• Annika (8/5): Romantiska dagar i Paris - Ett litet och väldigt mysigt boutiquehotell med gångavstånd till Montmartre och Galeries Lafayette. Litet rum där toan var i separerad från handfat och dusch, vilket var väldigt opraktiskt. Sköna sängar. Daglig städning och byte av handdukar. Några caféer i precis utanför gjorde att ljudvolymen var hög till c:a 01.30 så örproppar rekommenderas. Tänk också på att skatt läggs till på notan.

The location is very convenient with plenty of dining options and even a supermarket nearby. Parking (if you’re driving) is nearby and a bit pricey for €38 but aside from this, it was a wonderful stay! Thanks so much!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Wunderschönes kleines Boutique-Hotel südwestlich von Montmartre, fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Freundliches Personal, ein Aufzug, sehr sauber, schönes Bad, heißes Wasser, bequeme Betten mit guter Bettwäsche. Das Standard-Zimmer das wir hatten war sehr schick, aber auch sehr klein. Kaum Platz für Koffer, Klamotten, keine Sitzmöglichkeiten außer dem Bett, leider kein Kühlschrank. 50m um das Hotel alles Was man braucht: eine super Bäckerei für ein preiswertes Frühstück, 2 kleine Supermärkte und ein fantastisches koreanisches Buffet-Restaurant. Moulin Rouge und Sacre Coer nur ein paar Minuten entfernt, ebenso wie die Metro-Station 'Place de Clichy'. Abends hat man die Wahl: entweder die x-fach verglasten Fenster schließen und man hat seine Ruhe aber keine frische Luft, oder man läßt die Fenster offen, hat frische Luft, muß aber bis 1/2h morgens den Krach von den beiden Bars unten an der Strasse ertragen. Eine Klimaanlage hatte das Zimmer nicht, lediglich einen Thermostat für die Heizung und eine Ventilator. Alles in Allem fand ich es toll und würde bei Zeiten gern in das 'La Mondaine' zurück kehren.

• Jessica (10/5): - We (couple) stayed one night at La Mondaine and thought it was great. As with many Parisian hotels, the rooms are small, but they were well laid out and comfortable. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a really cool history. There were many restaurant options around, a 3 minute walk to the metro station, and a 10 minute walk to the Moulin Rouge. Additionally, they allowed us to store our bags after checkout, as our train was later in the day - very kind. We would definitely stay here next time we visit Paris.

We stayed in two different rooms during our stay because we decided to upgrade the first night; both of the rooms were beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The hotel is located close to a metro station, which makes getting around the city very easy. A big plus for us was that our room was ready when we arrived early so we didn’t have to wait to check in, which we did not expect but greatly appreciated.

• Paul (8/5): - The Hotel was not easy to find as the street had construction, as door was behind a container. But generally the hotel welcoming was great, with freindly staff and good info. The Hotel is small and older style, most would book this for the interesting style. The room was clean and the bed slept well, all very tight but ok. The mirrors everywhere including the ceiling make it spicy, even though I was alone. I slept well. The location is in a great neighborhood, with food and safety at good level! Enjoyed and will stay again.

Bemærk det ligger lige ved siden af den lækreste bager! Som i den grad også kan anbefales. Hotellet er roligt og man slapper af, så snart man træder ind i de historiske omgivelser.

