• Premier Cottage

  Offering timber flooring throughout, the Cottage is a two story building. It includes a luxury king suite and second attic room with a single bed and bathroom on the first floor. The living and dining are located on the ground. The spacious dining area offers a spacious lounge seating. The bathroom has shower (that requires a step over/in) and a toilet. A separate second toilet is located on the ground floor. The Cottage also includes a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and oven. A washing machine and dryer is provided. A fold out sofa bed is available if required.

• George (8/5): Accommodation great, weather not so great. - The location was excellent and walking distance to quite a few cafes, hotels and restaurants. The second bedroom could be quite dangerous for older guests in particular. Three steps and no rail/bannister.

• Jacomb45 (10/5): Another great stay at 54 on Bank! - We have stayed there previously and really enjoyed it, hence our return. The apartment is large (a large bedroom and a smaller one), comfortable and well-appointed (eg a second toilet, 2 TVs). We liked the little extra touches, too: snacks left for us, and plenty of milk. I found the bath/ shower a little tricky for somebody of my (advanced) age, as I was a bit scared of slipping.

The shower was fine for me but for my partner who is visually impaired it was a challenge. Firstly, the hot and cold taps were in the incorrect order, hot is always on the left. Secondly, she felt as if she was going to fall as the bath was slippery without a rubber mat. As I stated previously, I had no issues with the shower.

The location was handy to restaurants, bars, shops, everything was a short stroll away. The unit was clean and was well equipped. The hosts, Jon and Rochelle were available to answer any questions that we had whilst we were in Port Fairy. Would recommend to anyone staying in the the beautiful Port Fairy area.

Jon was very quick to assist with an unexpected problem Accessing the shower, steps could be tricky for anyone with balance or mobility problems. More suited to younger travellers.

• David (9/5): Recently renovated property well above expectations. - What a nice surprise, we have stayed in Port Fairy on quite a few occasions and have always been pretty happy with the accommodation however this surpassed our expectations. Obviously recently renovated, it was very clean and fresh. Very well appointed particularly the loft bedroom area. Great location, short walk to shops and restaurants. Private carpark at door. Furniture clean and comfortable. Well appointed kitchen with everything you need for a stay. As the weather was not conducive to sight seeing we did spend a bit of time inside, a larger tv screen would have been nice to watch the footy. There is a tv upstairs and downstairs however both are quite small. A 1st world problem, not really an issue unless needed. Not an issue for us however, if mobility is an issue then stepping into the bath for a shower could be a concern.

Its been very tastefully decorated and the owner was very helpful and prompt in assisting us with any queries/issues Internet was good but we couldn't get the google app for the television to work. it was a very small issue but it seemed like a couple of the remotes needed new batteries

The accommodation suited us ie a separate downstairs area with large table/kitchen/lounge for us & visitors It would be good if the outdoor bins could be located elsewhere and out of sight of the lounge area. Also, as mentioned to Jonathan, the door lock/s of the French doors should be oiled top & bottom. This applies to the fly screens as well. Very hard to open/close.

Two restaurants and great coffee opposite on main road and day spa next door! Cottage had everything you need, v cosy a real home from home. Nothing major but timber stairs slippery in socks, just something to be aware of and a second key would have been handy a couple of times.

There was a small kitchenette with microwave and cook top for anyone who feels like cooking; but why would you want to cook when there are so many great places to eat within walking distance. I like many other places I stayed on this trip, the hosts provide cheese, crackers, coffee and pastries in the kitchenette, a very nice gesture. The hotel was very quiet and the bed and bathroom clean and comfortable. Overall, definitely a place to stay if you are in the area.
