- Tobias_D (10/5): Naturparadies in Eswatini - Besonders hervorzuheben ist die besondere Lage inmitten der Natur. Die gesamte Anlage ist extrem gut gepflegt und wunderschön. Wir hatten ein eigenes luxuriöses Zelt mit Veranda und Holzsesseln zum Fluss hin. Dank der Heizung war es auch nachts angenehm warm im Zelt. Das Badezimmer ist gemauert an das Zelt angeschlossen. Lediglich unsere Bedienung beim Abendessen und Frühstück war vergleichsweise unfreundlich. Wir fühlten uns von ihr nicht willkommen und hatten das Gefühl sie ist ein wenig verstimmt, da wir die einzigen Gäste waren und sie nur wegen uns arbeiten musste.

- Ludwig (10/5): Wer das Paradies sucht ist hier richtig. - Die gesamte Anlage war ein Traum. Sehr schön im afrikanischen Stil. Sehr schön angelegte Wege in der gesamten Anlage, unmittelbar bei einem Wasserfall. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten zum Spazieren und Wandern. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal.

- Corinne (9/5): Nice location for a night - Lovely lodge next to the small waterfall. We stayed in two of the tents which is well maintained but a bit musty and old from being exposed to the elements. But there are nice amenities like a fan, heater, many charging outlets, etc. Only thing I wished for was a hair dryer. It is lovely to have the sounds of the rushing water and waterfalls are ok for a short walk but nothing spectacular. Although the staff in restaurant were very helpful, we were disappointed by the food. We had read some good reviews and were expecting better food but maybe that was she the owners weren't there. . And even though we had to order dinner 1.5 hours in advance he still took 45min longer to get our food. I also should note that I am not a fan of monkeys and they seemed to know when it was dinnertime, so we couldn't eat outside. Please note that since it had been raining, the road to the lodge was very bad for a sedan. They did tell us the best route but we could have easily gotten stuck. Wish we would have known.

- Jarred (9/5): Tranquil, peaceful retreat - The property was very peaceful, and the staff were friendly and always available to assist. I’ve never slept so close to a waterfall before, it was a surreal experience. Make sure you come hungry as the food is delicious! Nothing, would stay again!
- Janine (10/5): Hidden gem - We had an absolutely incredible stay at Phophonyane Falls Ecolodge. From the moment we arrived, Rod and his team made us feel genuinely welcome—nothing felt forced, just warm, effortless hospitality. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly set in such a beautiful natural environment. You actually feel like you’ve escaped real life for a bit (and honestly, no complaints there). The food? Next level. Every meal was delicious, and the attention to detail really stood out. The staff were attentive without hovering—somehow always there when you needed them, and invisible when you didn’t. It’s one of those rare places that gets everything right. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back. Nothing.

There are wonderful hikes to do, all well marked and on a map. We had delicious food served on the terrace of the restaurant. The home made chips should not be missed.

Own hiking trails from 30mins-2h, no ticks and everything is well indicated and path cleared. I just loved the view into the jungle from the tent. And overall privacy of the tent.

- Mia (10/5): In the middle of nature - Die Lage inmitten der Natur ist phantastisch, es ist ein richtiger Park mit tollen Trails zum Laufen. Der Wasserfall in der Nähe war ein Traum. Unser Tent 3 hatte alles, was das Herz begehrt. Dazuhin war es sehr geräumig, sauber und gepflegt. Das Badezimmer war großzügig und sauber. Der Sitzplatz vor dem Haus war mit Tisch, 2 Stühlen und 2 Liegestühlen komfortabel bestückt. Der Service im Restaurant bei allen Mahlzeiten war sehr liebevoll und zuvorkommend. Das Essen hatte eine großartige Qualität. Der Pool lud zum verweilen ein,war immer sauber und es gab extra Handtücher für den Pool. Roomservice im Zimmer war auch täglich, sodass man immer alles frisch und sauber hatte,was un einem Zelt sicher nicht immer einfach ist. Der Besitzer, Rod,kam einmal täglich zu jedem Gast, sodass wir jederzeit das Gefühl hatten, willkommen zu sein. Die Gespräche waren immer hochinteressant. Danke Rod für diese gastfreundliche Art Wir waren nur 2 Nächte da.

Me and my wife enjoyed the beautiful noise from the Phophonyane Falls throughout the night. The beehive was awesome. Brownish water from the taps. No lights on sidewalk s. The inaccessible road towards the establishment.

- Daniël (10/5): Feels like living inside a fairy tale book. - Highly underrated. Photos cannot do this place justice. Imagine living inside a fairy tale - this is that place! Was awesome to meet the owner - this place was established in the 70s. Just amazing! Restaurant closes a bit early (8pm) - however you can pre-order drinks and chill there for as long as you like - so I didn’t really dislike anything.

The only thing they need to improve is to ensure that they   inform their guest not to follow completely the GPS as a GPS can take you to the wrong turn. However, if the GPS take you to the wrong turn, there is a sign indicating where they need to go. Don't follow the gps completely, it depends on which side your coming from ias it may take you to a very rough dirt road leading up to a mountain.  it should be a dirt road straight heading to the Lodge.

Nous sommes resté embourbés le matin du depart apres une nuit d'orage. Acces long et difficile avec les bagages aux huttes depuis le parking.