• Adina (4/5): - The bedsheets were broken and when I told the front desk about it, he said he will check on it. There was nothing to check on it, there were broken with a big rip on it. The bed was also very small, I am 5'8/ 1.73cm and there was not much space around me. Two people can't sleep in there. The room had also a strong smell of old building and cleaning supply, I didn't open the window as I was afraid the mosquitos will get in. I checked out after the first night as it was very hot also and I barely slept. The hotel didn't accept my request to leave earlier so I lost the money for the second night, but I slept really well at another hotel which had AC and a large bed. The girl at the front desk was very nice and friendly.
• Eric (8/5): Belle ambiance - La décoration de cet hôtel (ancienne maison close) est fantastique. Par contre, la conservation de ce style fait qu'il n'y a ni climatisation (juste un gros ventilateur, bruyant quand on le laisse fonctionner toute la nuit pour avoir un semblant de fraîcheur) ni téléviseur (mais des miroirs partout, aux murs et au plafond !). Il n'y a pas non plus de bouteille d'eau de courtoisie (et encore moins de frigo pour la tenir au frais). Ce qui fait que le confort est un peu juste, surtout quand on est Member Gold!

• William (10/5): - La Mondaine was the perfect place to stay for a quick trip for two to Paris. The room was spacious (for a reasonably priced Parisian hotel), tastefully and uniquely decorated, quiet, and had a excellent view from the two large windows. The staff was very welcoming and helpful to English speaking visitors and the house keeping team did a great job keeping the room orderly and clean. The hotel is conveniently located near the Place de Clichy metro station which provides easy access to the city. Even without the metro, the surrounding area is filled with restaurants, bakeries, and bars. Montmartre is a quick (albeit uphill) ~30 minute walk that provides a great sampling of the beauty of Paris. I will likely be returning on my next trip to Paris.

• Rucha (10/5): - Stayed here for 6 nights. The hotel is quirky and beautiful. Our room was apparently a historical room. Which probably meant it was one of the oldest rooms. The carpet smelled a little moldy but overall the room was good. The bathroom was amazing, fixtures were so heavy and of good quality. The staff was sweet and helpful. There’s a laundry across the street. Lots of groceries, cafés and restaurants around the hotel. Place di Clichy is just a couple of blocks away so train is a convenient option. The buses also go all the way to the hotel street. It doesn’t have AC, so I am not sure how summers would be in this hotel. We reached just as colder weather started so we were fine most of the nights. Overall, very pleased with our stay.
• Adil (8/5): Excellent for vacation - This hotel has great character and the staff are incredibly nice. The metro stations are within walking distance. I think it is a wonderful hotel if you are on vacation but for business if you need to work in the evening it’s not so easy.

• Victor (10/5): Fell in love with La Mondaine - Probably our biggest highlights of our Paris honeymoon trip was staying at La Mondaine. EXCELLENT experience came with EXCELLENT service. If the pictures didn’t catch your eye already i hope This review convinces you because we absolutely loved staying here during our time. The aesthetic is so romantic and so memorable that we want to re create it back at our home. The espresso was amazing. The breakfast was sooooo beautiful. The champagne was nothing short of amazing. We love La Mondaine and we can’t wait to come back and experience all the other rooms.
• Rhys (10/5): Great location, very polite, attentive staff. - We loved our stay at La Mondaine. The location was superb, very easy to reach from Place de Clichy and Blanche metro stations, lots of restaurants, bars, bakeries in the area. The service at the hotel was so so efficient and helpful, the staff were very polite and the 24hr reception is a great feature and allowed us to check out very early on our last day. The decor of the rooms is warm and dated (in a good way), and the mirrors on the walls are very cool. I really recommend this hotel, it is very reasonably priced for Paris and will make you want to go back!

• Andrew (8/5): - There are many things that make the property unique, most obvious being its past. The staff was wonderful and spoke english which helped a lot. Our room was on the top floor, and we even had a view of the Eiffel Tower. (just the tip). Be aware: For all “spoiled” Americans (like us), please remember, most European boutique hotels do NOT have air conditioning, this includes the La Mondaine. We loved the hotels’ location, surrounding food, and night life. But get used to keeping those big windows wide open during the warmer months.

It was exactly 34 degrees in room. Very annoying. Will not come back. Room without TV also contrary what is written in description of room.

