- Sharon (8/5): A great choice for a very comfortable stay & access to social CBD venues. - Very clean, large room, very comfortable, next door to distillery services, 10min walk to CBD facilities, car parking, detailed & easy to understand instructions for building & room access, clean & tidy property grounds.
- Kim (10/5): Great and affordable accommodation. Excellent staff and close to all shops - Clean, great price, close to all shops, great staff Great big gallery kitchen, great big rooms
- Jan (7/5): Receptionist is on the photo - I make my own breakfast No staff it’s on auto pilot
- Sylvia (6/5): -
- Cassandra (8/5): Great value - Good valve, huge room Bed was a bit hard for my liking. Place was noisy in the morning with people moving around
- Daniel (10/5): - The rooms are amazing, massive rooms, good ensuite and then excellent kitchen. BBQ outside needs a good clean
- Hendri (8/5): - Central location.
Clean and well appointed at the price point.
Overall best value for money in Port Lincoln. The area across from our room looked like a renovation project left halfway.
Other guests were loud and there was no staff to address this.
- Stephen (3/5): I would not recommend anyone stay at this place. - We didn’t like anything about the property. It was a hostel. Booking.com needs to make that clear on the advertising for the property. It was nowhere near the town. We were extremely disappointed.
- Judith (7/5): - The room was very echoing making all sounds seem a lot louder
- SHUHONG (8/5): -
- Martin Mariappan (5/5): - I stayed there for two nights. I did not get the milk or breakfast for the second day. If I am paying daily rate, I would expect them to provide milk and breakfast every day not just on day one. thanks
- Robert Ingley (8/5): - Plenty of space & very clean. Full kitchen facilities if required
- Vicente (8/5): Good -
- Jose Luis (9/5): -
- Kevan (8/5): - Large and comfortable room at a great price. Full kitchen available if you are willing to share
- Claudia patricia (9/5): - new, big and clean didn't have a wardrobe
- Mauricio (7/5): -
- SuJaAld (8/5): Pt Lincoln Aldrich - Apartment was modern and clean and comfortable and the housecleaner, Cheryl, was very helpful. We would stay there again because of Cheryl. 😀 Location was great. There was only a kettle on the common kitchen area outside of the apartment. The wifi was not working. The only window to the apartment is a skylight into the common area in the middle of the apartment block which some may not like. The lighting was very dim.

- Kim (10/5): Thanks guys, very happy with my stay - Cheap accommodation, very clean and comfortable. Close to all shops. Great staff, excellent communication N/A
- Leslie (4/5): If you don't use the kitchen it is ok - The rare staff member was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and facilities/amenities worked well. It was quiet The kitchen each night was left in very poor condition by other guests, food in the sink, some dishes washed but piled up on the sink, some dishes just left needing to be washed, altogether very unhygienic, the staff member then has to clean it up each morning. I am going back to Port Lincoln but because of this I probably will not stay here again
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Yong-shun (8/5): Very good -
- Daphne (7/5): Was nice and tidy and suited my needs although bed wasn’t really comfy - The price was good A short somewhere with the electricity but the staff were aware
- Chris (10/5): Comfortable and convenient - Easy access, plenty of car parks, cleanliness and the bed was so comfortable. Nothing!
- Joanne (4/5): Noisy guests until after midnight - easy to find, comfy bed, nice selection of breakfast cereals onsite parking is VERY limited, parking on the road available.
Other guests were noisy until after midnight.
Seemed to be "cheap" long term accommodation for workers, not really tourist accommodation.
- Kevan (7/5): It is a converted YHA building with common cooking facilities. Good value if you accept that. - Room size and cleanliness. Clean and simple bathroom/toilet. Modern and functioning equipment Air conditioning is undersized for the size of the room.
- Erdem (8/5): Very good -
- Akash (7/5): Good - The stay was comfortable, the air conditioning worked exceptionally well, and the room was spacious. There was a very strong and unpleasant smell coming from the kitchen — at one point, it was so bad I nearly felt like vomiting. As a vegetarian, I found it especially difficult to tolerate, but I believe many others would also find the strong odour, resembling that of decaying or dead animal products, quite offensive.
- Toby (10/5): Good place to stay - Nice room lots of space. Bathroom clean and worked well. Kitchen seemed a bit dirty from lots of use.
- Peter (7/5): Not a bad place to stay over all. - My room was large, mainly vertically but also from one end to the other. I feel the height may mean energy is wasted with the air conditioning. The hand wash dispenser was hard to press and it's easy for your hand to slip off, possibly resulting in an injury as the part you press then snaps back and hits your hand.
- Stacylee (9/5): Superb - Large room and really good for the price Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): Thank you for my accommodation. Carly you have great customer service. Your the best - Everything N/A
- Graeme (9/5): Superb -
- Trudi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Celia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (4/5): Not what we were expecting of "an apartment" - Breakfast food provided was good. Room was spacious. To call this place an apartment was a joke. It was a large ex YHA dorm room. It was a clean, spacious basic room and very poorly lit.. BUT kettle, toaster, microwave etc was in the group Kitchen which was not very clean.
