reception. The triple rooms single beds mattress clearly had, had its day. the shared shower room (which was a surprise as I thought we had an ensuit) had other residents washing drying on the shower rail. Breakfast was in a third guest house. and at 0730min the morning we couldnt get in the door was looked. My children were standing in the street shivering. So we walked about the town for half an hour until another resident let us in.
Other than ms frosty we saw no other staff in the two days we were there. I cant say that I enjoyed the scotish hospitality on this trip. If I ever go back to Oban. I'll be sleeping in my car. Don't stay here.
- Hugo (1/5): Terrible value for money, and just bad all round - The location was well situated in the main street of Oban. It was within easy walking distance of everything, and parking was easy to sort whilst we brought bags up to the room. That was the only good part of the stay Where to begin. We were so disappointed with the stay we made other arrangements so that we didn't have to stay the second night. When we first arrived we went accidentally into the main door to the guest house which was quite nicely decorated with a Scottish theme but when we instead went to the correct door, it was dark, dank and had uneven floors with ill fitting carpet. The room itself was the biggest disappointment, the mattresses on the bed were thin and felt very old, you could feel each spring. There was only 1 light, as the ones on the wall were broken so, as a family of 5, we either had to keep the children awake or just all go to bed at the same time. The room's door slams every time its opened, unless you catch it so managed to wake up another room by going to the loo. Also didn't feel particularly secure as the door onto the road seemed to be unlocked the entire time and the lock on the door appeared flimsy. The room is advertised as no frills but at £170 a night (and we effectively paid £170 not to have to stay there a second night) I expected an awful lot more.
- AMANDA (4/5): The description was lacking.. - Looking at the descriptions of the room, it’s very deceptive because I had no idea that we would have a shared bathroom. It makes it a point to say when there’s a private bathroom, but it seems to omit that from the shared bathroom. For three people the room was extremely small I get it’s a budget hotel but I would’ve paid the extra money to have my own bathroom. Otherwise it is a great location.. I’m sure the rooms that have private restrooms are probably much better and hopefully a little bit larger.
- Katie (4/5): Not as expected - The location was fine though it is off the main road which is quite busy. The accommodation was disappointing based on the price. The bed was not comfortable and the shared bathroom had loose floor tiles.
- laurenzia (5/5): -
- walker (5/5): Nothing much to say - Good location . No toilet paper in the bathroom. Had to buy our own. That's all I can say really.
- Scott (1/5): - Nothing Everything

Insgesamt leider keine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.
- Anthony (8/5): - The room had an ensuite, though it was a bit cramped. The bed was okay, but a bit soft for me.
You had an option of a continental breakfast, but the breakfast room was at another associated property 2 doors down.
It was within walkimg distance of the town centre.
- Seamus (2/5): -
- Brieuc (3/5): - Location : right in the center of Oban Common toilets, good luck to anybody arriving outside reception time.
Reception is the guesthouse next door.
Extremely noisy.
- Pat (6/5): Stay in Oban - Actually stayed next door so cannot review the Arbour Guest house
No breakfast was included
Room was small but adequate
Unusual layout with the sink next to the bed
- Catriona89 (1/5): Never again - The view from the family room
Family room decent size
Would be good for back packers Wasn't very clean, found white powder over walls, and found butter knife in drawer covered in powder in twin room. Had booked both rooms in one house and ended up in two different houses as couldn't put a parent and teenager in a double room in the same house, they had over booked twin room in house we where in. Twin room was tiny, didn't have couch like it was supposed to. The bathroom in one house had a rag dripping liquid in the bathroom, I have no idea what it was. Not family orientated at all, the family room had 5 single beds, no double bed. Didn't bother with breakfast as the price was ridiculous for what you get. The bathroom had a spray to wipe it down but didn't have any clothes to use to wipe it down. The twin room was extremely clostraphobic, and the window view was of a wall. The family room had no wardrobe. Extremely strict, not allowed takeaways in the room, which was extremely inconvenient as we couldn't find anywhere that could seat all 7 of us that were staying there. In the family room only the big light thay worked, the small lights on the wall had no light bulbs which isn't good when you have young children who are scared of the dark. It's more like a hostel than a guest house. Ended up only staying one night
- Karen (7/5): Good option before taking the ferry - Location for taking the ferry at Oban is perfect
The owner went above and beyond to help my daughter get her charger back
Had rooms for three Beds were a bit worn but serviceable. Everything is a bit tired but clean
- kadam (10/5): oban trip was made beautiful - amzing staff and they are so helpful property is clean
- Thomas (2/5): - Sorry to say, but there was really absolutely nothing we liked about this place. From the staff to the room, to noisy disturbances for the whole night. everything was horrible. At least they could avoid vacuum cleaning at 8.00 AM on a Sunday just in front of the room. Sorry. Just try to avoid this property.