- Maryann (10/5): A peaceful break. - Improve: Phophonyane Falls Ecolodge is located in exquisitely beautiful surroundings, just begging to be explored. We hiked trail 2 along the Python Cliffs, and visited all the viewpoints. The management and staff were friendly and efficient, and the swimming pool was sparkling clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Laura (9/5): Perfect stay for nature lovers - If you want to disconnect and have solitude ,Phophonyane Falls Ecolodge is a perfect place.Set in a tropical forest ,the views are amazing.The lodge is so peaceful and quiet with hikes varying in technical difficulty and length,all with views of the Phophonyane Falls .The Lodge owners have also take care to build viewing decks with seating next to the falls .The restaurant serve quality meals and the staff are helpful and friendly .There is also a swimming pool to cool from the summer heat .I stayed in Beehive 2 which is built in typical Swazi style .Fits 3 adults adequately.Thanks Rod for the chats and for such a super stay Really nothing negative

- inga (4/5): Außen hui, innen Pfui! - Der Außenanlagen waren super angelegt und gepflegt. Der Wohnbereich war zusammengeschustert,ungemütlich und abgewohnt. Zum Beispiel war der Bodenbelag aus verschiedenen Teppichresten die sich teilweise gelöst haben. Der“Schrank“ war aus Brettern zusammen genagelt, nicht urig sondern billig. Alles alt und verbraucht.

- Karsten (10/5): - Wunderschöne Lage mit liebevoller Gestaltung der Anlage. Schon der Ausblick von den diversen Terrassen macht den Aufenthalt lohnenswert. Dazu ein kurzer Spaziergang um den Wasserfall (etwa 30min oder eine große Runde wenn man möchte). Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Au vu des commentaires, nous avions peur du chemin pour accéder au Lodge, mais finalement avec une voiture classique en saison sèche, aucun problème ! RAS

- Anna (9/5): Ein Ort in der tropischen Natur für alle, die diese erkunden möchten und Ruhe vom hektischen Alltag suchen. - Die Lodge ist eine Oase, die man nach einer kurzen Fahrt über unbefestigte Wege erreicht. Bei gutem Wetter ist das befahren der Straße auch mit einem normalen PKW kein Problem, man muss jedoch vorsichtig fahren. Von der Unterkunft aus gibt es viele schöne Wandermöglichkeiten, die man unbedingt nutzen sollte. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut und bietet ausreichend Auswahlmöglichkeiten für die Zeit des Aufenthalts. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir würden gerne wiederkommen. Ich habe nichts zu beanstanden.

We did the village walk with our 4 year old and we really enjoyed and found it really interesting. I think this is a great place to visit for people who come from the panorama route, definitely recommend it

Rapporté qualité prix imbattable. A noter, il vous faudra prendre une route escarpée tortueuse de qq km avant d’y arriver mais on vous l’assure ça en vaut la peine !

- Sandra (8/5): Chalet in an awesome location: inside the woods! - The location was fantastic, in the middle of the woods, near a waterfall. The chalet was in nicely located, near the restaurant. The chalet itself was big enough, with comfortable beds. Ordering of the food had to be done at least an hour upfront, which was a bit weird. The rooms got quite chilly in the evening.
- Siphilisiwe (10/5): If you want to recharge and connect with nature Phophonyane Falls lodge is your place to go. - So it was our first time sleeping in a tent … great experience l must say . Sleeping while hearing the waterfall melodies was amazing and therapeutic. Getting in touch with nature while hiking and seeing the waterfalls. Thank you Rod for the chats and great staff you have. We loved everything about the place considering to comeback again.

Very unique property, offering incredible nature and total tranquility. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - a must-visit in eSwatini! There is nothing not to like. Granted, it’s not the height of luxury, but luxury isn’t the reason to visit.
- Mark (8/5): Very good - Loved the Lodge. Something unique and very beautiful in a pretty location. Dining room was lovely and warm and the food excellent. The GPS and Google Maps took us on a circuitous route. No issue for the Lodge as it is a GPS and Google issue. May be a good idea for every booking to be warned about this.
- Kerry (10/5): Lovely two night stay! - We arrived in early June and were one of the only guests. Staff built us a fire in the dining room and we're very attentive. The grounds are gorgeous 🤩 The trails around the lodge are marked, but we got lost. Not really the fault of the lodge or the owner though. But I didn't like that part! Ha!

It’s a beautiful, quiet place to have some time out. The staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the home cooking is good. If you like to walk and get outside, it’s ideal. There was nothing I didn’t like.

- Charlotte (9/5): Once you reach the lodge , you don’t feel like living - Outstanding location. Perfect place to unwind while taking in the beautiful scenery of eswatini. For a starter I would advise anyone who travels to eswatini to take the time to discover this beautiful country instead of just driving through . Then a stop at phophonyane falls is a must. We enjoyed the peace the place has to offer, away from the noise and the lights of the city . The pool is wonderful , staff friendly , the food simple yet very tasty .

- Kevin (9/5): Amazingly beautiful and friendly - Beautiful place! Very well taken care of, all staff is extremely friendly and the food is well priced and delicious. There are nearby hikes available, two pools and loads of decks to enjoy the valley views! Our house was clean and spacious, the beds are comfortable and mosquito nets are provided. As it was a little chilly one night we even got to enjoy the fireplace. Shaky Wi-Fi, access road not great. Minor power cuts due to storm.
- Lenny (9/5): Beautiful place in the middle of a nature park - Amazing location in the middle of a park, close to the waterfalls and many trails. I loved that they have a natural swimming pool. We stayed in the beehive which was an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly. Everything was great, the only thing is that you have to order lunch/dinner hours in advance (and there is no other restaurant on a walking distance)
