• Kevin (6/5): Location great! Facilities…not so good! - If you’re looking for a hotel right in the center of everything and close to the beach, but not on the beach… This is the hotel for you! However, if you want a comfortable and cozy room with a nice hotel or resort like feel, don’t stay here. You can tell they rushed their renovations and there is a roach issue. Also, they didn’t have a blankets or extra linen. The view from the rooftop pool was also good. The cleaning ladies were not very friendly or helpful. I would never stay there again.
• Jon (2/5): - I had paid my stay during booking weeks in advance. When i got to the property at 6:30pm, i found its offices closed. Locals where trying to help me carry luggage which was very uncomfortable. I called number that was attached to the glass door & no answer. Security guard called an “attendant” and no answer. I was left wondering the streets with wife & luggages. Worst experienced ever. I had to pay a hostel $100 for overnight stay & no hot water but at least found somewhere to stay.

The air conditioning in place cold air pushed dirt and bed smells. For seven nights ve got two towels only . In a bathroom no hand towels and no hot water , I’m showering in a cold water The noise end the laud music lets you fall in sleep after four a clock every night. Definitely I can not recommended to nobody this place. Just destroyed my vacation!!

Everything in the pictures that’s advertised is false, they have roaches, no wash cloths, no blankets, no hot water, water smells like swear, the AC don’t work, they didn’t give us the room we paid for, the bed was very small.

The bed was uncomfortable, curved, and didn’t fit the frame properly. The noise level was unbearable, with thin walls that didn’t block any sound, making it difficult to sleep. Not as advertised...

• Jonathon (2/5): Don't stay here. Save your money. - The hotel is a scam. Do not stay here. Save your money and go somewhere better. The biggest issue with this hotel is half the things on the listing are a lie and the photos barely resemble what you actually get. The listing states the hotel has "a private beach". It does not. The staff simply tell you to "wander down to the beach and buy a few drinks at the beach clubs of other hotels and (those other hotels) will probably let you stay". There were 2 pools, however one was green with algae and unusable the other was okay but small (on a rooftop) with no sun shade. There was no spa. The restaurants and bars are just ones that happen to be around the area, not ones exclusively for the hotel. The rooms were cheap with heavily damaged furniture. The bed was listed as a queen. It was a double and a stained mattress from the what looked like the 1980s. There was a kitchen, but no kitchenware. The shower and sink faucets were all heavily rusted around the outsides of the metal pipes / faucets, and the water smelled like it was salty (likely causing the corrosion). The doorhandle to our room was barely attached (missing crews) and not functioning correctly. The front desk sent a maintenance guy, who took a look, told us he would be back shortly, and never returned. The breakfast was okay (and the only decent part of the whole experience). Luckily we were only here for a night. I'd be devastated if I'd paid for a week in Punta Cana and ended up with such awful accomodation.

The hotel staff was very unfriendly and couldn't care less as I told them that the room I was standing in was very dirty and there was no hot water. Around the hotel, there is nothing, just a couple of very bad restaurants and no nightlife. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

I had contacted the Staff thru the WhatsApp # I was given and noone answered my texted but they had time to read them. I finally went to the reception the following day and their excuse for not answering was that they had too many messages. I was asking for 2 towels and a blanket since i was only given the sheet on the bed even though i booked it for 4 people and my daughter and granddaughter had to sleep on a pleather sofa bed with no sheets!!!

They did not do the effort to even tell us how to get to the pool, if there was even one. We didn’t find it, no one to ask. Elevators were broken. Over all I would only recommend if staying for just 1 night.