• Charlie (8/5): - The hotel is very unique and stylish, particularly for the price. Each room is different and the communal area downstairs has the feel of a fashionable bar. The staff are very friendly, speak excellent English and provide a bar service to your room 24hrs a day. We stayed on a hot night in July 2022 and the only downside is that with the windows open the noise from the bars below is very disruptive. This isn’t the hotel’s fault but worth bearing in mind if it is going to be warm during your stay as there is no A/C in the hotel.

Our stay was perfect and in walking distance to Montmarte and many choices of restaurants and bars. The metro was also a short distance from the hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Some minor things I would change is a second table next to the bed on one side, and a place to place your bag on or some shelve to put your cloths on. All staff was really friendly and helpful. All in all a great location for a good price in a very nice and happening neighborhood!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a very small and lovely hotel very well situated in Paris. It has a very old vibe to it and misses a lot of the "technological" aspects of modern hotels (No TV. No central AC. No room card but old school key meaning you have to turn every single light switch manually) but that is part of the charm of this hotel!
• Nate (10/5): - Great little hotel in a nice location. Reception staff were very nice and super helpful. The room itself was really charming. It did lack a few of the basics you'd be use to at a larger hotel, like TV or air conditioning or a stand up shower but for a few days it was more than adequate. The street itself has two quite busy bars so if you are staying the summer months you might want to ask for a room to rear of the property.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - This place is pretty and unique, but neither particularly comfortable nor convenient. I could not check in until 5:00 pm, which is much later than advertised. Although there is wifi, the service is very slow in the rooms. My window opened onto another wall, so there was no air circulation. There was no side table or lamp by the bed and just a tiny ceiling light, so impossible to read in the evening. The bathroom towel holder fell into my hands when I pulled the towel.
• Jillian (8/5): A French fantasia - I chose La Mondaine because I wanted a taste of luxe, garish, over-the-top French decoration, and that's exactly what you get here. The lobby is lovely, service was great, check-in and out easy. The area is close to Pigalle for great nightlife, and a nice walk to Montmarte, and close to the subway for anywhere else you may need to get. Our room was on the top floor, with sloping attic ceilings, black and white tiling, cheetah floors and bed, and a shower made for two. It was lovely to open up the windows and have a drink while gazing out over the Parisian rooftops. People shared the hotel was loud, but we had no problems with noise at night. Only wish we could have had a room with a bath!

• Ling (10/5): Best value hotel in Paris - Mom and I stayed in the hotel for seven nights and enjoyed every single minute of it. The receptionists Alain and Naomi are extremely helpful, from helping us make restaurant reservations, reminding us the protest areas, offering ice for our champagne, and showing us the best areas to visit. We also moved to a room that has large tub in the room. Highly recommend for couples.

Staff were more than accommodating when I messages to arranged a special room and champagne for a special birthday and really went above and beyond throughout our stay. The staff was very friendly, the whole place was spotless, and while they didn’t have a coffee maker or a kettle in the room (really my only complaint), the front desk sent up hot water upon request. • Verified traveler (10/5): You will not regret booking this hotel! - This hotel is absolutely gorgeous ; a true gem located 5 minutes from the metro and walking distance from the famous Moulin Rouge and many top rated restaurants. Was truly astounded by the attention to detail and was very pleased with the room I was given. The standard double room was full of character and the perfect size for a solo traveller. It was cleaned thoroughly each day and staff were able to provide me an iron and ironing board upon request. My room was on the street facing side on the 4th floor and the noise from the bar was well blocked out when the windows were closed. The walls on the otherhand were very thin and unfortunately I was kept awake on two nights due to the noisey people in the room next to me. The staff were very helpful when I reported it and I had no issues with noise from then onwards. The concierge is managed 24 hours but I recommend informing the staff on reception if you need to check out early (e.g. pre 8 am) Overall staff were very friendly and the owner even came to my rescue when I locked myself out of my suitcase! Would highly recommend this hotel to solo traveller, couples and photographers looking for a unique location. Would definitely stay here again.
