- A6135GOmaggies (8/5): Clean, friendly, calm and peaceful - This is a small hotel within walking distance if Mushroom Bay, Dream Bay, and Devil’s Tears. The rooms are clean, good AC, and the staff is friendly. The shower and bathroom are partially outside. You will 100% privacy, and it is actually really refreshing. The breakfast is limited but good. We got into the habit of eating breakfast and then walking over to get a stringer coffee nearby. The pool is nice. If you like to have a drink by the pool this is a good option. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. The only thing to keep in mind is the location, you will need to walk or get a scooter to get to different spots but that worked for us.
- 840nikkim (8/5): A quiet and relaxing spot - Our family of 4 stayed here in a family villa with private pool and 2 bathrooms for 5 nights (thought we had to leave a day early). We arranged pickup from the ferry through the villas which was easy and then hired scooters through the villas for a very reasonable price. The daily breakfast had a decent selection and even when they ran out of Vegemite one morning when all I could stomach was toast, the helpful staff scrounged around and managed to find me one last single serve. The location is great - a short walk to Dream Beach, Devil’s Tears, and several restaurants and minimarts. Highly recommend the Japanese restaurant Oishii Bar & Grill nearby. We went twice and it was top notch. The staff are super helpful. Our son needed medical attention and the staff were very quick to help transport us to the nearby medical centre. We then needed to checkout a day early and they went over and above to get our laundry back and get us to our earlier ferry on time. The pros: - Friendly staff who are eager to assist with whatever you need. - The grounds are well-kept and it’s quiet and peaceful. - Clean rooms and bed linens. - Great location if you don’t want to stay in Jungut Batu. - Decent wifi if you need it. The cons: - Inconsistent service. One day the mosquito coil is lit for you, the next day it isn’t, the day after it is. The bins weren’t always cleared daily. Random. - The towels need an upgrade - see photo. The one on the left were obviously from a new batch which we got on our last day. The one on the right were what we had the rest of the time which were often threadbare. - Our pool towels were never replaced in our entire stay. We probably could’ve asked but staying in a pool villa we shouldn’t have to. - Bathrooms could use an upgrade but for some this could play into the island rustic appeal (see photo). All in all, a great place to stay!
- MikePausler (4/5): A disappointment - A shame really as some lovely staff, beautiful pool area and comfortable room. However! The toilet in our room was disgusting and very poor cleaning. We both got unwell from what we consumed there/ or the water they provided us with. I discovered 4 other guests over the course of the week became ill. The owner took zero responsibility and tried to imply it was from outside when we were much more careful outside and we were both ill a day when we had only dined at Sunset gardens for 36 hours. Gardens overgrown and messy in a country where gardening is celebrated. The area is generally messy with lots of rubbish around and regularly fires burning rubbish/ leaves etc so smokey. Food v average. Much better value elsewhere in Bali.
- KarenLQldAust_ (10/5): A hidden gem on Nusa Lembongan. We would stay stay again! - Stayed for in the private plunge pool villa for 4 nights and wished it was longer... peaceful and relaxing. The room is a decent size, clean with super cool air-conditioning and an outdoor bathroom. Breakfast was basic, fresh and delicious. We ate lunch and dinner here a couple of times and it was also nice. The location suited us, and we arranged scooters through the resort. They also organised our return ferry ride.
- A4Canada (10/5): A perfect place to stay while on Nusa Lembognan - Room/villa was gorgeous with our own pool, room/beds/pillows were comfortable and very clean. Staff were extremely helpful with everything- within walking distance of sunset point, mushroom bay and dream beach. The manta point snorkelling, that we booked through the hotel was exceptional and our 90 min massages were fantastic. Food is great too - lots of choices for breakfast. We wished we planned a longer stay, 3 nights was just not enough!

- sheepy963 (10/5): Such a great find! - Such a great find!! Second time staying here in a private pool villa. What strikes me about this place is how beautiful it is but also how warm the hospitality is. Not to mention its walking proximity to the Sandy Bay Beach Club (the bet sunset views!) , the Devil’s tear (just wow!) and it’s less than a 10 minute walk to Mushroom Beach with all the restaurants and bars. You can also hire mopeds and book activities direct from Reception. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️.

- silviamL5748LP (10/5): What a place!! - What a fantastic stay at this place. We were in the family villa with our own private plunge pool, a/c and fast wi-fi. Everything around the property is really well maintained and staff are extremely happy to help, organising transfer or/and suggesting things to do. Lovely restaurants near by (Oishii and Sandy Bay), as well as Mushroom beach only a stroll away. Would definitely recommend!