• German Miguel (6/5): - I recently stayed at the Ducassi Suites Rooftop Pool Beach Club & Spa, and overall, the experience was decent, but not exceptional. The location is one of the strongest aspects of the property, as it’s conveniently close to the beach and nearby shops, making it easy to explore the local area. The rooftop pool was a nice feature, providing great views of the surroundings, though it did get crowded at times. The rooms were spacious and clean, but I felt they were a bit basic in terms of amenities. Some of the furniture seemed a bit outdated, and the Wi-Fi connection was spotty at best, which was frustrating when trying to stay connected. The bed was comfortable, though, and housekeeping did a good job keeping everything tidy. The beach club was nice, but there were additional charges for certain amenities, which felt a bit unnecessary given the price of the stay. The spa was relaxing, though I found the services to be somewhat overpriced compared to similar hotels in the area. Customer service was hit-or-miss. Some staff members were very friendly and helpful, while others seemed indifferent and not as attentive. Check-in took longer than expected, and communication could have been better throughout the stay. In summary, Ducassi Suites has some good qualities, like the location and the rooftop pool, but there were some drawbacks in terms of room quality and service. After one night of being there asked to be transferred to their other property across the street. The cat's corner that you see in the pictures is not really how it looks and to get there at times is unsafe. Even after we trans ferred over to the property next door although it was better in looks. It was still unacceptable bedding was awful and no hot water. After being on their properties for a total of three nights. We could not handle it anymore and went down to Brevard Beach resort which was extremely nice less expensive and finally we able to have a vacation that we thought we were receiving. So don't wait to cancel your reservation at this place. Because at this point the property has not offered to help or reimburse at all for the four nights we did not stay there. Very unsatisfied and we'll never stay at that property again far from a resort.....I've stayed in a two-star hotels that were better than that!!!!

• Alicia (6/5): - The hotel rooms were not cleaned properly and had a nasty smell. Had to transfer to the second building across the street which was a little better. The ac was not working properly the entire trip.
• Jasmine (10/5): - Hotel is very nice, Beautiful grounds, big pool. Beaches very nice. Actually, we spent all our time at the beach.
• Helen (10/5): - Stuff is incredible and the entertainment team was a blast . tons of activities to do during the day and night activity as well. The beautiful ground was so nice to walk around, would definitely return.

• Ricardo (2/5): - I have never done a review before but this time I feel compel to do one for this property. First, the owner needs to burn it down and start over. I originally thought this was hotel according to the listing but it’s not. Imagine taking a shower with salt water, literally. We had to buy bottles of water to brush our teeth and I had to shower at my friend’s hotel. I knew something was up when the front desk gave me the keys to go look at the room and comeback to officially book (that’s unheard of). At that point, we had no choice because our flight was delayed, we got there late and everything for that weekend was basically booked. Next, the appliances are rusted (literally), bathroom has plumbing issues, ceiling bathroom looks like it is about to cave in, they advertised 2 bedrooms but it is actually a studio with a pull out sofa bed… The list is long but I’ll just leave it here and simply say, whoever the owner of that unit are, shame on them. They need to do something about that unit and stop listing it as a hotel because it is not.
• Yessica (4/5): - The pictures online WAS NOT what was presented in person. It was a misled, misinformation and it wasn’t until I was there in person that I realized that the pictures did not reflect anything that was advertised online. The bathroom was constantly flooded with water under the sink and I had to use towels to dry up the water off the floor. It was hard to see the water which could had been a serious fall hazardous for their staff or the guest. I know how Dominican operate and if there was an injury they would deny that the water was there fault or or that the injury was any or their responsibility. The sink and shower water smelled like sewage. I noticed that there were other units that were flooding with water as well because water was leaking through the hallway as well. They were limited in hotel supplies; I asked 3x for an iron after that I gave up. No face cloths, iron board and the sofa couch was covered in tiny ants. The maintenance guy came and sprayed the couch and got rid of them; I never used the couch again after that. I had to purchase my own paper towel. Linens were not changed during my room’s cleaning day. The bed was just made and floors mopped. Shower head were filled with soap scum and I had to constantly call for assistance because something wasn’t working properly. Great food area and the area was safe but I will not book this hotel again. Please stay away if you want a piece of mind at night.
• Gillian Lee (2/5): - The advertising was a total misrepresentation. The suites were dirty, there was no spa . The surroundings very dated and rundown. It was advertised with a private beach. We had to walk to the beach through dirty streets and alley ways!! The smell of sewerage on the street as you step out of the suites was deplorable! The kitchen was very dirty and all the appliances were rusty and in very bad condition. We did not use the kitchen at all. The bathroom was old and run down. The room was never cleaned . They did, however change the sheets and put clean towels out every two days, but never cleaned, swept or refreshed the room. Very disappointed.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible service - Terrible service. Jessica at the front desk was pounding at my door at 11PM because she didn’t run my card at check in and couldn’t wait until the morning. Extremely rude about it too vs apologetic Good proximity to beach but old facilities / rooms
• Kailas (4/5): - Terrible ameneties and service! Never again! Broken shower, dirty linen everywhere, no hot water, dirty and smelling water, no working air conditioner at 90deg, broken fridge, no wifi. Very noisy neighborhood, room not insulated.leaky windows and short curtains. No working TV or Cable! THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR ROOM SERVICE. NO PHONE.No one answers the whatsapp number. Only saving grace is good dining options arounnd along with a 24x7 pharmacy on property. Please save your money and your health.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Missing sofa bed. - Room was incorrectly described as a queen bed with a queen sofa. There was only a queen bed.
• Alan F (8/5): Beach stay (even though not actually on beach. - Hotel was in a good location. Dated fixtures and really water is only tepid. Fridge in our room was not plugged in and subsequently did not smell good. Avoided putting anything in there. At check-in were told we could check in prior to three pm despite sign on the wall which said two pm. Got breakfast vouchers but place to eat breakfast did not open until ten am. Not really good for morning travellers.