- Michael (7/5): Adequate for my needs -
- Hefin (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (8/5): Great value - I was very apprehensive when I booked this room since it was so cheap, but got a lovely surprise. It's exactly as the pictures showed. Comfortable bright and cheery. Also quiet. There is a full communal kitchen with everything you could want if you are cooking a meal. It is a bit out of town but the pub next door does a reasonable pizza. The parking was a bit iffy. We got a spot but then was afraid to drive somewhere in case we lost our spot. There is plenty of on street parking but we felt safer leaving our car in their space.
- Hannah (6/5): Room in a hostel- very little soundproofing but decent value for money! - Big room
Good shower
Good tv
Nice to have a fridge Very noisy - no soundproofing
No curtain or blind on the window
No kettle in the room- albeit there was one in the kitchen
Bed not very comfy
On arrival key had been taken by another guest for the room we were meant to be in. The owner was very helpful with this however as there is no reception or staff on site, she had to call people to attend the property to sort this out
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Vassilios (9/5): Enjoyed the stay and will definitely visit again. - The room was clean and comfortable. Spacious and comfortable and great spot to chill and relax. Facilities were plentiful and the breakfast offer was great. Shower had good pressure and nice flow of hot water. The room was private with its own key card. I will definitely visit again. There is nothing I can fault the accommodation
- Mel (8/5): Very good -
- Casey (10/5): Will use again - Amount of room. Security of key cards. Helpful staff when I misplaced my key card. Great room facilities. Easy location to find and close to shops Nothing
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Clean, large room with comfy bed. Everything was great
- Christine (8/5): Will be staying again real soon when visiting the dentist. - Was a joy in finding accomodation that includes a lot of extras with a lovely helpful cleaner. Being woken by the other guests across from Room 5, playing creepy breathing meditation at midnight, loudly!
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (10/5): Awesome and massive room - The size of the room, was massive. How private it felt. Got free tea/coffee/cereal. Couch was super comfy to sit on and shower was amazing. The bed was so far the most comfortable one I slept in. My only concern was that I had to park on the road for my first night. My second night I was able to park in the car park
- Kayla (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (6/5): Noisy joint. Won’t be a returning patron. - Great bed. Spacious room with a large TV and comfortable sofa. Handy to Garden Brewery, next door. The king bed rooms are so noisy. Due to the fact that there are rooms directly above the bed, you hear all the noise generated above. Sliding furniture, footsteps etc. Have stayed here half a dozen times but this is the last time. If you are a light sleeper, avoid this joint. People across the hall wedged door open and had a loud conversation from 6am. This has now happened 3 times. Some rooms are dedicated long term rentals and those people make it unsavoury for the people staying overnight or for a couple of nights. Although the facilities are great, if you want a quiet nights sleep and perhaps a sleep in, go elsewhere. You have been warned.
- Uwe (10/5): Very good accommodation - Very good hostel. We had room no. 5 with our own bathroom.
Top equipped communal kitchen, possibility to do the laundry, very good wifi. Good, quiet location with plenty of parking spaces right next to the accommodation.
Very good value for money for Port Lincoln.
Highly recommended.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dimity (8/5): Pretty good - The location was good.
Comfortable.
I didn't feel unsafe. The other people in the accommodation in other rooms were loud after midnight which impacted my sleep, some nights even at 3am.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Travelling through
- Isabella (10/5): Exceptional - I loved staying at this place! It was the most affordable option we found in Port Lincoln, and it exceeded our expectations. The location is great, the room was super spacious with a comfy bed and sofa, a TV, good internet, and even some snacks to enjoy. We loved everything about it. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!
- David (8/5): Nice place to stay and budget friendly. - Have stayed here many times, so knew what to expect. Next door to Garden Brewery which is a great joint. Honestly, it gets pretty noisy with the other patrons. Not external noise, noise from other guests. This can’t be helped due to the design/ layout of the place but best be prepared for it.
- Sandie (8/5): Very good - very large clean and handy Very Very noisy people shouting and carrying on all might they supplied Tea and coffee but no kettle
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Howard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lori (1/5): Didn’t stay there due to the misleading online advertising. We wouldn’t have booked a YHA for work accommodation - It’s not studio apartments. It’s very clearly a YHA.
- Sue (8/5): Good location. Well priced. Large, clean room. Helpful and friendly staff. - Nice spacious and clean room, well laid out. Bathroom very clean. Great to have the big shared kitchen available as well. We didn't use it this stay but probably will in the future. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Well priced. Found the check-in tricky but only because we had forgotten to check our emails prior to arriving at the venue. This was quickly and easily sorted with a phone call. It was strange not to have a conventional window but we got used to that. Our main concern was with noise. Footsteps on the floors outside were very loud and kept us awake for quite a while as there seemed to be a lot of people moving around the venue late at night.
