Guest Reviews
- Lynette (6/5): - Cute cottage, easy access and parking. Lovely new kitchen and bathroom. Overall cottage needs some maintenance work e.g. one of the bedroom doors didn’t shut, the second bedroom is quite small for two beds. The grounds could do with a bit of work as well.
- Leon Christopher (10/5): - Brilliant little place, quirky and adorable but modern facilities. If coming with kids bringing some dvds is a good idea. Excellent communication with manager.
- Christel (8/5): - We liked the character and charm of the villa, nice new bathroom with great shower, lovely country kitchen, warm and sunny. The let downs were the curtains had missing hooks and gave a really bad first impression. One single bed was completely sagged while the other my 80 yr old mum could feel the springs. The master bed was a king size mattress on a queen base. The "Ponds" were empty or upside down and overgrown. The seating and deck outside were in need of water blasting and was not somewhere you would want to sit.The washing machine was in need of a clean, no laundry powder supplied and not really useable. The towels had a weird smell and were not fresh at all. Thick dust on the skirting boards and cobwebs. The owner just needs to spend a couple of days on general maintenance and clean every part of the room. Some kitchen cookware were old and dangerous, ie loose frying pan handles. more than one egg cup would be nice.No light in the shower.
- Paola (10/5): - The cootage was homely and comfortable. Kitchen had all the utensils pots plate we needed. Warm comfy beds
- Maria (10/5): Unique friendly and handy to everything - The cottage was warm, well equipped and lovely with choices of outdoor and indoor spaces to sit. It was close to Hayley Park and shopping and would suit all ages. Fantastic walk in shower and bush and sunshine vistas. The train going past made me smile.
- kathryn (10/5): - The cottage was great, ideal for what we wanted, clean, homely an the shower was awesome. The outside area where we had our morning coffee was nice, There was 3 of us staying with 2 of us gardeners so was a little disappointed we couldn't walk round the garden, would have liked to seen growth cut back a bit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This cottage is awesome for staying with children. Good location, had a small garden and quite. We have had a great time.
- A&T (10/5): - Perfect location for our stay. Cottage is compact but comfortable and has almost everything you need.
Great to have washing facilities.
Lovely shower.
Comfy beds.
Good internet.
Missed not having a hand towel provided.
Could do with some new dinnerware (bowls and cups) and a chopping board.
- Nell (10/5): - A quaint cottage that has been lovingly updated with all mod cons.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location of the property to Christchurch and the cleanliness of the property.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This is a cute two bedroom cottage which is located within a 30minute walk of the Christchurch CBD. The cottage is over 100 years old but has a modern kitchen and bathroom.
There is off street parking but if you have a large suv it is extremely tight and the shrubbery will scratch the car but you can park on the street as it is the end of the place.
The only real problem which none of the reviewers have mentioned that over the fence are freight train tracks. Whenever a train or engine goes by the cottage does shake! Its okay if you are out all day but being woken up at 5.00am isn’t fun nor if a train/engine going along at 11.00pm! Garden is a bit overgrown and really needs attention.
- Jo (10/5): - This is a beautiful, old cottage tucked away at the end of the street. It was clean and warm when we arrived and had everything we needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Enough space for a family. Fully equipped kitchen. Walking distance to city centre.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great wee cottage, so snug and warm. Well equipped kitchen great location, would highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great find!!! Close enough to walk to Horncastle Arena!! Warm cosy character filled cottage - a great space for us to stay in!
- Cassandra (10/5): Cottage Experience - Lovely, cosy and homely stay. Great to experience something different. Good location.