• Brandy (4/5): - There is no people to clean your room or brooms to borrow. Even if you ask day after day. The sofa is not a sofa bed. Only one room has an air conditioner and it doesn’t cool the entire place. There is no warm water. The tv sometimes works sometimes doesn’t.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Not recommended at all - Terrible experience, bathroom dirty and terrible smell, floor was dirty, same as the bed found hair on it, very poor maintenance in the room I fell no safe because balconies connected each other to go the pool so I had people passing by every time by my room, windows can’t be locked making unsafe even the windows are high. Definitely I won’t recommend at all.
• Nella (6/5): - Its a about less than 10 minutes walk to the beach . Mini market , bars and restaurants just next door . Tourists area . The fridge didnt work just the freezer part , we have to constantly ask for towels and toilet paper . Theres three of us not enough supplies. Lost our breakfast coupons no replacement. I lost it inside our room . I left it inside my backpack. The next day it wasn’t there anymore. Dont leave valuables , lesson learned. Location is perfect. Close to everything. At check out, we asked if we can stay for another hour since our departure is 6:25 pm . The want to charge us another $10 U.S . No consideration at all !! They seem to forget that they didnt fully accomodate us . Asking for supplies all the time . There was no extra beddings for the sofa bed . Definately not coming back !!
• Ivan (2/5): Stay away - I had to book another accommodation as there was no hot water. The alternative room was offered, where AC did not work. The place has old furniture that is falling apart. The pillows were dirty with moldy stains on it. The staff did not care at all. Stay away from this place.
• Ilgar (8/5): - It's fine when you request to change towels or sheets; that's clean, but some things are really old, and the WiFi doesn't work properly, which is really bad during vacation.
• Brian (6/5): Good for the price - Check-in is across the street at the Tropicana. My TV didn't work and my air conditioning was having issues. I just cleaned the filter on the air conditioner and it worked fine. The smell in the water is from the hot water heater . The cold water doesn't smell. It's in a great location and can't beat the price
• Argelis (2/5): Last time staying here, won’t recommend - I will never stay at this hotel/Suite again. They will show you pictures online and your room will be completely different compared to the pictures online.
• Kristopher (2/5): - I booked on Expedia and when we got the hotel the front desk manager told us we did not have a reservation and that were out of capacity. when I showed her my confirmation from Expedia that our reservation was booked and confirmed she told us that they use too many booking agencies and they couldn’t keep track of them all. So inconvenient.

• J Carlos (2/5): Worse ever hotel - Horrendous I booked a Mastee deluxe Suite at Ducasi, NOT at “tropics” the budget resort next to it. The service was the worse ever. Had to move hotel and they staff didn’t care. I don’t understand why hotels.com Allows this misleading and not getting responsible
• Almina (8/5): - This is our second stay here and this time everything was even better. This is the best match of value and location in this area.
