• Gigia (10/5): Courtyard with Character - My daughter and I were traveling for a basketball tournament. This hotel was 6 miles from the event center. It was very nice. The hotel had a vintage feel but was very clean and welcoming. We stayed in a king room, and it was very spacious with a nice view. The doors also have the soft close hinges so if you open the door and let it close on its own it doesn't slam. While I did see other children that obviously came for the basketball tournament and other children that were there for a baseball event, I did not hear them throughout the night, the room was very well insulated, so I did not hear anything outside of our room. I did not like there was not a microwave in the room. I also did not like that there was only one washing machine and dryer in the whole facility. My daughter was playing on Saturday and Sunday, so I did want to wash her uniform after she played on Saturday but there was already a family using the facility, but I was able to get up early Sunday and use the washer and dryer.
• Kim (10/5): Great old building in cool location - I really like historic buildings so I loved the way this building had been renovated. I think the renovation is nearly 10 years old and it looks brand new to me. The lobby was interesting with all of its little seating areas that were semi-private, the tall ceilings, and the architectural details. My room had 12 foot ceilings and they are very special! The bathroom shower was very cool. The mattress was, as always, excellent. The beds are always great in Marriotts. I like the location very much near the river and in the old downtown area. I’m not sure if there was free coffee in the lobby, but that would be a nice perk. I’ve didn’t see any. The coffee in the room was passable, but just barely.

Everything was clean and recently remodeled. They exposed a lot of old features of the building giving it a classy feel. Would definitely stay here again. Nothing.

Attention to detail when cleaning. Parts of the shower were dirty, splash marks from a drink or something on the curtain when you pulled them down.

Location to downtown is exceptional with everything within walking distance of shops and the river. It checked all the boxes for our stay and will definitely be out go to when in the Cape.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is always very accommodating. Emily and the rest of the staff are so sweet and helpful. We will be back soon and can’t wait!

• Lisa (10/5): Beautiful facility and wonderful service! - This is a gem of a hotel! The hotel is beautiful, rooms are spacious and beds were very comfortable. The staff was delightful! We enjoyed a friendly welcome at the front desk who let us know about happy hour in the bar/restaurant area. We had an appetizer and beverages before heading out. We enjoyed a yummy breakfast with lovely presentation in the restaurant the following morning.

They did an excellent job maintaining the charm of a very cool old building while creating a very comfortable and well maintained hotel. Excellent location, short walking distance to downtown and all shops and restaurants as well as the Mississippi river. Excellent staff, comfortable bed and room, would definitely stay here again. Nothing.

• Brandy (10/5): Overall great stay! - Overall we had a great stay here for just a night in town for a soccer tournament. I had filtered out hotels that had a pool and somehow this one slipped through but it does not have a pool. I also filtered by hotels that included free breakfast, this hotel has a restaurant but breakfast is not free. The hotel was very nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The Starbucks espresso machine was broken which was a bummer for an early morning soccer game. Biggest complaint was the noise from the street bikes, very loud in the room when heard from the street. The front desk receptionists were very friendly and check-in was super quick and easy. Very good stay overall.

The bed killed my hips and back, it was really firm, but that's with most hotels. The front desk manager was very kind and let us check in early. The interior and the hallways are beautiful, keeping the historic architecture. It's in the perfect spot downtown to walk to all your favorite little shops.