- Maddy (10/5): Great place, exactly as described. - The property was exactly as described and photographed. The room was even bigger than I'd expected. I also appreciated the tea/coffee/breakfast provided. It was a bit expensive for a former hostel.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trev (9/5): Superb -
- Riaan (8/5): Value for money, good instructions for check in. - Big tidy room, breakfast cereal included, value for money! No kettle in room, or maybe I missed that somehow. Had to go to a separate kitchen, not a big deal but would have been better if it was in the room. Other quests played lots of loud music after 10pm but that not the owner's fault.
- Deb (8/5): Basic, budget friendly accommodation - Easy to find and relatively central Having to go to the kitchen for using the kettle, when everything else was in your room.
Air-conditioning did not work.Vents would not open
- Tara (9/5): Comfortable and close - The location is awesome. It’s the old YHA/squash court so the floors and space are amazing. Everything is clean and I loved the fact that there was a kitchen.
It’s also in walking distance to the pubs and there’s a microbrewery next door that does amazing wings. The hallway can be a bit noisy if people are in it. Otherwise amazing stay.
- Klepacki (8/5): Convenient, comfortable will stay again - Great for a quick stop over Car park could be better lit
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sagar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eleanor (9/5): Superb -
- Jesse (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (7/5): A reasonable option in Port Lincoln if not too fussy. - Spotlessly clean and spacious room. Pleasant decor. Lack of a personal kettle is unheard of in Australia even if this item exists in the common area.
The hotel may no longer officially be a youth hostel but guests’ behaviour would suggest it still is with uncontrolled noise throughout the night and early morning.
Location opposite industrial area may upset some, personally I wasn’t bothered.
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - Self check in. Cleaning staff very lovely the next day when checking out.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - great location, quiet and convenient nothing to complain about
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional - The room was Huge! Large comfy bed... Plenty of tea/coffee... Even cereal too... Shampoo, conditioner and body wash.... I would definitely stay again. Nothing
- Sally (7/5): Value for money, close to town and waterfront. - Nice large room. Car not in secure area- not adjacent room. Didn’t realise it was the old yha. Opposite industrial area
- Kirwan (10/5): Exceptional - Everything from the people to the accommodation was fantastic👍🏾
Will definitely stay there again
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tam (8/5): Very good - Great little place, glad we found it
- Wendy (9/5): Well appointed, clean and friendly place to say. Would book again. - Clean, well appointed and close to all other amenities within township Nil
- Louise (7/5): Good -
- Nielsen (8/5): Very good - Shower head was broken, that's about it
- Doniella (8/5): Really nice, new room with fridge and some breakfast foods. - Really nice room! All new and big! Had fridge with some breakfast foods. Very nice! No staff there so if you have to any questions, no answer.
- Isabella (10/5): Efficient and clean - It was so cosy and clean. Super welcoming Sun light on ceiling was quite annoying in the mornings
- Wendy (9/5): Good facility, close to town and restaurants, almost as good as presented in advertising - We’ll set up, ease of access. Would have loved a kettle for tea/coffee and a cup and bowl and spoon for cereal breakfast. A studio room implies self contained…..
Cleaning staff were lovely
- Garry (9/5): Excellent - Property was excellent it was clean, well maintained, staff were friendly and helpful, good location with excellent facilities would stay again 👍 Everything
- Yvonne (5/5): Shame about the thin walls! - Facilities Noisy neighbours. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from next door and down the corridors. The bed was past its use by date and collapsing on one side. A lot of long term residents stay here.
- Maddiemoo (8/5): Would stay again ☺️ - The place itself was nice with a small outdoor area, clean, bed was comfy. Affordable! It was also close to cafes and even had a beer garden next door. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Port Lincoln is beautiful! Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready at check in time. We waited an hour and a half. Communication may have lacked if anything. We walked in and the room was very messy, it had not been cleaned from previous occupants.
- Steve (8/5): Very good - The place was modern chic and spotless t h e bed was so comfortable , also its very safe The room had no window and was part of the YHA hostel
- Alberto (10/5): A great pleasant surprise - I liked everything. I stayed there almost two weeks. Very clean. Big room with lot of space and a very comfortable big bed. Comfortable sofa, big Tv, board and iron. Common services include very close washing and driers machine and a big kitchen that guests can share to prepare their meals. Above all I appreciated the kindness and the support of Cheryl, a wonderful lady Everything was ok.
- E. (10/5): Great stay, impressed with everything and affordable. Thanks guys - Clean, big, spacious and very comfortable and affordable N/A
- David (8/5): Will stay here again but will know what to expect. - Good space. Comfortable bed. Lounge and large TV were good. Excellent facilities in the shared kitchen. Good value for money. Good location with Beer Garden next door. Happy hour at 5pm should not be missed. Sound transfer into ground floor room was ordinary. People getting up at dawn to go on tours and you can hear their conversations. Cleaners turning up early and having a conference for all and sundry to listen to. If you were thinking about maybe having a sleep in, this is not the joint for you unless you have earplugs. Previous occupants dirty linen left in vanity wasn't a pleasant surprise.
