Location great Iv reviewed a few times ..as much as breakfast is really great..everything is to close together toaster , juice..cereal...could you not move cereal milk etc to another spot..leaving room for the toaster and juice which is right next to hot food serving hatch. And only 1 toaster for 100s of people?what if the toast was made in kitchen and when the tea coffee is brought over a round of toast at same time .I really appreciate the staff are so busy..they never stop but its just so congested at that area

• Susan (8/5): Stay was lovely just needs certain things looking at but staff couldn’t do enough for us. - Staff, food and entertainment was very good. Problem with lift breaking down 3 times in a day. Bit chaotic at breakfast, no one allocated a table just placing everyone on any table available bn better if you had same table for duration of stay. To many people getting in lifts even though it stated no more than 2, then lift broke while we were in it 3 times in a day.

Restaurant staff including tracey were very helpful.

An organist aimed at age 80 plus I guess. Singers were good. Hotel appears to be full of coach tours. At age 68 I felt young and out of place.

• Louisa (4/5): Hotel gone very downhill and in need of an overhall in the rooms - very run down. - The staff were all very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble The room was very run down with extremely uncomfortable beds. Very noisy room, above the stage in the lounge. We looked at a different room but it was smaller and very similar, run down. It would have been a downgrade in terms of room type, but no offer of a partial refund so we stayed where we were, despite the damp above the window! I paid for guaranteed parking. The space I was allocated wouldn't have fit a smart car due to how others had parked. 5 spaces later, I was finally parked. This needs policing as anyone can park there and it is not checked.

Only suggestion we could make is maybe to inform all Guests for Breakfast to sit on any table, not their specific Table Number. Someone was rude to us and wanted us to move, when we had been told by the Manager where to sit. See above

The room was tiny,old fashioned decor, cramped and very hot, the shower was small and difficult to use without wetting all the bathroom area. The receptionist said for an extra charge i could upgrade to another larger room but it was too little, too late.

And the breakfast was awful the only good thing to eat was the toast as we did that our self’s. Probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever had by a mile

• Gary (4/5): Disappointed overall - dirty dated room and impossible to sleep before midnight - Reception & Bar Staff extremely friendly, polite and helpful 2 x great looking cabaret lounges Super location Good sized room Our room was right above the entertainment lounge - impossible to get to sleep before midnight as the noise was deafening, it was so loud you could feel the vibrations rattling through the room. Definitely need soundproofing somehow. Duvet on the single bed was covered in thick black hair and food crumbs upon arrival. Curtains full of stains Very dated decor, wallpaper peeling off in areas from damp spots. Not what I expect when booking a 'Superior' room, there was absolutely nothing superior about it - such a shame as this hotel has the potential to be amazing.

• mark (7/5): Go for the acts and bar ( keep out of the restaurant) - The acts were fantastic and a good bar. Restaurant overwhelmed due to coach parties. Didn't get meet and greet to dinner table. Ran out of braised steak and other menu options not really great. Soup thin and like dishwater. Didn't bother with the mains and desert just walked out. Would rather have a separate menu to the coach parties.

• Claire (8/5): Lovely break in spring - The hotel is in a good location , easy reach of the south, central and north piers . Home bargains store for essentials is not far away , as are fast food outlets. There is also a nice gastro pub The Dutton arms about a 12 min walk away. The hotel being opposite the beach has excellent views and you can easily cross the road in a minute or so . We had a front sea view room but the bathroom was really tiny ,so much so you struggle to dry off after a shower ,but we realised theres nothing you can really do to extend it !! Also more storage space would have been benificial to us (we are a family of 4 )

Very clean but needs TLC Breakfast was lovely! 1 towel to share between 2 people Shower didn’t drain properly so had to be quick otherwise it would have flooded the room and clearly had at some point as the bathroom flooring was all bumpy and lifted from the floor. Shame as I’ve always enjoyed staying here but won’t be revisiting now!