I don’t leave reviews bc I appreciate the luxury of having a roof over my head and understand the difficulties of running a business. Today I’m forced to write a review bc this hotel gave me an allergic reaction from the dust and mold. I did not stay the night and booked another room somewhere else. The hotel refused to give me a refund, or even a partial refund, and when I asked the manager at the front desk he said “we can’t please everyone”.
- Vacationer822705 (10/5): A small paradise on Nusa Lembongan - If you are looking for a relaxing and typical place in Nusa Lembongan, this is the right hotel. We stayed at Sunset Garden for two nights and had a great experience. The room is a small but romantic wooden villa. We loved that the bathroom and shower were open sky! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers many activities that you can book: we rent a scooter and went snorkeling with the manta ray. It was simply wonderful!
- Hurricane08 (10/5): Bliss in Sunset Gardens - We stayed for 4 nights and were in a villa with private pool. Was a great set up for our family of 4 (2 kids 5 & 8 year old). We had a double bed and 2 single beds in our room and still sufficient space. The villa was in a secure compound so we don’t need to worry about noise or watching the kids. The villa has a great cover med deck with bench-seat and swinging seat. We used both our private pool and the main pool. There was a semi outside bathroom for the villa, nothing like getting sunburnt in the shower. The onsite restaurant was good and very reasonable price. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Mr Siri the Reairt Manager was always on hand to provide information. We hired motorbikes from the accommodation most days which was easy. We loved the island and the location of the accommodation worked well for us. Easy 400 metre walk to Sunset Point, with Sandy Bay, Dream Beach and Mushroom Bay all within easy walking distance and less than 1 kilometre. I would highly recommend this accommodation and hope to be back next year!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. A few beaches within walking distance and scooters available for those brave enough to take on the bumpy roads.
- Wander12908980142 (10/5): Tucked away gem in Nusa Lembongan. Highly recommended - Had the best time here! First trip ever to Bali and the crew at Sunset Gardens were absolutely lovely to deal with! Really great location, in a nice quiet spot but still quite close to wherever you’d like to go. We found ourselves eating at the restaurant more than we expected, and it was excellent. The staff were able to arrange scooters, boat trips, etc so it made the whole trip super easy. Highly recommend!

Room service was fantastic, as was onsite food and bar. Staff are really helpful, organising our scooters, snorkelling and helping with local knowledge.

Lembongan a gorgeous island - quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of busier parts of Bali. Make sure you walk to Sandy Bay Beach Club for sunset cocktails. We really loved our stay! Staff friendly and villa very comfortable. The hut was very private, and had a ‘holiday park’ vibe, which we didn’t mind. Pool a little smaller than expected, but communal pool close and big. Lovely host and staff. Would revisit for sure, and would take some earplugs to block out the 4.30am rooster!

Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding with my booking on arrival and it took over an hour to rectify and on checking out the management didn’t show up and my transport for my connection to the airport didn’t show up either…
- chayto1 (10/5): Highly recommended - Stayed in a private villa, villa Lembongan. Pool was ample size for 2 people and great temperature. It wasn't in the sun all day which is a bonus. Had sun lounges, chairs, table and daybed. Room was big with a king and single. It was clean and comfortable. Room service available via Whatsapp messages. Blueberry juice is a must!! On-site restaurant provided sufficient breakfast options and is open all day for meals, including dinner. Food was always good. Short walk to view sunset from a couple of bars, including Cloudland. Not far from anything really. There is a main communal pool that looked great but we didn't use it.
- G6466FJalexf (10/5): Bliss - Overall an excellent stay! I stayed here with 2 friends for 4 nights. Apart from the whole island itself being a paradise, this hotel really felt amazing. We all had such a relaxing time. The staff are very friendly, helpful. The pool is great, plenty of space around to sit in the sun. The hotel offers a range of activities to book for the day, for example quad biking, manta ray snorkelling, guided tours. These were well organised from our experience and good value. The room itself is a raise wooden bungalow style, plenty of air con and a half-outside bathroom. 10/10.
- Stephanie (8/5): - Great stay here! The bed was so comfortable! I slept like a baby. Everything was nice and clean, the air conditioning worked great, and the staff were very friendly. The bathroom and shower are outside of the room, which I didn’t mind. And I was able to park my scooter right in front. The only negative thing is the breakfast wasn’t the greatest, and I would have preferred to have 2 unopened water bottles like the rest of the hotels offer, as this hotel had a hard plastic water bottle already open and filled with water which doesn't seem super cleanly, but I respect the fact that they are trying to be eco-friendly, so I just purchased my own water. Other than these negatives, my stay was great!
- buzzaMelbourne (10/5): A home away from home - We are actually still here at Sunset Garden and thought I’d write a review whilst finishing our lovely little breakfast. Not to mention I have never written a review before so best I do it now. My family and I have loved it here 6 days for me isn’t enough Lembogan is awesome so much to explore and do. Some beaches and sights you feel like you’re on a Greek Island. Snorkeling was great and swimming with the Manta Wray’s is pretty full on!! Amazing when you see one but rough seas up against a cliff with hundreds of others 😬 I advise you just book everything through sunset garden they speak good English and are more then happy to look after you and most of all trustworthy. There are 3 or 4 families villa’s with own pool and we are in a family villa over looking the garden and main pool. This place is a little safe, quiet, traditional style, little family run villa’s resort. Breakfast is included every morning starting with a plate of fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange, watermelon or pineapple juice. Then you have many other breakfast 🍳 choices all included. Some days we just rested and that is also all apart of a holiday! We will miss our lovely outdoor shower and after each day’s adventures coming home to this safe, comfy place.