- Miticalu (6/5): Oban hospitality not so good - La posizione e la vista mare Il bagno in comune, non funzionavano le abat-bajour, poche sedie, moquette polverosa
- Carla (6/5): It was fine — nothing very memorable - Location was great — easy to walk to downtown The receptionist wasn’t terribly friendly. We were also told to bring cash specifically for the room, which we did (with some hassle) and when we arrived, were told we could pay with a card
- Michael (4/5): -
- Karin (6/5): - Good location. It suited our needs. Just stayed for one night. Well cleaned. The bed was very hard
- Gongala (2/5): Nie wieder - Sehr gute Lage.
- Andrew (2/5): Worst hotel - Worst hotel ive ever stayed at
The room was tiny bed broke.
Washing machine banging at 7am
Hear every word from another room
Tv size of a tablet
Mold in bathroom
Bed stunk
Honestly worst 2 nights ive ever had
Phoned the reception to say no hot water
The reply i had (are you sure because no one else complained)
Had no shower in the morning
And it was back in after i complained in the after
£190 for 2 nights wasnt worth it at qll
- Thomas (4/5): -
- Germano (8/5): - Tutto perfetto
- Mateja (8/5): -
- Jitka (6/5): -
- Emily (5/5): A dry place to lay your head but I won't be staying there again. - The property was very conveniently located. The property was not well maintained - the carpets were curling up, the locks were not solidly on the wall or trustworthy. The bed had a dip in the middle so we both kept rolling into the middle of the bed.
- Alicja (9/5): Comfy place close to the city . - Very comfy beds, quit place , good contact with reception , close to centre . Is not i don’t like it . But dream in this place will be some kitchen area . All rest is really good in this price .
- Monica (8/5): - Large clean room with shared bathroom (it wasn’t clear this was the case when booking, but the other room was unoccupied). Fantastic location, quiet. Good value for money.
- Milda (6/5): - Location good enough. The bunk beds were falling apart, luckily my husband had a screwdriver in his pocket knife. Everything in the room was in very torn condition.
- Wouter (3/5): Geen aanrader, miserabel - Het water is zacht, lakens zijn gewassen Hygiëne was twijfelachtig
- Kirsten (4/5): Sentralt men slitent - Sentralt Litt fillete. Hadde trengt oppussing.
- pautassi (7/5): - La ubicacion
- Sandte (8/5): -
- Zarko (8/5): -
- Andrew McMillan (8/5): - Location, size of room, and wifi access. Tv reception was poor.
- Ian (7/5): OBAN - Central location None
- Susan (3/5): Room with no parking - It was local so easy to get to town. The room was clean.although could do with a lick of paint! The fact that they don't tell you there's no where to park if you come by car. I asked the woman on arrival where to park, she said up the road. The truth is there's no where to park,l couldn't find a place for to park for any length of time They have parking meters double yellow lines, and a hefty penalty fine of £500 if you park across from main parking area in town. I asked a local lady if there was any where to park for free overnight, she said their is no free parking , unless you park miles from where your staying.l think that's very bad on the part of Arbour hotel owners to not point that out in booking that only suitable for visitors who don't have a car.
Ps
How can you have a holiday if you spend it trying to find a parking place!😡
- Mike (4/5): - Great location, 5 min walk from Oban centre.
Cheapish.
Nice owner, very helpful and accommodating and a very nice cleaner. Twin bed in the attic was uncomfortable and room small. Toilet outside the room had no ventilation, very smelly after someone used it.
2nd night in a larger ground floor room was much better.
You'll need to check where your staying as there are stairs, 2 flights to attic rooms.
The rooms at the front are affected by traffic noise, if you have the windows open at night.
Public carpark within 2 minutes walk. If your lucky you can park in the street.
- Shona (4/5): - It’s ok room and inside but so angry that no one we let us to use toilet in first place Small and can’t use toilet.
- Eric Hansen (8/5): Overall, very nice. I'd stay here again. - Short walk downtown. Parking was nearby, although paid during the day. Twin room was tight but adequate for two. Bathroom was only shared with 2 other rooms and was in good shape. Square box shower as in so many other places. Breakfast was in another building next door. Not a big deal.
- Martin (8/5): -
- Joyce (7/5): A chandelier adventure - Location convenient for Oban town.
Very comfortable beds. Light bulb not working in toilet.
Found the shower difficult to adjust heat
- Nuria (8/5): - Feia molta calor a l'habitació
- Nuria (9/5): -
- James (9/5): -
- cameron (10/5): -
- Sandra (5/5): Lovely Oban - Location was good. Room needed
a lot of TLC
- Meg (5/5): We will not be back. - We like that the accommodation was walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The fridge didn’t work and was smelly, only one key per room, the bed was very uncomfortable.
- veronique (9/5): -
- Sigrid (4/5): Zimmer akzeptabel, sanitäre Einrichtungen nicht. - Altes Haus.
