We had an issue with my ice bucket being Moldy and politely asked for another. He completely ruined my trip over this for all I was asking for was another bucket and he refused, angrily mind you. We were not treated with even the minimal ounce of respect. I was thrown off and confused. Totally ruined the my Everything else was phenomenal

When the kids wake up in adjacent rooms, everyone on the floor knows it. Well worth what we paid. No nonsense, no creeps and no bugs!

Lola (2/5): - What a disappointment. As friendly as the person was at the front desk , it did not make up for the rest. We had the “ocean view” suite. First of all, shame on Expedia for allowing them to claim its ocean view. The only window was in the bathroom and you would need to be right up against the window to see a slight glimpse of the water. The room itself had NO window, it was like a bunker. The bed was lumpy and too soft. The sheets were among the cheapest quality I’ve ever seen. The pillow was extremely lumpy and unusable. The room.. oh wait they called it a suite, had no TV service. The listing did not disclose it was on the second floor and with no elevator. Last disappointment was the rate we paid … over $385 CN for one night. Even if this rate was half, I do not recommend staying here.
David (8/5): A little off the beaten path, but that is what I loved. - Loved the independent feel of this hotel. The suite was spacious and the bed super comfortable. The drive to the location (about 35 minutes outside of St Johns) is gorgeous. Our room was advertised as being an "ocean view"... this is a bit if an exaggeration (yes, the ocean was visible in the distance from the bathroom window)... but not too big of a deal. The in-room AC units are quite loud, and there was noise from the hallway or outside that was quite constant.

Ruth (6/5): Decent place to stay near St, John’s - Nice area to stay in. Close to restaurants, stores etc. Lots of choices. Lots of fluffy Towels & hot water. TV had lots of channels, Netflix, etc. Room seemed clean but there was a bit of a smell. Had to open window to try to air it out.

I was misinformed by booking.com that this motel was 5 minutes from St.John's Airport, when it is actually 45 minutes away. Was not what i wanted. The room was clean and comfortable. The reception was a young man Bradley, was very polite and gave me a side door key as my room was right beside the door for easier access, however, in the morning i took my coffee outside to sit on the stoop and enjoy the fresh air for a bit but could not get back into the motel and had to wake up the owner to get back into the motel as i could not get the key to work. So sorry to disturb you. Front reception does not open until 10 and i was up about 7:15 so i waited until about 8 to call about being stuck outside. Felt bad about waking the owner but was still in my pj's and needed to get packed etc to get back on the road to continue on to Gander and my next motel. Easier access to re-entry to the motel so i did not have to disturb anyone to get back in, again i felt bad for having to awaken the owner as the key to the side door was not working for me.

Wobbly toilet that gets clogged easily and staff seemed to blame us for it saying they don't have any plumbing issues at the hotel. No laundry facilities, no on site breakfast or food.

ChrisToronto (10/5): St John's (region) motel - Newfound Inns and Suites (was Sunset Motel). I stayed here (Conception Bay South) in 2017 and booked in again for four nights. This is still a decent and affordable quiet motel at $644 for four nights. Use Google Maps and see that you are less than thirty minutes from downtown St John’s, and even less to Mount Pearl, where I have done a great deal of shopping from hardware and specialty stores. I will stay here next time I visit St John’s, but will bring my own cake of soap (the sliver provided is almost too small for my hands to grip) and will purchase a carton of milk for my tea. Major caveat: The bath/shower in my room was slippery; there are no “grip strips” to engage the feet; I got scared twice too often.
