The saloon-style door between bedroom and en suite MUST be changed to a standard door for obvious rrasons (noise/smell/privacy). Also not sure if the security measures with regards to the doors are over-zealous or not (I don't know the area but it seems like a quiet suburban street). Certainly more security than we've experienced.this holiday. See above.

- Cindy Joy Olivier (4/5): - Excellent location, close to restaurants, shops and main roads. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Beautiful house, lovely, serene atmosphere. The floor in the passage and especially in our room creaked very loud with each movement. We literally didn't even want to go to the bathroom because we felt so bad for other guests that may be disturbed. We could hear movements of other guests, like doors closing very loudly and I do realize it is an old house, I didn't expect silence but, it is unpleasant to be whispering and tip toeing in your bedroom whilst on holiday. Breakfast could do with some attention... Maybe at least a fruit added. Please inform guests if you dont supply a bottle of water per guest per day, we came home late night and we didn't have a drop to drink and we were unsure of the safety of the tap water, I expected water to be refilled (my bad as I am so used to receiving water daily when we stay) Fresh towels and bed sheets 😐 we were asked on our 3rd day if we wanted our sheets changed and if we needed clean towels, I do apologize if I sound petty but because I checked reviews before I booked, my expectations were unfortunately not met.

The pool was glorious and room so spacious and cool in the very hot summer. The rain shower in the bathroom was wonderful and my room was spotless. Bed was very comfortable and linen great! Can’t wait to return Nothing! Everything exceeded my expectations
- Elizabeth (10/5): Absolutely great stay. - So many things to love. Wendi is a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make your stay perfect. The rooms are all individually decorated with antique furniture and stunning high ceilings. Breakfast was extremely good, freshly made while you wait along with toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juice etc. Didn’t actually use the pool as we got there a bit late but the sun loungers were very welcome whilst I read my book. Wendi very kindly allowed us to leave our car there while we went out for the day to Montagu & Robertson wine cellars which was a great help. Next time we are in the area we will definitely return. Nothing to dislike.

Das Frühstück wurde auf unsere Bedürfnisse angepasst. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt und würden dieses Guesthouse jederzeit wieder buchen. In einem unserer Zimmer, zur Straße gelegen, war in den frühen Morgenstunden der Straßenlärm ein wenig störend.

- Charlie (10/5): - Both Wendy and her colleague were very friendly and welcoming, which made for a delightful calm overnight stay. So glad there was a small swimming pool to cool off in. All facilities very clean etc
- Martine (10/5): Home away from home - Driving down the tree lined street we arrived to Petal’s Place. We were greeted by Wendi the hostess and we were able to check in early, which was very accommodating. We were shown to our room, the Jasmine room which was bright, large, comfy and airy. Bathroom was clean and had a nice large shower. Love the tall ceilings in the house. Secure parking provided. Plunge pool is very enjoyable after a hard day of wine tasting! Nice and quiet, you can hear the birds chirping in the morning. For breakfast you fill in a form the night before stating time and preferences. Breakfast is prepared by Wendi herself! Well organized for a small B&B. Location is very convenient, all the way down the street you fall upon the Robertson Train Station (wine train on Saturdays). Most of the Vineyards around can be reached within half an hour or so. We thank Wendi for her hospitality and friendliness. We will definitely be back! Nothing really

Air conditioning in the bedroom was fantastic. Pool was great to cool down & relax in after a long drive on the garden route. Wendi booked our restaurant for the evening.

- Maria (7/5): Nice and quiet location - Spacious rooms, nice and quiet location. Really good breakfast and a lovely pool. Ample parking. Just 20 mins walk to wine-train. The bed was not for us, it was a hard matrass. Nice shutter for the window, but light came in from the bathroom as it had a glass door.

- Debbie (9/5): A comfortable place to stay in Robertson - Wendy was an excellent hostess, with ideas for local restaurants and places to visit. Security was first class. Our room was large, with double en-suite shower room. Toiletries, tea, coffee and rusks were provided too. We were allowed to use the pool in the garden, which was a refreshing treat. Breakfast was plentiful, but a little overcooked!

- Crocker (10/5): Overnight stay - Wendi went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met and we spent a great evening in the pub and braai area. The rooms were large with big comfy beds and the breakfast was delicious.
